Did you make a ticket, or just send off emails?

If you made a ticket and haven’t received the initial auto response back, read this thread: Not getting our email.

If you’ve made more than one ticket, close down all but the first. Multiple tickets slow them down and prevent you from getting help in a timely manner.

Well there is one non Trenchcoat for female Sylvari medium, Krytan.

This has been brought up before on several threads. On one of them at least, the answer was given that they decided it would take up to much data space to store all the pet names.

It is not optimal, but to save the names of all of your pets (read: all of everyone’s pets) would require another large name database that ANet did not create. Currently the pet name feature saves the name in the slot, not the pet, so changing out the pet type resets the slot name.
Perhaps someday they will change this, but it is not a bug”.

Well I think what OP is talking about just happened to me.

I was playing on a map that had emptied out (I had gotten the invitation to leave an hour previous) when suddenly I was moved to another map.

The maps do open and close as needed for the population. Presumably if the numbers drop below a certain amount the map closes automatically. No doubt this saves them money. (Shrug).

Edit: got another notification of a low map. On the side, it said I have 59 min until the map closes.

I haven’t been kicked out after refusing to go to another map, even after an hour or more.

Were you DC’d? Went to character select? Forced to go to another map? Your post isn’t clear about what happened.

Or go to WvW instead. It has the benefit of allowing you to return to where you came from as well as having banks, crafting, merchants and the trading post fairly close to each other. And it’s free.

I’ve told a guildie of mine to post on the forum but he won’t so…

He says he is having problems now with the mini pets and being able to play. The game is lagging for him now whenever he goes to a high population map, to the point where he is threatening to quit playing and find another game.

Possibly an option to hide everyone’s mini pets would be a good idea for people without a good connection.

Oh nice. I didn’t know about this vendor. I’ve been running out to the Metrica one when I needed them.

From what I’ve read, they’ve revamped the rewards on these low level vendors and taken out a bunch of stuff. The green beans must be one of them.

This makes me wonder about the lemons in Metrica, also on a low level vendor.

You can buy that skin from a karma vendor. I do not recall specifically, but I bought it on my engineer in one of the areas populated by many asura NPCs some where in a zone outside of rata sum

I’ve only played Guild Wars 1 before this and that’s where I learned to call them toons. If it was controversial in that game I missed it. I was really quite surprised to learn a couple of years ago that anyone even cared about this.

Your basically doing the same thing, buying gold instead of earning it.

Hopefully though ANet won’t hack your account, steal your stuff and use your account to advertise for their gem store after you buy from them.

A small difference true, but it’s the small things that can be important.

Cycle between the maps to look for 3 helm icons, in the southern border. It’s not the top or bottom layer but one of the middle ones (it’s been a while, don’t remember exactly).

I’ve only done 2 runs so far. It takes so long to level. I know there are people on the forum saying they can do the whole map of Caledon in 20 minutes or get to level 10 now in 30 minutes but for me it’s taking between 1.5 and 2 hours to get to level 10.

Key running isn’t worth it with those times.

Using your experience scrolls would be a waste. You can convert them for 50-60 silver. Do you really want to invest 5-6 gold to level to 10 every single key run?

I was kind of planning to use them on my new chars and buy augur’s stones with the skill points. I need those for my ascended crafting anyway.

I was also planning to use them get to level 20, do the two sets of story lines for one key, and then level to 30 for a second key, if they still have it at the level 30 storyline

Since rangers are unable to switch to another pet, even if they get one, for several levels, ANet removed them. For your own good of course.

I don’t PvP but I would be willing to try it. It would depend on how fast it would take to get 8 scrolls. It it takes longer than 1.5 hours then I’d be better off leveling, with some refining of low level mats thrown in or some cooking.

Yes, I plan to use the scrolls I have but there are only so many of them and soon they will be gone.

I would prefer not to craft as that takes either gold or karma. Spending 1 or 2 gold to craft to level 10, just to get a booster and a couple of other items doesn’t strike me as cost effective. I used up all my karma previously (as in less than 20k karma remaining) filling up my wardrobe for the title and buying obby shards for ascended crafting. I need to replenish it before I start using it again, though cooking with all hearts is a possibility.

It’s just that I’ve seen posts saying they get to level 10 by playing the game within a short time and I was hoping for tips on how they did that.

I want to continue key running and would like to get to level 10 by playing the game. I’ve seen people post that they are getting to level 7 in 30 minutes and level 10 in an hour or less. One poster even said he can map all of Caledon in 20 minutes. However it’s taking me considerably longer, about 2 hours, to get to level 10. Any advice on what to do to level quickly would be appreciated.

You can contact support from the top of this page, but since they can’t remove these items from your account you are unlikely to get a refund.

Mine is on a mule where I keep various items. I doubt ANet will do anything with it. It’s just a “flavor” item that you can pull out later and look at if you are ever feeling nostalgic.

Just to be warned, if you account bind the minis and toggle them to display, they don’t show all the time. The game culls them out when the population in a map gets high enough. If that’s important to you, you might want to use them the old way.

Normally they tell you. The lack of a timer is probably a bug.

For many first offenses, the suspension is 72 hours.

ANet sends me a precursor each month to pay me for posting on the forum.

You get a note (aka a hint) about crafting at that level. If you look at the top of that chart you see the headings “unlock” “rewards” “notes”

I crafted to gain some levels at level 4.

Yah. It’s a bug, not an account issue, which is about lost/not working passwords, support tickets, refunds, suspensions, (anything someone needs to contact support about)

It was interesting enough. It was an unfinished landscape though. I made my way about halfway around in a big circle before I couldn’t go any further. There was something off in the distance that looked like a structure but I was unable to get close enough to tell what it was.

I did back shortly after launch. There was a video on how to do it. However I think there is an invisible wall across the opening now.

If I had known about this ahead of time I wouldn’t have account bound my minis. I would have left them in my inventory and used them as I had before. At least I would be able to see them when I wanted.

Who knows, maybe these are the weapons in the achievement chests after you’ve gotten all the Zenith ones.

Ok. I logged into the game to play a bit on my level 6 char and yes, the copper-fed does have a notification that it requires you to be level 15 to use. My Mystic, Basic and Crude salvage kits do not have a level requirement, just the gem store item.

No. I made a new char after the patch and salvaged stuff at level 1 in the starter instance. I was using crude salvage kits though, I didn’t try the copper-fed kit.

I think the level requirement is the level you get a notification in game about salvaging. They removed salvage kits from the low level vendors but if you already have them you can use them.

Rangers can’t switch pets anymore at low levels. They can’t command them or name them. I guess ANet felt there was no reason to give them new pets that they can’t access them in any manner.

And who in the world thought taking away pet commands was a good idea? You can’t tell it to attack something and you can’t tell it to stop attacking something. Have fun in game now being slowed and abandoned by your pet as it constantly runs off to fight things that hit you once while you are passing through an area.

I believe they mean they emailed inside Guild Wars 2. That is, they friended the name they wanted then sent an email to that account. They didn’t send an email from outside the game to the email used to login.

I found trees past the level 6 heart and was able to harvest them at level 5.

I think the level restriction comments come from when you get notified by a hint when you are leveling.

It’s not a bug.

They pushed back a number of things to higher levels with this patch. I’m not sure when you will regain this ability but you will need to level up to it.

You might try making a post in the Players Helping Players forum to ask what level you need to be.

(You might want to edit your post, you said change color of your mini, not your armor/costume)

Happens to me also.

I redye my costume and the toggled mini pet disappears from the slot in the Hero panel.
