Congratz. You and your friend have fun in game.

In real life, do you go to a market and when pricing items, insist on buying the most expensive one? After all the people who are selling the cheaper items are undercutting the higher priced ones and this is real life where not buying the more expensive item hurts their bank account directly.

If insisting on buying the more expensive item is more fair in a game it’s even more so in real life and you should always do so.

Interesting. If you ever get an answer about what was going on, be sure and post it. That sort of information can be used to help others with your type of problem.

He did say he got gold rank twice on two separate days, so I’m assuming he’s aware of the chest being 1/day per character.

Some months back I had a character parked in Blazeridge Steppes to do Shatterer only. After a few days I suddenly stopped getting the rewards for the event. From asking around after the 2nd or 3rd time it happened, I found out about DR. I moved the character away, played elsewhere for a while and got the rewards the next time.

From the way he phrased his question it’s possible he is doing something similar.

One possibility, were you using a character that you had parked in that map? If so you hit DR, diminishing returns. If this was it you need to take that character to another map and play there for a while.

If not, it sounds like a bug. Only thing you can do is report it.

Essentially it’s because until you arrive there the game doesn’t know what shard you will be sent to and therefore what waypoints should be contested. If at any one time there is a chance you will be sent to 1 of 5 shards, for example, each with its own set of contested waypoints then it’s easier to have them all contested until you arrive to that one particular shard.

As to contested waypoints appearing open from other maps, even before the megaservers, contested waypoints would sometimes be open as viewed from outside the map. I noticed this in the FG map. I could waypoint from outside to the contested Slough of Despond waypoint.The waypoint was uncontested appearing from outside the map.

Dragon bash returning this year strikes me as being a little problematic. Last year it was the people of Lions Arch celebrating. Now many are dead and the city is in ruins. It would feel strange for them to have it in LA. Maybe Divinities Reach?

You can post his ticket number in the thread tickets for review-3 days and older for Gaile to look at. While he is waiting he can update his ticket to say that he was hacked and it was the hacker that was botting, etc… for them to check it once more.

Whatever the translated meaning is and regardless of what you meant by choosing it, in English is looks like an alternative spelling for male parts. Since the vast majority of people don’t speak or read Latin that is what they will think. The average person is not going to see that name and immediately think, With Disappointing Hope. Support is going to go with what the average person thinks.

Each map has it’s own set of events. Some run by themselves. Some are started by players. If an NPC runs up to you and speaks to you they probably have an event for you. Many NPCs with the option to talk to (rather than just greet) have an event they can give at various times during the day. So look for NPCs that try to flag you down, have orange circles over their heads, orange circles on the map and contested waypoints.

On previous threads the answer has been that support will not help in situations like this. They are not going to go into a guild vault and take out money or items for someone who does not have the permissions for it. They don’t even have that ability. Your only chance is to get a guildie to withdraw it and send it to you. Otherwise it’s gone for good.

If you don’t want to “reward” someone who undercut another person and to buy from the higher priced person, the higher priced person undercut someone else. Who undercut someone who undercut someone who undercut someone……. How far back are you willing to go to find the person who didn’t undercut? Even if you found a group of people who matched prices, the person you buy from is the person who has been there the longest, and who is the person who undercut someone more expensive.

If you were asking if the keys are absolutely necessary, then no. The keys are helpful, but not required as long as you can prove ownership otherwise. It depends on what you were able to answer.

“under special circumstances” = hacked accounts. They offer a one time roll back of hacked accounts to restore deleted characters and items. They don’t have the tools to add character to an account. It’s all or none.

To reset a password in a case like this, the person has to contact support and answer what questions they can. If you can prove ownership they can help you reset the password.

I assume you mean you have two problems and two tickets. On the ticket you want to close out type at the top, I no longer need help, and send it off. If it’s one problem and 2 tickets, you might type something like, I am closing this ticket but keeping ticket number (then the ticket number) active.

For the rollback, you can ask for a particular date by putting that request at the top of the active ticket. I don’t know if they will accept that or not. They might have to do the closest date they have records for.

Make a statement in an email between the accounts about what you are doing if is a substantial amount of money being sent. Otherwise, even if one or both accounts get banned, you can prove ownership by contacting support and get them back. After that it should be on your records.

The forum is for advice and for Gaile to know about tickets that require extra attention.
If you report the people in a separate ticket and they can determine they are breaking TOS then they will be dealt with. They will not inform you of the results of your ticket about them.

If you haven’t already done so you need to do a security scan of your computer, including looking for a keylogger. After that you should change your email password in case they got into that.

Power of the Mists offers the following rewards (per tier):
Artisan: 2-3% increased chance of crafting critical success.
Defender: 1-2% increased defense against monsters.
Energetic: 1-2% endurance regeneration bonus.

This is what I’ve found from farming ori and ancient wood in FG. Normally they respawn at reset each day. The exception is if you mine/chop them within the 6 hour period before reset. In that case it’s reset plus that much time. For example, if you farm 4 hours before reset then it’s reset plus 2 more hours. If you farm 1 hour before reset then it’s reset plus 5 hours.

Every once in a great while they will respawn twice in the same day, probably a bug.

Have you taken each character to the Black Lion Armor trader, standing next to the Trading Post in any major city (not Vigil). Be sure it’s the armor NPC and not the weapon NPC standing near him.

The 400 KB/s speed is the problem. When I installed GW2, I was averaging over 1 MB/s download speed.

I would have been delighted with 400KB/s. I live out in the country at the edge of the connection and on a good day I have 100KB/s, but usually around 50.

It took me ~3 days (over 72 hours) to download the game, running continuously.

It is quite interesting that when something puts the game in positive light it is not a reliable source, but for some reason every time there is something negative it is always 100% true.

Bad data is bad data, whether it casts the game in a good light or a bad one. If the data is bad I see no reason not to point that out. I would have pointed out the same thing if the game had gotten a low or negative rating. Accurate knowledge is best.

The problem is, it doesn’t tell you how they got that information. Such as how many people voted in total (10? 100? 1000?) and who they are (people who have actually played the games or just random people who might have read about them, for example). Since many of the games had no votes I suspect the number of votes is low.
