For personal use, you can make your own notes on where the nodes are and label this with the IP which you can get from chat using /IP.
I was farming FG today on my level 80s. Using /IP I found there were 3 shards I was being sent to. After I found the nodes on each shard, when I mapped in I could use /IP to see which I was on and use those notes.
If the shards remain the same from one day to the next that will help.
Sure you can make notes, but there is no garantee that the next time you Enter or Load into that zone it will be the same map with those noted nodes (even if you load a character you LEFT in that zone).
I has become nearly a pointless effort (especially if it is a popular zone like Frostgorge).
Only real way to help is call out nodes as you find them in Map Chat.
I’m going to check today to see if it’s the same set of of 3 or 4 maps or not. If it is the same set then keeping notes for each IP is better then nothing.

It seems to depend on the account. Some accounts lose offline party members and some don’t.
If the ticket is over 3 days old and you want a review by Gaile you need to post the ticket number in the stickied thread above, Tickets for Review-3 days and older.
You know, you could have just made a typo when putting in your password. You didn’t say that you tried it more than once before changing it. A typo would give you that warning and considering that you haven’t seen any indications of a hack, it’s a distinct possibility.

A large number of the tickets that we receive reveal that folks typo a lot. They may think they are typing the password on the account, but they’re off by a letter or number, or they forgot that they used a capital letter instead of lowercase.

Their reason behind their 1 rollback policy is due to the over inflation of the economy (which I can understand). There is a very easy way to combat this though, hard gold sinks. Ones that will have little effect to 98% of the players, and only to the gold sellers or those whom buy the gold seller’s gold
One other concern I thought of is, how safe is our credit card info on Anet’s servers (if it’s there) if we’ve purchased gems? Looking at old threads I see that Anet does in fact store credit card information (not sure if this is still the case). How exactly safe is it really? If hackers can obtain our e-mails off their server, whats to say they can’t get a hold of our credit card info. Best be safe to watch that too.

I’ve already changed password for gw2 and email, already installed an authenticator, the number of account hacked as been increased rapidely in the last months, for somenthing wrong or some security issue there are no other explanation so far i guess, im not blaming anet for the hacking im tryng to evidence the problem that nowdays is much more in evidence

You are guaranteed a first response within 24 hours. Since your account was hacked today, you are still in the time window and are waiting behind everyove else who send in a ticket (including tickets like the guy who wanted an ecto refund after salvaging one by accident).
If you haven’t already done so you need to check the security of your computer, including looking for a keylogger. After that it’s a very good idea to change your email password in case they hacked that and now have access to personal, private information.
I’m not sure what the question was? everything you said appears correct.
However, because there are no crafting stations in the vigil keep, I would not call it a common meeting area, despite it actually being a hub to all the major cities and wvw and stuff. Metrica basement, for example, has a far higher player count than vigil keep.

It’s actually a fairly common misunderstanding. If they would just rename the place for the login, email, instead of calling it account name (which everyone confuses with Display name) I think they would get rid of most of it.
Just had my account hacked this morning, got booted from the game about 5 times saying someone was attempting to log in to it. Submitted a ticket thru the support page about it all ready.
Unfortunately ANet gives the hackers half our log in information if they get in a group or guild with us. So it makes it really easy to get the rest of the info with the right programs. Just mouse over someones name in a group and it tells you the account name, really sad for a company that says they have a kitten for security.
This information is incorrect.
The account name is your email. The login for the game is exactly like the login for the forum, email and password. The display name (Gloombrow.4736) which is what you see when you mouse over the name, is not any part of your login information.

From what I’ve read, many people don’t use an email and password that is restricted to Guild Wars 2 alone. They use the same email and the same password for more than one site, including not secure sites. Once they do that, computers or viruses can harvest their login information. This information is then sold to interested parties. Gold sellers can run these through for the games they are in to see if they match. Once they match, they can try to get in. No ANet security breach needed.

One thing that Gaile has said is that they are banning a lot of gold sellers, iirc she said 1000s of accounts. In response these people are taking over accounts that they hacked in the past but left untouched for later use. So there may be an apparent increase in hacked accounts but many of these accounts were previously hacked and only now have been taken over.
Ouch.
You can update your ticket to tell them this and have them restore you to the correct date. Even if you don’t want another restore you should update your ticket to let them know they did it wrong.
I’ve never seen any statement about the time between the email and the restoration. I wouldn’t think it would be longer than a couple of hours. Surely not longer than a day.
Give them a bit longer, I guess a day. If not by then update the ticket.

Oblivious that it was even an issue, huh? Yeah, it’s often those with the least information who think themselves most qualified to answer.
There was already another long thread about the problem. Apparently many people didn’t get laurels in April. That thread disappeared. Has the issue been resolved… with or without a solution? If there’s no programmable solution then please answer the tickets. Simply ignoring them is sort of disrespectful.

If it’s been several weeks your ticket was probably closed from inactivity. If you still have the original, you should update it to restart it. If you don’t have it, go ahead and make a new ticket.
Every ticket gets a first automated response within 24 hours. It used to be 3 days to resolve most issues but I gather they are swamped so it may be a bit longer. But it will surely be before several weeks go by. ^^ good luck.

The first thing you need to do is make sure your computer is secure. Run a security sweep and check for keyloggers. Change the password on your email after the check in case your email was compromised. After you are sure your computer is clean you can contact support at https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new You can ask for an account rollback to a date before the hack to get your stuff back.
It’s important that your account be secure before the rollback. You will only get this the one time and if it happens again you will lose everything permanently. Good luck.
In the last they have given refunds for items bought right before a sale, such as a day or so before. Since you bought your mini months before and have had the use and enjoyment of it all this time, you don’t qualify under these terms.
And as Lilith Ajit said, you essentially will get the second one for free so you aren’t losing money on it by buying the set.

These are items you get in the email you are talking about? If so, the email only holds 10 messages and then it’s full. Try deleting old emails and see if the items show up.
^ Way too easy to get around. Sending expensive mats, exotics, precursors, etc… by email is possible if gold is not.
To get to the Vigil, where people are nowadays a couple of options,
1) it’s in Gendarren field. Top right hand corner at the big fort there.
If you dont have that waypoint
2) go to your homeland in WvW and go thru what is labeled the Lions Arch portal. It’s by the trading post.
3) go to PvP and go through the portal there labeled Lions Arch.
The Lions Arch portals will take you to the Vigil.

Can the instance owner of a dungeon or fractals do this? How about if there is a long queue time for WvW?
Actually the instance owner can leave fotm at any time and repair without going to wvw same for dungeons. The instance only gets destroyed if you switch characters or leave party.
Good to know. I’m never the instance owner because my connection has a tendency to kick me to character select at inopportune times and I don’t want to mess everyone else up, so I don’t know the details on it.
Because of how long and stretched out the Charr head is as compared to the other races? It has to be large so that the muzzle doesn’t stick out the front. They can’t elongate it because it’s a circular helm so it has to be made large to encompass the whole head.
A question would be, how much extra programming would it take to fix this? Would it require for Charr to have their own costume? Would it require programming for the helm to remove the Charr’s head underneath? Maybe someone with programming knowledge can comment on this.
Or just consider it as part of its charm. (And yes I have a Charr and that costume).

Researching it, I was unable to find a direct answer. But I did find an indirect one.

if you own both a gw1 and a gw2 account and if the two accounts are tied together they share the same gw2 email and password, I’m going to say that Guild Wars 2 has a max of 100 characters also, since it it would seem logical that it has to fit within the Guild Wars 1 limitations.
Of course it could be less than 100. The one thread I saw with Gaile responding to this question, she never came back with an answer.

Deleting crafts rather than simply swapping them should be an option.
Yeah .. that would be a nice way to craft from 1-80 just with cooking .. craft to 400 .. delete .. craft to 400 .. delete .. and so on
Using all hearts you can get to level 400 for less than 2 gold. At 7 levels each you could repeatedly max out and delete cooking and get to level 80 in one play period for about 22 gold. Not bad.

I don’t see why they don’t have that quest every year. There are new people continuously buying the game as well as people from the start who deleted the books. (No comment about whether I have all mine, purely disinterested, of course). Guild Wars 1 had the same quests every holiday. It was fun and looked forward to.
