Craft a full set of ascended weapons for each of your level 80s. That will use up these materials.
External fan blowing on it and using styrofoam pads at the corners to lift it up an inch or two so air circulates better, that’s what I do with my laptop.
I find it humorous that hard wood trees give you Soft Wood Logs and soft wood trees give you Hard Wood Logs.
I also find it humorous that saplings give you Elder Wood Logs.
And that the ancient wood saplings look to me like the dead stumps of mature trees, not saplings.
Restoring my account after a hack?

Your account will get restored, but you wont get any items back they deleted. It happened to 2 friends recently. They got hacked, got their accounts restored a week later, but anet wasnt able to restore their items. All progression lost, they both quit.
If it was the second time they got hacked then no, they won’t get an account restoration. That is only offered once per account. After that people need to be aware of their computer’s security and to make sure they don’t use the same password in different places.
What I wonder is what was going through the minds of the designers of this tonic. Did they actually think that 5 minutes of use and a 30 minute cooldown was a good design? It’s really baffling.
Please, at minimum, change the use to 30 minutes and remove the cooldown. It sits in my storage gathering dust now and I had such high hopes for a cool tonic.

Typically a few days, though it could be less if you are lucky. A friend back in Guild Wars 1 before Guild Wars 2, it took her almost a week to get it restored.
They can also find account names by checking the leaderboards (https://leaderboards.guildwars2.com/en/na/achievements) which have every account name that the game has and the last day they played, showing current active players. They can also check the forums for accounts who post, and are therefore interested in the game.
Avoiding one area won’t stop them from reaching you.
Report. Block. Continue playing.

I think I missed that one, is really a baby cat? or was there a mini that the name gets censored on?
Lol. That made me laugh.
It’s a mini juvenile cat, aka known as a kitten to the world outside the Guild Wars 2 forum.
Can the instance owner of a dungeon or fractals do this? How about if there is a long queue time for WvW?
ever seen all 4 wvw maps fill up? no never, and i am unsympathetic to keeping repair canisters in the game if the only ones who need them r the in 50,000 ppl who start a fractal AND fail miserably at it.
Ever seen all 4 WvW maps fill up?
Actually, yes. For hours at a time.
As to whether or not they are useful, you think no and that’s your opinion. It doesn’t mean other people share it. Obviously others still find them useful, even if they are only the 50,000 people who start fractals AND fail miserably that you have expressed a lack of sympathy (and contempt) for.

thanks a lot for the help guys….by the way mounts are only available on store?
Such as they are, yes.
It was awful on our attempt yesterday. We had done it daily with no problems the last week or so, but yesterday, afk people everywhere. They were still trying to get enough people lined up for the defend spots when Teq arrived. The zerg was spread out over a large area and they promptly died at the start. I couldn’t even find the center of the zerg. Commanders telling people to melee while others were arguing that ranged was fine. Doing melee meant you died because the turrets couldn’t/didn’t protect you.
It was a mess.
A lot of the times in WvW I have trouble finding the bank. I think it has to actually be built in one of your keeps. If your side is doing bad one week you may have no bank. Exiting also takes you to LA (gendaryn or whatever it’s called at the moment) unless you log out to char select screen.
Snip
You go to the one of the crafting places in your own homeland. From there you can access the bank. It’s always there.
If you want to return to where you came from you can pull up the WvW selection panel from the UI. At bottom right is an exit, like the ones for an instance. Or you can go to character select.
Maybe it’s because they don’t want PvE people standing around in PvP by the banks. They want these people to hang out in the cities. Now in the PvP area it’s PvP people or PvEers who are just passing through.
As said above, if you delete all your characters you can transfer for free.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Server
“The transfer fee is only charged if you have characters on your account; in other words, if your account has no characters or you delete all existing characters first, you will be prompted to select a new home world after creating a new character, free of charge.
To transfer to a different world, go to the character selection screen (using F12 or when you first logon) and select the desired world; you will be logged out while the game makes these changes, which might take 5-30 minutes. You can transfer once every seven days at a cost determined by the destination server population and whether or not you have characters".
Maybe a dungeon that gives out tokens that can be used to buy old LS skins.
Also, starting the game may start the 7 day timer so you may have to wait that out. You can try deleting and transferring now but from previous threads I’ve read they had to wait for 7 days from start to go by.

Sounds like you got hacked. Maybe they got interrupted and didn’t have time to finish stripping the account.
First do a security sweep of your computer, including looking for a keylogger. After you are sure your computer is secure then you can contact support at https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new to see about getting an account restoration (a rollback of your account to a time before the hack). Be aware you will only get one of these so if your computer isn’t secure and it happens again, you will not get back anything lost.
Lemongrass Carrot Souffle in an Omnomberry Sauce, with just a hint of dill.
Needs to give you 300% magic find, -100% condition duration on self and plus 400 power for a minute after killing an enemy or I won’t consider making it.
Your girlfriend is the one that needs to be making the tickets, not you. They will only talk to the account holder. She needs to contact them herself. She doesn’t need to log on to contact Support at https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
The one in Fireheart Rise where you were randomly changed in size and speed gave me fits.
OP’s signature: “We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside us”
One monster is rampant entitlement.
No, you won’t get a refund. Either use it as a storage mule or delete and reroll.
Sounds likes a bug. You can report it in game with all relevant information or post it in the Game Bugs forum. Reporting it in game is best.
As above mentioned, for general PvE it’s great. People are doing events and there is active map chat. It’s like the game was at the start when people were still crowded into the starter zones.
However for guild missions, getting into the same map as people on your friend list or guild, temple events (which are hard to get as the temples are continuously defended) and boss meta events which are huge computer crashing zergs; these all have problems that need to be addressed.
I think defense events probably need to have some cool events that only pop when you are in a positive condition. The elementals are a nice touch, but events is the meat of the game.
Also the traits that need defense need to be able to be completed in some way even if the mpa is winning. AKA every defense event needs to give you the oppurtunity to get the trait
I read one suggestion for the defense events, where each succeeding event scales in difficulty until eventually it fails and the temple event starts. This allows people to repeatedly do the defense events and the people who want to do the temples also to get their chance.
From my experience, you get more dark matter from the BLSK than the mystic salvage kits. I was using mystic and when I switched to BLSKs there was a noticeable increase in frequency of getting dark matter.

I wish they would make an athenticator that was not linked to a cell phone as i do not use one. I would gladly buy one in a heart beat. Yeah i was hacked yesterday(Friday) i really like this game and want to play but not much point till i get an account roll back, my poor toons that are 80 are wearing their underwear
There is the IP authorization where you have to ok an IP before that location can access the game. You can set it to remember the ones you authorize so you only have to do it a few times. Any IP that you don’t ok can’t access the account, even if they know the login information. The IP authorization goes to your email.
True. But it’s for malicious reports where people are falsely reporting someone as a way to intimidate them or to get someone they dislike banned. Not where the person believes that the report is true. In this case the guy is making the report with the belief he is correct and the TOS is vague enough that ANet will agree the report is not malicious, just mistaken.

You can earn all the achievements for all the crafts, delete every single character you used to do this, and still keep the achievements, so that’s not an issue.
Good point.
There is still the consideration of whether they want people to get to 80 by repeatedly maxing the same profession. If they don’t, the time and trouble it would take to redo it so that you can max one profession on several different chars but not repeatedly on one char. As well as taking the time to do OP’s suggestion when very few people care about it and it’s not causing problems in the game.
Stolen accounts get one Account Rollback to a point shortly before the hack. You will get back everything you had that was in your account on that day. If you get hacked again, your account can be retrieved but you will not get another Rollback.
Other than being male, I’m not seeing how these 2 guys resemble each other. Braum is a stereotypical burly half dressed barbarian type. His appearance is typical of that type of fantasy trope. There are very few ways to portray male barbarian types and both Braum and Braham fit. Of course there is going to be overlap. Other than they both fit into that fantasy category, how do they look similar?
Not age.
Not the face.
Not the hair.
Not the tattoos.
Not the facial hair.
What exactly? They are both male and their names sound similar?

Crafted armor is pretty basic, that is there are no particle effect. You are probably looking at dungeon armor for the flames (Citadel of Flame). There are a couple of bright helms I can think of. One is from achievements and there is another from a past living story.
From comments on the forum I gather they are swamped right now. You might have to wait longer than is usual.
Orders a pepperoni pizza.
Convince me I want to eat this pepperoni pizza. Why would I spend any amount of time of my day eating this pepperoni pizza?
In this case, the OP has bought the game over 15 months ago, has been playing and also posting regularly in the forum as can be told by checking his posting history.
In other words, he is not completely sincere and honest in his request for advice. A word comes to mind that rhymes with droll.
(And as for you, if that pizza is over 15 months old then no, you don’t eat it).

It may share the same skin as the PvP Valley Harpoon. There may be a bug attached to this name/skin as discussed in this thread from 6 months ago.
Ignore it. He doesn’t need to do anything at all.
Next time he can ping the gear so they can see the rune.
Well, good luck with it and I can understand bring impatient and wanting results. However support doesn’t read the forums and Gaile Gray who does has expressly asked for people not to make a ticket and then make a thread. She mostly gets involved with tickets over 3 days old and tickets that require special attention after support has worked on them.
They ask that you not make a ticket and then make a thread. The people who work in support don’t read the forums, they are at work reading tickets. They also ask you to give them enough time to work on it, up to 3 days, before posting.
A person can report all they want, if it doesn’t break TOS then ANet won’t do anything.
It’s Saturday and Gaile, who works in this area, is probably off till Monday. You might be able to get the official word from her then. She doesn’t post on every thread and this one might be buried by then though so you might update it Monday afternoon as it’s a good point and worth knowing the specifics for sure.
It’s set up so you can level and get achievements by crafting. Originally it was 10 levels each and you could get to level 80 by maxing each one. What happens if you level one to max and then delete it? Can you then choose and get it to max again? Would you get those levels again? Could someone, for example, get to level 80 by repeatedly maxing out a profession then deleting it? What happens to the achievement for a profession an account no longer has?
There is more to it than deleting a profession. There are the achieve points and levels that go with each one. It’s much simpler for the game to have the person simply set an unwanted profession aside.
They are talking about real money transactions there. ANet has said in the past that they consider items and gold sent by email, player to player, as sending gifts to each other and they don’t intervene unless there is scamming involved.
So you gifting a gem store item and the other person sending 10 gold are mutually sending gifts to each other.
Anyway, what does this thread have to do with the Black Lion Trading post? Shouldn’t OP have put it in the PvP section or maybe general discussion?
It also disproportionately rewards people who prefer PvP and not PvE. It would only be fair if there was a PvE way to get these old Meta achievements. Some people hate PvP and it would force them into it as the only way to get past skins.
Just like it forced every pvp player into pve to get those skins when they came out.
As long as it has a way to get these past rewards in PvE. Then it will be fair.

I really don’t know what to say about that picture but it might not have been your best choice. :P
Dude, this is exactly how the game is supposed to be. Nodes are supposed to be random, if you’ve ever played a game like Runescape you would know how ultimately damaging it is to have the same locations for all the nodes.
The more random the better. I enjoy searching maps for nodes and killing enemies along the way.
Where is your red tag to show you’re a dev? I mean since you obviously know all about what’s intended in the game you must be a dev, right? I don’t think so.
This change is horrible for those of us who liked to harvest multiple nodes on multiple characters. It was (and to a point still is) a way to make money that in most respects is much better than playing the trading post as when we’re out gathering we’re out in the zone helping others, completing events and actually playing the game unlike the trading post flippers.
It’s still playing the game with the goal of lining your character’s pockets. It’s what many people do and it’s what creates inflation making the game less enjoyable by those whose focus of play is on many things other than gold/hour. It does so by making things in the game less affordable by those same people. It forces them to follow suit just for affordability sake.
It’s us farmers keeping supply high and prices low so that non farmers don’t have to pay as much for the mats they need and non farmers get to keep more money in their pockets.
Mining and logging doesn’t create gold and doesn’t cause inflation.
Lol as if Anet couldnt just release millions of whatever mat they wanted to decrease in price into the TP or vice versa buy up whatever mat. Anyway, gold per hour is fun for me – its about optimization / problem solving in a game that has very little content updated. And no I dont try to manupliate the TP (don’t have the capital to do so anyway)
Are you actually thinking that ANet is going to whip up millions of mats out of thin air or set up some sort of computer program to buy excess mats just to adjust the prices on the TP? (Silk prices in the past before ascended crafting ring a bell to you?) I think you don’t understand ANet’s policy toward the TP if you believe that.
Guess why so much silk is needed for Ascended gear.
ANet can increase the drop rate for things that are low in supply and high in cost.
ANet can generate new crafting/mystic forge recipes for things that are high in supply and low in cost.
~~~
They won’t magically make mats appear or disappear, but do have means to influence price and supply.
The guy I was responding to was saying that ANet will make mats appear out of thin air and sell them on the trading post, or that they will make money appear out of thin air and that ANet will then buy mats from the trading post from players. I wasn’t arguing that they don’t influence supply by other ways. Obviously they have in the past influenced supply by changing crafting and with magic find, the drop rates.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
You might wait till they have a character slot sale and buy one then, or just buy one full price. You can then make and delete characters to get the starter items and after that park it at a jumping puzzle and use it for a daily chest opening as well as storage. 20 slots starter and four 15 slot bags will give you 80 extra slots.
To move items in and out of inventory you can go to WvW to a crafting table to access your bank. When you leave WvW you will be back at the chest.
