Really I feel sorry for anyone who actually spends money on black lion keys right now, they’re getting duped HARD because yeah, it took 25 chests to get 5 scraps for me, I had 5 left over from a prior key farm.

Black lion chests need to NEVER have crap that you can just get normally in game. Those are considered booby-prizes and make people feel like they wasted their money.

I mean the unidentified dyes (dye packs are fine), scrolls of knowledge (tomes of knowledge are fine), essences of luck, and mystery tonics.. those all need to be removed, along with wintersday gifts (when they’re in season) and alliance bags.

I won’t spend a wooden nickle on keys until the booby-prizes are all gone.

True, they may be out of season before they remove the bags. Buts it’s just so freaking annoying to get a key, open a chest and then get something that I can get in a couple of minutes while doing PvE. >.>

I guess if you want a ticket you have to open them and be annoyed. It almost feels like ANet is trolling the people who spent real money on keys. “Thanks for spending money. Here’s something you could have easily gotten in game.”

(For the record, I do key runs so for me it’s annoying. If I spent real money on keys it would be infuriating).

I don’t think they would ever do this for a couple of reasons, one is that the PvE area’s game philosophy is about cooperation. The other is because it would take people out of WvW and cause that area to potentially collapse.

You don’t pay twice, downloading the game is free. What you paid for was access to the game once it is downloaded, which you have through your email and password.

So just download it again and log on.

I don’t. And it’s very annoying. I don’t do Tequatl so the one I see the target dropping on a lot is the Golem Mark II event. I drop that target repeatedly each time I do it in spite of marking it and have to tab through inquest, golems and drakes to reacquire it.

I’m not really sure what type of guide you are looking for.

Not one that is the cheapest (tells you what to buy on the trading post first).
Not one that tells you what mats to have ahead of time.
Not one that tells you what to make or discover.

So, I guess you only want a guide that tells you how to make something? To make something, either you have to buy a recipe from a vendor or it shows up automatically on your UI. Either way, it tells you what you need to make for it.

Iirc, the numbers given by ANet for civilian deaths in the attack was something like 40 to 50k people. Some of those were obviously children, as well as elderly and invalids. I can’t find the post though where I read that so could be wrong.

So they can kill children, including Taimi. What they can’t do is show it. It will have to be off camera and we get told about it.

Apparently the Asuran child died in the attack.

The quartz node wasn’t in the gem store. It was a Living story reward. However it’s possible it may come back with the yearly return the the Bazaar.

The pick and axe may or not come back. What is more likely is for them to release a different set with their own unique animation.

The Toxic skins, who knows. It was tied into the Living Story also so my guess is the chance of them coming back soon is low and more likely for ANet to release other sets tied into new Living Story lines.

It is when others of the same ilk are trying to invalidate someone else’s comment. Especially if (not saying this is the case), one’s friends purposely got on the debate to achieve this.
My comments about the mesmer stands with me, and not you or any others will change my mind. I’m not alone.

What I think of as cutting remarks would be someone telling me I’m stupid or inflexibly old fashioned or something along that line, or even saying the people who are discussing the matter with you are “others of the same ilk” (ilk. Pronoun. Represents a group of items of the same type. Has a connotation of the typed group being of bad or questionable character). I haven’t seen any posts being cutting. I’ve seen posts saying why they disagree with you, but disagreeing is not the same as invalidating. If you feel that disagreeing and reasons why you disagree is being cutting and invalidating then it is difficult to have a discussion with you.

They may not ban for a first time scammer, it may only be 72 hours suspension. If he only get 72 hours and gets to keep your money, he may consider it a good deal, especially if he only plays 1 or 2 days a week and doesn’t even try to log on during the time he is suspended,

If your ticket is over 3 days old and support can’t seem to help you, put the ticket number in this stickied post at the top for Gaile to look at. I have heard of them giving refunds for items bought with gems that were accidentally deleted. Maybe she can see what the problem Is.

Sounds like you missed at least one map. Have you done the WvW maps? Did you do the Fields of Ruins way off to the east?

The only time they allow the Display name (Arachnid.4062) to be changed is if it has real world information such as your actual name or if it breaks TOS in some form. So in your case the answer is no.

To those asking for changes to the Display Name: There are very good reasons why we do not offer the changes as a service at this time. If we allow changes of display names, a person who has been harassing another player will be hidden from that victim’s sight. Several other factors of “individual accountability” can be negated by simply hiding behind a new display name.

An offensive name will be changed — once — and it will be changed by a GM using an anagram system, so the user does not get the privilege of choosing the second name.
A display name will be changed to prevent the disclosure of personal information. For instance, the display name is the player’s real name or even email address. We have improved the account creation process to make it clear how display names function, and we even have expanded the User Agreement to accomplish the same objective. If players know that your display name is actually displayed in the game and on the forums, they’ll be less likely to use a name that poses a security risk. If they know that using an offensive name results in a randomly chosen name, they’ll be less likely — one hopes — to choose an unacceptable name.

Some of the same arguments about display name changes also applied to character names, but as you know, we made that option available when the feature could be properly developed. At some point we may make a feature available that allows a player to change his/her display name, but if we do, I am confident it will take into consideration all the risks of those changes, and address them effectively.
In the meantime, and with all due respect, we will decline to change display names unless they involve one of the two exceptions cited above.

Not doing enough damage? That’s usually why someone doesn’t get XP. There is a minimum threshold of damage that has to be made. Try switching to grenades and see if that helps. If you don’t have access to grenades yet, try rifle or pistols.

I buy 10 to 20 dollars worth of gems each month. I’m happy to do that to buy DIRECTLY the things I want. But I do key runs because I disapprove of gambling using real money.

Well I guess everyone has their own reasons for doing so, for me it’s a form of protest I don’t agree with their lottery keys. If more players would act as I do for keys instead of acting like a bunch of sheep and buying keys then maybe eventually they would change the drop rate.

It’s a form of protest for me also. I want the weapon skins and I would be willing to pay if I could buy them outright in the gem store for a reasonable cost. But I am not willing to reward ANet with money for putting things in gamble boxes. To me, making a form of gambling for real money like that feels almost unethical. So, I do key runs and get the weapon skins I want that way.

In addition there is the cost. To get enough scraps for one ticket would be about $40 to $50 USD, and sometimes it’s much more, I’m not willing to pay that much and I’m not willing to put money into a gamble box for it.

Now I have a (admittedly) vague memory that this was actually in game at beta but that it was taken out right before launch. I seem to remember posts in gw2guru with people complaining about it. It’s been close to 2 years now but that hairstyle is familiar.

Yes, they will. They are on your account, not on your characters.

However if you have a guild bank that you are the leader of, you will be unable to access it and anything you forget to take out and put in your regular bank you will be unable to get unless you ask someone else to remove it for you or until you transfer back to that server. This includes any influence you might have built up.

They send these things out to random emails in hopes of getting a hit. I got one allegedly from Blizzard about WoW and I don’t have an account with them.

I assume you are too low level to go in there. If so then I would say you have 2 choices. Get an escort of a guildie or two to go with you or wait until it no longer has those mobs. Since Scarlet is killed in this last Living Story it may be clear with the next one.

That’s how me and 2 other guildies loaned each other gold so all of us could get the Golden title. After that, true to the nature of the game, there was RNG banning, I got a permanent ban for gold selling/buying which required a ticket and 27 hours wait time to fix. My guildies did not and I wasn’t the highest loaner/receiver but the mid level one.

So if you trade money OP, however you do it, provide lots of documentation through chat logs and email as to what and why you are doing it each time you do it so if either of you get a ban you can appeal it. Smaller sums are less likely to trigger it but the amount that triggers a ban is unknown. And no, they don’t apologize when you appeal and get a reversal. >.>

There is one other way, but it requires you to depend on guildies or friends. If someone else has that node in their home instance you can party up with them and go into their home instance with them. You can farm it then once per day per account.

Not a particularly good way to do it, but so it goes.

I’ve been doing key runs for some time now. So far I’ve averaged around one scrap per 5 runs, which would be 1 ticket for 50 runs. But that’s averaging it out. I’ve had long periods of doing runs with no scraps gained. You just had a run of good luck and now Its back to the average.

It doesn’t matter who has the exotic version equipped as you promote it through the mystic forge. The only thing made through crafting is the gift which should be account bound. Leather is the ideal craft to use as it’s so cheap.

Depending on what materials you have in the bank/collection, and whether you plan to make more than one, it may actually be cheaper to craft leather to 500 than use tailor.

I doubt you will get any help here either. Gaile, who is the Liason who posts here, pretty much is the court of last appeal, as I understand her job, but it’s more to review cases one last time and determine there were no errors made. If support said they are unable to send you another birthday booster then there is nothing she can do there. That might be true also of the other boosters you mentioned. Those are gem store items and support may very well not have access to them.

You posted the ticket number. She can look it over but personally I suspect she will be unable to help you.

Actually it’s best not to post back here as that is the same as naming and shaming, which is against the forum rules. Lets say someone did that. They talk to the guildies. The guildies are naturally going to be putting the people they kicked out in a bad light. Whether it is true or not, either way posting it is a very bad idea.

It took me about a year of concentrated effort to get 50/50 and that was with help. I had a guildie doing it with me and another guildie who was kind enough to farm the ectos and shards for my obsidian armor.

Like Belzebu suggests, go for 30/50. Much more attainable. You get all the minis and skins and most of the titles.

The reason why support is having a problem with your request is probably because they can’t delete the account without giving you your money back.

Just make up a new extremely long and random password. Don’t write it down or remember it. Delete your email with account information like the serial number. Then uninstall. Walk away.

You are tying up support’s time and resources which could otherwise be used to help people with real problems as well as costing ANet money.

Why would you want to delete the account? Simply uninstall and walk away. As lordkrall said, maybe you will want to come back after a year or three. Right now you are taking up support’s time and costing ANet money with this request. That’s a poor way to pay them back for a game you enjoyed.

Really, just tell them you don’t need further help. Close out the ticket, uninstall. Walk away. Anything else is just selfish.

If it was transmuted to white, wouldn’t that be why you didn’t get a dialogue box? And maybe that’s why support can’t find it since it no longer truly exists if transmuted and the stats are gone.

Not sure if this will help as the max it will hold is 500 and for most people 250. I myself have over 1000, even after making an exotic back-piece and I’m sure many people have much more.
