The only time they restore accounts is when someone is hacked by someone outside their location. If someone accesses your home computer then no, they don’t restore accounts.
An interesting problem. I don’t know I’d Support would prefer to be contacted on a suspicion or not as it is always possible that his account was not hacked and he simply doesn’t wish to speak to you.
Does your husband remember his name? If so can you get his phone number from that? Find a Facebook account and post on that? If that is not possible maybe make out a ticket and report a possible stolen account. This should have happened enough for them to have standard procedures for such a report.

Hmmm. A bit iffy since you undoubtably gave him your account information at some point and if you have IP authorization, you ok’d him logging in on your account on his computer. However you may have a case for a Account Restoration (an account rollback). Only support can tell you for sure.
I do so hope you have changed your password though.
I’m assuming here he logged onto your computer and you had ‘remember account name and remember password’ enabled. In this case, unfortunately, you may have lost everything. They do give account rollbacks if an account is hacked by someone from another computer. If he logged onto your computer and did this then they don’t. Items bought with real money might possibly be restored but that’s all.
It sounds like you are very much better off without him and maybe should consider the loss of your items a price well worth paying to learn this early rather than later.
Yes, you can reuse the character name if you use again within a day. If a character is deleted on your account, the name is reserved to that account for 24 hours. After that it is released and is available for anyone to use.

I really like the idea of toggle-friendly flair, flexible enough to function without swapping out an armor piece.
So do I. However my personal feeling is, with this halo it’s a good as it’s going to get. I don’t believe they will update or improve it in any way. I base this feeling on the numerous complaints about clipping with Charr armor, including the Charr cultural armor made specifically for Charr, never fixed. Numerous posts about how Sylvari armor is too “puffy”, how the armor makes those characters look ridiculously fat. Never fixed. Numerous complaints how shoulder pads float and shoulder pads, gloves and boots are too big for the characters. Never fixed. The Watchknight potion, which like the halo was a LS reward, it can only be used for 5 minutes then has a THIRTY minute cooldown. Numerous complaints, never fixed. Numerous requests for medium and light armor without coats and buttcapes. Never answered and each new armor released has those features.
Now, I would be delighted to be proven wrong but ANet’s history is on my side. It was for that reason that I suggested people ask for helms in the gem store that is halo and horns. They are more likely to do a good job there if money is involved. And maybe, just maybe, they will then bring back the Guild Wars 1 halo because I don’t think it’s going to happen with this one.
I’ve done temple runs where the game suddenly stalled right at the end. I sit and watch the timer go to 1 or 2 seconds left for the temple then DC. No reward for doing that event. It’s also happens at Shatterer. Right at the last few seconds where his health is almost zero, DC.
It occurred to me to wonder who or where the game was bought from. I’ve heard cases where the game was bought from people who were less than honest. If the retailer sold the game to you then got a refund from ANet on the game they bought from them, this will cause the account to be closed and you to receive that message. In this case, they wouldn’t be talking about a refund of yours but the retailer’s refund.
??? How do you know if you’ve lost the star? It’s not like you can see your nameplate to know it’s missing and it’s not likely someone is going to tell you that it’s not there. And to ask someone to look and tell you, you would have to even think this is a possibility. This raises the possibility of numerous people who no longer have the star, don’t know it’s missing and have no reason to think about asking someone else about it to find out its gone.
One of the reasons why it was nice to be able to see your name and title in Guild Wars 1.

You’re making a suggestion that hurts ANet yet you want ANet to implement your suggestion. If you want ANet to do something then it’s pointless to make a suggestion that actively hurts them. Any suggestion has to be at least neutral in its affect for them. Common sense tells you a business, which is what they are, doesn’t willingly do things that hurts them financially.

I doubt it. One guy wanted to use the word Illusionist as part of his name. He was in a Mesmer guild and they all had the the themed name, Illusionist [Display Name]. Even though everyone else in the guild had Illusionist as part of their character name, that word was blocked for some reason and he was unable to use it. To tell you the truth, this isn’t something that should result in a ticket. The Word and Name Filter is set for all four supported languages, and we cover offensive words or letter combinations in many other languages, as they are reported to us. Submitting a ticket to ask why a name isn’t allowed will require time from several agents, and I would like to respectfully ask that you simply try another name and not take agents away from important issues like account access problems, crashing issues, chat violations, or a hacking/compromise incident to discuss why certain letters are not allowed, especially since those discussions can go back and forth for days .
Again, if you simply kindly would choose another name, that would be best. Thank you in advance for understanding.

In many ways, the fun items in Guild Wars 1 were far superior. Many items were better designed, the horns (similar to the thoughtless potion) for example were on your forehead and had smoke fuming off the bases.
In fact the whole cosmetic system was better designed. Costumes were stored by an NPC so they didn’t need to be in inventory, all of your characters could wear the same costume once bought and it could be worn in combat. Potions lasted for an hour and you could wear them in combat.
One of the things a friend and I would do was to both use the same transformation potion and then go out to an area looking identical and in a fun shape. It would be like using Quaggan tonics and being able to go into combat like that. Innocent fun impossible in this game because of the completely unnecessary restrictions this game has on fun items.
Why ANet ditched a fun system to put in and keep a rigid potion/costume system is beyond me. It makes me think they have forgotten how to have frivolous fun.
Yeah I tried using the name Anska Owlsdottir and it gave me the same message… doesn’t really make sense to me. Owls + dottir shouldn’t be banned. My other norn has the last name of Sinasdottir. And it wasn’t the first name that produced the error message cause I tried three different first names. >.<
In your case it’s because it trips the filter for drugs. Owlsdottir has LSD in the name (OwLSDottir).
This is the Guild Wars 1 halo. Not only did it have a golden glow but it had a trail of golden sparks coming off it when you ran (if you look at the halo you can see the edges are smeary because of the constant flow of sparks dripping from it). I was hoping this version would be like it. However I doubt they will change it, no matter how many complain. I base this opinion on the Everlasting Watchknight potion, only good for 5 minutes and then a THIRTY minute cooldown. Totally unreasonable restrictions that was not changed in spite of numerous posts complaining about it,
A helm that is a halo. Not a consumable that lasts for only an hour and only if you don’t waypoint and then has to be reapplied or a costume that can’t be used in combat but a helm for 100% use in combat and not. Modeled on the Guild Wars 1 halo. Gold with sparks coming off it. I would gladly pay 800 gems for this.
This is my understanding of the situation. If he didn’t keep the records of serial number, doesn’t know account name or character names then he can’t contact support and get the account. If he plays the game and knows your account name and character’s names, has the card number used to purchase the account then even if he doesn’t know the serial number he can get the account through contacting support. He can also, for a certain amount of time until refunds are no longer allowed, deactivate the account by getting a refund.
This is assuming he bought the account through ANet. If he bought it elsewhere then probably only if he gets a refund.
One could argue that the gem store prices are already capped, by real world money. The price of 800 gems for real money haven’t changed since the game came out. So what you are actually arguing for is ANet to make it more convenient for people to get gems for free. Since the sale of gems for real money is a substantial part of their profits now and since one of the reasons people buy gems with money is to get gold, then deceasing the amount of gold people get for the sale of gems decreases the amount of gems bought with money. Your suggestion would decrease ANet’s profits.
So why should ANet do what you suggest OP? For this suggestion to be taken seriously by them you would need an argument how it benefits them, not just how it would be nice for the players to get more free stuff.

Can someone please review the design of the Zodiac Light Pants and how it views from the back? I think the armor looks amazing from the front, but when you turn your char around… the behind is just disproportionately massive.
I have attached a screenshot of my human girl (one of the skinniest model) in her rather humorously unflattering skirt. I suggest just a very minor tweak to width of the skirt would be enough. If you try looking at both separately, the difference is quite remarkable.

Going to second that motion here. It’s ok on the skinniest figure you can make, for human and Sylvari (and I mean ok, as in not great but ignorable if you don’t look too close) but on anything else such as a normal figured female char, that char looks obese. My female Norn with a normal not skinny body looks like she gains 200 pounds, all in the butt, when I preview it. It’s really bad and off putting.
The problem is, this thread is a rant thread. It offers no information for Gaile to use to check to see if your claims are correct. All you say is friends were banned for botting, don’t ban me. Not useful.
If you want to make a useful post. Get your friends ticket numbers and post them for Gaile to review in the thread for tickets 3 days older, here . Being of course aware that your friends were likely lying to you when they said they weren’t botting.

Yes a picture shows what appears to be nipples but when looking at the armor I bought ingame, this does not show. It does show on character select but there it loos like a reflection because when you turn the character, the “nipples” move across the breast.
May I suggest you look at an actual armor ingame if you haven’t done so already.
Did you watch the animation? That was from video taken in game, from the Preview window. It also shows up in the preview from the Gem Store. It’s possible that there’s a discrepancy between how it’s rendered in Preview versus how it’s rendered when character actually wear it, either due to lighting, post processing, or other factors – but I don’t actually own a copy of the medium version to wear in game to verify this.
And even if they were rendered differently between Preview and in game, I don’t really see what difference that makes.
When I previewed my armor it was not identical to ingame armor. And the difference between a preview that is not accurate and the actual ingame armor…… Well, may I again suggest you look at actual armor and see if this is something you still see. Basing an argument on an artifact of previewing and pictures may not be the soundest argument of all.

Well, after previewing it several times, I went ahead and bought it for my female Sylvari Mesmer and it’s beautiful.
The blue part to me makes the body look like glowing blue translucent glass. In game it looks nothing like a body suit or naked skin turned blue. I also saw no sign of those much debated nipples.

Another point is how ANet puts in rewards that are counter to the goal of the Living Story patch. In this case, the incentive to farm rubble if you want to buy a potion that gives you a halo or horns (selfless and thoughtless potions). Just one potion requires 250 heirlooms. If you get the 40 per day that’s 6 full invasions and if you don’t get the full 40 a day then it’s more. So that means people who want these are spending invasions running from one rubble pile to another, ignoring the citizens because that will only slow you down and it’s not what you are personally there for. Once people get all their achieves and start looking for the next goal there are likely to be a number of people farming rubble piles.
I’ve heard of a bug where the transmute doesn’t work depending on what side the armor is placed. The picture shows armor on the left side. Maybe try armor first on the right side.
