Sure. But these players that “play the game themselves” then come on here and complain that he’s too hard or about other aspects of him.
I’ve been doing it since day one and have:
x2 Greatsword
x1 Sword
x2 Longbow
It all depends on your luck.
I suggested it over a week ago stating it would be easier to use that than guides. At this point, there’s probably no real benefit to it unless you’ve already started.
So how are people getting to him solo? Or do they have a group get them there?
Now to get them to do path 2… (yeah right!)
People need to drop the whole zerg mentality. Just because you can’t zerg something, doesn’t mean that it’s broken, bugged, or whatever. Learn the mechanics of the boss.
You can outside of SAB.
I don’t get what the issue is. You transmuted it because you didn’t like the stats. If they upgraded the stats of legendaries to match those of ascended weapons then the original stats will increase. I completely disagree that whatever stats you transmuted to it should be upgraded.
If they do this for everyone that has a “legendary” then all those that gets theirs after the fact will be stuck with the basic stats or forced to get an ascended weapon with the stats they want and transmute it. If someone wants legendary stats other that PVT then they should transmute the stats from ascended weapons.

Can you take a screenshot of the map and post it here?
The queue is random though and not a first-in-first-out system.
Is your status invisible? Quitting the game should have reset it.
Can you or someone record a video of the glitch rather than screenshots?
You don’t need a group for any bit of it. Just do infantile mode to get the general idea and then go back on normal.
Chantry of Secrets
No different than any other dungeon until people learn the mechanics. There’s people that think Lupicus is impossible when he can be solo’d and groups have beaten him in about 1.5 min.
It’s all about learning your class, learning to play as a TEAM, and learning the dungeon/boss mechanics. Gear and trait choices matter too if you’re not as seasoned as others. Going full berserker on a dungeon you’ve never done before and on a class you barely know is a bad choice.

It’s from all of those sticks of butter and chocolate bars.
Seriously though, I don’t see the bug or issue. In the OP’s pictures, the first one has him wearing a collared shirt which will hide the lanky neck unlike in the second image. When you run and lead forward, do you look down at the ground or do you look up to see where you’re going? The back shot is what I would expect to see when the npc is looking up. Ryuujin’s is looking a like that because of the angle. The newest post as the character dancing or something since their leg is up and they’re leaning forward.
You should specify the event names and use as much detail.
It’s the momentum. You can’t stop that when you teleport while falling.
Search the subforum. It’s been stated in a thread.
Read up on probability. What you’re seeing is very likely to happen and doesn’t means rates change. It’s a common mistake that people see like when someone gets nothing with MF gear and then gets a good drop the second they take it off.
It’s not that difficult to get baubles with 5 characters. If you don’t want to farm them then you have the option of paying gold. Just prioritize which skins you really want and whether you actually need every weapon on every character to have a skin.
Temporary skins have been around for quite some time. The skins in October were temporary. The difference between those and the ones we have now is that these can easily be gotten by anyone without much effort.
If you received tokens then people would be more willing to do them. The silver/karma is not worth the time spent.
I don’t see anything wrong with representing more than one guild assuming they do separate functions. I personally have one for PvE and one for WvW. I joined a PvE guild since the WvW guild essentially did zero PvE content so I had no support from them when I wanted to do PvE. They also only doing missions during the day once a week locking me out from doing them.
I prefer to be able to do all content in the game as focusing on just one will quickly lead you to get burnt out and/or bored. If guilds want members to rep them 100% of the time then they need to understand that people do like to enjoy all content and they should support them in doing so. Otherwise people will join other guilds to get support for what they are not receiving.
Shift or ctrl feels awkward. If you hold the space bar down just a little then you can usually get both to go off at the correct time to do the dodge jump. It does vary by keyboard though since not all are the same.
They should just wait until the end of the month when SAB goes away to manipulate prices. I’m pretty sure the gs skin will jump to 46 gold without the help of manipulators.
Rapids didn’t seem that difficult. Then again, I’m pretty good with jumping puzzles and didn’t do it with a norn or charr.
Probably referring to the stairs or ledge when attacking him. Some things still need to get fixed.
@Vanthian
I was not addressing the OP but what I saw in this thread and others just like it. Yes, I understand that you were just comparing the item themselves. The thread went the direction of whether it was necessary or noticeable on the character overall.
As long as you don’t argue that the difference would be noticeable, the gear is necessary, etc then it good. If you do then base stats have to be included.
Asking for events just seems like laziness to me. The same goes with asking when something is up such as SB. People should have done events enough times to know where they are and which ones a frequently up. As far as spawn times, there’s a website that tracks that and takes 5 sec to check.
Welcome to the world of RPG’s.
Find things to do along the way to keep things entertaining.
Quicker to do higher level dungeons or fractals. Just about everything you kill counts as a veteran.
Too much clutter. Just make it something that shows when you hover over the bauble total.
I only do borderlands since I hate the way people do EB.
There needs to be some benefit to defending a keep/camp/etc.
You can try this video of someone who got the achievement. She’s pretty good at making video guides for everything in the game.
I completely agree.
The game is grindy because people choose to make it that way.
People choose to make it grindy because the game rewards grinding.
So you say that you don’t need to have that stuff, you just want to?
Ok, you don’t need to grind, you just want to have exotic/ascended gear.
Ok, you don’t need to have ascended/exotic gear for pve/wvw, you just want to win.
Ok, you don’t need to win at pve wvw all the time, you just want to have fun.
Ok, you don’t need to have fun, you just want to enjoy the game.
Ok, you don’t need to enjoy the game… just quit and go do something else.
You’re distorting what I said with your personal bias. You’re under the assumption that gear is everything. Exotics are easy to get without a grind. Ascended is only a grind if you decide you want them right now. The difference between then will not make a difference in whether you win or lose in WvW.
I’m not going to address the rest of your statements like the one about fun and enjoyment since they’re foolish. They serve no point other than being random nonsense posing as an argument.
@ Vanthian.9267
Sry not to many are going to read what you posted its a bit too much for non math major. The point was that even if with the numbers as they are will not excludes you from content in the game making all Ascended WANT and not NEED.This is the point of this thread beyond that your getting off-topic badly.
It is still very much on topic. The higher numbers will be needed and required eventually. Do they scale FotM with Masterwork Gear in mind? No, they do not. They are designing the high levels for Ascended.
You can say that, “But… but… that is only one place in the game!”. That is very true, at the moment. That does not lend towards the future in which they have stated that more Agony bosses will filter their way into the game at some point. Which means that eventually Ascended items will be needed for the game (as it is now).
My first example still stands. Why would you stand around eating nothing but Jelly sandwiches when you can be having a 3 full course meal?
Also, taking out the base stats shows the pure increase from Exotic to Ascended and not the buffed base numbers. Consider this simplified version.
Exotic gear gives: 5 Power
Ascended gives: 7 Power
So the increase is: 40%Now, say base stats where 10 each.
Then you would have…
Exotic gear + Base = 15 Power
Ascended gear + Base = 17 Power
Which comes to: 13.33333%As you can see, the second example is miss leading in the actual increase of the single items power. The second example is a overall increase. Very different things.
Please note: When presenting a percentage as fact while using a formula that gives something completely different than what you are trying to prove is a way of trying to sway a crowd. Politicians and polls do it all the time.
So when talking about a Percent Increase of a item; show the increase form item to item… not the overall increase or the difference percentage between the two.
Actually you have it backwards. The first example is misleading. The percentage difference between items is irrelevant when comparing the impact they have when equipped. An item that has 30 points is 200% better than an item that has 10 points. The impact of this change radically changes when the base stat is included. You must include the base stat when determining the impact of the character between the two items.
If you have 100 base points then the difference is 18.18% [(130-110)/110]. If you have 200 base points then the difference is 9.52% [(230-210)/210]. If you gave 300 base points then the difference is 6.45% [(330-310)/310)]. I think you can see my point. The reasoning behind this is called diminishing returns. As you add more points, they gradually have less of an impact.
This is why going by just the stat differences between exotics and ascended by themselves is misleading. It doesn’t show the impact that it will actually have on your character. This is what the argument is as arguing about the stat difference between the items is pointless.
I’ll also add that an item that gives a 4% increase does not go to 8% when another item with a 4% increase is added. It doesn’t work like that. I know you didn’t state that in the post but this is more for everyone in general since I wouldn’t be surprised if someone jumped to that conclusion. I just don’t want to see someone claiming that equipping all 12 slots (minus weapons) with items that have a 4% increase yields 48% overall.
Yeah there isn’t an auto-balance in tournaments, I think. That’s why I didn’t include that part in the post you quoted. There are still ways for people to “game” the system to inflate their ranking.
The game does not have deathmatches. In sPvP you’re on a TEAM where the GOAL is to reach 500 by claiming the different points. Pvp is just what is used to accomplish this. A team that solely pvp’s will lose.
At the end of every match, we are ranked by our performance and we have a score. This score would be a more accurate indicator than w/l or k/d. Just cumulate this and treat it as the leadership ranking.
(edited by Ayrilana.1396)
So in sPvP, people will now leave the match before the timer goes off if their team is about to lose. This will force the auto-balancing and those on the winning team will get pushed to the losing team and get a loss assuming they too don’t leave as well.
This is just my initial impression so it may or may not be realistic.
It needs to be a combination of everything since doing kill/death would not be effective because wins are gotten by capping points, not pvping.
Hot join is not counted in your rating for the leaderboards. Only tournament games.
You can still do exactly what I stated in tournaments. I wasn’t talking specifically about hot joins. You can join a tournament and it your teams is going to lose, quit out of it. This is unless ANET has a system in place where the loss will still count against you.
You can just compare the stats differences if you want to compare the items only. However, the argument is more tied towards the impact on your character and ignoring base stats will be misleading.
Lets says you have 98 points as a base stat. Exotic gives you 2 extra points while extended gives you 4. Comparing the items themselves shows a 50% difference. Including base stats it is actually 2%. Huge difference.
I suggest learning about the law of diminishing returns. Essentially you reach a point where 1 point of a stat is not necessarily worth the same as if you had less of it. Just look at toughness which has been discussed on these forums and reddit a lot.
Make sure to grab the one on top of the log/tunnel at the very beginning as well as the one under the crumbling leaf at the last section that can easily be missed.
I get slowed too as if I was in combat. It doesn’t happen very often but it is annoying when it does and I do those half jumps.
Most warriors are easy if you can dodge.
It really comes down to player skill rather than which class you are. Some classes do have it easier than others but player skill is still the major factor.
If you’re having difficulty paying for waypoints and repairs then you’re doing it wrong.
So in sPvP, people will now leave the match before the timer goes off if their team is about to lose. This will force the auto-balancing and those on the winning team will get pushed to the losing team and get a loss assuming they too don’t leave as well.

Yeah. I remember fighting this tough mob a week ago. He was only 2 levels higher but hit pretty hard with the attacks he spammed. It was in whichever Charr zone that had the event to defeat elementals and plug these holes with boulders.
Hidden shop in zone 3 behind the waterfall I think. Check the guides to make sure.
You can repair at the beginning with all of them. Fractals as one at the lobby area before going into the fractals themselves.
It’s been reported by several people and the majority of them have ended up eventually getting it due to having missed one. A couple have posted screenshots of the orb they missed stating it wasn’t in the guides when it was.
This is why I stress not relying entirely on the guides and use observational skills when making the attempt. It’s quite possible you missed one thinking you had already gotten it. I almost wonder if people are skipping the one on top of the log at the beginning. It could be that they read part of the guide that explains a group of baubles and miss the others mentioned.
I’ll also add that if you record your run, I’ll be more than happy to watch it and figure out which one was missed. It could actually be a bug but its difficult to know without seeing the attempt first.
