Imagine it as a stance like warrior Rampage, but in elemental form! Short time big power up. Fire for massive damage/burns, earth for some cool protection kitten saver, water to heal up yourself/allies, air to do some fast dmg/stun combos.
I know that Tornado is looking like Air takeover, so it would have to be something else or change torando.

Other way could be to give your armor some special effects – like IronMan has his, so Tempest would have flame,wind/thunder,water/ice,stone armors! xD

I can’t understand why ppl complain when they haven’t even seen the skill set yet. Not to mention why would you want another close range dagger-like weapon… Warhorn seems interesting.
Well written by the opener, however I think all devs are busy with HoT and we won’t see any changes in the near future. Even after HoT is released I think they would have to spend some weeks/months working on bug fixes or additional content/living story stuff for the future. Looking into the past it’s hard to say “It’s Not Off The Table”.

The most annoying is when you try to have a fine fight but an icebow-golem comes out of nowhere (from stealth) with his 10k icebow hits and messes it up…
After ppl spend their ton of badges on golems this week they will introduce something “better” to spend them on later in the upcoming patches :p
Would be more interesting : rams only and all other siege disabled for week.

Don’t think it would destroy it for PvX guilds, you could sign up as well. It’s just a quick idea about “in which direction” things could change…
It doesn’t deal with pugs yes, I think they could be randomized to fill up the remaining slots on the servers?
If you have better ideas to solve “Coverage Wars” and make the idea of having highest score at end of the week to have actual meaning and sense behind it then go on. There is a lot of ppl who like to have highest points, but also a lot of ppl who like to have these large scale battles and don’t look much at end week score. We just need a something that could really connect them…
People are free to play whatever builds they like and if it’s effective then what is the problem
You just need to learn, adapt and improve your gameplay a bit maybe? But if you don’t want to then it indeed will stay too hard for you.
WvW could be more guild based, instead random server population based. It would encourage pugs to join proper wvw guilds as well.
Guilds leaders would sign up their guild for next week WvW, specified size of the guild there and times when they are expected to play. Then out of all the signed guilds there could be randomized world created with guilds stacked on them with similiar sizes to each other from the opposing ‘servers/worlds’. Guilds would no longer fight to win the week for some abstract points, but for things of actual value: some Guild Hall upgrades, new skins, discounts at npc’s, gems, guild siege blueprints…
Also it could solve the ‘problem’ of ppl doing scrims at maps instead in OS or GH arena, because, if there would be good enough rewards for winning matches, then it would be much more preferred to eliminate any enemy forces you see on the map instead of organizing some sparring fights with them.
This all could lead later on to forming guild alliances or guild ‘wars’ so you have high chance that XY guild could be on your ‘world’ but ZX guild would be most likely on the world you fight against. Leader would just have to specify which guilds he would like to meet/avoid while signing up for next match – open the panel and you see “We are at war with ZX this week” – increases chance to fight against them, “We are friendly with XY” – increases chance to be on the same world, etc. Many possibilities, if only a system like this could be created.
Fsp just scared about being bandwagoned. FSP is a tier 1 server that is organised enough to tank every match, so they won’t gain rating.
My advise is that more ppl should join fsp, so they’ll finally be 2nd in the rankings were they belong.
If there ever comes a reason to play ppt games then maybe Fsp would bother to push it, but atm I don’t see a reason so personally I just go find some fights while playing, not looking much at the tick or which keep we could take to get more pts – simply not seeing the point to do that. I will always come to defend though because it means more fights against actual players.
As for starter question: I would stay in NA, there is no need for more “off-hours” ppl in EU, imo. It only adds more and more to coverage wars which are already boring.
I wonder if this event is a bait, and real good thing to spend badges on will come in next weeks…
HINT: Golems don’t have condi cleanse. Stack those 250bleed/burn/whatever else, then necros epidemic, 10 necro, 10x epidemic, 10 golem less.
Other things could be to send a thief before the golems arrive at gate/wall to disable them then just bomb with all you have. Or simply roll them with your zerg.
If it’s really gonna be tens of golems attacking then how many players are gonna be outside of golem? Rather not many to help them defend. Golems don’t have condi cleanse.
Maybe they plan to not allow us to use golems on new map and this is kind of ‘farewell’ event? They could be replaced by other things… We will see

New map will ‘fix’ the old bugs >_> and maybe add a couple of new ones
The ‘signet-aura’ build to be precise, but signets are still good in certain situations if you know what you want to do with them.
Combined with the kiting abilities of mesmers (PU condi) I would say the condi application is fair, imo. Jumping into stealth if something goes wrong leaving the enemies bashing their skills into air feels really fun – if you are a mesmers, and really annoying – if you are the basher…
I think if you defend the structure it’s all fair to go in and out when you need.
If you expect some ‘fair’ duel or small/big scale fight then just do it further away from keep/tower or kill the enemies before they enter it, simple.
Don’t worry, the real ‘stress test’ will be when the map goes live.
Even the old maps we play currently got ‘so tested’ that ppl can still abuse bugs, for example trebs near citadel at invulnerable spot.

If you compare stats you can reach in WvW and sPvP you will see why.
I dont care. I see an enemy, he dies. I don’t care if you are dueling or not, even if it is obvious or not. WvW is NOT your dueling arena, go to pvp for that crap or OS.
Same with GvG, get that junk out of the borderlands and go to OS. Nothing more stupid than seeing a queue for a map and finding a zerg around the mill butting heads.

Don’t think you get aura from that leap, only gonna daze or stun your target. But in general all auras are shared now, not only from weapon skills.
Fun dmg for WvW, just different utilities and small trait changes, have to be careful positioning though.
Tip: “If” you see thief in 1200-1500 range just running towards you – prepare for dmg incoming, usually CnD+Steal → Backstab → Heartseeker if you do nothing.

Signet traits are in earth now. You don’t get auras on signet anymore, but there are other sources of auras. On top of that Aura share trait in water works with ALL auras, not only weapon skill ones.
We will see how it ends. After watching stream I’m not sure if the size will be bigger problem or that you can fall off the edges. Will have to put the decorations all around to prevent falling then – the Decorations UI window on stream showed stacks of 20 for decoration type, should be enough?
The small size can prevent from long kiting rounds though or running out of combat. If you are creative with placing the obstacles maaaaaybe it can work out just fine. I wonder about how much server resources will be reserved for these arenas – lag you know, noone likes it, and I heard voices it was getting laggy in spvp with max size teams. I like that spectators are separated from the action.
We wait and see, hopefully some beta tests come relatively soon™ and ppl get to try this out by themselves.
Do i like that i’m doing 3 x effort for mediocre result, and not be rewarded for trying that hard to set-up a combo of 5 spell, in 3 attunements for 1500 dmg … ?

I think it’s around 20-30% smaller than OS arena, just trying to look at player sizes gives me this impression. Maybe it’s because of no stairs on the sides just making it look like that, we will see…

Looks to me like a spectator giving hints about enemies to the player in some game.
The problem will be solved… when expansion comes and new map replaces the old one. >_>
In t1 maybe? I’m pretty sure lower tiers would gladly accept those guilds.
They improved rewards once they added champ bag for every lord in tower/keep and then the kitten ed k-trains started, where only 1 side gets significant rewards – the attacking side. Defenders only get the “Event Succeded” – here is a bit of your karma and experience and some bags if you manage to kill the attackers before they run away. Not even gonna mention that in most cases you have to hide inside the tower and pretend to not be there, so that the attackers think ‘Oh, empty tower, let’s take it!’ – then you jump out with your siege disabler shouting ‘Surprise xxxxx!’
I don’t know how the opener want’s roaming to be rewarded. Do you want to get better rewards for flipping camps or informing your commander about enemy positions? Or do you want more ‘stuff’ for killing random guys running here and there in who knows what zerg build they are in? Strategical roaming or yolo-solo-gankerino roaming just to kill other players?
So far the most efficient in ‘giving bags’ is either going EoTM and pvdooring whole months killing any uplvl on your way with your zerg OR joining good organized zerg and farming other zergs in WvW (don’t mistake WvW =/= EoTM), so I think you should do one of these to get ‘more’.
Roaming is like if you go pve and kill mobs in some low lvl map 1 by 1, but you expect to get big rewards from it. For big rewards you have to do big events like teq, wurm or spend days in SW – yes, zerging is still the most rewarding thing in this game, pve or wvw doesn’t matter… Even in pvp you do things faster and more efficent by jumping 1-2 guys with your 3-4 or abusing the downed state and purposely not finishing off your enemies to gain more time for capping circles and earning points that way. Quantity > quality in most cases.
Why would it kill it?
Option could be that PPK is working 24/7, even if PPT would be disabled for those 10 hr “Peace/Repair/Whatever else Time”. Fights would be giving points still.
So let’s say that majority – the 99% population (EU) can play from around 12:00 pm till 02:00 am – work, school etc… Allow the servers to score points in that period of time. For the rest of time you can play but no points scored. How about that?
It just seems too pointless. There is no real value in owning properties. Nothing to be gained and nothing to lose. It’s unscripted so in that sense it’s still better than PVE, but it’s also so routine it’s all too similar. You’re not there to wage war, you’re not there “for” anything. Just running around the map trading castles based on ppt.
Gain a castle? So what, it has no value. Time spent defending it is time spent not seeking out more ppt. Just go ahead and lose it, you’ll grab it again next time around, and it’s pretty inconsequential either way. So goes the routine.
It’s too structured, limited, and artificial. I’d prefer something more free-form. Not so point-driven, and routine. Something with politics, alliances, consequences, etc. WvW, like the rest of the game, just isn’t that deep of an experience. I was excited about it in the beginning, back when guilds bothered to claim castles and so forth, before it became apparent how shallow it all was. Now it’s just “doing the rounds” for no particular reason.
It can be nice to romp around in a bit, but it otherwise just doesn’t feel important in the slightest. There’s no “cause” for me to serve and care about, and there’s no variety. Always the same maps with the same tedious routines.
Pretty similiar here. I still like to go zerg around or roaming (rarely cuz of perma ganking and chasing). It’s more interesting and more fun to “farm/gather” money this way than run dungeons/SW chest farm or any other pve stuff for me.
Playing for points though is total waste of time anymore in my opinion. Like the quoted person say, there is no ‘reason’ for it, plus all the flaws and imbalances on top of that. It was somehow fun when the game was new, but with time it stopped attracting ppl.
Maybe if there was some feeling of progression, for example you gather tokens weekly, amount based on which place your server ended up in, then exchange them for some skins or other utilities, foods, new siege skins… Ofc, first the population balance would have to be solved. Free transfers for short time then close transfers and change them to different system like ‘invitation only’ or something + servers based on WvW population instead of overall population? Are devs reading ppl ideas? Sometimes this feeling that there is a lot of stuff written, but it is not seen by anyone.

I wouldn’t expect to get those 1v1 often while roaming. Maybe if you go to arena in OS.

Currently bearer of 84 titles (excluding “No Title”).” AP is everything for him… untill he leave the game and think ‘why the hell I spent so much time on gathering some virtual stuff’ :P
On topic though – some achis could use one ‘0’ less in the max amount. Been talked about it since long time, but nothing happened. Maybe it’s too complicated, meh.
Since we are at it, let us salvage the Ascended gear too? Ascended Salvage Kit, whatever…
Maybe they should make long term inactive accounts not bound to any server, so when the person log in again (if ever), he/she can choose whatever server they please, even if for free.
The thing about venoms that messes up most ppl is long immobilize duration. If you manage to cover it with enough ‘filler’ condis and the target is not prepared/has not equipped certain skills/utilitys to counter it, he is at least gonna go down state… If you can’t clean immob – you can’t dodge aka you take everything on your face. Since venoms come from thief the chance the whole burst will come from stealth is high enough that the target won’t be expecting it and no way to dodge…
