The thing is that this weekend we’ll be able to actually play and not just theorycraft builds, so we can’t answer for sure because sometimes a good idea may not be actually the case in practice.

Well … I see people asking for GW2Frequency for dungeons now, and for a very difficult content with weekly rewards I won’t blame a raid leader wanting a full asc party and I’m sure that such scenario would happen even without that tweet.
Also, PuG raid is asking for failure.

So OP need to pay attention to:
“Last boss should be full asc” and one of his replies “Agony resistance is not required.”
So asc won’t be required, they are just really expected.
It is just like saying a dungeon/fractal requires a full party, then we see several videos of people soloing those.

Older rangers are very aware of that because before the WH update that made Call of the Wild a blast finisher, drakes tail swipe was our ONLY blast finisher available.

I think the rate of building celestial force will be decent, because most of the time we’re healing and doing damage simultaneously. we’ll find out in a few days.

My fear is that if you don’t build to heal, then maybe you won’t get enough celestial force, I saw tons of heal with staff and some glyps, but what if I don’t want to use staff? What will be my sources of healing? So in the end druid may end being go healer or go home and that is all I don’t want, being pigeonholed in 1 role/gameplay.

Just by getting to lvl 80 you’ll have points enough to unlock everything.
But we don’t know how many you’ll need to max the elite specializations when hot launch

Except for frost spirit, all others have an internal cooldown, can’t remember for how long though.
So it has 75% to cause burn when it is off CD, that is why in practice it is less than 75% uptime.

I hope that Raids are extremely dependent on heal, like A LOT, otherwise water ele, guardian AH and eng healing turret will be better options in a raid since they can heal constantly in a nice area and still have damage.

I agree with the OP. Endlessly pessimistic posts aren’t going to encourage Anet to communicate with us. Any dev that might consider posting here knows that if they do they’ll just get spammed by a hundred “NOT GOOD ENOUGH!” posts and more complaints that aren’t even related to the original topic the dev was responding to. We’re really just hurting ourselves at this point.

It happens because the devs let it reach to that point.
If a dev posts here, obviously TONS of posts will pop with all subjects you can imagine because we know that it can take literally over an year to get another dev post around here.

I know that you read and even wrote your opinion in the ranger CDI.
That is the result of the devs asking for our opinion and even so they didn’t have a dev to give attention to that topic besides the Community Manager and she tried her best to make that topic work, but even so we showing in there all our problems and giving TONS of constructive suggestions (among several ridicule ones …) barely anything changed.
In other words, seems that the devs aren’t sure what they want the ranger to be and in consequence players also don’t know exactly what they want.
Other problem is that the core of our mechanic is tied to a quite bad system, the pet, and since the devs stated that ranger is the pet class, we can’t do much in that field besides complain.

EDIT: Rangers aren’t “Debbie Downers”, we are just tired.

I don’t think that ele is the most popular, even though it is the best class.
Warrior and ranger are the most popular classes for sure.

BTW, Besides the graphic card the PC with the i7-6700 CPU is still better, faster CPU and faster RAM and a great SSD , for GW2 you won’t notice the difference between the R9 380 and R9 390 but it is more likely to feel a difference between the i7-4790 and the i7-6700, besides the i7-6700 is ready for the DDR4 RAM and it will be much cheaper to upgrade in the future.

In PvE, yes it does.
In PvP it won’t make much difference since you end using LB for its utilities and RF.

I actually want a long range staff that just like ele, guard, necro and mesmer, aren’t penalized by using it in melee range.
For me that is the main problem of LB, its damage is only good at long range, if you get at melee range LB is nearly useless.

What is the difference of armor salvage clicking and weapon forge clicking? So change armor drop for weapon drop changes nothing.

Also, you want to hold tons of blues and greens weapons to later try to forge into rares and then those rares into exotics and maybe have a small chance of precursor … yeah sounds like much less clicking and more practical than salvaging armors on the spot.

You would still click the same amount, but with that metal and wood materials would drop in price while fabric would rise even more and leather would probably rise a bit.

There is no GW2 Linux client, so even if you have Linux you would need to install a copy of Windows in a virtual machine to be able to play.

If you change the stats then it is a DPS increase for sure, but if you keep the original stats then the higher base attack won’t make up for the stats loss.

MahouKami, from the 2 options you showed the 1st one is much better.
The i7-6700 is a beast (and GW2 is very CPU bound), has 2x the RAM and imo the R9 380 is better than the GTX 960.

That setup is a sure bet and will last you for a long time, the i7-6700 is the newest CPU family, in the future you may just change the GPU and the CPU for an K series and you’ll be updated to whatever comes in the future.

Hopefully you’ll lose by reason #2
