Well, this thread uses the word ’Vitriol" in epic proportions. Oddly though, I have rarely heard this horrible QD chat that some of you all keep referring to.
Any new players will probably be heading for the exit soon after they find out what the traits system is, and why they won’t have any.
I would postulate that most low level players that you encounter are just alts that will end up buying the traits with stockpiled skill scrolls and gold. That’s what I plan on doing anyway.
Oh forgot. I saw several toons with the ANET shield thing over there heads at the QD Train Stops many times in the weeks just before the patch. I assume that’s what got the poor spider demoted. He was never really a champ anyways.
I’m guilty of using the train to quickly tie up some daily/monthly stuff. If SB is around I’ll jump in that zerg too.
When I’m passing through QD, I do all I can to help out the low lvl folks I see struggling. I’ve helped kill that Skill Point Bandit guy more than a few times (seriously, the Bandit Queen is easier to take down) so they could pick it up for completion.
I did solo the Bandit Queen once. She spawned right on top of me while I was selling some junk to the merchant up there. I went “WOOPS!” and dodged over the side just ahead of the furious zerg.
I’ve relogged. It still wont do anything but show me buy/sell listings (and probably deliver stuff if I go to a TP in person, but it still allowed pickups while it was in maintenance mode so, I doubt that’s changed)
“Error attempting to sell”
angry Char Is quaggan still sick? Can I just run the store while he’s under the weather? I’m an honest Char!
Eh, honestly?
Yeah, I’m a big salvage freek as well. Thx 4 reminding me of deposit. I usually just sell the junk as I go.
TP is a separate data base. Gem Store and Exchange isn’t on it.
Shows where they allocate resources eh?
No, just that they put three different systems onto the same overall front end interface. Would it be any better if the Gem Shop and exchange had their own interface triggered by their own icon and/or key?
The bottom four tabs relate to the TP with it’s servers and it’s own database. Nothing to do with allocated resources. There been times in the past where the Gem Store went down while the TP remained up.
They should hire you. You so calm and me so not. Just wanna sell some stuff and empty me saddle bags a bit.

Oh yea gem store works great.
Xackly
Actually cashed in some gold to buy Mad King. Only outfit I have and pleased with da purchase.
Can’t wait for Halloween lol.
Heh, glad I bought some xtra bank space.
Isn’t it great that you can still buy stuf like that even tho TP down?
I would like it if I could use dyes on my female toon’s underwear. The defaults are just so ugly.
And also, the freekin boxers on the human males just look so wrong.
Would you prefer the tighty-whiteys?
Mostly it’s the fit. And I still would like to be able to dye them : >
There’s a few of those Toxic Alliance npcs in most of the zones I’ve visited.
Rescue the siege engineers and etc.

I prefer male characters.
As a female player, I feel empowered by being able to play a strong, capable fighter. Running around with my breasts flouncing around and my skin exposed does the exact opposite—makes me feel like I’m just a tool for some 14-year-old nerd’s pleasure fantasy.
It’s easier to make a male character look strong and capable— it’s not a constant struggle to find something that doesn’t flash my breasts or show the shape of my bum. So, for human-like characters at least, I tend to make males. It’s just a lot of frustration off my shoulders. That said, I did manage to make a female human guardian who looks quite tough. I used the biggest female body, and found armor that adds a lot of bulk to her frame without drawing attention to her breasts or her bum.
Roll a Norn Female. They look more masculine than human males.
Lol – I’ve seen real players play like you described!
Yep, maybe they saw me.
Heh, OP must never have played Warhammer Online.
Before they made it more ez mode, that grind from 40 renown to 100 was epic.
The end game quest to get the chest piece for your WF armor is still the dumbest thing I’ve ever done in an MMo.
Problem is they accelerating the end times hence reducing overall potential profit
Only makes sense if the juice isn’t worth the squeeze currently and they want to kill it off.
History shows that the squeeze can last for some time before the lights go out.
At this point it should be obvious that they need to steer veteran players towards the gem store. Seriously, up until now, they pretty much let you play for free once you bought the download.
But I agree that the current trait system is not going to work as intended. It is going to make new players frustrated, and cause veteran players to just sit on their 80’s unless rolling a key run or whatever.
It is amazing to read some of this stuff.
Games age and die pretty quickly. The over riding concern for any mmo’s dev team after the honeymoon period, is to squeeze as much money out of the player base as possible before end times.
You know, it’s a job, not a community service or religion. Like everything else in our capitalist society, it all comes down to profit.
Hello darkness, my old friend
I’ve come to talk with you again

Some may not get the song reference.
I will save lots of money because I will only play my 80’s from now on, and they pretty much are equipped the way I want them.
Consolidating servers has the smell of death to it.
Yes, the game I played before this died soon after server mergers. My toons were moved 4 times in the last 2 years of WHO. In the end there were only 2 servers (North America and Europe). I sort of suspect that mega server is a kind of sneaky way of cutting back on the number of active servers.
Of course I could be mistaken.
Good to see ANet doing the right thing instead of the popular thing for once.
LOL, the popular thing is what keeps the populous logging in.
