Can the cannon on inner hills hit north outer gate?
Yep, always has been able to.
The map font is available here:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/community/api/API-Documentation/first#post2250616
Other than that, I would assume it’s a custom font, not one otherwise available.
“Accidentally deleted old model file. Kitten. Redrawing, expect in 3 months.”
See line, count 1, dodge/evade/block. Mesmer pulls aren’t even a worry any more.
Is it really a zoom hack if you’re not using any external programs, just making use of the game engine?
I like fresh air s/d (0/30/0/20/20), it’s pretty good in all matchups 1v1. Really good burst, and if you run cleansing fire instead of arcane wave you should be fine.
I generally run ogre runes, zerker ammy, sigil of battle, sigil of force
Earth trait VIII is mislabeled as XI (but is still available in the Master trait tree)
(Also, switching to air no longer causes auto-attack, as far as I’m aware. It was fixed a while back.)
Dagger/dagger or staff? Both can do it. If you’re keeping him in combat, then evasive arcana along with decent healing power will proc 1.5k heals on dodge. Water 5 on dagger is a big heal, and water 5 on staff no longer roots, so it’s easy to cast and dodge into four a blast finisher while kiting.
Can you give us some kind of preview on the upcoming changes to the Commander Icon?
Quick question for those who participated, did you feel that some of us were extra squishy or that we were not doing enough damage or conditions? Versus some of the more experienced guilds you faced, were we pretty predictable or surprising? Also how do you handle your heal timing? Thanks in advance.
Not trying to be mean, but you guys were really squishy. Do you have your necros dropping spectral wall on your way in? I felt like I was getting bigger numbers than normal, and people were dropping very quickly.
Heal timing? Er. we have a rotation of water fields, and when nightlight calls for water, we drop one on top of him. :P
Thanks for the fights, FaTe
Good fight DE|RP, your focus fire is really good, and I don’t have enough cleanses for all the immobs you folks run. :P
Something similar to this might be what you’re looking for:
Nourishments key for wvw are either the lemongrass poultry soup (reduce condi duration), or omnomberry compote (heals on kill)
Note that I run a bloodlust staff for +250 power in stacks (during small engagements, tower/camp captures) before switching to stamina for large-scale engagements.
I run staff ele (when I’m not roaming) and have ~145k kills under my belt in WvW, but before I give advice, a couple of clarification questions:
1 – What size group do you run with?
2 – What is your group composition? (necro-heavy? ele-heavy? guard/war-heavy? mes-heavy?)
3 – When running in large groups, do you have separate range/tank groups that split and reform, or do you run DPS-ball? (Both valid strategies, but require different thought processes when designing a build for them.)
just started reading this thread and TC it’s easy to claim you outskill your opponents when you outnumber them 5-1 and have t3 upgrades everywhere. Remember that matchup against SoR, we certainly do.
We organised some even-number fights and they turned out fairly evenly vs. SoR. Come do some 20vs20 (or 25s) and see if we really do outskill you.
Just an FYI: you now have to wait for your downed skills to come up before you can mist form. No more spamming 2 as your going down for that instant invul.
GoEP doesn’t feel like it should be a reactive skill. If you’re running multiple stun breakers, then this is the one you pop first, I guess, so it’s active for more of the fight.
For WvW I could maybe see this being used along with Earth trait VIII (currently mislabeled as XI, still) for stability on earth switch. This means you don’t have to immediately cast your armor of earth when running into a zerg for stability, you can drop static field/frozen ground then switch to earth as you pass their statics/spectral walls.
If you get hit by a static/stun after that, then switch to water, pop GoEP and enjoy aoe chills off your spells for 30s.
Tarnished Coaster here,
I want to see us pair up as: JQ/BG/TC
or, if that doesn’t happen: DB/FA/TC
Hey CNB,
here’s the footage from the GvG we had on the 26th (music instead of voice comms)
<3,
CERN
Also available in EBG, in addition to Malchor’s and Cursed Shore.
Good job on GvG CERN!!! All dat CC and banner ressing had me QQing. lol GOOD JOB SRSLY!!
<3
It was a lot of fun, we tried out some new builds that ended up working very nicely together.
We were short on eles when putting our team together, so we had to bring a ranger. I guess he worked out OK in the end.
Ahh, gem cards. that would work if there were anywhere within ~150 miles that sold gem cards. :P
(EB Games here does NOT carry them, despite them being on the list of stores that should, and my local Best Buy also doesn’t carry them. Yay. Oh, also Walmart – does not carry them locally.)
There is a purchase ceiling, yes. I’ve hit it a few times. I think it’s $250 in a single week, after which time it’s unlocked again. (It could be $200, I’m guessing ‘cause I don’t deal in USD amounts. :P)
This only really was an issue for me when I hit the limit, then they released daily minipets. I’ve learned to purchase my gems after any given Tuesday’s update to avoid this issue in the future.
I’m pretty sure people have Ultimate Dominator already (or are very close) – I’m about 1/2-way there (just hit 105k kills) and I know at least a couple of people who have at least double that.
cause it seems the more people there are the faster it caps…
Should be a fixed amount of time(not that the huge zerg can cap the camp in 1 second and others come too late to get in the circle).
They are a fixed amount of time. I’ve timed solo caps and caps with a zerg of 70+ people (for camps, towers, sentries, and keeps) – they’re all the same no matter how many people are there.
It probably seems shorter when you’re running to one, ‘cause you don’t see the whole capture time, only the portion while you’re in range.
There is no point, because GW2 does not have queues. Players are put in random clusters that the game then take random groups of players from when WvW go below a certain percentage of full.
And this has nothing to do with skill lag.
This. All of this. The queue is a joke, seeing as it’s not a ‘first-in-first-out’.
It’s more like “WTK! I’ve been in queue for an hour and yours pops in 15 minutes!?”
Portals are for golems, reinforcements and sneaky/hidden flanks, not for bombing.
Friends don’t let friends portal bomb.
They don’t disengage from combat, they use their heal skill, which on a glass canon with a tiny health pool, heals them back up to full.
Strafing and dodging left, but starting to strafe right before the dodge animation finishes.
So I’m getting a fairly reproducible bug with any ‘on dodge’ skills my ele has (evasive arcana.)
Basically reverse the direction key you’re holding while performing a dodge-roll and it makes your effect not trigger.
I’ve lost out on healing/flame/bleed blasts SO many times because of this when in a heated fight and wanting to switch directions quickly
I’ve had this happen a few times on that tower (and only on that tower) when I’ve used a leap or rush skill when standing right next to the gate. I tend to run straight up the stairs, and right off the edge, so people inside don’t think I’m intentionally glitching through. All that really happens is I lose out on a bit of FGS dps on the gate, sometimes get downed/killed by the zerg on the inside, and laughed at by all my guildies in mumble. :P
I think it’s supposed to drop from Caudecus’ Manor chests, although I haven’t see it myself despite MANY CM runs.
There is currently no Carrion-stat back item at level 80, of any rarity.
For WvW (which is all I know for necro, as I don’t play one and only really play wvw these days):
Wells are getting a huge buff this week (cooldown reductions across the board), spectral wall gets changed from vulnerability to fear when enemies cross it, making it SO good in WvW (better than it currently is, which is already amazing.)
Note that with the new matchup system, there really isn’t one server that is the same colour all the time, it does get mixed up fairly regularly these days. (The last 4 matchups, TC has been blue three times and green once)
WvW servers doing well doesn’t mean they get their colour changed, that just happens with the randomised matchups.
In addition, the current top-3 matchup won’t get you map completion by any stretch. TC might actually be the server you want to move to if you want to finish your map completion this week, seeing as we’ve taken every point on every map at some point so far this week. :P
I’d say just play lots, don’t try to join groups looking to do speed-runs, and let people know when you DO join groups that you’re new to the dungeon; ask them to be patient as you learn the encounters.
Willingness to learn is step 1, so you’re off to the best start.
What server are you on? I’d be willing to run a few dungeons with like-minded people to help people learn encounters and their profession if you’re #1 NA and #2 in a timezone I can work with :P
Learn the telegraphing of high-damage attacks, use interrupts (knock-back, knock-down, daze) or damage mitigation (blind, block, dodge) to avoid those big hits. If you’re fighting things that are a higher level than you, make sure of two things:
- Your gear is up-to-date; nothing worse than taking more damage than required ‘cause your gear is 10 levels below you
- You don’t aggro too much at once. I was soloing level 16 veterans at level 10 on my guard, but would be totally kittened if another mob came into the fight
250 stacks? o.0 that’s an awful lot of zhaitaffy
Here a score update for people who want it
Holy kitten. Dat EB map.
On the hopeful seperation from Tarnished Coast next week, i just want to do a shout out to CERN. We had a awesome time fighting you guys this week you pushed us and we adapted and learned alot from you guys, you’re movement was really good and precise.
Thanks.
TS is always a tag we look out for, you guys give us some good fights. We’ve all had the chance to experiment with new compositions this week, so sometimes we’ve ended up being really squishy. :p
This got me to unfollow the gw2 Facebook page. Well done ArenaNet team
Torment =http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Weaken_Knees ?
Seems right for necros to get that, and assassins had something similar, iirc, as did rits.
I think tactics from T1-T3 are pretty similar, and the difference is in coverage and overall WvW population rather than in baseline skill. I would say that SoR is probably the most coordinated server I’ve fought against, in that they have VERY high percentages of their zergs in voice comms, and multiple scouts at every location (plus defense teams at waypointed keep doors to prevent contesting).
In terms of guild skill levels, I think there are very high-skill guilds on every server, no matter the tier. ZvZ in T1 was not much different from ZvZ in T2 or T3 other than the numbers fielded. I guess T1 gets to the point where there are enough numbers to effectively do pincers, flanks and mass-portals without splitting into too small of a group.
The meta of zerg composition is different, too, between tiers. Those SoR hammer warrior/well necro zergs took a bit of figuring out how to deal with, and they wiped us plenty until we did (then we went 7-3 against even/greater numbers towards the end of the week.)
I hope CD and SoS are taking this week to learn from TC so they can improve, not just sitting back and letting the score run out.
From what I saw while commanding on TCbl last night:
Wear more bunker-type gear. If you’re dying, add more pvt.
You stack well, CD, but then you don’t move! Mean, I appreciate you standing in all my AoEs, and your retal stacking kinda hurts, but it doesn’t win you fights.
Yeah, I’ve had this happen at Teq and the Shatterer. Strangely, never at Jorlag. I guess the wp is far enough away that it doesn’t have the loading issues.
SoS, you’re our new FA. <3
Woo! Looks like it’s gonna be a fun match. Good luck everybody. Hard fights everywhere all the time!
So proud to run with CERN and alongside EP. Nightlight and Odinzu are 2 of the best commanders I’ve ever seen (coming from Ascension Alliance {Pain Train [PTX]} before their implosion, fighting on ET and SoS while they were each T1, and TC and FA in T2 and 3.)
The only commanders I’ve ever seen/run with that come close are IRSyko (FA at the time) and Blankspace (retired, ET.)
Yeah, Gems don’t come via carrier pigeon, they’re magically teleported directly into your wallet by some obscure Asuran gating technology.
You know that one the story achievements are live, you’ll need neither the dragon ball or the moa races for the meta? There are 15 total, so if those 3 are removed from your list you’ll still have enough for wings.
