Having a single zone with mounts is rather useless. The main reason for mounts would be to use them across the world, not sit with them in a single zone. That said, I’d like to know what valid counterargument there is to having mounts in this game. Excuse my ignorance in this regard, but all I’ve ever seen said is “there are waypoints, so we don’t need mounts” and “this game doesn’t have mounts, so deal with it”, neither of which are strong arguments. Either way, the final decision of this game’s development will be decided by the creators, not us, so I’ll let it be what it is, but my stance will countinue to be in support of mounts for this game.

I think the single best counter argument, therefore, is the consistent and unanimous consideration of the Devs that there will not be mounts as a thing. All Mount related threads are deleted because there will be no mounts. All Mount related threads are dead horse sticked because there will be no mounts.

How about one valid argument for why mounts should exist. All I’ve seen are, “Cause Mounts,” and “Cause other games Mounts.” Both obviously poor arguments.

Interesting never saw anet never want implement mounts. Do u have a link please would be nice.

But must admit rebuilding lions arc is a good chance to implement housing.

Also instead of garantie housing u can buy a house at a certain area with a certain view?

Skipping is fun and challenging . No need farming mobs like in open world. Arah p1 to the tar is very nice to skip that and u learn about ur class.

Ur idea make ppl don’t complete dungeons but they will farm the start of certain path again and again

Make only one zone with mounts. Only one this one has no wp and events and challenges extra for ppl with mounts. Mount speed is 50% with mount related skills.

Like charge with gives 100% and attack skills for every class the same but maybe maybe class specific looks. Deadhorse for necro. I see the irony… And a fox for a thief bull for warrior and so on.

So the world Tyrian live mountless just one only mount zone in game. Also u can buy mounts on the gemstore ofc.

I did one in wow many years ago. Aura was a nice program sometimes I wish we could design the ui ourself via addon but then again I like the simplicity how it is now.

Would be neat if each of the NPCs had their own culturally relevant nickname for our characters. “Boss” sounds like something Marjory would say, Rox seems like the type who would use the “commander” title, Braham could say “champ”, while Taimi and Kasmeer… I can’t really imagine what they would use.

In a group setting warrior dps is nearly always better. A ranger is conditioned to solo play from the get-go because of his pet that absorbs damage. That’s why he usually has two bears, a longbow, no spotter, and no frost spirit. Rangers need to understand that group play is nothing like solo play. everytime i see signet of the hunt I see this person is not interrested in supporting his team.

I also believe that often players who read guides on the internet copy playstyles most popular is warrior atm means people who look up choose that too.
The rest of the player choose what looks fun and Ranger looks more fun then Warrior and in a non dunguon enviroment ranger is more fun

warriors just have better team buffs thats why individual dps of ranger is higher

and guardians out dps warrior too

ur melee dps is higher then a warrior

on topic I was also playing a ranger since i played one in a other game, and Im a little bit unhappy with the few options to control my pet. also I was hopeing i can hunt my pets and tame them in a hard way. getting them is to easy in the game and takes a big fun out

for example i port to LA bcs i wanna go to the forge

Ppl must get realistic about expansion. Just look what happen for anet, they open to Chinese market. Selling an online game in a land where u other mmos download for free.

Wow was for free u only paid the time u played but updates expansions all for free. And since many Chinese player sell gold for playtime the game was 100%free for them.

Now look. Gw2 buy to play plus VIP membership which includes a monthly fee.

Anet want china and us play same content.

So how u can tell Chinese customer 2 months after release to give money again for a game they just bought which advertise as free to play?

Let us buy auras. A flame smoke shiny ghostly electrified water icy whatever aura which work without having anything to it.
No weapon no back piece needed just the aura.

Problems there are already so many effects from gear and weapon

Solution maybe do it like the wvw hero weapons which are not shiny but can be enchanted with a certain effect. Just try it as well for armor.

Good effect more gem shop for u and more individual armor design for us

I do the mace archivment ATM and must admit is not bad dps . Is also very relaxt to fight with. Just so slow it makes me feel my guardian lift something very heavy.

About shield anet can we have the warrior shield skills ? I love having a weapon for skips like that
