The first moment I faced an arrow cart in wvw
When I hear about players taking on 2 players at a time

This isn’t much different than say using EOTM as a karma train
Well desolation players die so it’s about same.
I had some nice duels with a few deso players last night (my time, early afternoon their time) . 4 of them versus me. Rather than mob me, we duked it out 1v1. Was quite pleasant. I don’t normally pvp and haven’t played wvw in a very long time. I was going to do the JP but duking it out with them was more fun.
This practice rewards players who aren’t participating in the fundamental action that the rewards are derived from. Its cheating and absolutely unfair to players who work to receive the same rewards.
This is something that’s against the ToS in almost every PvP style mmo, though I’m not sure if it is against the rules in GW2. Very well should be if it isn’t.
Edit: I’m not sure if this is referring to Structured Player vs. Player, or just any Player vs. Player game-play in general, but this is an excerpt copied directly from the Rules of Conduct for GW2 –
—22.While participating in Plaver-vs-Player (PvP) gameplay, you will not participate in any form of match manipulation. Match manipulation is defined as any action taken to fix or manipulate the outcome of a match or alter or manipulate the rankings or ratings of the ladder. This also includes disrupting other people’s game experience by not actively participating in matches in good faith, a.k.a leeching.
This doesn’t violate the rules of conduct as it’s not a match thus how can it be match manipulation. If the two sides were manipulating the overall wvw match then you could argue that. This is a naked brawl in the obsidian sanctum which has no bearing on the greater wvw fight. The players still have to fight each other, even if it is just AA spam, to get loot bags.
This isn’t much different than say using EOTM as a karma train
I was so sad that I missed this. I’m in the guild too and I just wanted to be part of the hilarity of a mob of naked guards smashing at each other. The loot would have been largely secondary to me
I kinda want to ask Anet to slightly mod his behaviour so he uses his smash attack more often :p
I pulled the boss to the group of players stacking behind one time, It was bad and funny at the same time. But on more serious note: Azrael, you would go with option 1?
No, I’d go with option 2 or a variant thereof. Hamstringing players is not the way to do it. The average pug in SW has no situational awareness, so unfortunately it’s down to those of us who do to drive the event towards success.
Look look… My point was obvious….
The charrs stand like they can’t handle their backs up straight. Do you even lift Rhytlock?
Their posture is poor like in Undead(WoW) but with charr model instead. So I have to play with, like furry monster that can’t stand straight because his/her head is too heavy or? o.O
Seriously, WHY Kodans are not walking like bears then or halfly up?
Come on! You can do better ANET… Put them UP STRAIGHT and you did something good with them for once.
I feel like shriveled when playing my Charrior…. Im dead serious -.-
Um, you might want to Google some images on polar bears. If you’ve watched any documentaries on bears you’d know that they can move on their hind legs. Just watch any video of a bear fight.
When a cat stands on their hind paws, their back is curved.
[img]http://kes.wimp.com/images/thumbs/2010/04/f2ad422795b12dd02fcd96f4102dc22c_cat_1316_866.jpg Now add the mass of upper body muscle that you would see on a body builder while still retaining the ability to run on all fours plus fight while standing on their hind legs
Charr posture is weird because they have the hind quarters of a cat but the upper body of a human. From a weight distribution perspective, they need to be hunched so the weight is centred correctly.
Anet has done a spectacular job giving Charr the unique running animation of a feline combined with HUMAN fighting stances
It would have been vastly easier to just put fur on a hominid body, give it a cat head, make it look like the unholy demonspawn of a cat and human crossbreed and do away with the whole running on all fours thing.
If I wanted cat cosplayers, I wouldn’t be playing GW2

Hmmm I remember threads about
“People should be to get high level rewards from achievements and not just buy them!”
and now we have
“People should be able to buy the reward as well as getting it from achievements!”
sigh
What people seem to miss is that every class can fulfill at least 2 roles by itself.
Let’s look at basic zerk warrior
All signets – Pure DPS
With Shouts or Banners (FGJ!, SIO!, Discipline and Strength banners) – Support / DPS
With certain utilities (Throw bolas, Fear me!) – Control / DPS
or perhaps Zerk thief
D/D – All out DPS
S/P – Control / DPS
S/D – Control / DPS
and so on.
Sorry, but Towelliee is wrong. Trinity would have made GW2 a cookie cutter MMO
Certain bubbles will just travel to the middle of the arena and pop by themselves. At least 2 will move towards the Husk. I’ve commanded Husk a few times and most of the pugs will just camp on the safe spot. A few players will go down, including myself, to hold his aggro and try to keep the bubbles away with fear and whatever else all the while keeping him close into the scrubs in the safe spot. (I’ve had fun with this sometimes by drawing him onto the safe spot and he unleashes his massive overhand attack hehehehe)
The average player cannot be relied on to know the mechanics. Pretty much all I ever see at husk is “NO AOE, NUBS/SCRUBS/NOOBS” etc. but those yelling it have no idea why and they have even less idea that there are ways to get around it.
I kinda want to ask Anet to slightly mod his behaviour so he uses his smash attack more often :p
The ammount of cc and/or immob needed for them to work just makes most of the self rooting melee skills useless.
Hence, High skill and high reward.
gs warrior completely useless anyone can dodge 100blades. If you plan wasting utilities to cc the enemy they still can just stun break and walk away.
GS warrior does extremely high damage. Wasting utilties to CC the enemies is what should happen.
churning earth takes so long to cast that you will never land that in a 1v1 if the enemy knows how to dodge.
Churning Earth has a Cripple pulse. It also have a big AoE ring. Which means it is intended for team fights, not 1v1. Not every skill has to work for 1v1 situation.
The few self root skills that work are the ones that have inherent stun or immob in the same skill or weapon set. Like pistol whip that comes with a stun and blurred frenzy that has the immob in the same weapon, making combos easy.
It also come with a cost. The fact that you become a sitting duck. Players can focus fire on you.
When was the last time you landed a complete 100blades in anything other than a pve boss that sits and eat the dmg?
The GS/Longbow Warrior build is a viable build. I played a bit and I was able to get a lot of HB down on enemies. Opening with Bull’s Rush + Hundred blades allow me to get a high burst damage on the enemies. I can also use HB on downed enemies to make their hp go down and also get the resser’s hp down. If the enemies dodge out of the way, it isn’t a big deal, HB cd is only 8-10 seconds.
But to answer your question, the last time I landed a complete 100blades was 3 hours ago when I was playing with the GS/LB build.
This +1
Although I’m mostly a PVE player, even I can see how powerful HB would be in PVP and why it must have a drawback to its use.
A good PVE example is COE when fighting Subject Alpha. You risk eating his massive AOEs when channeling HB, but if you catch the break between his AOEs you can pull off a full HB.
You might argue that the Ranger rapid fire doesn’t root you but it also only does at best half the damage a full HB does.
I’d say my success rate is at about 80%+ (totally qualitative). Don’t seem to fail all that much when I’ve been doing them. EU OP
I made a few tweaks to up the offensive side of the build.
It moves a few defensives options around and ups condition damage more

I’m going for my 4th run but rather than doing it all at once like I did with my 1st char, I’m doing it as I need transmute to charges xD
I personally take Shake it off. It’s saved me too many times when I’ve been knocked back while on platforms to count. (I’m looking at you harpies fractal) I’ve bound it to a thumb key on my mouse and my reaction time is fast enough that I can pop it up as soon as I take the first bump on the ground. Because of the animation when your char hits the ground, you insta-pop back up and can get back into the fight.
Losing points in strength is a far bigger DPS hit than you get back from Empower allies. You lose berserker power which at full adrenalin is a flat 15% increase to your damage as well as 100 points of power. If you’re running with a sub optimal group, the small buff from Empower Allies isn’t going to make up for the damage you yourself could be dishing out.
o/ I’m a sad cookie that I’m on EU but play in Australian eastern time =(
i foresee a flood of " LFG AC Kohler toss" pugs. I read somewhere that it’s possible to get into the Ghost eater chamber from the other paths. So potentially a “P1/2/3 Kohler toss, bring drinks”.
This would be awesome while playing drunk in game.
I don’t understand… you’re saying that you’d rather mobs can be killed by autoattacking (which is already very much possible) because having to use your entire set of skills is boring? But… that’s the opposite of boring?
And I don’t think the challenge aspect refers to normal, non-special mobs, just to the extra-freaky new stuff. And even if it were, I wouldn’t mind that much, it would make the zones very different from what we know from basegame.Besides, cooldowns aren’t that long, unless you mean elite, and that’s just whining.
Its actually not the opposite of boring if you have to do that for every single mob you encounter in the zone. 10 mordremoth hounds in front of you , each require you to 1v1 them one after another because you have to use your whole skill bar to kill one. That’s boring.
There has to be varying levels of difficulty and repetitiveness to keep the game fresh and if every mob requires you to do the same thing then it will be very boring. Just saying.
I know that all normal mobs in the game right now can be auto-attacked to death when you are level 80. That’s perfect IMO. Normal mobs should stay the same. Only Veterans up to champions should get a rework.
Not entirely sure what you’re doing 1v1ing wolves. I attack whole mobs of mordrem on my sinsiter power/conditionn necro and burn the lot of them down with condition bombs and melee attacks or death shroud. Short of getting cross charged by teragriffs none of the mobs in their are that hard provided you’re prepared. Taking on whole hordes of mordrem is more interesting than the mobs in any other map. You have to use your whole skill bar and not just on CD. I have to pick my position and time the epidemic bombs to get maximum impact. It’s very satisfying unleashing 25 stacks of bleed on 5 targets, watching the blizzard of ticks exploding, not to mention all the conditions from Signet of spite and blood is power.
You pick your fun way to play and I’ll do mine, thank you very much
kitten I’m sitting on 95% luck, it’s crazy grindy to get that high. Seeing your bag it’s like WHAT THE HELL DO YOU DO BESIDES PLAY?! Do you like live in silverwastes 24/7 or something?
Most players do not have 100-150 luck. Most are most likely sitting below 100%. Only few people that play ALL THE TIME have hit cap. You’re forgetting most players are almost always under 100g.
I’m on about 160% without having bought anything from the TP and that’s from only playing a few hours each night and not all of them in one place. SW is pretty much the best source for items for luck. Fractals is probably the second best. My way of doing it has been collect enough to go up another 1-2% then fire off an artificer craft run. Oh, my liquidity sits at about 410g atm :p
Makes me glad that I’m commanding reasonably competent players and few trolls. Ppl tend to respond, when I’ve been commanding at least, when I’ve asked for them to rain fire on the mobs to defend the lane or when I’ve asked for ppl to reinforce the other lanes.
I hope Anet fixes this so it doesn’t infect the EU maps that I’ve been playing in
Ran a CoF2 last night on my warr with some pugs from Baruch Bay just for the hell of it. They had 2 necros, a guard and a ranger.
The number of times they just mindlessly stacked somewhere
1. 3 Flamer spawn at start, they stacked to one side of the door, I aggro’d all of them with bladetrail then dodged through them and attacked from behind, forced l’espanols to come out and fight.
2. First burrower spawn, they stacked against a wall to pull the burrowers, I aggro’d again forcing the spaniards to come out and fight in the open.
3. Prison champ, stacked against the pillar. I aggro’d him out into the middle of the chamber, spaniards forced to come out and fight again.
4. Smokers at bomb door entrance, they stack against the wall and got promptly nailed by the line AOE attacks. I aggro the mobs out so they can res, fight them in the open.
Mindlesss stacking in the corner, overcome by aggro. Didn’t even get kicked, they were probably wondering how we didn’t wipe at least twice.
Whenever you read or see something on the news that makes you angry, the sound of a Charr activating Signet of Rage goes through your head. True story
I been using Corsair’s wireless Vengeance set. Really good quality and no noise.
Either of
1. Reduce from 100 bolts to 50 bolts
or
2. Reduce from 3 scraps to 2 scraps
would be viable options.
However, with some thought, the relative abundance of the other materials for the ectoplasmic refinings means that there should be some mechanism to consume more of those materials. Mithril, Thick leather and Elder wood are all available in great quantities. To whit, I think a compromise to address the imbalance may be feasible
1. All of the ectoplasmic refinement base materials, mithril, thick leather, elder wood increase to 75.
2. Mithril ore required to make ingots should go up to 3 (it doesn’t make sense that iron and steel ingots require 3 ore but mithril ingots only 2 ore)
3. Thick leather and Elder wood requirements stay at 3 base units per refined unit.
4. Silk scraps would be either one of the original options considering its requirement for all 3 armour types.
Although they had it in GW1, personally, I don’t really care about the UI in GW2 as much. It’s mostly in convenient places and the important things are all available.
Also, bear in mind how you had it in other MMOs, is not going to be how a lot of players would have it in their MMOs. For isntance, I’m perfectly fine with how GW2 has set up the interface because it so happens to be pretty much the same as how I had it set up in GW1. Now, how about that?
A customisable UI is a nice thing to have, but hardly game breaking compared to traits, the expansion, skill balance, and more importantly condition game play
I never said that people should have it MY way. I just said it should be customizable. I also never said it was gamebreaking.
And just because YOU had a similar setup in GW1 and it just so happens to work for YOU, doesn’t mean it works for everyone else.
That’s precisely my point. Do you see what I’m getting at? It’s a minor QoL thing that is nice to have but in the grand scheme of things is hardly going to be on Anet’s radar.
I was “making fun of” your comment, if you didn’t catch that.
It’s not really a “minor” Quality of Life thing, it’s more like the game is missing a major aspect of UI design that’s standard in more than 200 other games.
Yes there are more pressing issues at this time, but that doesn’t invalidate anything I’ve said.
It’s one of the major reasons I don’t play GW2 very much, is because the UI is so oddly placed and designed.
what games are those?
In order
World of Warcraft
Prius Online
TERA
Eden Eternal
Iris Online
TERA
WildStar
XD looks like we danced around each other. In all honesty though, about the only thing I would change in the current UI is the position of the minimap. I’d rather it be in the top right hand corner. I’d also like an event notification tab that slid out from the side of the screen, kinda like the Overwolf overlay mouse over. Although some people play with small text to free up more of the screen, my eyes aren’t that good so I play it with the medium sized interface.
For the added challenge, I’ve been running a Sinister necro, with a mix of rabid and sinister ascended trinkets (collecting stuff for the remaining sinister gear), AND commanding Breach/VW runs. Although very squishy, the condition / power damage hybrid spread makes her very effective against all mobs in the map.
That’s not to say a Sinister equipped Warrior is the way to go. A zerk warrior, or zerk anything, must pay attention to their environment because they’ve sacrificed all of the passive defense in order to maximise offence. In most other maps, this isn’t a big deal, but SW offers probably the most challenging environment (relatively speaking) for inexperienced zerkers.
Greatsword is handy because of Whirlwind attack, while Forceful greatsword will allow you to gain might as you attack but you really need to keep up the attacks for that to really be useful. Now the problem here is that your best might + vulnerability generator (Forceful greatsword + Rending strikes) is hundred blades which roots you to one spot making you incredibly vulnerable to teragriffs, thrashers and wolves. Also, while you’re channeling HB, you could get hit by slinger rocks and basher immobilises. Interrupting hundred blades reduces your dps output because your final strike does a lot of damage. Arcing slice is your burst skill on GS and hits 5 targets around you. Quite good all in all but if you’re going zerk, you’ll be taking the grandmaster trait Berserker’s Power which puts a flat 15% boost to your damage output with full adrenalin. It doesn’t combine with arcing slice, so you’ll have to make the judgement call whether you want to use your adrenalin or keep it while you’re fighting. However, the nice extra from Arcing slice is that every target you hit has a chance of granting you Fury, which is a 20% increase to your crit chance, and each hit can stack fury duration.
Personally, I’d go Axe / Mace. A/M drops a lot of vulnerability in a hurry, cyclone axe, crushing blow combined will drop 12 stacks of vulnerability on 3 targets, which other players can capitalise on. Combined with the Rending strikes trait gives you can drop a lot of vulnerability quickly. A number of good traits synergise with axe /mace: Dual wielding, Axe mastery in the Strength line and Dual Wield Agility in the Arms line.
Some sigils combinations are meta at the moment,
Fire and Air is the most common one.
Force and Night is another common one, but Night will only be useful half the time
Other commonly used sigils are
Bloodlust (generate stacks on kill up to 25, grants up to +250 more power resets if you go down or swap out the weapon),
Battle (Gain 2 stacks of might for 20s when you swap to the weapon),
Energy (gain 50% of your endurance back when swapping to the weapon).
Strength (60% chance to gain might for 10s on critical with an internal cooldown of 1sec)
However, it never hurts to look for another synergies thatwork well in Silverwastes but not necessarily elsewhere. Superior sigil of impact will boost your damage against knocked down foes by 10% and this synergises well with Tremor (mace #5). The teragriffs automatically get knocked down for 2 seconds when they get hit by cripple, chill or immobolise. With tremor, you can double that to 4 seconds of knock down. This is a lot of damage that can be dished out with an axe especially if you fire off an eviscerate. For example, you could even go something as odd as Intelligence (next 3 attacks crit) /Impact. Swap to A/M, knock down something with Tremor, then Crushing blow, Eviscerate for serious damage. Good for burst but that’s about it XD
Or another odd one, though I wouldn’t recommend it :p , is Superior sigil of incapacitation/Impact. This would work well against teragriffs. Incapacitation has a 60% chance to inflict cripple on critical, which basically gives you a knock down on them when they charge, impact then boosts your damage. And for real oddness, swap to a second set of Axe/Mace with Intelligence/Impact and do the above.
Typical warrior utilities in other areas are usually shouts like For Great Justice and Shake it off. In SW, you have the opportunity to run other utilities. Throw bolas, Bulls’ charge, Fear Me! and Stomp are all good options for helping with crowd control. At times, the mordrem come in big mobs and breaking them up is very helpful. Most warriors will run Banners of strength and/or Discipline but you don’t have to be bound by that stereotype. If you take utilities like Throw bolas or Stomp, then the Physical Training (+100% damage -20% recharge time) trait in the Strength line is a good option to take.
SW is a good place for trying other combinations with warrior simply because the variety of mobs is greater there
I’ve been getting bucket loads of dust, ore and frags in SW. I’ve been feeding the Star and Mawdrey on a steady diet. Ore is a bigger problem. I toss it out whenever I get a full stack. In SW, there is a steady stream of ore so if I need more for ascended crafting, I can always make some ingots, though I’ve made plenty of those already.
I’ve found that empyreal drops a bit more infrequently compared to dust and ore though. But when it drops, it’s in decent sized piles. I suggest hitting every event, even the smaller “Clear the mordrem out” ones that float about.
Whenever a map restarts and I’m up for it, I run off to a tower with my tag and start doing the defense. At the same time, I advertise on LFG that a new map is starting and I’m going for Breach and VW. People that are interested will flock in. Eventually other commanders will arrive to help coordinate.
Although they had it in GW1, personally, I don’t really care about the UI in GW2 as much. It’s mostly in convenient places and the important things are all available.

There are 3 glowing eye masks, the red and blue ones and the Glint’s one which is green. It depends on whether the Sylvari face one makes has more slanted eyes or not. Mine doesn’t have that much of a problem. She also has the orange hair with yellow tinges, so that softens up the edges a lot.
You might consider waiting for the expansion as there will be new legendary items coming.
Fractals are dungeons with a mix of mystery (cliffside, uncategorised, underwater , old and contemporary historic story lines. They don’t link together and are more for the challenge than anything else. I like them for their randomness
For me dungeons are places I go every now and then. I don’t farm them, but I have done them many times.
The trouble with minis is that they’re only available as rare drops in events, like Mini Tequatl and Hylek from the Tequatl event in Sparkfly Fen, Cobalt, Amber and Crimson wurms from Triple Threat in Bloodtide coast, Risen Priest drops easily from the Lost Orrian chests in Orr. Many others are gem store items so for me I only get those if I think they’re really, really cool. The vast majority are available on the TP.
I’m not into PVP myself. But your gear is irrelevant for it because you get amulets that grant you all the spec bonuses you will need.
WvW is really just large scale PVP, but the fighting does generate bonuses for your server, like extra magic find, karma, gold, XP, crafting bonuses, resource gathering bonuses, etc.
GW2 doesn’t have a traditional end game. Once you get to 80, it’s entirely up to you as to what you do to enjoy it.
For me, I command Tequatl runs on average once a day as my schedule allows, I tag up for at most 3 Breach/Vinewrath runs in the Silverwastes, do some casual flipping on the TP, dungeons and fractals sometimes, World exploration here and there (finished wvw maps last night whoop!), living story achievements. Recently finished the Jumping puzzle achievement, still have things like the diving goggles and explorer achievements.
Some people have very rigid schedules that they adhere to so they can do the stuff they enjoy. I say just do things that you feel like doing as you come to it.
Mistforged hero’s staff or Final Rest are pretty much it
Nope. I wish people would stop asking
You can still zerk it but you have to work on active defense, that is dodging. With a greatsword, you have 3 dodges, Whirlwind attack plus your 2 dodges. Unlike other zones, you just cannot face tank the mobs in Silverwastes. You can more or less do it with even lower level trinkets but it will take longer but on the other hand is good training in active defense
Some tips
#Mordrem Husks have very high toughness making them difficult to kill with pure damage alone. If possible, fight them with a couple of others to take them down faster. Husk Slingers are easier to kill as they only have a siege attack. Husk Bashers use a ranged immobilise then rush over for boxing practice. Dodging this is a must, or keep your cleanse available. The tell on this is obvious but when you’re in melee range you need to keep an eye out of their stomp animation. Conditions will kill them faster so you could leave them to condi users
#Thrashers. These guys can shred you if you’re not careful. Their trail causes Torment but can also cause poison and cripple. They also plant themselves in the ground and spawn tentacles from the ground that can be hidden by armour or big characters. When you seem them plant, switch to a ranged weapon and keep moving. Crowd control skills are helpful against them. They should be targets of priority over husks as they can hurt a lot of players in a very short time.
#Menders. These little guys are very weak but have a massive burst heal that can bring them back up to full hp. Luckily when they’re about to heal you can easily interrupt them. Watch for when they spawn with Husks and take them down fast as they can burst heal the Husks as well.
#Wolves. These guys are nasty if they catch you from behind. Their leap attack does a lot of damage if flanking and cripples. Dodges are your friend against these guys. The only way to fight wolves is with burst. Their attack cycle is slow but they run around a lot.
#Teragriffs bashers can be dangerous with their charge attack but they’re easy to dodge. Dropping a cripple, chill or immobilise on them when they’re about the charge will knock them down. Avoid aggroing more than one. If two of them catch you in a cross charge, they will down you fast and they’ll give each other 8 might stacks for a total of 16, which hurts. The basic teragriff uses a ground explosive attack. They’re easy to see because the griff will stop moving and stick its legs into the ground. As soon as they do, dodge towards them and attack, but watch for more of the exploding attacks.
#Trolls. These guys are really nasty. They’re not exceptionally tough but they spawn lots of moving AOEs that can stack a lot of damage in a hurry. I’ve found that if they spawn on the sand, you can jump up on some rocks and the AOEs won’t follow, from there you either range the troll or wait till they get close and melee them. Be careful that they don’t spawn AOEs on the rocks you’re standing on.
I’d suspect that any new content would be more in line with the existing open world events. Marionette was probably the most challenging open world content Anet has made. Vinewrath is a somewhat easier version, which isn’t to say it never fails but it certainly fails at a much lower rate than Marionette did.
I’d say Anet would go for something in between the two. This is taking into consideration the release of the Wyvern mini boss fights. There’s probably something beyond that like “bring down multiple wyverns while other meta events are going on.” that sort of thing.
I quite like the idea of map wide events. Although in the grand scheme of things it’s just a lot of turn the handle and spank the boss, there’s just enough risk of failure, factoring the average skill level of the players, to make it interesting. Small scale (10 players or so) raid type instanced content is significantly less interesting to me
So what is it exactly about Kasmeer and Marjory that you hate? You should let us know in detail so we can decide how seriously to take your suggestion!
OK, let me explain.
Do this mental excersise: take Marjory Delaqua and swap her for a male, say a daredevil investigator named Marty d’Eau. Now replay all the dialogues between our Marty and Kasmeer, namely the dialogues related to their relationship.
Do you really like their relationship?
From my point of view, with the lesbian glamour gone, we are left with pretty much abusive relationship, which is not much about love, but about dependency and possession.
I don’t know if there was an intent to show a bad relationship, but I doubt it. This prejudice, that only these who are able to do a service to others or, even better, those who are “keeping their loved ones alive”, can get laid, is twisted to the extreme, yet, sadly, very widespread. It is a model of relationship from the patriarchal society, where the wife depens on her husband in everything and is, practically, dead without their kind protection. Like Kasmeer removed from Marjory custody.Usualy when you run into some gender /equality issue (and this game suffers from it) the rule of thumb how to get a good point of view is to mentally swap genders of main protagonist. This way you can evaluate, for example, the relationship between, say, devout guardian Megan Thackeray, who deeply loves king John The Barefoot, and the complicated bond between freeminded adventurer Styr Egalkin and his daughter Beryl Styrdottir, who didnot knew who was her father until she was seven, since Styr let her alone with her mother and did not bother to show up… etc., etc.
I dunno how you got abusive relationship out of this. And the rule of thumb is entirely wrong as each relationship should examined on its own merits. The rule of thumb makes for such a generic analysis as to make any conclusion from it largely meaningless.
Kasmeer and Marjory’s relationship was originally born out of Marjory’s support for Kasmeer. The prospect of loss of each other made that relationship bear fruit. The subsequent loss of Belinda and Kasmeer’s rediscovered strength switched the roles around. Their individual tragedies made their relationship one founded on mutual support for each other.
It’s kinda short sighted to not look at the whole picture

A guardian with shield of the avenger will make life easier, make sure the guard pops the shield right under the shaman and everyone gets in underneath him. If you do it right, you should be able to take out a few of the lava elementals while hitting the shield. A mesmer with time warp is very handy here as well as for extra reflects.
When the shield explodes, the guardian should pop wall of reflection and everyone should dodge to him. Keep an eye on the AOE’s that the shaman fires when his shield explodes.
Being a legendary, blinds don’t work that well on him but they do work. Chaining blinds on him can help during his arrow phase.
Other advice:
Don’t spread out too much
Warriors should bring Battle Standard just in case.
Keep shaman in the middle or his shield phase can get tricky
Rangers should keep pets close on passive. Fern Hound is useful for the Regen.
There is a mastery for pulling wyverns from the sky to hunt them for loot. There was also an earlier intro to the new Defiance mechanic which said that wyverns had a break bar that needed to be spiked down to prevent them taking off and carpet bombing the entire place. I’d say there would be enough challenge to keep people relishing a new challenge occupied and the QQ crowd be told to l2p
This thread is nothing to stick your tongue out at.
When I have time I command Teq runs and on one particular night the chest was particularly generous as there were lots of players with ascended chests, hoards and one supremely lucky fellow who got Colossus. I got another spoon. shrugs Depends on how much importance you attach to a few pixels.
If acquiring these pixels is the be all and end all for you a player, what’s left when they get it and craft that legendary? Personally, I don’t mind the RNG so much. Playing without a goal opens up broader horizons to enjoy myself in whatever I happen to be doing whether it be dungeons, fractals, SW, VW, bosses, Tequatl, Wurm, TP flipping, guiding guildies through fractals, bounties and what have you.
I rolled into Tequatl last night and thankfully only saw three of the things. I dunno what I would have thought if the whole army there was clad in these things.
Can Someone explain whats difficult in It? In being seriously, tib of post whining that the content is too difficult every where… Personally never seen an event fail if not for shortage of people ( like 20 in one entire map) AND that rarely happen, all just autoattacking mind less AND the event will Not fail… Maybe eu had different type of player? Not being rude or sarcastic, just trying to understand :/
It’s luck of the draw as to what sorts of players the map gets. I play in the EU and have had incredibly smooth VW runs. Each boss goes down with a lot of time left on the timer. But I’ve also had serious failures. Then there are the times when people get shunted on to near empty maps with no pips. NA would be the same.

Ok, I’ll give you that one. That actually looks good
Researching/studying Hyleks!
Caught in a landslide? No escape from reality?
I super can’t stand GW1. It’s very disappointing because I want to play it. I need to play it even. It’s the only way I’ll get a raccoon mini and I REALLY want that raccoon mini for my main. But it’s just so bad, and I can’t do it. It isn’t even that it’s hard, cause it really isn’t. It’s just bad.
I absolutely love GW1 but not gonna lie, it’s hard to do anything in it after playing GW2 so long. It can be frustrating not to be able to do something as simple as jumping. But I think if you put enough time into it, you’d get used to it and enjoy it on some level. How far did you get?
Haven’t even gotten out of Ascalon yet. I have a pretty sound Ranger/Necro build that’s all about regen and fights are just boring at all hell. I think I’m level 14, so I’m at whatever part of the story fits that level range. But it’s been three years now, so I don’t know.
The early game is tedious, but once you get access to the Elite skills you spend a lot of time theorycrafting and tweaking. I got to a point that I had a different build for most areas I went in, depending on the mobs there. My warrior was a bit more generic but she swapped between a Dragon slash adrenalin burst sword/shield warr, a W/D scythe warrior, Triple chop/Cyclone Splinter axe warr. My ranger had a wider variety of builds, Triple condition ranger with BA/AP, Splinter/Barrage, Triple/Dual Glass Arrow/Splinter or Brutal, Incendiary/Poison Splinter, Melandru’s condition ranger for Jade Quarry anti turtle duty, Glass turret/pew pew. My elementalist had a few builds Sandstorm Earth, Renewing mind blast, Triple Echo MS, Renewing SF, etc etc
Elite skills opened up a whole new avenue of builds and it’s really where the game begins. Hunting for them was an awesome end game
Well done. I’m building up the courage to go do it for a 4th time XD
I’m working on my 14th time o.o….waiting and waiting til we get to be the next color in WvW and working on everything else in the meantime. 71% done.
Not altoholic enough to have that many chars. Having a 6th character is already more than I would have considered. I may, just may buy a 7th slot and make an ele after my revenant… 7 times world explo…ding head
Mawdrey was rather disappointing after I made it and realized it had a random daily limit of like 3-4 uses. I been often gathering Bloodstone Dust faster than it can eat. It will take months for it to eat everything. I also rarely get anything of real value from it so I don’t see why the limit is necessary: I want Mawdrey to be a gluttonous pig. We’ve yet to get a Dragonite devourer as well so that will be incredibly backed up the time it happens and take forever to feed upon. These mats are still out of control.
Lol, I’ve thrown out twice as much dust as that. I’m just keeping ahead of it now with Mawdrey and not hitting quite so many events, although I’m behind now with 2 spare stacks >.>
Every time I get a stack of ore now, I throw it out. Empyreals feed my star as they come in at a slower rate, I can keep ahead of them.
