Less offensive than yours, let me know what you think about it.

Unsuspecting foe makes critical burst superfluous in terms of crit chance because you will focus your burst during stuns. Also, Burst mastery is key for sword/hammer. With 3 adrenaline bars, you do an earthshaker and have full bar for a quick switch+flurry if needed. Vice versa works pretty well too!

If you want extra mobility and condition removal you can move those extra 10 pts from arms to tactics for warhorn. For extra damage and control, you can move them to discipline.

I find myself moving those 5 points a lot but Unsuspecting foe and leg specialist i can’t live without.

Additionally i run a health regen build with runes of soldier for active condition removal. I find myself having little issue with Condition builds + when it comes to bursty enemies, they are usually squishy enough to go down in a well planned stun chain. In the case when i have been burst down, shield comes in handy as well as sword mobility. Thats why i pair them. I also carry ‘Shake it off’ and ‘Fear Me’ at all times which both clear conditions and act as a stun breaker

I feel like a Juggernaut of raw destructive power which i unleash on the battlefield against my enemies.

I don’t use lemongrass or runes of melandru and i dedicate most of my abilities in controlling the enemy so that they are trying to survive instead of trying to kill me. That way, they use their cds defensively which gives me the edge

In pve i enjoy long walks at the beach as far away from Lion’s arch as possible because the sewage there stinks. Sometimes i visit my home at Hoelbrack to visit my mother in law. Apart from my mother in law, i enjoy it there.

I don’t tPvp because the armor i am given makes me look like cinderella. I don’t want to look like cinderella.

Sw/(sh or wh) and Hammer synergise fantastically well, especially when picking up Leg specialist + Burst Mastery for sword flyrry into hammer stuns.

Leg specialist itself is amazing for the reason being: i don’t want my only root to root me too. People are not standing bricks (at least not all the time)
Instead i have an auto-attack, savage leap and hammer shock root on top of flurry. Even though they do share a DR the snaring/rooting does become overwhelming for your enemy at some point.

Fantastic synergy, one of the best a warrior has, at least in my opinion from around 1300 hours played on warrior.

Adrenal Health is my passive healing. I also have shout heals and healing sure to cleanse conditions when I need to, or charge my adrenal health for prolonged fights. I know my kittening build, and I see that you’re so set in your opinion that nothing will budge you, so I’m not going to waste time on this. Please, stop commenting if you have nothing constructive to say.

I was constructively criticizing your build. No offence, but to me its you who is set in your opinion. As i mentioned earlier, i am not against condition builds as i, myself had used one for a long time.

So, practically if someone decides to run away there is nothing you can do. Especially against profs with good condition removal.

This build has:
No applied pressure or burst
No Stuns outside shield cd
Very limited mobility.

You should have at least 2 of the above.

I doubt you think condition damage is a viable option as well, since in an average sPvP fight (which doesn’t last long) I deal 44k-60k damage just in bleeds. They remove it? Apply it again. You probably think that hammer/GS zerker is the be-all-end-all as well.. My CC is moderate and fine. I’ve won competition after competition with it, and escaped plenty of zergs with sword 2 and shield 4. I have bleed bursts, which are the moments when I stack 25 stacks on and watch as your health goes down by 1/4 per second.

Yes, it’s a tank build, and it’s also been called “very OP because of the high condition pressure”. I get plenty of kills solo roaming with this build in a fairly short amount of time. It doesn’t have the “instakill” capability of going full zerker, but the survivability and higher sustained damage in conditions makes up for it.

Please, before you critique a build, L2P more than burst.

EDIT: Also, I never have issues with people running away. Cripple on autoattack, sword 2, shield bash, flurry for a long immobilize, and pin down make it hard for someone to get away without shortly downing from bleeding out.

- “I deal 44k-60k damage just in bleeds” – Let us see a video of you doing that.
- i don’t doubt it at all actually, condition damage is very viable but other classes can do it much better than a warrior and most importantly from a distance. (Necro/Thief/Ele/Mesmer)
- No one escapes plenty of zergs with with sword 2 and shield 4. Not unless those zergs are led by cursed shore zombies or bots. The best ways to escape zergs are being a sword/GS warrior, Dagger ele or thief/memer stealthing
- A decent GS warrior, Mesmer, Thief, Ele will be able to kite you indefinitely. You will win against someone who stays and fights inside your Longbow F1, no one else.
- You have no passive healing which is key for meta builds for tanks right now.
- You mention zergs, then sPvP then solo roaming. Condition warrior is horrible for solo roaming because people can run away. In zergs you don’t have the burst to kill someone before your team mates zerg them. In sPvP almost everyone is a bunker.

I could keep going but you get the point. If you do enjoy your build, that’s great but you would need to revise it a little bit.

If you intend to wvw or wvw, sword/(shield or warhorn) and GS is a great option but condition damage as a warrior takes a lot of momentum which comes from experience.

For pve your ideas would be fun. Try all weapons and combinations until you find what suits you best

I personally do mostly wvw with sword/shield and GS. I use berserker gear but have points in touchness. Full grass cannon doesnt fare well against conditions and tank classes

Having the slightest lag makes final thrust utterly useless. Even though the sword is my favorite weapon, its true purpose is for mobility and flurry, nothing more. #3 takes a setup is awfully slow and predictable and requires your target to be in a small cone right in front of you. Good luck with that.

Considering how many awesome sword skins there are in the game its a pity :/

I do agree that it could almost be used as a mace skin instead but i do like the textures and the lightning steps a lot. It may be one of the legendaries geting updated soon.

Just returned to the game after a few months and a lot has changed for warriors.

My warrior is in zerker gear and uses s/w + GS for solo/group roaming and mobility. Is this build effective as it used to be 5 months ago? Also, would you recommend a build that would work well for this weapon combo?

I have noticed that since the day the patch hit, i often have a lot of lag triggering my abilities in wvw. When i ask in map chat several people confirm having the same issues.

Now this is where it gets interesting:

I spawn at EBGs and inside my base abilities trigger just fine. I move forward and outside the spawning point and abilities start lagging again. Then its on and off. Outside wvw abilities trigger just fine.

I have no latency issues

So, is this related to the recent culling change?

A few months ago and after a lot of time investment i acquired bolt with my warrior. Given the immense time and gold required to get legendary items i consider the fact that they are soulbound, a little bit unfair.

Do the Devs believe that that much time and gold spent should not entitle us to use a legendary weapon with another character?

Is it very far fetched to ask for at least one way to let us use the legendary with another character?

At least through a special transmutation stone costing gems?

I was trying to experiment with S/P after trying S/D and D/D but i don’t quite feel comfortable with being rooted for mediocre damage. Anyone has any videos/builds to share?

I was wondering if there is a valid and tested way to be able to use my legendary on another character of mine

You will be ok with this game but europe uses a different format to the US (ntsc and pal)
So any future discs will need a region change on your player and this is locked to only be used 3 times or so.. So for future discs (expansions etc) you will need to get another drive and have it set to the correct region. thenn its just remembering which are your US discs for games and which are your Euro discs.

You tv will be needed to be changed also yto the new region. most sets have an option for ntsc or pal. same with your dvd or blueray player..

We also have different electrical system and voltages over here so you will need to check that stuff out also. plugs can be different here also.

I have an 80 warrior(main) who is running warhorn/sword and GS in full zerker gear + soldier runes and i cannot recall the last time i lost to a P/D thief.

The skinny of it is that you will have a very hard time killing a P/D thief but you have access to so much mobility as a warrior that you can literally dance around a thief and choose to run if needed.

P/D is a troll build made to outlast you for as long as you insist fighting at one spot. Most of the times you will be able to escape such a thief.

Tips:

1) Stay out of caltrops
2) shake it off on 5+ stacks of bleeds + “fear me” when you have an opportunity to go offensive.
3) In the name of all that is sacred, do not focus on bulls charge+frenzy+100b combos. Save your bulls charge for an escape in this case, or at an ideal opportunity to stun the thief and Whirl slash him until you wear him off.
4) Take the leg specialist talent and force him to waste his stealth abilities defensively

I follow the tips above and i have literally not lost to a P/D thief 1v1 in weeks or months.

I even fought against 2 P/D thiefs with a friend before and they could not down any of us simply due to their lack of burst

But you see my good Sirs, my good Mrs. there is a problem and pronounced now more so than ever with Camp Penitent thoroughly bugged. People no longer value your events so much as to run them in preference to grinding mobs. That massive chest? It gives a few greens and blues and a tiny bit of coin for a ton of sometimes worthless effort. Yet now we can stand at a way point, even when an event is unbugged, and grind mobs of chickens, chickens I tell you, and receive moldy bags, valued ingredients, and even yellow rare or exotic items far more commonly than from your temples, your high Orrian wizards, or your vaunted dragons, no matter the magic find.

Good sirs, you have inadvertently produced a game where your risen chickens provide better loot than your dragons…

Can this really be allowed to stand? Are you secretly a front for Bojangles? For that greasy KFC? And I must write that, this is not a situation that can be solved with a NERF. You see from my point of view the open world roaming from one dynamic event to another is one of the few features you have that make your game UNIQUE. And, unless you want the open world abandoned in favor of those morbid dungeon runs, those dinky little fractals, participation needs to be adequately rewarded and of equal value.

I hereby request that you consider buffing the loot from those massive chests in Lost Shore and elsewhere so that they not only fill my screen but load my inventory with wonders. For now sir, I am heading back to the Lost Shore, and back to grinding chickens as no one sees the value in karma or chest of little comparable worth.

PAXA: a group of 10-15 people, going out of their way to stealth-portal kill groups of 3-5 people in the exact same areas where there is absolutely no challenge.

I have really tried to understand how this group of people can even have fun killing upscaled noobs and avoiding conflict with groups equal their numbers while NSP has been 3/3 since the beginning of time in BP/AR/NSP bracket.

I mean, how much fun can you have seeking fights with the odds in your favor, while offering nothing to your server?

I have been recently running small CoM roaming groups of 3-5 to practice our pvp skills and most of the times we have seen PAXA, it was something like 10-15 of them chasing random people around the map. And when the fight was equal in numbers they ran away like chickens. I mean, whenever i fought a PAXA 1v1, it was mostly me chasing him down back to their group. pathetic, really…

Go help your server, cap a keep or something???

The most successful guilds (and social organizations in general) I see are the ones built around a core nucleus of tight-knit people. If you have at least one solid group of active, fun-having people, a guild will practically run itself. If that nucleus is mostly just you acting as the host of a party, people will naturally float away when the drinks and activities die down. Parties are about the people; all the booze and music are just excuses for them to come together.

My post might sound useless (you need help finding loyal, active people? Well, get some loyal, active people!) but perhaps your goal shouldn’t be about inspiring people to contribute to events and activities as much as it is building up a group of friends who are there because they like to hang around with each other. The rest is purely magnetic.

If you have that already and your guild is still floundering… yeah, I guess that comes down to luck. Presumably, that core group will also feel some responsibility toward the livelihood of the guild and help fill out your hosting/leadership needs just as a natural extension of group loyalty. But I guess sometimes that isn’t true.

They will have top stats forever, starting with the release of ascended weapons

Ill give one tip and one tip only: the boss of all tips; remove frenzy from your utility slots(if you have it)

The bane of all greatsword warriors is that they are tunnel visioned on the infamous bulls charge+frenzy+100b combo.
Focus on mobility and survivability and you will be god mode in terms of burst.

I prefer sword/wsrhorn and gs. The mobility is so much its almost calling for a nerf

As long as legendaries are being the subject of so many “awe and hate” filled threads, yes they are a symbol of achievement. And they will continue to be until they are commonplace, which will likely not happen anytime soon.

Thing is, I have 6 chars at present. To sell a legendary for 2500 gold would essentially mean for me that I could pick up more legendarys quicker as it would give me the coin I need to buy multiple precursors. Precursors are the hardest bit because of the coin you need to get them.

2500g today is like having 1000g next month and 500g in 2 months. Shall you decide to use that gold to buy a legendary in 2 months you will likely find yourself surprised to only being able to afford a precursor for your legendary.

Gold is becoming increasingly devalued by each passing day. Selling your legendary today for 2500 is something i would deem unwise. That, though is just my humble opinion.

Ive done my daily farming in cursed shore. After the adjustment have observed that the moldy bag drop rate has been nerfed slightly, along with a slight decrease in T6 mats. The drop rates are still better from pre patch.

Those who are complaining over this seem to have no understanding why extremely high drops are bad for them and everyone else

I find the adjustments fair because the moldy bags were almost a guaranteed drop post patch. Leaving them as is would harm the game economy a lot

Short answer: Yes, they sell.
Long answer: If you’ve earned yours with blood and sweat i would suggest equipping it for the long haul. Its totally worth it, plus you get a weapon which will always have top stats

Farming implies doing something which may or not be repetitive that you may or not necessarily love but is bearable, in order to achieve rewards/loot/gold.

Grinding usually implies a repetitive task which is most often not enjoyed, but mostly effective in achieving rewards/loot/gold.

i would like to see them removed, and instead to have a set number of treasure chests, discoverable in different zones every day, different for every person.

The logic of the OP:

Define your legit/non speculative way to save up 500+ G in 1 month….

You can grind shelt/pen hardcore for a week and a half and get 500G. You can easily get that in a month.

I farm those events with guildies and each of us net around 2.5 – 3g an hour, with almost maxed MF gear and guild banners/buffs on. That’s as good as it gets.

To get 500g in a week and a half you have to farm for 6.94 days straight(500g/3g/h)

Are you really telling me that you farm for 7 days out of a week and a half to get 500g?

500g in a month is realistic. In a week and a half, if you really do that then i really feel sorry for you for the sole reason that you actually risk getting a heart attack/stroke.

What i do think is that you are exaggerating beyond belief

Anet had mentioned before that people were acquiring legendaries way too quickly.

Now, getting a legendary is at least 2-3 times more expensive than before. Do you really think that they’re gonna hand out precursors at 200g when they are close to 600g on the TP right now? Had it not been profitable for them, the precursor prices would have already adjusted.

I’m pretty sure that they are content with the time it takes to acquire a legendary now, thus whatever this scavenger hunt may be, it won’t be nearly as effective as people theorycraft.

I’m really quite confused here. The thread made a very specific request, and yet the actual topic has been avoided. When I see an ArenaNet symbol next to a thread, I usually assume it means they’ve taken the time to provide constructive feedback and answer questions.

I’m in the same boat as you are, even though my guild is helping me through the lodestone issue right now. Until this point i have done literally everything solo but needing 300-400g(i save by buying cores instead) just for 100 lodestones is an obscene amount and i stand amazed by the ignorance of the company to address the issue.

Yet, i will gladly say i have not spent a penny in my progress and will not do so because to be honest, i am so dissatisfied by the grind i have gone through in achieving my legendary that i am never, ever planning to use the Gem store with real money.

I have made several posts regarding the lodestones.
One main thing is demand. These lodestones are demanded like crazy because they are the main component of some of the coolest looking weapons in the game. Demand makes prices go up and you know what? thats ok

Whats not ok is the uncontrolled market manipulation which now has its grasp on lodestones, precursors and even legendaries. That, i will not accept as OK.

There is no direct trading between players; thus we are practically forced to using the TP as means to our end. Too bad the TP is the playground of people with a wall street mentality.
