If someone goes down on my platform, I res them after I finish killing the boss. Ressing takes away from my DPS, and I’m confident that I can solo. People going down are just pulling aggro and reducing my control of the boss.

You’re wrong. It has been tested and proven to be true that more people in a circle cap it faster. (The Ruins cap circles are the exception to this rule, as they will always cap at the same speed with nay number of people in them.)
Since some of the sigils are being reworked and balanced as part of the update, we’re really just going to have to wait and see what the damage and cooldowns are on fire and air.
That said, night and force is a clear frontrunner in terms of raw dps on 2h weapons where endurance is not an issue.

WvW ranks are currently character based, but that’s supposed to change some time soon (ish). Other than that, everything else is a plus. More achievement points, more knowledge of other classes (good for counterplay in PvP/WvW), more options for group play.
Does anyone actually care about the glicko rankings? Huh. I’m here for fights, and they show up no matter what your glicko score is.

If I’m commanding on my ele, I have a PTV melandru set that I roll with d/d for survivability on the front line. People can’t follow a back line commander (usually).
For zerg fighting, staff ele that’s as glassy as you can handle without dying. For organised smaller groups, staff zerk, s/d zerk/dire or d/d zerk/dire.
Source: 3k hours played on ele, over 200k wvw kills as ele.
I think there is also a hard-cap of 2 minutes on swiftness (or at least, the “9 stacks” thing soft-caps it there from maximum swiftness effect durations.) – In my 2.5k hours playing the game, with swiftness stacking on a regular basis, I’ve never seen over 2m duration.

Strange, I don’t have issues with hammer trains. Just move out of the way, dodge through it, or pop stability. I’ve seen hammer trains get wrecked by engie comps, so stability isn’t required by any stretch.
1. Guild halls. Somewhere for our guild to congregate AMD hang out while rallying up for wvw, waiting for reset, or shooting the kitten after a guild push.
2. Skill options. Theory crafting builds is what makes the difference between players that understand the game and those that just play it. Be it new utilities, order-specific skills, new weapon skills or new racials, we need to create real build diversity in the game to keep it interesting.
3. New quests. Our choice of order has no current bearing on the game post level 50. Make a daily that is specific to your order. Give enhanced personal story quest lines relating to your order as a follow-up to the end boss fight. Give us something in our home instance that shows where we came from and who we fought beside.
ITT: People who think going 30 in earth leads to any kind of viable competitive build. Not sure we’re playing the same game.

Solution to the loot issue: Pick up your loot before you die, and WP once dead so any additional loot spawns at your feet. Lying there dead does nothing to help your team anyway.

Regarding gating, I think that having minimum rank 250 in wvw would be a reasonable baseline in addition to the current gold cost. It shows some dedication to the game type and someone of that rank should have at least a rudimentary understanding of wvw strategy.
Have you done story mode on that character? That’s the prerequisite for explorable. You may have been in someone else’s instance of explorable before, but that doesn’t give you permanent access.
out of the SBI guilds I’ve faced since this matchup started I’d have to say [DR] is the most impressive. Good cohesion, good spot picking, pays attention to cooldowns, and most importantly does things for a reason.

Okay, so before we get too far into this discussion, here is something else to think about:
Would you rather see us make some number of small improvements in the short term and larger changes long term or just tear the whole thing down and start from scratch?To be a bit more specific, we could probably do something like multicolor markers without too much work, although it is not a given, but that would likely be the extent of things for a long period of time.
Short-term improvements really required:
1: Changeable color markers (including invisible, so commanders can do a /supplyinfo without actually showing a tag on the map)
2: Greater radius for /supplyinfo. As it is right now, the radius is what, 100 units? So hard to use when trying to check supply on the run or just before engagement near a keep/tower. You want all the ranged squishies to stack on the frontline? Ouch.
3: Greatly reduced or completely removed chat suppression for commanders.
4: More visible commander icons (should not decrease in size as the commander moves further away.) Make it work like T-targets.
5: Suppressible visibility to those within current squad to make leading guild groups easier, and allow use of the T-targeting system as intended – to target foes.
After that, take however much time you need to make sweeping overhauls. This would do us well enough for the foreseeable future.
(Actual squad utility functions would be nice eventually, but we kinda have workarounds for things like group composition and party creation that we can handle for now.)
He’s not talking about the wxp consumables. He’s talking about the wxp boosters (available in the gem store, or from rank-up chests). You know, the ones that give you +50% wxp gain.

I say, don’t worry, Anet has the stats, they know how many folks completed which of the achievements and how many were uncompleted by the masses. It is very obvious the jump puzzles except for EB’s where the easiest with the Castle Take in EB a close second, what only 5 times or was it 4? It would flip that many times in a single night.
I dunno, I don’t really play in EBG, so I don’t have the SMC caps or Mercs done. I have every other achievement complete, though. I guess I could try to get some SMC caps this week, or farm merc flips. Not overly enamoured about doing either of those though.

I use QWES for forward/backward and strafe. Mouse look & turn. Let’s you continue moving while placing your AOEs, if you’re comfortable moving while hitting your keybound skills. Just make sure your keyboard can handle large numbers of simultaneous inputs.
As someone on SBI, I can say that this match fixing is NOT happening. We just don’t have any presence bright now on any of the maps. I was running round sbibl and bpbl trying to ninja cap camps and towers, but BP had a lot more people that were a lot more organised than we did over the last few hours.

Also, I think the 3rd world have bigger problems than not being able to access a game mode of an mmorpg.
Vehemus [full name redacted] plays on SBI, and WvWs quite regularly with his anet tag on. I know of 4-5 ANet staff that play on TC and WvW somewhat often.
6000+ hours here and no pre drop or MF eva. But made tons of legendaries by farming champs hard

By the time that we started fighting you guys, we had 25 in the TS3 channel. Probably no less than 23 on the field during our fights. You guys have been giving us some hard fights during the weekend raids so we had to change up the way we fought. We appreciate the challenge and we expect nothing less the rest of the week.
Excellent, I look forward to fighting you guys some more. Hopefully we get some more guildies on tonight/tomorrow so we can run our full 20-24 raid comp. Having only 2 guards in a 16-man comp hurts so much against hammer train.
We should organize some even-number stuff sometime. GvG week 7?

Reaper isn’t bad for wvw roaming in a group of 5-ish.. Perma poison and chill on those sneaky backstabbing thieves.
Melandru sees occasional use in WvW zerg fights for it’s stability and rooting.

Hey DB, thanks for using those golems to get us into garrison last night. Much appreciated. Saved RoT the trouble of walking round to the wall we had down.
Even sbi needs to double team bp with db. During nights both zergs hit bp and don’t hit each other it seems. Db owns a fully upgraded hills and sbi won’t touch anything they own. Poor sports
Why attack a T3 wp’d hills when you can hit a paper bay/garrison that’s worth the same points, and the enemy is distracted? That T3 keep will still be there, exactly the same, afterwards, while the paper bay could get an upgrade and be more difficult to take. Simple tactics, not double teaming.
(Although when we let those 2 DB golems break down the SW garrison gate last night after we wiped the rest of the DB forces there, and protected them from BP defense, that was really funny, and we were laughing so hard in raidcall. – Of course we promptly killed the golems once they got us inside the outer wall.)

If they have bloodlust, then every stomp is 1-3 points for the server. There are 3 exits from your spawn. Use them.
Indiana Jones unfinished JP in AC, or the turkey room in the same dungeon.

The only boosters that matter are WXP boosters, and they don’t make that much of a difference given how fast you can farm wxp in a karma train before reset.
Gold is a non-issue, as there’s no statistical improvement by getting higher-priced exotics, and ascended things are account-bound and unpurchasable.
There’s not been any thanksgiving in GW2, as there are no weekend events like in GW1. It would have to be incorporated into a 2 week living story update.
It’s really nice to not be fighting server blobs on every map…

Biggest group I’ve been in on SBI, I briefly popped tag and did a /supplyinfo to count numbers as we stacked up. There were 54 people in range of the command, and we were stacked pretty tight, on a queued map, on reset night. That didn’t last long, as the commander told us to split into groups to hit multiple objectives.
Compare that to TC where the EB crew ran a standard 75+ group during NA, mostly on voip, and the borderlands were always 70+ groups on weekdays NA prime, full server on reset.
Yeah, it’s nice to not fight blobs. <3
