Probably not. Even if it’s a bug you may still need instructions on what to do to fix it and if it’s not a bug then you will still need support to fix it.
When ANet set cosmetics as a big part of this game, they should have looked closely at other games that also have cosmetics as ‘endgame’ and used that as a basis to build a flexible system for it, not the rigid, limited one they installed. Surely they saw the wardrobe systems of other games. Why didn’t they put a PvE wardrobe system with reusable skins into this game? Why is cosmetics such an afterthought in a game built on cosmetics?
Each of my 8 level 80s is wearing the same armor that was decided upon when they hit 80, no matter how many months ago it was, a year ago in a least 3 cases now. Should I change the one I bought gem store armor for? Not likely. Should I try mixing and matching other armor just for fun? Not likely. The ones I chose so many months ago were the best I could find then and since switching will cost gold to buy the new armor skins and then more gold to rebuy the old set if I want to switch back, this is a big deterrent to playing around with looks.
The town clothes system is also too limited and rigid. Here again, they could have used the flexible Guild Wars 1 system with unlimited use, both for in and out of combat and for all your characters. Here again, they chose a rigid, limited system.
TL:DR: they need to revamp the cosmetic setup for both gear and town clothes and put in a PvE wardrobe, including making town clothes wearable in combat and accessible to all your alts.
I’m having the same issue, I haven’t purchased any Gems however, I’m just trying to buy some. It;s getting kind of annoying but I really want to get an answer on how to get around it.
I’m also having this issue. Any word on an update? I’d like to give you some of my hard-earned money, ANet! :P

If you haven’t already done so, you need to contact support and fill out a ticket. Go to top left of page, support tab, then to top right of page, submit a request.
What the rules say is, the first offense is usually a warning, the second is a usually 72 hours suspension. Each offense after that gets a longer suspension until they are banned.

They won’t tell you the specifics of what they do and you don’t get your items back. They also don’t say what they do about the disputed items but since the scammer may no longer have the gold or items, they may not do anything.
If you want someone to look into chat logs for you, you will need to contact support and make a ticket. Those are the only ones who have access and can help you. No one on the forum can do anything.

The 2nd post had me check my time on my ipad.
I couldn’t figure out why the password was correct but it kept giving me a wrong password error (I actually reset my password) because of this and it still didn’t work.
Then I checked the clock on my ipad where I have the mobile app installed, the time was off by like 1 minute. That one minute difference caused my authenticator code to fail every time I tried to use it on the website or the game client, however it did not notify me that the authenticator code was wrong, just that the password was wrong, that needs to be fixed so the client and website actually needs to informs you that the authentication code failed, because I’m sure I’m not the only one that just happened to have a slight time difference between their computer and their mobile device. How that even happened is beyond me because I set the computer and ipad to sync the time automatically.
Just thought I’d post this out there for people that are getting password errors with their mobile authenticators and might think they’re hacked. This was a huge relief when I set the clock back on the ipad slightly and then tried the codes again and was able to sign in with nothing missing and my characters sitting where I had them last.
This is also a suggestion to anet that they need to change the client and forum login to reflect an invalid authentication code and not just say that the password is invalid."
If the time doesn’t match between what you have the app on and the computer it will cause the codes to fail.

Does anyone besides people just starting out actually convert gems to gold? The exchange rate is so low, level 80s are much better off doing dungeon runs or champ trains if they want to make money. The only ones I can see being tempted are new people who think one gold is a big deal.
I have the same issue here. BLTC have been broken for me for weeks, possibly even months. It’s been so long I can’t remember when it started (or stopped I guess).
I have tried to delete local.dat and GW2 cache. I also tried running the launcher with the -repair and this have also not yielded any results.
Then last night I uninstalled the entire game and installed it from scratch. Finally it worked when I logged in today – success ! However after logging out of the game it is BROKEN AGAIN :-( I only had the game closed for a minute or less before logging in again.I did just submit a bug report – is there another way to open a ticket? I only find links to this forum, a FAQ or bug report when cliking at support ingame.
They recently redid the support system. Use the support tab at top left of page then, submit a request, at top right to make a ticket.
Can I link 2 gw2 accounts without issues?

The problems don’t seem to trigger with items so much as it does with large sums of money. Of you do get banned because of money transfers, you’ll get unbanned after you contact support and prove you own both accounts.
Small sums of money, under 100 gold, are probably no problem.
Just to check, you’re using email and password and not account name (Dydoss.5062) and password? Some people try to use account name and get an error.
I am sorry for your loss. And curious. What difference would it make if the scammer was ‘face-to-face’ with you? I mean, if the method of exchange was the same….whether he is across the zone or standing right in front of you, you would still have trusted enough to send him the gold first, no?
In other MMOs that I have played, the face-to-face trade is a special window. All items to be traded must be in the box and then both can click “accept.” If one of the items is subsequently withdrawn (as in an attempted scam), the “accept” status resets and then both members must again accept. It is a much more scam-proof system than sending by mail. WoW also has a COD option on the mail which allows a person to send an item COD…and the other party cannot take the item until they accept…which automatically deducts gold from them. I don’t see anything in GW2 that works that way…but I have not really explored it.
I’ve played an MMO with this interface. People have still found ways to scam using it.
Guild Wars 1 had player to player trading with several or most of the same features. You both had to accept the trade before it went through and it warned you if the offer was changed. Scamming was still too common, mostly due to people being impatient but it still happened frequently enough to hear about it. And the accusations in chat where one person would be spamming the message, [CHARACTER NAME] IS A SCAMMER, to everyone in the map. The TP has the great benefit of being unscammable. I can’t see how trading person to person is worth the risk of being scammed and the time and cost to Support needed to unravel accusations of scamming.

The Antitoxin Injected indicator is a representation of the amount of antitoxin that has been pumped into the heart of the tower by the heroes of Tyria and will update periodically.
It certainly is a representation, but that says nothing about linearity. :P
Or if those heroes are live people or NPCs.
Or if it’s ANet doing the pumping by remote control. ANet can consider itself a hero of Tyria.
They have to consider the possibility that people might stop doing the antitoxin pumping or not do it enough so the timer maxes before the next patch.

Maybe ask in LA if any commanders or guilds open temples on a schedule and go with them when they do.
You will need to contact support about this. I’ve read they will send you another ring so it’s worth a try.

I don’t have a WoW account.
Next one I get I’m going to save and send it off to the next email telling me someone wants to give me several million dollars if I just send them a few dollars for legal processing fees. Let them sort it out.

He updates the original ticket. It still might not be today that he will hear from them but they don’t respond to duplicate tickets. They just close them out and it slows them down.
Also, they only respond to tickets sent by the account holder. If you sent it, they will only tell you the account holder needs to be the one sending the ticket and close it.

It is against TOS but I seriously doubt they ban for reports of people using others accounts as it is unprovable and the person saying it could be lying, for whatever reason. If two people both claim it and get support involved in an ownership fight then the account could well get closed down for both of them which is one reason multiple account users are against TOS.

Hmmm. I use my iPad to access the forum but I don’t have saved passwords. I type the forum login manually. So far the game has forgotten the password 3 times. I did notice it was always the game first and then the forum would have problems if I logged out of it and then logged back in. I don’t normally log out of the forum but rather let the login expire by itself.
The repair they sent me seems to have worked though. It’s been 6 days since I did a repair on the target line and haven’t had the password problem since then.

I’m not one to judge but is that legal?
It really sounds like a human rights violation to me. I guess if they are consenting adults it’s ok but I think it should be investigated. There are bound to be Health Code violations.

My understanding is there is no hope of getting money or items back. While they do punish scammers, items or money may be long gone and so unretrievable. Since they can’t guarantee you will get items back and because they want to discourage trading outside the Trading Post, their policy is any items sent by email is considered a gift and not returnable.
If you’re having ongoing trouble with buying gems, you can contact support by making a ticket. Support tab at top of page then top right side of page, submit a request.
Fine T stones are 5/200 which is $2.50 USD or 50 cents apiece. The sets of 10 are 45 cents each. Now, a coke costs how much? Or a pizza? How many spend $2.50 on junk or trivial stuff on a daily basis and don’t even consider it. And when you consider you can get it partially or completely for free, it’s hardly something to worry about.

I assume you aren’t actually asking why let guild members cross servers but why don’t guild banks cross servers. My theory, it must be because unlike regular banks, which are tied to your account and can be accessed on any server, the guild banks are not attached to any one account. The guild leader or whoever starts the guild bank doesn’t own it. Since it’s not attached to an account, but to a server, it can’t move with you when you cross servers. It must be the attachment to particular servers that only allows influence to stay in each home server.
If you want to discuss this in detail, you might make a thread in the Discussion Forum where people far more knowledgeable than me can weigh in on it.

Sorry you are having problems but this forum isn’t designed for people to contact support then post. It’s for those who need extra help after going thru support or who have a problem and don’t know what to do.
You contacted support now all you can do is wait for help. If you don’t hear from them after 3 days or if the judgment goes against you and you want to appeal, then you post your ticket number for further attention.
The problem with the tengu was that the beak made them unworkable with the talking heads cutscenes. having them talk without lips to move apparently was not a good thing.
Lips from the gem store will get around this problem.
There was the kite in July and the Dragonbash minis in September. So, looking at the dates, a definite maybe.
Be sure and buy 800 gems with real money. ^^

If he keeps getting back in, could he possibly have hacked your email or is a keylogger? Either would allow him to get each new password you make and get back in.
You need to run a security sweep, check for keyloggers, change your email password and then your account password. That should keep him out for now. You might also want to change your account email to something else.
One time doing anything doesn’t tell you. The people you played against may have been inexperienced, had lag, you had a lucky day, etc…

The new support system was started on Oct 23rd. You can read the imbedded post here. If you made a ticket and haven’t heard from them in 3 days or more you can post your ticket number in this thread for tickets 3 days or older.

It’s the same as a guild bank. One member with privileges who gets hacked and everything can be lost.
So only put in stuff you are willing to lose. My personal guild bank holds excess mats. If I lose them it’s annoying but not end of the world. However If I was going for a Legendary, I wouldn’t put the stacks of T6 mats needed for it in there. Those are too pricy.
You talk to Scornheart, an NPC in Hooligan’s Route in LA. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Scornheart. He “sells” portal stones for zero copper each. This only unlocks the instance. The skins are not available unless you have already earned them.

Yah. Each bank is tied to a server. So your version is tied to yours and his to his. Any influence goes only to the that home servers bank and of course the upgrades also.
If you move (not guest) to his server you will lose what you made with your version and gain his. Also if you move to another server you will lose everything in bank storage unless you take it out first. Items have to move with you in your inventory or your regular bank.

You might try going back inside the Chantry of Secrets, there is a bug related to that spot. Other than that, I guess you have way pointed to each map and checked the map while in there?
Are you based in the same server as your friend? If your home server is different then the banks are different at they are tied to each server.
Several points (mentioned above):
- Guild Bank is tied to the Server World it was built on.
- Guild Banks cannot be accessed while guesting to a server (so transferring and then guesting back will NOT allow you to have access).
- Guild Banks will NOT be restored if an account roll-back happens.
I have heard of other players using the TP Buy Orders as a way to store gold. Place a Buy order for Twilight at 250g and you will loose some gold, but that gold is pretty safe until you cancel the order. Worse case (sans account being compromised and stripped) someone fills the order and you make a tidy profit!
when you say “roll-back” you mean when an account is hacked and anet restore it before the hacking?
Yes, an account restoration, or account rollback, takes the account to a date before the hack. This will give you all or most of your items back. However guild banks are not attached to accounts and can not be rolled back so if someone hacks your account and also steals stuff from your guild bank or personal guild bank, any items or money that were in the that bank are permanently lost.
How about adding the spy kit to the list of things to try. Gives 10 seconds of camouflage, not stealth. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ash_Legion_Spy_Kit Has a 60 sec cooldown though.

I look them over to see if I want to bother with it. If yes, then I join the thundering zerg. If no, then back to my regular activities.
And woe betide you if you are someone who can’t get with the zerg in the first few days. Any stragglers have to deal with mobs set on high. High powered, high respawn and lonely little you standing in the midst of them.
Maybe you can call on guildies, but many people are in large impersonal guilds whose members have already done it and now are off doing WvW. My smaller guild of friends slowly dwindled and died as one by one they stopped playing.

They changed support up and you no longer log in to the Support page. It may say this but the directions are not quite right yet.
Go to top left of page, the support tab, then go to top right, the submit a request tab. Make a ticket from there.
Something showed up and told him to change his email???
Did he maybe get one of those phishing emails from someone trying to steal his account and he gave the account information to them?
Does he still have that email that asked for this? Maybe you can post it, taking out the links first of course in case it is a phishing email.

Looked at the rewards for the meta, nothing I really want. Looked at the rewards for the next achievement chest, nothing I really want. Tried the tower first day, wasn’t all that much fun running thru with the zerg and I don’t care enough about the LS “plot” to worry about missing the instances.
Went back to my usual activities.
I’ve got 10 of these things sitting, hoping for an expansion with new races and professions. Who knows when or if I will ever use even one of these.
Make them sellable. I’m losing hope on the expansion. :/
I wish they would put in more recipes for mystic coins. I’ve got a stack and a partial from doing dailies.
