I miss the loot corpse option from Morrowind. They need to bring that back.

If you get killed in PvP or WvW, anyone who did enough damage to get loot can take one item off your body, inventory or out of your bank. They see a list of all items on you, in your inventory and in your bank. If it’s an account bound item there is an option to change the binding to them. If no items, they can take gold from you. If no gold, they can remove experience from you. If enough experience is removed you will drop a level.

“Maximum results reached. Try refining search criteria.”

I found this confusing because I looked in that area for more options to refine. The part where I was refining search was the little arrows on the same panel, above. It didn’t occur to me to look on a separate part of the panel, far away from the comment to refine search.

Maybe something like this:
“Maximum results reached. Try refining search criteria. Go to gear icon by search at top left”

Or perhaps under the gear icon have the words, “refine search”.

Add ‘The Aging Factor’. Just like real life.

Your character starts out weak and gets stronger as it levels, so far the same. The difference is, you reach max strength at about level 20. You stay there until about level 50 and then start to decline in strength. At level 80 you are again weak and have to play in the starter zones again.

After your character has leveled 20 more times past level 80, the next time it dies to anything at all, it is permadeath for that character and you need to reroll it.

When it changed previously for the other skins from one ticket to five. I’m pretty sure this happened automatically. That at whatever time on the appointed day (reset maybe) the black lion weapon seller changed from one ticket to five.

That’s the timer I’m referring to. A timer for the computer to keep track of time and do the automatic switch by the BL weapon seller from one ticket to 5 tickets at the end of the 4 weeks. I suspect they forgot to put that in for this set since it was automatic for all the previous sets.

I suspect you got on a map with only a few people also. The ones I’ve seen normally have had lots of people. There really aren’t servers anymore, except for WvW reasons. Now the game has Megaservers.

You can try guesting to get on a different shard of the megaserver. Type /ip in chat to get the server IP number then go to character select and guest. Type /ip again to make sure you are on a different shard. Because of Megaservers it’s quite possible to guest and get the same shard again.

Nowadays if the shard is emptying out it will ask you if you want to move to a more populated shard, and give you the ability to do so.

If this is a guild you’ve had for months and you are getting a message that you need to rep for 3 days before you access the vault and you’ve been repping during this time then it’s a bug.

Some things you might try.
1) make sure you rep for at least 3 days in a row, if you haven’t been doing so.
2) do a client repair. Maybe you have corrupted files.
support-top of page. Then use the search function on that page for client repair.
3) if there is someone you trust, try resetting the start of the rep period. Make the other person a leader of the guild. Leave the guild. Have them reinvite you and make you a leader again with all permissions and they leave the guild. Wait 3 days to see if you are allowed access.
4) if that doesn’t work you can try reporting it as a bug.

I picked up my item from the gemstore but kept in in the mail for different reasons, glad i read this now. I also have the digital deluxe and am familiar with the golem banker you get upon creating the character – two points: timer doesnt start until you first use it as the item is replaced, but it is also soulbound. Thats why I kept it in my mailbox wondering if it will bind it to my character, and thought I will just check later. Can someone clarify this?
Also the icon of this golem is slightly different from the deluxe version one so it is clearly a different item.

The one from today is Account Bound.

While I felt more connected to my Guild Wars 1 chars it was also my first game that wasn’t single player. In addition, it was the one I played for 4 years, as opposed to 2 here.

Time passes. Things are shinier when you are younger. And the phrase “time heals all wounds” applies also. The passage of time helps to cover up the times when you were bored back then and make them less intense than boredom now.

So it needs to be a Master’s or above (Mystic or Black Lion salvage kit)

I know the ones from the digital deluxe don’t start until you double click on it. Those you also get from the mail. Naturally I was expecting that and accepted my mail. I was rather displeased to see the timer start.

If I may take a stab at answering that question….

For the most part, personal bank restorations are limited to once per account, and sometimes twice…

For guild banks, if that limitation were to be imposed, who gets the one-time restoration? The first person in the guild to suffer a compromise? The guild leader only? If it were either of those, what does CS say to anyone subsequently compromised? Sorry, the guild you belong to used up its one-time restoration last year? Or, sorry, you joined the guild too late?

If the CS Team takes the stance of restoring the guild bank each time any member of the guild is compromised, and said guild stored several highly-valued items, then those items would need to be restored over and over and over. And that would affect the game economy in a negative manner.

Thus, it is problematic to restore banks that can be shared by a large amount of players. And, it would not be fair to have one policy for very small guilds that might not experience multiple compromises, and a different policy for very large guilds that would be more prone to multiple compromises.

I think you made a mistake then.

I bought a permanent bank access and it’s a major QoL upgrade. The ability to open up your bank whenever you want, wherever you are, is great. Even if the Golem is only 2 weeks, it’s still extremely useful to access your bank at any time for any reason.

(And it was free)

It’s been talking me a little under an hour to get to level 10. If I have any low level crafting mats to refine (such as jute or green logs) I refine them in WvW after I get out of the starter instance. Then I do the 5 low level hearts in Queensdale. Jump to the garrison and do the heart there, the centaur trap one to the west and the wasp killing one to the east. After that, they start to get time consuming so I go to Lions Arch via PvP and thru the portal to Caledon. In Caledon I do a few low level hearts till I reach level 10.

I’ve seen threads asking if ANet does anything to scammers. While showing official policy helps, this is much more useful.

I’m going to propose a new gem store item. The Vindictive Player Bonus package.

The item upgrades your account to one that can punish the other players who annoy you. You can ding their accounts by
1) silencing them for specified periods of time
2) making them a true unlucky account. Remove all magic find they have and then put it into negative numbers

Say something in map chat that I’m not in the mood for that day. SILENCED! 3 days.
Kill me in WvW. Oops. Bad move. You weren’t getting good drops in WvW anyway you say? How about zero drops? Will a week do? I can make it longer if you like.
Ping your Legendary/precursor in map chat. Silenced and bad drops.
Kick me from your pug group? Tsk tsk. Let me see what I can do for you in return.

The Vindictive Player will have a smoking green aura around him and chat is a deep green color. This gives fair warning, unless he isn’t speaking or in sight and he dings you anyway. (Oh well, you probably deserved it).

Apples are too confusing for new players, so they removed them from the game.

For those who look for “free” apples, I got one from a loot bag from a thief not far from the apple orchard.

And you can get 5 from buying the Chef Starter kit from the Laurel merchant for 3 laurels. But who wants to do that?

One apple from a loot bag isn’t appreciably better. RNG, time spent getting/gold spent buying the loot bags means it’s not reliable enough if you want to get apples for leveling crafting or food for your low level chars.

It says 500 gems for me.

Assuming some people are seeing it for free, I can think of 2 possibilities.
1) a bug
2) if you have the deluxe set, which has a banker golem with each new char, maybe you don’t get a free one from the gem store.

I double clicked on my stuff last night and it worked so it a bug for some people only.

Currently, only double clicking to deposit items that stack functions.

Double clicking to deposit unstackable items is non functioning, broken by a recent patch.

I haven’t tested since the patch that dropped 3 hours ago, but there’s nothing in the notes about this. I’ll assume that double clicking is still very broken. Please address this!

Edit: Just logged in to check – today’s patch did nothing. Double clicking is still not functioning properly.

Ah, you’re right. Those happened to be the ones I was double clicking to move.

One thing that would be nice to know is how does this extra added drop effect the loot table. Is it on top of the other regular drops or does it take the place of another drop? If it takes the place, is it no more than a masterwork item that it replaces.

People obviously worry that it could take the place of an exotics, especially because of its color. Giving out more information about how these types of drop work would be a nice example of communication by the Devs to their players.

The Devs read all the posts about how the Economy is bad and take them to heart.

Waypoints: 1 gold for the closest one. 5 gold for the furtherest.
Repairs costs: Not brought back. If it breaks, it breaks. Buy new armor noob and LTP!
Death penalty taxes: Not how low can you go but how high.
TP taxes: Should 5% appear too small. Be thankful they don’t take it all.

Did you possible ever enter that map through the Brisbane or Kessex hills portals? You could have a some area completion done from there.

Maybe post a screenshot of the full map. Or the areas around those 2 portals.

Well, technically speaking, it doesn’t say they won’t be available after four weeks is up. It just sets a minimum time they will be up.

You might want to edit your post, because it makes no sense the way it is now.

I keep telling players in starting areas now to leave, but they zoom out right away either running or with waypoints. The following event doesn’t always pop fast enough for them to come back.

The item name and description suggests that players should turn into a Sylvan Hound, but in reality its an ordinary wolf.

Your display name is Mahdi and isn’t changeable.
Your account name is your email, which can be changed by contacting Support.

A once a day verification of the trading post, good for 24 hours each time, will really only help those who log in occasionally. If you log in daily then your trading post is pretty much always open to hackers. I don’t see how this will do anything to stop a hacker.

For the daily player: you log in, verify the TP, log out later. A few hours later that day you are hacked. The TP verification is still good so he is able to clean the TP out.

If you want me to judge by your char’s backside, you need to remove the armor so I can see its backside. If you want me to judge by your char’s back side, then I will say the one on the right.

That’s probably about the main way. Put in all the names you can remember in the friend’s list. If get a match, email and ask if they are the same person. If they know each other, the ones you get a hold of might know other names.

Also, were they in an established guild? Is that guild still up in Guild Wars 1? If so, can you ask guild members there about any names? Did they have a webpage for their guild? Did they make a guild with the same name for Guild Wars 2?

Yeah, but you had the OPTION to do way higher level content for added challenge. The update took that away.

Well it just seemed exceptionally specific to single out Chinese bots rather than bots in general. It’s not like you are going to see the bots on the Chinese client to know if they are facerolling or not. And the EU/NA client probably only has EU/NA bots. It sounds very ‘strange’ for you to specify bots of one particular people rather than bots in general.

Mine is remembered. It’s probably a bug.

I like how nowadays everything one says is offensive to someone else.
When I say bots, I mean bots. If I say farmers, then it’s farmers. Although I like to throw metaphors around, calling farmers bots is just confusing at best.
Anyways, if you only need to make a bot that hits 1, wouldn’t that be slightly easier than making a bot that hits 1 and 2? Especially since you don’t need to worry about choosing anything before you hit level 30 or so. But then again, the bot can just stay in queensdale.

Have you actually done it yet? The mobs are now set at level 10 for the first set. While you do have a full weapon skill set at that state, you are fighting multiple mobs at the same level as you. While it’s not particularly difficult if you have appropriate level gear and know what you are doing, it’s not a faceroll, especially for new players doing it for the first time.

Yes, I’ve been doing it. I don’t recall my health ever dipping below 85%. And I was mostly just smashing buttons, haven’t even read the skill descriptions for my engineer yet. Just hit whatever is not under cooldown and stuff dies. It’s not like you’d have to worry about energy or anything.

I was wondering. I read your post and opened the map and looked but couldn’t find the missing heart.

Imo it was harder than the other hearts, especially with the dredge cannons shooting at you. The dredge also can be a harder mob, especially for new people. I guess it was easier to remove that heart than to tone it down.

Maybe, for the ‘What It’s Worth Department’, you should post in the Game Bugs forum. If it’s a bug keeping you out past your suspension timer, maybe that might help to get more attention.

Now getting gathering tools at a lower level is another issue….

Just buy them at the merchant near the bank in the cities.

I was under the impression (from a report on this forum) that before a certain level, you could not buy many things from the NPC vendors (including gathering tools). I have no verified the report.

I had a level 2, fresh out of the tutorial, I was able to buy both a rough salvage kit and harvesting tools. However it’s possibly different for brand new accounts. Maybe they are restricted.
