From what I’ve read in the forum since launch the answer is they are unable to change anything about your character. They don’t have the tools to go in and do this. Sorry.
I actually prefer the thief for farming. All that stealth to drop agro on annoying mobs. ^^
But a strong second for farming is the ranger. A speed signet, a speed boost on the warhorn and a speed boost on an elite makes them very fast. Good for getting across the map and outrunning mobs. Plus the pet is useful to grab agro on attacking mobs while you farm the node then run off.
I played with character creation a bit. Found out it doesn’t like the name Illusion. This is obviously a bug or mistake of some sort. As others have said, you can contact support and get it straightened out.
You have 5 character slots. Do a all 5 city completions on each. That will get you 90 T-stones. Doing map completions will give you more. If you find yourself running low, delete one of your extra characters you are not using and map the the cities again or map the easiest, delete and repeat.
I leveled 9 characters to 80. Used the T stones freely and never bought a single one.

There was a filter at character creation a year ago. I remember a thread from then, a person who wanted a character with the surname Owlsdottir. It was blocked at character creation because of the letters LSD in the name.
Good question. It must be tripping the “bad word” fillter somehow although I can’t see it. The problem is, the only person who can do anything about it on this forum is Gaile and it’s Saturday. She may not post again on the forums till Monday and she might not respond to this thread. So you can either wait for her to come on and if she responds, for her to find out why and unblock it if that is appropriate or you can make a different name. Why don’t you try, Sign Of Ilusion. See if that one is available/useable.
Look at the very top of this forum also to the stickied red posts. One is OMG if you only knew this-tips for new players. The second is DreamyAbbadon’s post on combat. Both are very useful.
Because it doesn’t start off with a ban from the game. It starts with a 72 hour suspension for the first offense with each succeeding suspension longer and longer until eventually a ban is reached.
I’ve seen numerous posts in the Account Forum from people protesting their suspension for abusive language or profanity. I’ve seen one so far from someone posting for a person who received a ban.
Since people play at different times of the day and may skip days, you could easily miss that someone got a 72 hour suspension. And if they were abusive, were reported and told you that nothing happened to them, remember that people will lie to save face.
I have both a ranger with signet and warhorn and a thief that I’ve used to run through areas to harvest nodes. I’ve noticed the thief is at least as fast if not faster.
I’ve noticed that the warhorn speed skill targets nearby mobs. The ranger will turn toward them while running by and if close enough will strike at them. I suspect the targeting puts the ranger in combat and slows him down even though he is supposed to be getting a speed boost.
I do believe that the OP has confused his personal game economy with GW2’s game economy. No, prices going down on one subset of luxury goods is not a sign of a blow to the game economy.
Contact support. It is my understanding that if you have 2 identical soul bound rings, they will send you the alternate ring with the same stats but with the other infusion slot.

The game was actually first made without hearts. They were added because it was found that people were confused about how to play the game without some sort of structure. The events give you the best experience. You get lesser amounts from the hearts, wps, pois and vistas so the fastest leveling is to do as many events as possible while exploring an area.

Me and two guildies did this, traded 200 gold amongst us through the guild bank to get the Golden title for each of us. I got a ban for gold selling/gold buying and they didn’t. It was resolved by contacting support but it’s still a risk if you do it this way.
If someone does give or loan another person large sums of gold, they should be sure and document what they are doing in chat and possibly with a statement in email to the other person saying exactly what they are doing. They may still get a ban but the chat/email will make their case with support.
I remember an old bug posted on the forums that caused the game to hang at one file left. The way to restart the game was to go to the loading screen. At top right there are flags showing different languages. Click on the French flag. And hit restart. If it’s the same bug, this should fix it.
Then of course, toggle the language back to the correct one after the game has finished loading.

My friend appeal and replied to the support because he is innocent on this incident, if he is botting maybe he will forget that account and buy another and start botting again but that is not an issue he is innocent and not violates any rules so he want his account back..
I’m afraid I don’t understand your statement here. I thought you said he appealed, got the legalese statement and had his account returned.

I’ve seen this statement before on previous threads and I admit it’s a puzzling one. Either someone was botting and deserves a ban or they were not and it was a mistaken ban. I’ve never seen an official statement on why they say this so here are my idle speculations, based on snippets of info from reading the forum since launch.
My guess is that Support is not part of ANet. That it’s a separate company that ANet pays to run their support services. If so, this company would have is own policies and lawyers that handle mistakes. So, this statement would appear to be a piece of legalese imposed by the lawyers to reduce the chance of a lawsuit if that company makes a mistake when banning someone. It’s not an independent statement from the person handling your case but a set statement required by the lawyers when closing a case where someone was falsely banned.
If you can log into the forum then that is the information to log into the game. It’s email and password. You do not use your Display Name (Andy section eight.1062) to log in.
If you transfer, your regular bank and items in your inventory transfer with you but your guild bank and any items or gold in it do not. It remains on that server and will be inaccessible to you, even if you guest there. So before you transfer you need to clean out the guild bank. After you transfer, my understanding is you will need to recreate the guild bank from scratch as all influence and upgrades will be on the old server.

Gw2 terminology is confusing.
Your account name is your email. That’s what they call it. When you log into the game or forum, the first slot says E-mail/Account Name.
The name wrobel.6194 is your Display Name.
This confuses EVERYONE. imo, they should make it simply email and password and change what they call the display name to account name so that wrobel.6194 is the account name.
No, changing the numbers on the display name (DODO.4386) makes it a completely new display name. For reasons of accountability they rarely allow display name changes. If people could change it they could get around others blocking them in game. Or they could scam people then change the display name to avoid punishment. Gold sellers could do it to avoid account termination. For these and other reasons, display name changes are only when the name has personal information or if it breaks TOS.

Therefore your statement about learning it on the right crafting discipline is irrelevant to your case, unless you are expecting the game to magically read your mind and magically assign it to the weapons crafting profession you happen to be thinking of when you learned it.

And how would that help in this case? You said you put it on a weapon crafting profession and it is used by all 3 of the weapon crafting professions. Unless you are trying to argue that the game should somehow know which weapon crafting profession you meant to use it on.
No, this is not one of the types of player mistakes support will help with. You will have to save up to buy another.
They don’t have the tools to remove the used recipe from your other crafting profession. If they were to hand out money or another recipe then there would be people who would buy items, use them, then claim they used them by mistake and ask for money or recipes to replace the ones they used by “accident”. This would give people free money and recipes/items by scamming support so for this reason, support dors not help in these situations.

If your password was changed and your characters were stripped then you got hacked. The error code may be s separate problem.
You need to scan your computer and also check for a keylogger. Once you are sure your computer is clean, then change the password again. If you had a keylogger, change your email password also. Then contact support about an Account Resoration, a rollback to a point before the hack. Top of page-Support, then top of page-Submit a request.
Your Account Name is the email you use when logging on. Your Display Name is the name and number (Romek.4201) that you chose when buying the game.
So what you are actually asking for is the Display Name in chat, not the Account Name (the email). A small point, but I think we can guarantee they never will allow the Account Name to show. ^^
Log in with the same login as this forum and the game. Chose Achievements. Pull up the friends option on that site. That should tell you what server they are on. After that, go back to the character select screen, delete your character. You can then remake a character and select the server they are on as your new home server.
They send these emails out randomly. They don’t actually know whether or not you own the game. I’ve gotten one telling me I need to verify my Blizzard account and I’ve never owned a Blizzard game. The people who don’t have a GW account simply delete these emails and since they can’t post on the forum, you will never hear from them.
Just to make sure, you are using email and password, not Display name (cloud.2876) and password? This is a common error when people try to log in and have troubles.
If you are using email and password and you are sure you are not making a typo in putting the password in, then contact support. Top of page-support, then top of page-submit a request. They will ask for your serial number, put unknown or leave blank depending on the instructions.
Maybe it has to do with the way the game is coded. It seems to be part of the hair and not part of armor or clothing, which makes it so restricted. However, I wish ANet would make it allowable to use colors we discovered at the very least and without using a makeover kit.
At the very very least, an extremely cheap makeover kit which does hair accessories only. Truthfully, it wouldn’t kill them to let us have free accessory redye kits since, imo, this is a fail on their part.
To be honest, your officers didn’t seem to know who each other were if they allowed some random person they didnt know to talk them into promoting someone just because he messaged them with a story.
The permissions had to have been set up sloppy if an officer is allowed to kick a guild leader. An officer should only have permission to admin lower ranks, not equal or above ranks. The guild permissions are there for a reason. If your guildies don’t know who is who, if the permissions are sloppy, then something like this was bound to happen sooner or later.
ANet doesn’t get involved in these sort of situations. You know that person would say, “he gave me that guild and now he regrets it”. How is ANet supposed to sort out conflicting claims of who did what.

I used to click skills before I started playing this game. I bought a mouse with buttons, a Naga, and I use my thumb for all the skills while my left hand uses the QWES keys for movement and strafing. The mouse I use for directional movement, holding down the right click while using QWES. So I run forward using W while steering using the mouse, swinging it around to point it in the direction I wish to go. Strafing is essentially the same. Holding down Q or E while using the mouse for direction.
This setup allows me to quickly hit any skill with just my thumb while continuously running and strafing. The dodge button I put on my mouse scroll button as a click. My index finger naturally rests there and it’s easy to click it without any other movement, my jump key I put on the space bar as my left thumb rests there easily.
I put the F1 thru F4 keys on C, V, B, N as my thumb is close to those and putting them there means I don’t have to take my hand off the movement keys.
Obviously there was a error in the trading post description about the backpack and the mini. What it should have said was, Buy 400 gems to get the backpack and 2000 gems to get Mr Sparkles OR say something bad about us in the forum so that we will tried to bribe you by sending you the backpack.
If only I had known this, I could have saved myself $10. :/

Since they are soul bound at character creation, you can’t transfer from one character to another that’s lacking one. And since they come with character creation, I strongly suspect that support can’t send another set. You can always contact them and ask of course, but my suspicion is you won’t get another set. At this time your best bet is probably to buy town clothes from the gem store.
The reduced falling damage trait is also useful in the Grenth Temple as one of the bosses skills lifts players up in the air and drops them. Having this trait selected can keep you alive if he targets you with this.
That is actually display only. It doesn’t actually become soulbound until it is equipped. It does become account bound.
No, he’s right. Applying any upgrades to an equipment makes it soulbound, even if it is not equiped yet.
Never ever put a sigil or rune before transferring the gear to the right character.
Interesting, looks like they finally made that change in one of the recent patches. Although it probably would have made more sense to make it account bound until equip…
Actually it’s been like this for months at least, if not since the start of the game. I made some rare armor for a friend as a gift about a year ago, put upgrades on it and then couldn’t mail it off as it was then soul bound.
Interesting to note, if I sign in to my second account on the forums using my iPad, the password to my first account is “forgotten” by the game and forums, and thus I have to reset it. It does not happen on any other browser or device. I can sign in and out with no issue using my windows machine. It’s just when I throw this bloody iPad into the mix.
I have password problems with my new iPad with iOS 7.0.2 and logging into the forum. I have to use my old iPad with an old iOS. It’s something to do with Apple products and the newer iOS.
I haven’t seen any forum posts saying there is a problem leaving the login screen on. There is one involving mobile devices and the game, where is you use a mobile device to log into the forum it causes the game to forget your password.
If that’s not it you can try contacting support, or just turn the game off after you play it. ^^
