I’ve seen this reported a couple of times since launch. My guess is its a graphics bug of some sort. Maybe like how last year after the Mad King event was over with you could see candy corn nodes on the mini map but they weren’t actually there.

I’m not sure about the gold detailing, especially the gold star at the bottom as it draws the eyes away from the face and staff. The green, imo is too dark and doesn’t contrast quite enough. Maybe a lighter green? Or maybe tone down the star at the bottom with a darker gold.

I actually do like the gold detailing, it’s just the gold starburst at the bottom is bright and pulls the eyes down to it.

Other than that it’s a cool look. Good job.

It’s not too unusual for people to find darkness, death, vengeance and destruction scary. Maybe you’re comfortable with it, but me, well death and destruction makes me nervous at best. ^^

I doubt I’m going to mess with the tower again if I’ve lost my travel golems. Without the zerg, getting by the champions, especially the champ spider, is way too annoying. And sometimes you want to go to specific floors without going thru the one(s) below.

I just got a whisper from one in WvW today o_O how do they even get our names? The cheater was nowhere around in our zerg, so they must have guessed my name – which begs the next question… did they have my name on their list the entire time and waited till I was online to spam me? Kind of freaky.

Edit: I would support a whisper function where only those you have on your contacts/friends list can, well, contact you.

I suspect they are going to the leaderboards. The account names are there and you can mouse over them to see last time someone got achieve points, which shows active players. If nothing else, they can just go down the leaderboard whispering everyone. They probably have to type in account names, but this way they know account names of people who are likely to be on and haven’t stopped playing.

There were a lot of unhappy collectors who wanted that mini and posted on several threads about it, back then like this one. These were people who collect every mini in the game and couldn’t get this one as it was too exclusive. Making it a reward for buying 4k gems does two things imo. It’s accessible to all the die hard collectors while being expensive enough that only die hard collectors and people who spend above the average amount will get it. This keeps it attainable yet preserves some exclusivity.

Before this you had to travel to a convention and get a code, which only a very few were able to do, or buy it from eBay. The price back then was $700, a bit more than $50.

I’m not seeing a problem with the mini.

That IP is hard to evaluate when we don’t know where it is in relation to you. Same state? Same country? Different country? IPs will be within a range and the area can be pretty large.

It could be a keylogger on his computer or maybe it’s the ‘game forgets password’ bug.

There isn’t a good way to report pet names, guild names, or account names in game. I’ve seen one guy on my server who has an account name that I can’t say on the forum. He has been reported but is still there.

The only thing you can do for these is take a screenshot and make a ticket to support.

If the pet’s owner is in a guild, the guild tags will show up. That will help Support as it narrows down to that guild and which members were at that place at that time.

And your picture in your original post, it’s for people who have both Guild Wars 1 and Guild Wars 2 who wish to link the 2 accounts together. It’s not for access to this game.

It’s because you are still downloading. You have to wait for a full download before you can log in. Sorry. That’s the way the game is set up.

I assume you do have a Guild Wars 1 account to link to? Have to ask because some people who don’t have a Guild Wars 1 account occasionally try to link their Guild Wars 2 account to it.

Yep. If people were using town clothes in WvW for anything besides costume brawl, then they were not using them for their intended purpose but to gain an advantage over people who weren’t using gem store items.

Using gem store items that give you an advantage over others is called Pay To Win and isn’t what this game is based on. You may get a refund OP but once people started using gem store items as an advantage over others, they should have realized ANet would stop this and take it out of that area.

They would then have to charge extra and not everyone wants to change their name when using a TMK or be forced to pay extra for a feature they don’t want.

The only alternative would be to sell another kit with a name change in it. But why do that when they can already be bought separately.

I think I’ve only gotten runes and and sigils from exotics, as well as mats. Or you sure you get these from salvaging? I thought they were crafted only, after buying the recipe.

Krait sounds like a weenie behbeh! Was krait traumatized as a hatchling? Go out and kill, murder, torture, and enslave like any other normal self respecting krait. How do you plan to get a mate if you don’t have a stable of slaves to show off or don’t have a torture club you are a member of, for Wednesday night get togethers to maim and mutilate?

Until and unless you go back to the other krait with some slaves, weeping, wailing, and gnashing their teeth, you will be a failure as a krait.

I’ve done both of those things, Draygo, Astral. In fact, I gave it 5 whole hours. And, once again, I’m using email and password. Also, I have not tied a mobile authenticator to my account, so “tied into using iPads or other tablets” is out of the question already. It’s a right pain, because I don’t really know what it could be.

I’m not talking about a authenticator, but rather some possible bug with iPad’s software. Where people are using an iPad to access the forum and the ‘remember passwords’ software of the iPad is messing up the password on the forum and this causes the login on the game to fail.

It’s not my theory, but something someone else has come up with so I can’t vouch for it. However I’m using an iPad to access the forum and I’m having password problems so it’s maybe a possibility.

When I contacted support they recommended deleting the local dat file and doing a repair.

This did work for me for a few weeks, but now it’s started up again.

Maybe it’s a new password bug. I knew of one, and I have it now, where the game forgets the password even if it is set to auto remember at login. You can’t log into to he forum though till you get a new password.

The one where the game forgets the password may be tied into using iPads or other tablets.

That’s an incorrect reward for that area. I suggest you contact support to report a bug.

Maybe he is miscounting since he is adding the word delete to the name. The space between the name and the word delete would add to the count. Pretty sure the 19 characters is a hard limit to the name length.

They also need a way report display names. I’ve seen one with a male sexual organ as part of the display name. He still has it in spite of people commenting on it in map chat.

I think they are concerned about spreading out the players too much over too many maps. There are numerous complaints already about maps being empty. I suspect also they look at their metrics and see how many go into the mid level zones to to do events now. If those maps have few people now, adding more would have people doing the new content while the old maps empty out. Then the new map would empty out after people have explored it. With more maps the relative few that are doing events would be spread out even more.

Imo, I think ANet made a mistake with individual server maps. I think they should have had one big PvE server with overflows. People could have chosen a server name for WvW but everyone in one mega server for PvE. This would have helped enormously with complaints about empty maps and empty servers.

So I think they are in a difficult position here. Add more maps and have more complaints about empty maps when it’s no longer new, plus the inevitable threads asking ‘Is Guild Wars 2 dying’? Or they don’t release new maps and have people bored with the old ones, which most don’t go into anyway now.

I am new to GW2 and just would like to give some feedback from new players perspective.

Playing as Mesmer( lvl 29), orange events are the ones which I always stay away from if there’s noone around ( in 95% cases on Gunnar’s Hold there’s not). I wish I could do them. I dont know any people, as my friends play other MMO’s and I always enjoyed solo leveling in MMO’s , leaving partying for end-game.

The game is fun, the world to explore seems huge, but very hard group events and super fast respawn timers sometimes make me want to quit. I literally stopped venturing into the caves . Meeting veteran mob= death from ads( not the boss thingy itself) respawning around all the time and nowhere to run.

When ANet says group event, they mean it. It’s not so much that the boss and the surrounding mobs are so very hard, it’s the respawn rate that makes it difficult. You can work your way to the boss and by the time you have gotten his health down some, all his friends are back and it’s easy to get overwhelmed.

The fast respawn rate in group events and general mobs in PvE is an ongoing thing since launch.

It does get easier as you level up, get better armor and get your traits. By the time you are level 80 and fully geared, vets and the surrounding mobs aren’t that hard, even downleveled. You can generally kill them fast enough that the respawn time isn’t that big an issue.

I buy $10 a month in gems, and by doing meta events and occasional magnificent chest runs, I’ve had about 40 exotics drop since launch.

Your idea is unproven by facts OP.

There are several skill challenges like this. You get an inventory item and have to eat or drink it. It’s not CJJ and it’s not CJJ.9861. it’s your email and your password, just like the forum.

He needs to contact support and argue his case with them. Those are the only ones who can do anything, one way or another. No one on the forum can.

If I was level appropriate to Kessex hills, I wouldn’t even go in there now. Way to many red mobs there now, too many that are too strong, too many elites. Too many that bring more to them if you manage to down them. For low level people, it’s like being in Orr before they nerfed it.

If I were your friend Morrigan, I would pass up Kessex right now and do another zone of the same level. Wait till the Living Story has moved out of that area. Then try it when it’s normal difficulty again.

My end game is getting all PvE maps 100 % on all my chars and getting full ascended. As well as getting various titles and achievements. Most people have already got the look they want. They are done with that. Maybe if ANet releases an armor they like, they’ll buy it, but not necessarily.

Not everyone’s endgame is endlessly updating their armor to get the newest or shiniest. Most people are doing WvW, the achieves, dungeons, fractals etc… Not chasing gem store armor skins. For most people it’s irrelevant. How many people do you see wearing gem store armor. It’s not really that high a percent of the game’s population.

There was a recent similar thread. It turned out the transaction didn’t actually go through. The bank put a hold on the money so it looked like it went through, but it really didn’t.
