The Texas one is probably just the site where the servers are located. That shows up sometimes.
However, have you done a full security sweep of your computer? Checked for a keylogger? If your computer is clean then change the password on your email. Then change the password to your game. It wouldn’t hurt after that to get a new email and switch the games email to that. 'Cinderfang' breaking name policy?
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Astral Projections.7320
Sometimes the game naming censor picks up letter combinations. For example, someone wanted to give her Norn the last name of Owlsdottir but this was disallowed by the games naming censor because it has the letters LSD in it (Ow lsd ottir). Cinderfang itself seems be perfectly alright, it’s probably just tripping a new version of the censor since you named your ranger.
Any name that is offensive enough to be reported by a payer does not get someone banned. The first offense is a forced renaming. If a person persists in choosing offensive names then they will get a 3 day suspension and a forced renaming.
Support does not go out looking for names, they go by names reported as offensive. And even then they have to agree its offensive. So I doubt you have anything to worry about.
Had one drop a week or two back from a hyena in Brisbane so they do, but it’s an extremely rare drop.

Or how about the boss timers have more than one boss at a time so that EVERYONE isn’t trying to do this one boss right then. Spreading out the zerg across 3 or 4 bosses would take care of a lot of the complaints.
And the ascended level, Illustrious.
Great points!
I think that the illogical tag is going to be used with almost every post now though
(Which is illogical for reasons already explained)
Somehow I don’t think OP will see the justice of it if he writes another “rebuttal” and the only answers are response posts of
“ILLOGICAL. This is completely false and incorrect, for reasons I’ve already explained.”
If you don’t see the sigil on your regular weapons then check the underwater ones. Those, unfortunately, are easy to forget about.
…… and you can’t stack several partially used ones to make one with all the charges……
I have often thought that would be an awesome change to the game…..not sure why it’s not possible since all other consumables CAN stack like this.
It is a shame you can’t stack them, but it does give Mystic Salvage kit most of its value since there isn’t a cheaper (I think?) alternative of stacking 10 master salvage kits.
As long as you got the mystic forge stones for free the mystic salvage kit is cheaper than just buying masters kits anyway.
In addition you can get the fine salvage kits with karma from the T3 cultural weapon trader in Black Citadel (near the front of the trading post), meaning you only need to buy the 2 other salvage kits.
…other than misusing the word “illogical”, in a rather ironic way (thus creating endless yet annoying entertainment…..thus my theory he just might be trolling this along in a masterful way).
“ILLOGICAL. This is completely false and incorrect, for reasons I’ve already explained.”
Hmmm. This might be my new signature. It has a certain flair and charm to it.
If 2 players want to do a trade with each other, it doesn’t necessarily mean they are or aren’t trying to scam each other. There are 2 possibilities.
1. Both of them want to scam the other.
2. One of them wants to scam the other.
3. Neither of them are trying to scam each other. They just want to do a simple trade.Either way, they don’t know the intention of the other player.
…….Ok….one last time (for the difficult to understand).
1) & 2) can’t happen with the TP.
3) is not necessary with the TP.
Their intentions are meaningless on the TP (meaning nobody has to worry about them).AGAIN, this discussion is pointless.
I think the problem is, is that the OP is basing his argument on emotional reasons why someone wants to trade and people are arguing against it based on logic. This causes a disconnect because the two sides are not discussing the same things.
(crimlet-snipped lines from posts)
“But if players actually want to trade with each other then any idea of WTS is not a valid reason for stopping them from being able to do that.”
“Even if the effect were remotely significant, it’s not as worthwhile as actually being able to trade between players.”
“Just because you can’t imagine a situation where players would want to trade individually with any player in the game doesn’t mean that situation doesn’t exist.”
“No imaginary benefit to any sort of economy is worth not having a major important feature of a game economy.”
If I’m right, then all the arguments will continue to be circular. He is not impressed by a logical argument against it since his argument for it is based on how he feels about trading.

First, i dont blame pve pmayers for this, i really dont and it would be idiotic if i did. And second, the armor from wvw badges wasnt salvageable before the achievement chests.
Well, your thread is badly titled (To all PvE-players) Then after directing your comments to PvE players you say, Give wvw-players some love alright? Implying that you are asking the PvE players to fix it.
Maybe next time put more thought into the title and post to be more clear about what the issue is and how to fix it.
Frankly, I am even wondering why this thread is not in the “Black Lion Trade Post” forum, or even in “General Discussion”. The “Players Helping Players” forum is just about the last place to choose in order to post a suggestion to the game developers. After all, it is mostly frequented by helpful players who are friendly enough to point out potential flaws in such suggestions/opinions.
I’m wondering why it isn’t in the “Trashcan” forum.
“ILLOGICAL. This is completely false and incorrect, for reasons I’ve already explained.”
Lol.
(Sorry, couldn’t resist)
Imo, it matters which kit you use to salvage. I was using the mystic kit and wasn’t getting very much dark matter. I switched to a Black Lion Salvage kit and saw a noticeable increase. Never seen any hard numbers on this but seen several threads saying they have gotten better rates with the BLSK.
One thing that consistently happened was I would walk past an area and because there were so many players in the zone at the time the heart-quest would be completed before I even got there.
What I bet is happening here is that he forgot he did these hearts. He’s coming across hearts he completed or partially completed the last time he played. He is now running up to these completed and partially completed hearts and think that other people have filled them in.
OP, If you don’t finish a heart before you leave the area the progress is saved until you get back. So now, even though you haven’t played in a while the game still remembers your progress on each heart.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Inculpatus is correct. You and only you fill up a heart. No one else can do it for you. You must be thinking of events in some way. Maybe a bunch of people were doing an event near a heart you were working on and you thought they were helping to fill the heart.
^ I agree.
However there are FEW reasons to open trade with another player. I’ve done it a few times with my guildies, but thats about it. Having a secure channel to do that would be redundant and useless. And there is the FACT that there WILL be scammers. In one way or another. And even though it may not be against the ToS, there will still be tickets by those players who have been scammed. And ANET will have to go through and investigate each one, as they crop up. Resulting in a much larger work load, sifting through legit claims, and not. Which of course is an increase of moeny spent on ANETs part. It’s just not worth it.
This is incorrect. Scamming is far easier through mail system. Trade interface reduces scamming, and therefore less reports. Therefore, less developer workload. I’ve already explained this.
True. While a trade interface will REDUCE scamming and reports, it does create the possibility of scamming. As it is now, the TP completely eliminates scamming. So adding a player to player trade function brings the chances for scamming UP from 0%, to say 5% or higher. Any player to player interaction has the possibility of being exploited and used for malicious purposes. Even the chat, with gold sellers, griefing, spamming, etc. There is no way to make player to player trading 100% secure and safe. If player A has an item player B wants, and Player B has what A wants. Both should sell their respective items on the TP, and then with the money gained from the sale, buy the item they want. 100% safe, secure, and no one risks getting scammed in some way.
And before you cry incorrect or illogical, show a way that the TP is NOT 100% secure, and how a trading interface can be implemented and utilized in such a way that CANNOT be exploited, ever.
People have already tried this with him. His argument will be that the email trading system is way too scammable and a player to player system will be more secure.
What he fails to understand is that there will be a net increase in scams even with a more secure system as a higher percentage of players will use it, thinking that it’s secure because it’s specifically designed for trading.
He doesn’t understand that a lower failure rate together with a higher rate of use means more scams, not less.
Any attempt to explain this to him results in him saying illogical and ignoring the point.
The pristine toxic spores can till be gathered from seedlings in a large number of maps, not just available from events. Check http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Toxic_Seedling for a list of maps and specific areas within the maps. I know I’ve seen them in Kessex Hills and harvested them.
Hmm, you’re going to get fused with that Ranger pet and turned into a Thundercat by the looks of it.
Chances are and knowing how the MToilet works, he will come back as a mouse.
And go in as level 80 and come out as level 79.
Another possibility is to go the opposite direction. Not a set that matches your armor but a set that is a counter to it. For example, the corrupted weapons. This has the advantage of standing out and being more noticeable rather than blending in.
this thread same page on this forum and this thread also on this page. Both cover most of the same ground, the first one especially.
Remember guys, flush afterwards and leave the lid down.
The email is part of the login, it’s the account name.. Get another email if that is holding you up now.
I finished getting chef to max a loonnnggg time ago. I still have a full bank panel full of miscellaneous chef stuff that I might one day need. I guess I could stick them in my personal guild bank, where I will promptly forget about them and never use.
Now about them blade shards, which I still have stacks of…..
They didn’t have to add this feature at all you know. It could have been only buy items from the store with real money and no gems at all. No buying items with gold. Cold, hard cash for each and every single purchase. Guild Wars 1 had a store. No gems. Cash only. You want it, open up your wallet.
In fact, I think they would have been better not putting gems for gold in. People seem to get so entitled/outraged about it. Gems cost too much! People can buy gold with gems!
It never seems to be, oh good. I can get stuff for free (as no real world money) if I pay with gold.
No it’s
1- legs, arms, the section of the coat from the hips down, part of shoes
2- shoulders, straps on arms, straps on front of chest, straps hanging down from coat, part of shoes.
3- vest, inner layer of coat as seen from the front, part of shoes, some design on the back of coat.
4- accent marks/buttons/accent straps. (On coat, arms, straps and vest, shoes)
Then you have to make a totally separate account with its own display name (not Resurrected.4132), characters, achievements, etc and login. It’s not possible to do what you are trying to do.
Edit:
I think you (or anyone else) can use the display name Resurrected if you want but it will have a different string of numbers behind it and won’t be connected to the first account. Not positive about this part, I seem to remember them saying it way back when I bought the game, that the numbers are there to separate Resurrected.4132 from Resurrected.2314 (for example).
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Getting one from a drop is closer to the odds of being hit by lightning on a sunny day, possible but not something to base your planning on.
The mystic forge chances are so variable, it can literally be from only one forging to essentially never. This means you can’t decide ahead of time how much money to save, other than “a lot”. The most straight forward method is grinding gold and buying it, however you are then chasing an item with a constantly rising cost.
TL:DR every method is bad.
And what do you expect the other forum posters to do? They can’t change the rules for you and ANet has failed to find you special enough to do so either.
You will just have to wait, like everyone else.
This is against the rules of conduct and would be considered leaching.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/legal/guild-wars-2-rules-of-conduct/
While participating in Plaver-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. This also includes disrupting other people’s game experience by not actively participating in matches in good faith, a.k.a leeching.
As to where to report it, for some obscure reason they don’t have a proper ingame report system for this, unless they have leaching as an option in PvP?
I guess, go to support at the top of the UI then fill out a ticket with the time, date, character names etc.. and attach the screenshot. Or do it from here https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Did you make a second account with its own display name (name.xxxx) or try to link it to Resurrected.4132? Pretty sure each edition with its own serial code is a separate account with its own display name.
You can upgrade old accounts, turn them into heroic edition from a basic edition. Is that what you are trying to do?
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
Yep, it’s there so people can grind for “better stats” if they want to but not so much better that people get on the forum and complain (much) about it.
I don’t think they are going to buff the stats.
There is always something that someone can’t salvage. PvE players can’t salvage karma items bought from heart NPCs for example. Haven’t seen WvW players championing that, but maybe I missed that thread.
Can I recover the 250 Blades I deleted ?
in Account & Technical Support
Posted by: Astral Projections.7320
From reading the forums I gather ANet will restore some items but not others. They will restore items bought with real money then deleted and precursors/Legendaries accidentally salvaged. They don’t seem to replace event items (like the special meta rewards such as Sha’tterer wings) or other items salvaged/deleted.
So based on that I would say the answer is no, they won’t replace the blade shards.
At the start of the game ANet set up 2 pools. One was a pool of gems and the other was gold. When people buy gems with gold they pull gems out of the gem pool and put gold into the gold pool. When they sell gems, they put gems into the gem pool and pull gold out of the gold pull. ANet’s computers keep price ratios between each pool, based on how many gems there are versus how much gold. When more people pull gems out, the price of gems rise and vice versa.
As Gaile has said before:
“I want to point out, once again, that a compromise of our system would result in tens of thousands of hacked accounts and thousands of forum threads, not the handful that you see. Again, we’re taking longer (too long, we confess it!) to address compromised accounts. The delay sometimes drives people to the forums, meaning that we see a few threads that in a normal day would not be visible. But we are not seeing dozens, hundreds, or thousands — and that assuredly would be happening with a security issue within our system.”
If it was ANet’s fault, there would be a flood of hacked accounts, thousands of them daily. Just because you were hacked doesn’t mean it was through them. You need to look for the holes in your own security, not looking to blame others.
You can put karma items in the mystic forge to get items back which you can then salvage. It’s a 4 to 1 loss of items but it will get you something back.
You have a full set of ascended weapons yet also? How about any alts, do they have a full set?
Guild Wars 2. I often went weeks without playing Guild Wars 1, I rarely miss a day here. I turn gw1 on now, run out into a map, kill a couple of things, stand there for a few minutes then log out. I think it’s because there is no one in the map with me. It feels barren. No map chat. No one to see. No one asking how to get to skill point by [waypoint]. And after playing all those years, I can’t even remember how to target something without clicking on them. Plus no dodging or moving while casting. That really bugs me.
As to armor dyes in general, there are 3 different armor compositions, cloth, leather and metal. Each type will dye somewhat differently. So it depends if you are light, medium or heavy armor.
Guardians, the only speed boost they have is the staff, for 4 seconds out of 15 seconds at a time. They are slow. They are naturally tanky with heavy armor and blocks from their virtue of justice and regen from virtue of resolve (their F skills).
But if that’s what you like, give it a try. Make a pure beserker. It will be less tanky. Of course you can’t really do that till max level. Before then it’s whatever gear you can get, and no traits for quite a while. Superior runes of the traveler can’t be used till level 60 and current buy order is 6.25 gold each, so 37.5 gold for a set to get 25% increased speed.
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
“I had thief at head start, I even played with him in tournaments and I had great time.
But I deleted him…
I had Guardian only for 20 levels. It was too slow and too tanky.
So I deleted him.
Which profession gives you more fun? Guardian or Thief?”
It’s all how you like to play. Fast, sneaky and evasive versus slower, tanky and but more powerful. How can we tell you which one you will find more fun? But look at what you said. Guardian was too slow and tanky. Thief, you had a great time and even played in tournaments. Remember how each felt when you played them and decide.

Hmmm. Even though it’s a Guild Wars 1 ticket and this is a Guild Wars 2 forum, why don’t you update your ticket once more, just to get it to attention there and maybe get it out of inactive status if that’s the problem, and post your ticket number here at Tickets for review-3 days and older so Gaile can look at it.
From what you said, it’s possible that you don’t have the necessary information to reclaim your account. I guess you don’t remember the email and password? Any characters names?
(edited by Astral Projections.7320)
And it’s only 2 weeks. So whenever you start it you only have 2 weeks to get any use of it. That’s really not long enough to be concerned about it. How often do you need to access your bank while out somewhere anyway? If you are doing PvE, there is WvW with its access to the bank and crafting tables and a number of maps have a crafting area.
It would probably be more useful if it had 14 uses rather than 14 days.
Only if you become as powerful as Trahearne and able to fight as well as him.

Have you checked your junk and spam folders? Also read this https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/account/Not-Getting-Our-E-mails-Hotmail-Yahoo-Gmail-Comcast and see if that helps.
Sadly Nike is correct, some of us keep thinking they learned their lesson and won’t continue to remove items or content from the game. I keep getting proved wrong.
You have to consider the reason behind it from their point of view.
(Thinks hard about a possible reason)
(Thinks even harder for a possible reason)
The programming! That tab was filled up and they would have to make and put in another weapon tab! That would take up valuable time that could be used to work on other projects.
So, you see. If you consider the matter logically, they do have a good reason.
And that’s the truth. :P
