I have it. Maybe I should dye it blue and see. The shoulder pads clip with the shield though.
If the armor looked like the weapons then it would look like TRON.
Supposedly you don’t get credit from those baubles if you use the whip instead of a key. If you’re going for the achievement then don’t use the whip.
I’ve never bothered to do this in a group. Do you get credit if you don’t make it to the cage/frog to tag it? I’m assuming no but want to make sure.
He dressed as a princess to trick everyone. I bet the kidnapping was staged! This way you would farm baubles to spend in his shops.
It is very much solo-able. In fact, if you’re planning to do speed runs, solo is the quickest way to do it.
The music in Zone 2 sounds like the music from one of the NES Castlevania games.
One of the hidden areas also sounds like Mario Bros 1 when you go underground. It’s the hidden area with the two water geysers you have to jump.
It was either that or take a screenshot. However since I was at work, I was not going to hop onto the forums on that computer.
Did you go to the next zone?
The argument was about which was more efficient. To be honest, people should do what they find enjoyable. If they hate zone 3 then they don’t have to do it.
The point we’re trying to argue is that you won’t save time by doing only zones 1 and 2 because then you’re spending more time creating characters.
I’ve attached a sheet that assumes you start a character from scratch on both scenarios unlike my previous example. This creates a more realistic example considering you’re planning to use an extra character slot to farm. I have character creation until end of intro personal story at 4 minutes.
As you can see is that it takes 80 min to do 4 complete world runs. It takes 84 min to do 6 complete zone 1+2 runs. This difference widens the more runs you do. There’s a correlation between the time it takes to set up a character and the time it takes to run zone 3. I can tell you that it’s very possible to run zone 3 quicker than 6 min.
No it’s not.
Let’s assume it takes 6 min to create a character and go through the intro personal story. Let’s assume that path 1+2 takes 6 min and all paths take 12 min. Each zone gives 2 bauble bubbles.
Doing all worlds 4 times yields 24 (6×4) bauble bubbles. The speed run takes 48 min (4*12) and the set up time for the character takes 18 min (3×6). This is a total time of 66 min.
Doing zone 1+2 to match the total bauble bubbles you would earn doing the entire world means you’re doing 6 runs. This yields 24 (6×4) bauble bubbles. The speed run time is 36 min (6×6) and the set up time for the character takes 30 min (6×5). The total time is 66 min.
These are the only things that are variable. If it takes longer to set up the character then doing the world is better. If it takes less than six min to set up a character then doing zone 1+2 is better. I’m pretty sure it takes more than 6 min to set up a character as most intro personal stories take longer than that.
EDIT: I neglected to consider the extra two times that you would have to do should count so there’s an extra 3 min.
It’s whichever one is before the poisoned water.
There is one as you’re rounding the corner to the checkpoint near the shop. It’s a small alcove that can easily be missed.
Go to the thread I provided and click the link for zone 2. You’re looking for #21.

Why not include zone 3?
There’s one that has you go into a shop
You don’t kill anything and just run. Slingshot allows you to kill the bosses quicker. For zone 2 you take the worm shortcut. For zone 3 it’s difficult to describe but you want to travel through from above in the trees.
Account bound.
You’re better off doing your daily run through world 1 to get bauble bubbles rather than farm baubles. With 5 characters that’s 30 bauble bubbles for world 1. A lot of people can do world 1 in 10-15 min.

One time use. You click the item and then select the weapon to apply it too. It’s like transmuting but you don’t mess with the stats. You can transmute the skins, but like all transmutations, you lose the weapon.
You probably missed a shop. One of the hand indicators pointed into a shop.
This can all be found on dulfy.net but I wanted to post it here since a lot of people are struggling. All credit goes to Dulfy and those that helped contribute. Be sure to send them your thanks for all of their hard work.

Go to dulfy.net and look. It’s easier to point you there than list them all out. Plus there’s pictures to help out.
Need to complete it on normal I think.
There’s people that had it Sunday night.
Congrats though.
One can be sold on the TP for a lot of gold while the other can’t.
There were people who got it Sunday night.
You can’t say the dungeon is dying based on observations alone and that it’s perceived to be too difficult. You’re forgetting a ton of people are farming chest events.
Just saw the video for a time of 10:40. I guess the sling shot helps a ton.
He’s probably not counting downtime between zones.
Dulfy.net has a video showing you how to do it.
The achievement states in a single run.
I’ll also add that dulfy.net likely has a visual guide up by now. Everyone and their mom should have the title by the end of this weekend.
That’s Zone 2 and it’s a shop that counts as a hidden area. You get back up by jumping on the log and following it around to another log that leads to a mushroom that you can use to jump back up.
Baubles are the currency in SAB while bauble bubbles (just checking and I was calling the second part wrong) are the currency for the npc outside the sab
I was disappointed with the lack of effort required to get them.
Either way I will reiterate this simply because I wish not for this post to be looked at like me hating the event all together: I like the Super Adventure Box.
aaaww come on, some effort is required to get them.
for me, it takes about 10 – 15 mins to get 2 baubles baubles.
that would be 250 – 375 minutes or
4.167 hours to 6.25 hoursnot exactly lack of effort to me.
When you get more comfortable with SAB, you’ll be able to do all of world 1 in 15 minutes for 6 bauble baubles.
2nd checkpoint with the hidden area behind the waterfall, did you get the two up on the leaves right above that area?
If you’re doing baby mode, they’re to the left of the rainbow
I noticed it when I had a key equipped. When I dropped it, and stowed whatever, everything appeared.
It could be caused by picking up a key while having the bomb ready on slot 2. When you un-equip the key, the bomb is on slot 3. Equipping the bomb and stowing it should fix it.
Anyone want to verify this?
You also have to go to the next zone to get it.
I might use Infantile Mode to explore at my own pace, then later play with groups once I’m more confident.
You do not ever need a group for this. I just wanted to point this out so you don’t feel forced to play in a group to enjoy the content.
At the beginning of zone 1, there is a tree that you have to climb that has a bauble.
You can do world 1 in about 15 min once you know the correct/efficient path to run. You can easily get all of the skins you want before the month is over.
You get like 10 baubles and maybe another 20 from the honeycomb. I could be off on the numbers since I never paid much attention.
You can do the entire first world in 15-20 min which will net you more baubles.
There’s a thread on this topic already
I got a precursor from a hidden spot in zone 3.
APRIL FOOLS!
I don’t see the point in grouping up. I doubt it’ll be faster since you’ll normally have to wait for someone to get to the end before you can engage the zone boss. The first world can speed cleared solo in about 15-20 min. If you take into consideration the amount of time it takes to form a group, do the run, and downtime from waiting for stragglers; solo is faster.
This happens every single month. Someone decides to wait until the last minute and then comes on here and complains when they miss the monthly. The monthly has reset at the same time every single month since release.
Kill things… use key to open box… There will not be a quicker way.
Take for instance a guardian I took with me in HOTW last night… We started with path 2 and he died just so much… And we laughed about it and made jokes his response was “All you other classes are still squishier than me” So for the next run I kitten on over to the retrainer switch my traits and come back for path 1 face tanked everything while the guardian was just kind of dying… His response was “your still squishy” And so yeah… That is my snippet on how MF just kind of screws everyone in your team over.
How is this relevant to the argument against MF? Unless you knew 100% that he was wearing MF then you can’t use this in an argument. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t see why MF should be used in dungeons since most trash mobs are generally skipped but you need a better argument. For all we know is that he was just poorly traited, had terrible gear, did not know how to play the class, or any combination of those.
And It also affects the loot that other people in your party get because the tables spread more in your favor.
Incorrect. Loot that you get has no impact on loot that others get.

Personally I still believe that it’s one of the easier dungeons. I also fail to see why an introductory dungeon has to require no effort.
You have always needed some form (or amount) of DPS for the mounds otherwise you’d get swarmed. For the defend collectors, it’s not any different than before. The same groups that struggle on these are the same groups that would struggle on these pre-revamp. The only difference now is that they’re blaming the dungeon rather than their tactics/gear/etc.
The fire rings being thrown in random places gets annoying but that just means you should always fight near them. As far as for path 3, many people stack up on the column that is along the slope. This way when he knocks you back, it’s pretty much just a quick knockdown.
One weak link will not break a group. It’s only when you have more than one or members are sub-par. It’s not that difficult to go online and do a quick reading of how to do the dungeon.
