It’s not on the log in screen where you do the transferring. There is no way they can put all the information concerning transfers there. You need to research it first before you spend money. Go to the wiki and type transfer to get basic information.

Access to guild improvements on the new world
“When you move, you will lose access to all your guild improvements on your original world (unless you move back). This includes any guild vault and all of its contents. Accordingly, if you have any items stored in a group or personal guild vault, be sure to move them to one of your existing characters and/or your personal bank before transferring”.

The humiliation of death > repair costs.
Ive never ever cared about repair costs but letting my commrades down by rally botting is a big isssue for me.
Exactly. It’s the part where I die and let the others down that is the bad part for me. Paying a few silver for repairs? I don’t even consider that.
It depends. I just checked that site listed and there was one spot open in both NA and EU. The best time to look is prime time, which is around reset on the NA servers.
There are only 2 ways to transfer. One is to pay to transfer using gems and the other is to delete all your characters. If you delete your characters you will lose any items not removed and put into your bank. Also any soulbound items will not be useable. You will keep any extra character slots you bought.
I’m not sure exactly how you are having a problem. Have you tried simply running into the camp, making a suicide run if absolutely necessary? It should show up if you run inside the camp. If you have been inside the camp and nothing happens, are you sure you don’t already have it and it’s a different one you are missing? It’s not any different from any other poi. It registers when you get close enough.
Idk. I’ve gotten used to seeing the game through a tunnel of UI elements above, below to the right and to the left. If I could actually see the environment around me and not feel like I’m wearing blinders like a horse, it wouldn’t feel like Guild Wars 2.
You went to private property where you have an invitation. Expect to get tossed out. You’re lucky it’s not in Rata Sum. They throw people in jail there for trespassing.
One thing that occurred to me, just how long do the tonics last? Surely ANet didn’t make them like the Watchknight Tonic. Useable in combat BUT only for FIVE minutes then there is a THIRTY MINUTE cooldown. A totally unnecessary restriction that they might just have added to the clothing tonics.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Infinite_Watchknight_Tonic
Notes
The tonic is a combat transformation, meaning you can still fight and use all your skills while transformed.
Using this tonic causes the effect Recently Transformed, which prevents any further combat transformations for 30 minutes.
The transformation shows your weapons and backpieces. ((Currently does not show backpieces))
The effect lasts for 5 minutes.

Many people wanted to be able to choose their look for the clothing they wore while adventuring, not only standing around town. Apparently enough people that Anet decided to make this change. Being able to “costume” while adventuring is also a large feature in many other MMOs so having it here may attract new players.
Although I also want the “mix and match” ability.
GW has always had a general ethos of realism in the game. Like for example, you can’t make your characters look like manga or cartoon characters because they want to keep a particular sence of realism or you can’t make your characters super big or small. In my opinion, letting people be "able to “costume” while adventuring" is a step in the wrong direction. One of the things that specific and unique to GW2 is the Town Clothes system. It should be celebrated and expanded apon, not removed.
Realism? Like weapons that shoot unicorns? Or like wearing a stuffed quaggan backpack into combat?
Or maybe he means like the Lunatic Headless Court costume in Guild Wars 1. With this outfit you could either run around headless or if you equipped the flaming pumpkin head, which wouldn’t show with this outfit, you would have a flame where your head should be. Useable in combat also.
Not to mention all the tonics that turned you into various NPCs and monsters, many useable in combat also.
Yep. I usually don’t bother to repair armor till it’s all broken. And since I lag a lot and my character stand around making idling animations while things are beating on it, it happens fairly often in PvE even.
Personal guild bank inventory lost.

No, sorry, your personal guild bank is gone if you left it. They can’t roll back guild banks like they can accounts and they can’t add or remove people to a roster. They don’t have the tools for this.
No one on the forum can do anything about it. You need to update the ticket you sent support and discuss it with them.
The problem is, if it breaks TOS they can’t make exceptions. If they make an exception in your case and not in another then they can be accused of favoritism. If they are favoring some players but not others not only do they get bad press for that but someone could file a lawsuit, and yes some people file lawsuits for really frivolous reasons. If it’s proved they allowed some names that break TOS through but not others then the courts will find against them.
And just where do they draw the line if they are going to allow some names that break TOS but not others?
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
And after the new changes I’m going to make a brand new level one character, transmute all her weapons to ascended skins and dye her armor abyss, celestial and pyre. Just because I can.
I’ve done it 3 times, each time to help out guildies. It took sooooo LONG and the ingame rewards were not proportionate for the time So now I have 8 level 80 that could do it and not only do I cringe at doing this last section of the personal story because of the length of it, I also cringe at the thought of asking the guild I’m in now (my old guild with friends went bye bye months ago) to do it, taking so much of their time AND for such meager rewards for the time spent. It would be bad enough asking once. It’s worse asking 8 times. I’m not a dungeon person. I hate pugging and haven’t even done all the dungeons in game. If I could solo it like the rest of the personal story, then it would be worth trying.
While they could probably find a better way, it wasn’t randomly announced in the forums but is in the News and Announcements section. A forum for and by ANet staff only, dedicated to announcements of this sort. And I believe it was also on the log in screen for a while.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
I’d like to find out if after the patch the transmutation stone rewards at map completion and in the personal story will be converted to transmute charge rewards, and if so would it be 1 stone/1 charge or 1/3 as in one would only get one charge for every third stone reward pre patch. So would it be better to collect all available stones before April 15th to trade 3/1 for charges or rather wait till after the patch to get a better exchange rate?
No one knows the details of all this yet. No one knows if they are going to change the map completion rewards to reflect the new lower values. They might, they may even probably will, or they may remove them from map completion completely and make them gemstore purchase only. Do whichever you prefer, it’s a gamble either way.
It’s the little square at the top of the icon for headgear, gloves and backpieces. Click and unclick to hide or display.
To be fair, they did announce this on March 11th. These announcements are in the forum and I think it was also on the Guild Wars 2 log in screen.

For people that want to appeal a support decision they request the ticket number be posted in the stickied thread above, Tickets for Review 3 days and older-part 2 .
And like Inculpatus said, you should edit the post to remove the email.
Official Word:
Thank you for contacting the Guild Wars 2 Support Team with your inquiry. I am happy to provide you with some general information related to the Feature Pack that we plan to release on April 15, 2014.
Prior to the release of any build, the Guild Wars 2 Support Team is not able to answer questions or process requests for refunds, exchanges, or other transactions related to the upcoming build. Information about upcoming features will be provided via our main website and the Customer Support Knowledge Base, which you will find on the following links:
Feature Pack Blogs: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/feature-packs/
Customer Support Gameplay Knowledge Base: https://help.guildwars2.com/categories/20106471-Game-Support-Items-Characters-and-In-Game-SystemsIn you need further assistance in relation to the April 15th Feature Pack, please contact us after the pack is released so that we can review your request at that time.
Regards,
GM Metatron
Support can only give answers and refunds according to rules they are given. Right now, since this patch is not yet in place, the new rules concerning refunds on duplicate or changed items either hasn’t been given to them or perhaps are not finalized. People who want refunds need to wait till after the patch when the new refund rules are also in place. If the answer is then not satisfactory, then that’s a good time to discuss it in the forums but right now it’s too early to contact support about this.

One way to check is, not only is it your IP but when does it appear. If it only shows up when you attempt to log on and at no other times then it is coming from a request from your computer. If it was someone else then they would be attempting to log on at other times than just when you are.
I was suspicious about the strange locations with my IP but realized they were only showing up when I tried to log on. Exactly those times and no others so it had to be triggered by my computer.

I’ve seen mine with a correct IP but showing from some other city some distance away. Apparently, as long as the IP is correct that is what you go by.
You have to track down the leader. The game has no tools yet to promote someone if the leader goes missing.

If you want help from Gaile on the forum then you need to post your ticket number. She can’t see what went on without it.
Support might change you back. I’ve read a few threads where people contacted then and they were returned to their old server. That’s the only way
You should specify EU or NA. Also it’s open on 4 NA servers as I write this.
Support often can help with gem purchased items as long as they were bought with real money. If you bought it with gold, perhaps not. Apparently they don’t keep records of purchases made with gold.
This is not true. I got gems refunded in the past, that i have bought with gold.
And I’ve read posts where people said they didn’t get refunds for deleted items bought with gold, so like I said, perhaps not. It depends and they’ve never said on what exactly. He can only contact support and see what they say.

What are we supposed to do about the mind-numbing boredom factor here?
Play with friends?
Buy them with gold or money.
Buy friends with gold or money and play with them.
those 19 are more likely to drop, and are not worth very much.
but the 6 are worth a lot.
consider it a raffle. sometimes you win big, sometimes you lose small.
Or, sometimes you win big but usually you don’t.
This is a lot to take in an go through on the forums, so let me ask this: does the wardrobe remove the armor type restrictions? As in, can my mesmer wear a medium armor skin?
Doesn’t look like it. The picture I saw on page 4 of this thread, by Nabuko Darayon.9645
at 09:51, had the mouse pointing at a helm and it said heavy armor. (I tried to copy it but it came out too blurry on my iPad)
Thanks everyone, I had the email changed and it looks like the problem is solved!
That’s very interesting, and good to know. Thanks for reporting back.
@saale
Thanks for suggesting a solution for what has been a problem for many, including myself. :-)

Unless the ‘select ingame rewards’ give a lot of unid dyes it sounds like the main source will be through crafting.
Crafting does not create dyes that can be used for Bifrost.
Neither ones the mystic forge, which gives out pvp account bound dyes.
Main source appears to be from laurels (and black lion chests/gemstore)
Ow. That’s even worse than I thought. I was thinking you could craft unid dyes. Laurels is a pretty restrictive way to get them, especially for those of us still struggling to get ascended trinkets, and ascended gear, on all out alts.
They helped the people who bought multiple soulbound harvesting tools. I suspect they know about this and there will be some sort of recompense. Granted the situation is not the same but I doubt they will not address this later when it goes live.
Unless the ‘select ingame rewards’ give a lot of unid dyes it sounds like the main source will be through crafting. As I understand the mystic forge, it destroys 4 dyes to give you one and is not an true source of unid dyes.
Idk. Looks like a child’s hobby horse. If I saw someone with one of those I’d have to repress the urge to yell out, “Giddyup cowboy!”
Ambient creatures revolt. They’re all aggressive and can 1-hit you now.
Go hit one of the ambient chickens in Ebonhawke if you want a bit of fun. Better yet, do what I did. I told a guildie I was with in Ebonhawke that there is an achievement you get for hitting one. That was funny.
We both got chased out of town.
Oh! What achieve do you get for hitting those chickens? I did it long time ago and laughed myself nearly off my chair when they came after me with a vengeance but I don’t remember getting any achieve at the time or maybe I just didn’t notice from laughing so hard.
Lol. There’s no achieve for it. I was trolling him. He believed me. (Evil smile).

Rich platinum: http://gw2.mmorpg-life.com/rich-platinum-vein-map-locations/41225/
The Brisbane spot is especially good for rich iron. It has one permanent one and frequently has a second variable site one in that area.
Support will change guild names in some cases, where the name breaks TOS. You could contact them and self report, see if they will consider that as breaking TOS. However they choose the new name and you don’t get a choice.
Play all by turns. I usually pick one main for the day but may also play one or two others for a short while. And farming for ascended weapons, it helps to have multiple 80s. If I run all 9 through the Queensdale chests, I get around 180 empyreal fragments a day. I also can get a lot of iron ore/orichalcum/ancient wood by running set routes with them.

It’s to the email that the ticket is headed with, not the email linked to your account.
You think what you sold was crazy, I sold a level 3 blue dagger once for a gold plus a couple of silver.

Ok. Yours is true insanity.
Yah, maybe so. I just happened to find one in my inventory one day and couldn’t believe the price.

You can make mystic salvage kits in the mystic forge. They have 250 uses each. If you get the 3 mystic forge stones from an achievement chest and buy the fine salvage kit with karma from the cultural weapon seller in the Black Citadel then you can make the kit for 23s.36c which is 9.344 copper per use, as compared to the master kit which is 61.44 copper per use.
They actually put in a few new events, a looong time ago. There were no player comments about them in the forums, no interest generated, so apparently they decided not to put any more in. There was a post by a Dev way after they did this, saying that they had done so and commenting on the lack of player interest. In fairness to the players there were a few mitigating reasons.
1) I’m pretty sure it was during a major holiday, I think it was as the first Halloween with a whole new set of interesting quests to do with the very first vanity back piece iirc.
2) they made no announcement of it at the time.
3) it was only a few new events.
4) they were scattered all over the world.
5) if someone encountered them, they would have absolutely no way of knowing they were new events unless they had all the old events memorized.
So, since there was no buzz of excitement over them when released with no announcement during, I think, a new major holiday, apparently that made them decide adding new quests was pointless. (No comment over the logic of this, just reporting what I read about it at the time).

The responses go to the email the ticket came from. The first response is a computer generated acknowledgement that should be pretty quick. If you aren’t getting them check your spam and junk folders, sometimes they go there. Read this ticket here about lost emails.
