Currently the whole game has about 20GB so I can’t imagine the expansion be larger than ~3GB (probably much less)

Sentinel and assassin you can get the accessories from the dungeon collections.
Lets hope for more trinkets combinations with HoT, I also would like some Valkyrie ones.

Only the Video card seems a kitteneap compared to the rest, look for at least a GTX 960, the rest seems really good, and put the GW2 on the SSD is great, the loading times between maps and instances reduces drastically.
But with that setup you’ll get over 30 FPS for sure anywhere except very crowded world bosses where you’ll get under 30 no matter or what.

I really don’t know why that topic got locked, I can’t see any reason besides “too much truth”.

I wanted to add a pet, but it must be fully evolved. I wanted to add other heroes but they must wear special hard to get armor.. already had to level two characters to level 10 just to get two tapestries.

Make a PvP ranger toon and you’ll have a lvl 20 pet, then add it to the Zaishen Menagerie and tame it with the toon you have access to the HoM, if your toon isn’t a ranger just make it whatever/ranger and tame it.
If you bought the GW trilogy you’ll have access to M.O.X , it is a hero that you can add without the need to special armor.

I’m sorry I missed the part where no more changes are allowed after HoT goes live. Besides, more BWE’s does not mean better mechanics or even less bugs. Dragonhunter has had the most beta availability and yet the still get “line of sight” errors on flat ground with no obstacles when the target is obviously within range.

That is precisely the problem.
DH still have issues and they had more development time to fix them, our fear is that Druid and Forge will be released on live HoT with several bugs and during that time we’ll be competing with the other fixed/polished elites on live server, that is a time we’ll never be able to get back, while in beta nothing will be stored anyway.

I remember reading a dev saying that they want to add such tool but it is harder than it looks, I won’t be able to find the post because it was LONG time ago and as you noticed, the forum search doesn’t work.
But yeah, we had that in GW1 (not change in 1 click but change build was extremely easy from a list you could save) and many players would love to have it in GW2.

You didn’t missed a thing, BWE2 is an update on BWE1 content, so things was just adjusted/fixed, nothing was removed.

You created the beta characters before you unlocked the dyes right?
If so, consider your beta acc as a 2nd acc and anything you do in your main acc won’t affect the beta acc and vice versa.

Not really, but in game one of your chat tabs is called “Combat” there you can customize the damage log you want to see, like damage dealt, damage taken, and everything is separated by it source, like it is showed in the image:

Pets do not pull aggro.
Except when it is in guard mode and either you attack something or when you press F1 while targeting something, the pet itself doesn’t pull aggro at all.

Yeah I used all my lvl 20 scrolls getting BL keys, and soon a couple lvl 30 scroll and the last one for my rev.

True, in that case drakes and canines are the 2nd best DPS, because canine and drakes have the same power and precision, what you’ll need to pick is if you want the canines CCs or the drakes cleave/tank.

Drakes DPS is really good, behind only felines and maybe birds, but it cleaves and tank a lot, I never leave home w/o one

Currently the other build that offer equivalent DPS (maybe even higher) is an axe/torch sinister build.
Your damage will come primarily from burning with torch + sun spirit + flame trap and from bleeding, but imo this build has a very boring playstyle since both your weapons will be the a/t (a/nothing + nothing/torch equipped) to take advantage of the on swap sigils and traits.
For a power build anything else than s/a will be a significant DPS loss.

The difference from ranger and thief is that the last wasn’t announced by Anet employees that the weapon would be a rifle, it was just player speculation since the beginning.

Hopefully not, because healers are useless in this game, I don’t want druids to be only viable in raids and totally useless anywhere else.
I want that druid be at least good support, that way it becomes viable anywhere.

Firstly, I know you are dyslexic, but you could use a dictionary in your browser to indicate the errors, since english isn’t my mother language, I fix small errors with it.

Secondly, if you put your pet on passive it won’t aggro anything, so you can walk among mobs w/o problems, but all in all a permanent stow would be nice for JPs and some dungeon mob skipping situations.

Oh I see, yeah a stick would make it more visible for sure, and this topic sure needs it.

I’m pretty sure they can use, since nothing is mentioned about it in the FAQ.
Yeah, you can use guild chat, just not guild bank at all.

They can “see” every chat, but they can’t “write” in /map /squad (till lvl 30) /Whisper (unless both are friend)

This could work VERY well for the gw2 ranger I believe.
Take away the pet, increase damage (as the first minor in the druid line)
And then give us 2 “aspects” as our new proffesion mechanic, where you slot in your two pets of choise and you can activate their abilities yourself)
You could slot fern hound for extra heal, jaguar for a short stealth, eagle for some bleed.

I think it could work quite well, and would in my opinion fix a lot of the problems rangers have with pets

Explain how the traits/skills that affect the pet would work.
Shared Anguish and Empathic Bond would transfer the cond for yourself?
Fortifying Bond would give you 2x the boons?
All the stat bonuses from Beastmastery would go for the player?
SotP would give might 2x for yourself on attack?
What would “Guard!” do?
Among many other things.

Well, yes they mentioned the name and the weapon, nothing else, just like they mentioned engineer’s weapon (hammer) but nothing else.
By officially announced I mean an article like the other elite specs had.

I’m Brazilian and my ping is around 180ms I played a fair amount of PvP matches with every class, and the only one that I couldn’t play effectively was the thief, the steal/blinks combos was just impossible with that ping and that is the core of every thief build, any other classes you’ll only not be able to do a couple combos.

In the end guardian, necro and eng were they classes I could play the best in pvp, ranger and warriors also goes pretty well, ele, mesmer and thief were pretty hard.

After my calculations, the possibility of any of those elite specs not being released along with HoT is 0%
But the chances of they not be the way the players wanted and/or have obvious bugs rises considerably.

Because it is in beta.
During the betas we don’t need to be disappointed at all, we just need to give the needed feedback.
If druid sucks at live game then you can be as disappointed as you want, and I’ll be really disappointed too and move on with rangers in general.

Yeah, if hunter’s shot pierce your target and hit something else you’ll get out of stealth.

I see that you are quite a new player (at least in the account you are posting), so my suggestion is to lower your expectation by a lot when dealing with those classes, it will prevent a lot of hurt later.
All I’m hoping for Druid is to make us a desirable option (not need to be the best) for at least 1 game mode (PvE, PvP or WvW)

• Fishing as suggested many times and people usually like it, I also agree it would be nice.
• Housing was also suggested A LOT, and I think that Guild Hall will alleviate a bit that need and if it works well we may get player housing in the future.
• Mount wouldn’t fit GW2 and a just cosmetic one feels even worse imo.

Well, you are basing those dates from info from your head only.
They are announcing thief elite + challenging group content + extra stuff (based on their tweets) all in the same week.

Don’t forget that the engineer’s elite “Forge” also won’t be in that BWE.

There will have extra BWEs for sure, the BWE1 and 2 in that article was just to explain the continuity of the beta characters, not that those will be the only ones will have.

But the part that ranger and engs will be the ones to have the least tuning time from feedback I agree.

I’m in the same boat.
I crafted my asc heavy set after the BWE1 and I would like to test with it and with some other gear and runes that wasn’t in my bank at the time.

Yeah, I don’t remember any info at all about a fixed number of BWEs …

I couldn’t find the link, but it is just like Horus said, macro for instruments is tolerated (read, you won’t be banned for that), but macros in general aren’t allowed.

Yeah the pressure for the Druid is huge.
I’m usually very optimist, but this time if Druid doesn’t stand up in any game mode (since currently ranger is the only class that isn’t in any meta) I’ll quit my ranger and just play other class, I have ascended gear of every weight and all classes at 80 anyway, switch won’t be a problem at all.
Druid doesn’t need to be the best at anything but at least have something that makes us a wanted option and not just acceptable if nothing else is available.

WOW I’ve never read a post with so much entitlement, it deserve some kind of reward or something.

It is a sure bet that tons of new achievements will be added with HoT.
Anet need to add stuff for players to be able to get the full hellfire/radiance sets, currently there aren’t enough AP to get them, even if you also have the impossible APs from WvW and capped the daily and monthly APs.

But yeah, not many players are 3 years old and still plays, and I doubt that among that small group many was actually saving gold to buy any of those fancy dyes, so the market that the 3rd birthday gift removed is much smaller than you can imagine.
Sure the value will drop a bit, but the profit margin of that insane inflated dye will still be insane high.
