So, with the new ‘megaserver’, say goodbye to this altogether?
I have used this as a legitimate way to make money in-game for over a year now.
gg
I’m guessing anet wants more ppl flipping the TP for gold?It may still be possible. Maps will have less chance to despawn because there will be more players per map after the merge.
That’s distinctly possible. The apps showing the layouts of different servers may no longer be possible though if they are going to be condensed down to a few severs. And it sounds like you don’t be able to select one map that has a good layout but will get whatever map the computer puts you on.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
You also need to say what server group, NA or EU.
Probably because the PvP locker will be removed on the 15th so they didn’t bother to update it. After the 15th there will be just one locker, for both PvE and PvP, and it will go in there.
Then you need to contact support if you think it’s mistaken. Top of page-support, then top of page-submit a request.
Also, the bans/suspensions don’t come from what you are doing right at that time but from actions in the past that were reported or caught by ANet’s computers. Each report has to go to someone who is already working on other reports. They have to get to it after doing the reports before yours then review it then make a decision. Depending on how busy they are it could be hours to days from initial report to ban.
When I logged on last night it wasn’t on. I tried changing my settings from lowest to higher and then zoned a couple of times. It came on after that.
They are likely now to do something like this every year. I suggest you note it down on your calendar and brace yourselves for further ‘outrages’ of this sort. If it going to bother you that much then be prepared from now on to skip this day.
You might want to put your suggestion in this thread here as it’s the ‘official’ thread for suggestions like these. :-)
Thanks but no thanks.

No April fools jokes?
It will probably just be SAB World 3, although I hope that I am wrong.
I never really liked that tbh.
I miss all the shenanigans anet would pull on us in Guild Wars 1. I don’t know why they decided to change their minds on the tradition of messing with the players.
How about giant bobble heads on everyone. Would that count toward the tradition of messing with the players?
Uhm…You can see what professions you have and at what level in your Hero Panel: Crafting. There is a drop list if you have more than one learned. No cost, no need to go anywhere.
I’ll have to check that. I know it shows the 2 active ones. I was unaware that it showed the inactive ones also as it’s never given me the option to see more then those 2.
Try adjusting your settings to lowest then log out and back in. The bobble head did not show for me until I put my setting to higher.
If there is one.
While there is a collection expander in the gem store, the regular stack max in collections is 250 of something. You can either sell it or craft copper or bronze bars, or move it over to regular inventory on the other tab, or make a personal guild and get enough influence to get a vault and use that for storage of non account/soul bound items.
I do miss the joke skills that the wiki had for April Fool’s in GW1. I don’t think we’ll see the same from Anet this year, as it’s a different Anet that brought out GW1-style April Fool’s and are a bunch of humourless kittens.
Last year they had SAB as their joke, so they were kind of let off the hook.
They do seem to have lost that touch of lightness, of humor. I guess making MMOs is serious bizzness. No joking around here.
C’mon ANet. Give us some laughs.
Forget the heroes. I want my Headless Lunatic Finery back. There’s nothing that beats running around in a dungeon or WvW like a headless noob. :P
I hope so. It would reset all those old node sites in Frostgorge that are no longer valid. The node maps are a mess. :/
Reset happens at 5pm server time. To find the server time go into options, general options, to ingame clock, change to server time.
Server time is Pacific Time in the USA, the region where ANet is based. As to why it’s 5pm PT and not midnight PT? Who knows.
Before this ‘change’, Frostgorge AND Orr node locations only changed if there was an update/patch/ninja patch or maintenance. Period. Been doing this for a year & a half every single day, on multiple 80’s.
The maps, after all, are instances. When all the people leave the instance, the instance disappears. When someone enters the instance then it reappears and the nodes are set into their new spots.
I can think of 3 possible reasons for this suddenly happening.
1) low general population.
2) lower amount of farming in FG and Orr. People are making money somewhere else.
3) guesting. People are looking the mats with the best layouts and going there to farm. Leaving the other maps to empty out.

Since launch I’ve killed 27 giants. Somehow I don’t think I’m going to get 1000 anytime soon.
I was rather peeved when I went out of my way to kill a couple of those annoying Veteran Risen Giants and then found out they didn’t count. >.>

https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/introducing-the-wardrobe-system/
“For the Wardrobe, we’ve changed skins to an account-wide unlock system. Skins can be unlocked by using consumables, equipping items, salvaging equipment, or right-clicking on equipment and account-binding it. Items that you acquire that are already bound to your account automatically unlock their skin when they go into your inventory. Unlocked skins can be applied to items infinitely (for just one Transmutation Charge), which makes it much less stressful to try out a new look for your character, since you can always switch back!”
It says they go into your wardrobe if you equip, salvage, or right click and account bind, which means for free.
Tell him you will eat your veges and clean your room if he plays with you.
Is there a reason you can’t afford such a small fee to travel…?
It’s like a few silver at most >.>A few silver is no small fee. I can’t even count how many times I have died and was forced to log out and back in as I did not have the silver to revive at a waypoint. And don’t even say “but the nearest waypoint is free when you die.” It’s not free if the nearest waypoint is contested and you are forced to choose a waypoint farther away.
I’ve stopped using waypoints. I now walk (yes, I walk. I don’t run.) from zone to zone and forsake all forms of fast travel whenever possible.
Question. I thought if you died and logged out, you would still be dead when you logged back in. One time my warrior died and I logged out. She was still dead when I logged back in the next day. (She fell off a cliff in the Straits of Devastation, surrounded by contested waypoints). >.> Unless it’s because you don’t even have one silver in your account?
I die and can’t WP because I’m too poor to pay and the nearest WP is contested. I log out, log back in and am very much alive and standing in my racial capital city. Often, I have only copper and nothing more in my wallet. I don’t know the game mechanics involved but I do know that it works. I’ve done it numerous times as I had no other choice but to sit and wait indefinitely for some player to come along and revive me.
I see. It must be one of the game mechanics to let you log back in alive if you don’t even have enough to pay for a waypoint in your account. Maybe keep enough for a few waypoints in your account, maybe one gold, or ask a guildie for a loan instead of the long run or waiting for a helpful stranger is an option? It’s hard to believe that there is someone who has played the game for very long and has made only a few copper. If your money is tied up in the trading post for example, your decision to not even have 10 silver for daily expenses in inventory is a decision, not a problem with the game mechanics.
I don’t join guilds. I don’t run fractals or other group dungeons. I spend most of my game time wandering aimlessly around Tyria, living in the moment.
I see that you have been posting on the forum for 11 months now. I assume you have been playing at least some of this time. In all the time you’ve been playing you still don’t have more than a few copper in inventory? You don’t harvest anything? Sell the loot from kills? I don’t run fractals or dungeons either and I’m not so dirt poor that I can’t afford a waypoint. Just selling the drops is more than sufficient to pay for daily expenses. I’m sorry, but your story so far isn’t making sense to me.
If you are playing but not harvesting to recoup expenses or selling loot, then that’s a decision you made, not a problem with the game mechanics.

Just checking. Some people try to log in with their display name (Stonish). It’s your email and password. Make sure you aren’t making a typo when logging in, that’s another common problem. If it’s neither of these and you can’t log in then you will need to contact support. Top of page-support, then top of page-submit a request.
This is the second thread you’ve made about Evon. Why are you so obsessed with him? Surely it’s not true love that makes you keep posting about him? O.o

I know Henge of Denravi is trying it at 4pm server time. However I gather they are having problems getting enough people (and yesterday some problems with people trolling the event) but you can give it a try.
I know a roundabout way. Go to the crafting NPCs who changes your crafting profession and get the dialog to change to that one. Look at the cost to change. If it costs 40 silver to get it then you know you have that one maxed out. By looking at the cost you can calculate how far you are in that profession. You don’t need to accept the change. You can then write down which character has which and at what level once you figure it out.
It’s a bit of a pain since you have to check each NPC but it doesn’t cost you anything but time to do so.
There are several TTS guilds which specialize in killing Teq. I’m not a member of one so can’t give you any member names. I suggest you check the Looking for Guild and the Guild Recruitment forums or to ask in a busy map, such as the Vigil, for someone to give you a name if you don’t get one off of the forum.
I don’t think you do, but can’t you first chose the stats then put the Holographic Dragon wings cover on it afterwards if you think it’s going to be a problem?
The new LA is Vigils keep. It’s in the top right of Gendarren Field. There you can find the services, including the portals, except for crafting. For crafting you will need to go to a racial city. To get to Vigils you can go to the PvP area and take what is still named the Lions Arch portal.
The activities are at Vigil also. Head south towards the red circle on the minimap. There are crossed flags showing where the activities NPC is standing.
Some useful sites for temples (for karma armor), farming and events. You will need to select your server.

Because the Asura designed them. It’s their technology and there is a for use fee. And because you are a Bookah.
I’ve been getting them frequently lately. It’s all the same site as they all say at the end, Hace a good day, even though they are each from a different account. I was wondering if they are targeting people through the Leaderboard. They can see not only the high AP people but can also see the accounts which log on frequently and can use this information to pick out the active accounts.
It’s NOT from the leaderboards as I don’t even know what the leaderboards are(LOL), so, I must be #0 on them(again LOL).
Well, it’s wouldn’t be if you know where the leaderboard is, but if they do.
And by the way you have 10,942 achieve points which puts you at 90%. And from the leaderboards, I see you played today. ^^ https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/na/achievements

Let him know this will give the 2 of you quality time together. Which can be hard for parents and kids to get nowadays.
It would seem to be a net loss for most players imo. I doubt people died often enough in general PvE for armor repairs to be a burden. The only place I can see it costing much is in WvW.
Karka farm??! It doesn’t exist. There is no such thing as a karka farm!! Shoo!! Move on!
The Moa-Meat-Train is all the rage these days, anyways.
Ummm. Do you mind not telling everyone my super secret plan to economic world domination?
They’re a convenience item. Keep one in inventory and if you ever get to the stage where all your armor is damaged then you don’t have to leave where you are to find a repair NPC.
I’ll like the same information too. 10 gold for only a few minutes in game, reliable and repeatable, that everyone who reads this thread can get, sounds epic. (But extremely unlikely).
Well, the 2 linked accounts do have the same login. So if you are using the same login and not making a typo then you will need to contact support. Top of page-support, then top of page-submit a request.
Never heard of any organized groups farming Karkas. If they are they are keeping quiet about it.
Maybe get on a Karka Queen event and afterwards see if you can interest some people in staying to farm vets.
I’m just not sure about seeing a huge two handed sword projecting from the codpiece. Just thinking about it makes me feel as nervous as an old maid in an asparagus patch. O.o
Not to mention makes me feel a little inadequate.
It’s the same thing as guys with fancy sports cars or big hummers. When you see a norn with a dagger in his codpiece, you know he’s a keeper.
A dagger? If I’m going to choose between a dagger and a greatsword…… Well, the dagger better have an awesome animation.
i wana be like sheeva mortal kombat that would be cool
cos then you could have ……… two greatswords , boob swords and all the shoulder pads ya want
this is the way forward
Absolutely, not only that I’d like to equip Sheevas in my weapon slots.
hey she has 4 arms big boobs and 4 shoulders you can than equip it all , so there for does it not seem the way forward to have two greatswords boobs swords/pistol and then the shoulder pads to boot she would be invincible
If she could be a Mesmer that would be awesome. Just think, 4 of her at once. Greatswords Everywhere.

Codpiece slot? This is totally unfair to us women!!!
Now I demand being able to equip a Two-Handed Weapon from each boob. So there.
Help me I’m dying
I’ll allow men to equip either a one handed or a very small 2 handed from the chest region. Only fair since their attributes in that area are smaller.
I demand two helmets.
That’s a much better idea, I’d level up my armorer to 500 to get an ascended codpiece.
Mmm totally worth. Furthermore we should be able to equip a Two-Handed Weapon in our codpiece slot.
Too much? This thread is getting out of control.

Just to make sure, are you using email and password. Sometime people try to use Display name (BoCsa) instead of email.
I demand 4 arms so I can use double two handed weapons at once. They’re not two handed if you can use them with one hand, by definition.
Sell them on the TP now if you aren’t going to use them. And no, you won’t get refunded for them if you don’t use them.
