What tactic do you guys suggest? The W1-M2 digging speedrun?
I did the math, and for me, the most profitable run is all 3 zones, and hitting the most convenient dig spots in zone 2. I usually end with about 275 baubles. A few tips:
1) Watch a video. You’d be surprised how many jumps and shortcuts you don’t know about.
You mean like this video?
2) Use the slingshot to take down King Toad. You can do it in 2 jewel shards solo, and only costs you about 30 baubles.
I can go one better. I found this out after the video posted above.
Use bombs. Like right away as soon as you jump down to the King Toad boss.
You defeat him in 30 seconds, use only 10 baubles and can literally destroy him before he uses his first tongue attack at times.
My friend can see the the Green version, he has no idea why either the only thing we could nail down was hes running on the MAC beta, are you also running on this if so could that be the issue?

I’m not sure. But I think it may be yes.
You mean. Kind of like a flamethrower ranger?
I usually get them drop and 90% of the time… they’re empty.
Seems like we spent a similar amount of time in there. Though your droprate seems a bit low.
Very nice. You probably have around the same amount though. The amount in my screen pic is after buying every skin I wanted. 3 GS, 1 shield, 1 specter is 250 baubles baubles missing there.

To be honest. I have been farming SAB with 7 characters each day since day 1.
Not for the bauble baubles. But for the rare skins and been making a boat load of gold selling them on the TP. The bauble baubles are just a bonus.
Or are there people more addicted than I am? Show me your hoards of phat SAB lewt! (Yes, gold included from selling the rare skins.)

Watch a bunker Guardian fight a bunker D/D Ele and you may change your viewpoint.
Then watch them melt lickety split when a zerg of 50 rolls by.
That’s a good point someone brought up. Some people are playing on machines that can’t keep up, or have intermittent lag spikes on their internet, or they are living in Australia and there’s sometimes latency issues. I don’t think any of that makes bezerker gear better for everyone.
I live in Australia and have full berserker on my thief. I have no issues. Even though there is a little bit of latency.
I have been trying other stats other than berserker on other classes. But the lack of damage is making me think why did I waste my gold and not go berserker?

WvW wouldn’t exist with out PVE.
I don’t think increasing the AOE limit will fix things. Zergs will adapt and it’ll be who has more people to AOE and turn the battlefield into a stalemate because neither can cross the area denied.
Especially on bridges. Bridge Wars 2.
Deep Glacial Sky dye looks amazing on Guardian!
On the day of my character’s creation anniversary. Perhaps a precursor?
Will Guild Wars 2 have birthday presents like in Guild Wars?
If so, what are you hoping to get in yours?

Red is dead. End of discussion.
You’re not the boss of me!
If I’m running pass you and not attacking you. I’m doing you a favour. Attack me and you’re dead.
Just because its red. Doesn’t mean you should. Only that you can. Freedom of choice.
If you dont go for a legendary, why the urge to spend karma anyway? To get gold…for what? Apart from repair and waypoint cost you dont need gold to play GW2.
To transfer gold to gems for spending on the shop items obviously. Also infusions cost a boat load too.
Right now you don’t even need to be in the guild to activate it.
We got Wolf Run for the 1st time yesterday. We had just finished our bounty, started Rush, and everyone went afk to watch video and break. Once everyone was back and settled we moved over to Harathi to start, come to find out we only had 2 minutes left because some passerby activated it.
We were unpleased….
+1 for people that do the event for the first time to find out what to do instead of simply watching a video with out even trying.
I was under the impression that Winterbite had always dropped from Jormag chest; similar to how Final Rest had always came from the shadow behemoth chest.
Why was Final Rest never looted from Behemoth chest until recently?
I’d be lying if I said I was sad to see this. However, I can understand wanting to move to another server where the queues are much shorter/non-existant and where you can experience less lopsided fights between servers (and heck, maybe even lose once in a while!).
Saw this coming a mile away when they became a super server. Same thing happened with HoD and look where they are now.
SoS seems to have fared better due to its strong oceanic player base after the mass exodus.
I propose an account bound siege cap. One account = 5 siege placements until they are destroyed/disappear.
I’d follow those people any way. Just to spite them.
Just defeated the giant rabbit. Think I’ll stop there.
He’s been doing SAB since the start of April and only just got 250 bauble baubles. I think it’s safe to say he knows how but doesn’t have the time to do so to get another 250 bauble baubles.
shrugs I’d been doing SAB for almost two weeks straight before I found out about those dig sites. Besides, depending on which skin the OP wants taking a few quick tours around zone 2 will be faster and cheaper than trying to grind the gold to buy one in the TP.
Also, unless I missed something the OP should only need 50 BBs, not 250, and that’s certainly attainable in the amount of time left on SAB if s/he only runs the zone 1 & 2 cages once a day until the 30th.
Yeah sorry. Meant 50! Hah.
Nuuu. Don’t come to SoS!
I like my non-overflow world bosses.
Watch this video:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/sab/6000-Baubles-per-hour-Updated-Dig-spots
You can easily get over 250 baubles per run, it goes very quickly. That’s assuming you can’t stomach doing alt runs of the Z1 & Z2 “bosses” for 4 bubbles per char, per day.

I also accidentally the whole vendor.
No refunds unfortunately.
On a bright note. I do have a rare quality super staff skin that I could sell you for a little less than the TP price if you’re looking for one.
The reality is even large guild wont’ use a guild merit for a guild transport. Hack if you are in a large guild, it is usually fill with junk so people wont’ steal things.
So I think people should stop making it a small vs large guild thing.
The people getting hit is really the one using guild bank as a personal bank.
There is a difference between having to pay a price to use it and not being able to use it AT ALL. Small guilds suffer from the latter.
Not sure about any one else. I still play my thief as my main. But too busy farming SAB atm.
The krait getting in the way of the world event farmers….more please.
So you have a problem with players seeking out and participating in world events in order to have a chance at an exotic item? Perhaps you think players should just be pigeon holed into grinding trash mobs for money in which to buy such items on the TP, or “farm” dungeons for dungeon currency… perhaps you think players should have less to do end game as opposed to more.
Think before you speak next time please.
Wow, that is a lot of supposition there.
Perhaps I think that all the World events should be harder and involve more than just showing up, perhaps even making players invest time in the areas they occur? Nah, I just want all the stuff you said instead.Oneshot boss abilities != challenge
I have no clue what that reply is about. If it means you think I’m for “one shot kill” boss abilities, I’m not. My post is about people being upset that they actually have to deal with something besides staring into the sun while waiting for a world event spawn. Are the krait harder? Yep. Do professions have the ability to deal with it? Yep.
Is loading in to your dead body fair? Nope.
GW1 main: Ranger/Monk (post-searing), Monk/Ranger (pre-searing).
GW2 main: Thief.
Insert paper clip helper
“I see you’re having trouble leveling with thief?”
Have you tried:
Sword + Pistol off hand. Smoke + auto attack combo? You’ll faceroll your way to 80 unless you run into dredge.
I guess people who don’t want the krait toned down like dying when they use waypoints or the ones who lure them there.
I picked up one for the utility. Didn’t know it had an effect until this thread.
We are the 99%…
…wait.
Way pointing to Splintered Coast Waypoint is a death sentence when the krait event is up. By the time the zone loaded for me, I was dead with a bunch of others next to a champion krait using its AOE attack.
Please fix this.
The game lacks a lot of depth.
If they had things like player/guild housing, actual guild vs guild, an enjoyable WvW map, balanced PvP systems and classes, and a s/tPvP system that wasn’t totally isolated things would have a little more player interaction. But the way things are right now, if you don’t like WvW you’ve got nothing to do all day.
World Boss events, dailies and SAB seem to occupy my time. Or else I would be in WvW.
A shame we don’t have more of this in game in Guild Wars 2. It has the ’you’re playing an MMO with a vast land scape’ feel to the music.
Only thing that comes close is the overtune played at character selection screen which is not played in game.
Then there is of course the Super Adventure Box music which is good for different reasons.
My best is 4 drops in a 24 hour period.
Usually though. I run 7 characters through a day and get zilch.
Have dragons spawn randomly 3 times a week. Fights take half an hour at minimum. Have loot dropped be exotic at the minimum.
There. Epic dragon fights.
I found this on SAB when I fell through the map lol don’t recall seeing it up top at any time
That’s the new game over screen.
You mean Lord Vanquish?
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-
I used it in the first month of GW2. But then found out about more useful utilities and haven’t looked back.
The fights will be more interesting after April. At the moment SBA farming is dominating the scene.
Wait, don’t tell me that hard mode means the whole floor gets covered in lava, and you can only move around by jumping from platform to platform?
That is evil and awesome.
Orrrrrrr… You have a limited time to get to the end and lava rises.
And hard mode will be there for that niche within a niche who have good ping and want to punish themselves.
Well puppy. Guess that means Aussies and other Oceanics can’t do hard mode.
