(and the other 8 elite specs maxed too)
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
You need to buy the recipe, it can’t be discovered.
EDIT: For the exotic weapons ,like the one you are trying, you need the Exalted Sword Core (for sword) and will result in an Auric weapon.
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
Zealot for sure.
With Cleric you’ll force the raid tank to rise his/her toughness to be higher than yours, while with Zealot you can allow the tank to lower the toughness and focus on more DPS.
Also, your personal damage will be better since Zealot provides 2 offensive stats (power/precision) while in Clerics only power and both gives the same healing power that is the stats you are looking for as a healing druid.
Revenant’s best build for raid IS full zerk, you like it or not, rev’s DPS is amazing and you do it while providing a lot of boons, that is why we are in a great spot for the DPS role.
A mix of valk and/or marauder among the zerk pieces only creates a safe net for mistakes, with the cost of DPS.
For healing druids and tempest can do a much better job.
Cond builds revs are so far behind that it is not even funny, eng, ranger, berserker, dh and ele are better options.
Tank, now that can actually be an option (even though not an optimal one) but still you could do it with full zerker, since all you need is more toughness than the rest of your team, so with Glint’s trait that grants tou per facet you can be the tank.
So, if you want to go with other builds besides DPS or maybe tank, all you doing is making raid harder for the other 9 players in your team.
Yup, it works exactly like evilkuja said.
Also, the collection item dropped by the treasure mushroom is guaranteed, so in the worst case scenario (you have all 9 elite spec unlocked and want to do the tempest collection) you only need to kill it 9 times, personally I killed over 15 for sure, so you won’t have any issues, specially now that there are more players with Nuhoch 4.
Yes they will return for sure.
When? We don’t know.
- Windows 10
– AMD FX 4300 processor
– 8GB memory
– 1TB HD
– AMD Radeon R7 240 GPU, 2GB memory
– Stock CPU cooling and stock PSUOther considerations:
– I don’t have the time or interest in playing any other games right now, so I only need to meet the requirements for GW2.
– I already have a Ultrawide monitor (2560×1080), mechanical keyboard and a gaming mouse. The only thing I need to spend money on is the PC.
– I have a spare 120 GB SSD I can install to run the game from.
* And most importantly, if this won’t be a significant improvement in performance over the Macbook, I can wait another 6 months and save up the money for a better machine.*
I don’t think it will handle High settings well enough, you may be able to run at high, but the FPS won’t be that good, I’ll guess will be around 35 FPS at high settings (maybe less at 1080p)
You seem to have a really good monitor and keyboard for a kinda bad PC :p
Been looking to upgrade as well, anyone know about this MOBO?
GIGABYTE G1 Gaming GA-Z170X-Gaming 7 ATX Motherboard
Looks like a high end MoBo, so if you are not thinking in doing OC and manually fine tuning it may end as a waste to buy such MoBo, but if money is no issue then go for it.
I also don’t see any drought and I have over 1k laurels.
How many sets of light, medium, and heavy armor do you have?
1 of each
Out of those armor sets, what stat sets are they?
All zerker.
How many ascended weapons do you have?
2 staves, 1 LB, 1 GS, 1 sword, 1 WH, 1 dagger, 1 axe and 1 focus
Out of those ascended weapons, how many different stat seats do you have?
Axe is assassin, 1 staff is Sinister, rest zerk
Ascended amulets, rings and trinkets…?
Boy I lost count.
1 full zerker set, 2xzerk/valk ring and acc, soldier set, sinister set and cavalier set
Infusion in your ascended gear?
Yes, I use the WvW ones.
Well, there is this topic Show your rangers here, you like it or not Druid is a Ranger
I know that your company does not put much into keeping a professional demeanor(every piece of footage I see from events has anet people in t-shirts and ratty jeans), but at least you dont have to seem like amateur game designers.
What?
Developers in general doesn’t follow any dress codes, they wear whatever they feel more comfortable with (I’ve seen a company with a developer wearing jammies because he felt like it), and that happens usually because clients doesn’t see them, depending on the company not even the Sun light see them haha.
But back to the main subject, yeah they need to separate skills into PvE and PvP more often, we currently have skills that works differently between modes but it should be used more.
I spent $100 to play HoT, druid was a small part of that and Reaper, Herald, the new maps, the story, Guild Hall and the raid compensate the druid by a huge margin.
Go play a new class Darkness, DH and Berserk are great with LB, DH as power build and Berzerk as cond, while rev/herald feels quite similar as melee ranger but better in every way.
BTW raids requires about 3 cond players and ranger is among the best and can bring sun spirit and improve a lot the damage of everyone in the raid and druids are also great tanks, you don’t bring much DPS but differently from the other tanks you rise the DPS of the others while you tank and self sustain.
Any ascended weapon or armor can be used in the stat change recipe, no exceptions.
You get 3 points just for linking your GW1 account with the GW2 account.
EDIT: https://hom.guildwars2.com/en/#page=welcome
If you check the link, you’ll see that 3 points is the minimum for any account.
The Pale Tree is less than 250 years old, in GW1 we could see the small tree near Ventari that would grow into the Grove and the Pale Tree later.
Elder Dragons are several thousand years old, Dwarven scripts and tomes relating previous dragon awakens proves that they exist for that long.
EDIT: At least the Pale tree we know is ~250 years old but other “Pales trees” may exist, who knows?
(edited by Belzebu.3912)
You only need to have more toughness than the rest of your party.
I saw a video where the tank was a reaper in full zerk gear, but he had toughness from traits while the rest of the team was zerk/sinister/viper so only with traits he was the highest Tou, therefore the tank and the Vale guardian actually followed him.
The problem is with tank gear you could just lame out all the content and win, even if it would take 3 hours to beat all bosses.
What could happen is rise the timer a bit (I think the timer is fine for Vale, I can’t say much about the rest) but a timer need to exist.
Our skills are good. We have played the game since the beginning and have over 14K AP each. and we each have at least one legendary weapon crafted with full ascended armor and weapons.
Have played since beginning means nothing
Over 14k AP mean even less
Craft a legendary and full ascended means that you can get gold in game, no skill involved.
(I also play since betas, have a legendary and 3 full asc sets, over 21k AP, and I can’t guarantee my skills)
Still, the difficulty is to high in our opinion. I have seen others on this forum and other with the same complain . I am trying to propose a solution to a key question.
“CAN ANET ACCOMDATE BOTH THE PLAYER THAT WANTS AN EASIER CONTENET AS WELL AS ONE THAT LIKES A HARDER ONE ?”
Nope.
Raid was created with the hardcore/top skill players in mind, everything else in the game was made for the casuals.
Seems that in GW 1 that was possible. Why not in GW 2 also ?
I think that would allow all players to enjoy the game at the level they want.
That’s also makes better business sense fro ANET. Why turn away people form the game if you can accommodate them ?
Boy! you are so wrong.
Domain of Anguish and Underworld was HARD, very hard and Underworld in specially was very punishing, you fail 1 event you are kicked of the stance, it started to be a bit more doable after many power creep increase with expansions.
Also, I have a question for the OP or anyone else who knows:
– I noticed that the blue group only had 3 people. Do you not need 4 people to stand on the lightning circle during the split phase?
The green AoE from the Blue Guardian only needs 3, the green AoE from the Vale guardian is the one that requires 4.
Revenant seems to fit your needs well.
Sword is the best DPS weapon.
Staff is the support weapon and rev can be good at support if you want to.
Revenant’s elite spec Herald has a great support and DPS.
Gameplay is very easy but to be great is quite hard (more than warrior and guardian imo), you need to keep managing your energy and swap legends to maximize DPS and support, but if you want to be lazy and keep at the same legend you’ll still do well at any situation.
I’m not really sure at WvW, but in PvE and PvP they are really good.
I like the look of heavy armors, so … yeah, that is a matter of personal taste.
They removed 2 Trams Charge from the track and added Shard of Glory in its place.
snip
Martin.
Seems like you are trying to use pure glass cannon gear/build but you don’t have the skill to do it.
You are wearing full zerker/assassin gear and doesn’t have the skill to use GS block and leap on time, also no cond cleanse/stun breaker in the right moment. If you want to go full glass you need to be perfect on your reaction times.
Depends on the other 9 players …
If there are no healer then go as healer (rev may be better at that), if you only have 1~2 cond then go as cond (guardian is better imo), if you have a healer and 3~4 conds then go as zerk guard/rev
It’s toooooo strong now, just take Natural Healing + We Heal As One! and you can build full AF in under 10 seconds……
Not sure what to say maybe nerf the amount of AF you get from Healing. I do like the idea of being able to build it differently now.
We sure are used to not be good or have things easy.
A necro/reaper also can build life force VERY fast and imo DS/RS is much stronger since it last for more, gives many more tools and it is an extra life bar.
IMO the current state of AF generation seems balanced, we have the 10s CD to enter CAF again, we lose 1/2 of our AF if we leave early, and AF doesn’t count as 2nd life bar.
Yes: https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Ascended_equipment#Changing_attribute_prefix
EDIT: Amazing isn’kitten
Fastest way is to get exotic viper insignia and use the Mystic Forge ascended recipe to convert it.
Well, how about a full condi cleanse, stun breaker as well as 3 seconds of stealth and superspeed every 10 seconds?
Somethings gonna get hotfixed, and soon…
It is a matter of choice:
full condi cleanse, stun breaker (instead of healing allies when you use a heal skill or staff reduced CD + daze)
3 seconds of stealth and superspeed (instead of perma swiftness or glyph CD reduction + seed on glyph)
For a “selfish” PvP build is may be good, but for a support build it doesn’t even matter much.
All in all druids got buffed.
You need a target now to use Solar Bear, but with action camera or in battle it is not much of an issue, but still an inconvenience.
On the other hand regen and SotW generate AF, and that alone is A LOT, you can now even think in heal/support builds that doesn’t use Staff
You don’t need to join groups at all, you just need people around you.
If you are just doing the HoT story then you really don’t need others, if you are playing to push the map meta events then you need a map with many players but you don’t need to be partied or communicating with anyone.
By the way, before HoT the story and PvE in general is extremely easy, a very few things could be considered hard, like some LS2 achievements.
Have you tried to not go full zerk/glass cannon build? Also use the LFG tool and join an organized map, there are plenty of taxi when the map is starting.
If the map isn’t near to reset and you want to do a Hero Challenge, that is the only thing that I can imagine that can require you to look for help, but still there are several Challenges that can be soloed.
I know racial skills becoming a thing is just a highly unlikely fantasy since Anet kinda ignores their existence, as they do with everything they don’t want to fix. (spirit weapons, thief traps, pets,…) I was just curious if more people would like to see more Asura golems or Charrzooka’s around.
btw do Revenants even have Racial skills?
1 – Racial skills aren’t broken, they just don’t work as you wanted.
2 – Revenant/Herald doesn’t have access to racial skills.
Anet really doesn’t want that to happen, from the beginning they say that racial skills were made to be just a flavor and never be on par with class skills, that way you are not “forced” to make a Charr or a Norn, for example, to have the right warrior build.
Also the seeds from Verdant Etching proc Grace of the Land so the party almost always has stacks of it, even if it’s just 1 or 2 stacks.
OH that is nice to know, that info alone makes the build a lot more useful and also justify the use of some of the glyphs instead of other skills.
I sure gonna give this build a try, sounds like a great support and not much DPS loss compared to the regular zerker ranger.
I think you need to discover the recipe first, go to the discovery mode and add both items manually and see what happens.
This is basically what I’m running currently in dungeons/fractals, maybe raids.

Without staff can you build AF enough to justify the use of Grace of the Land instead the other GM traits?
Free account can’t post here
Are you using the 64 bits client?
If not, I strongly suggest.
There must be a way (I can’t really affirm since I only tried with the mastery), but it is probably harder and time consuming.
Many adventures rely on mastery, like the Bugs on a Stick one that pretty much requires updraft.
Also, in the videos I watch they are able to just go right through the poison vines with and without the shield (default skill 1) yet I try that too and die.
Poison Mastery, I think it is the Itzel IV
Question 1
Do I need more than exotic gear to go through all the level 80 zones (i.e., ascended)? Are there lots of dynamic world events in these level 80 zones and what are the rewards?
Ascended is only required for Fractals above level 10, besides that it is just a bit more stats, also you can get some ascended trinkets with laurels, those are what makes the most stat difference compared to exotic.
But with full exotic you can do any level 80 contend with easy.
Question 2
If I decide to try dungeons or fracturals, is there some kind of LFG finder (kind of like WOW) to get started? Are they newb friendly to complete? Is exotic gear enough?
Press Y -> in the left there will be a Looking for Group tab.
Question 3
What is Season 2? Should I buy it? I read up on it on the wiki and the descriptions are a bit vague. Is it just a single player campaign (like my own personal story I went through)? Are there maps and dynamic multi-player events (that a mentioned I like so much) in Season 2.
Yes it is like the Personal Story, but better in every way (story/mechanics/rewards) you can solo everything in there if you want.
There are no new areas, they are just instanced events that are placed in areas you have access, mainly in Dry Top and Silverwastes.
I recommend getting it, it is not only fun but also have good rewards and several achievements tied to it.
Question4
Should I go for map completion? What are the rewards? Can I do partial map completion without jumping puzzles (don’t much like them); I do like the heart quests though.
Do it if you want, the main reward for 100% map is the gift of Explorer, it is used to craft legendary weapons, besides a tittle and a cool little star in front of your character name :P
All in all, map completion is just a goal if you don’t have anything else to do.
Question 5 – the big questions – Heart of Thorns
Now knowing what I like in a game (map exploration and big spontaneous events in the world) should I buy Heart of Thorns? Are there dynamic spontaneous multi-player events in those areas, like in the rest of the world.?
I read that the mobs are hard. Is exotic gear enough? I also read you need to group up for mobs and especially for hero points. Is this tough to group up? Do people naturally migrate to help out with the hard npc’s, as I notice they do throughout levels 1 to 80?
As a Guardian, would it be hard to get my Elite spec? Is all the fuss about this spec just about using a bow? Is it worth it? I’ve been going around the map a great deal and I am sitting at 65 extra hero points at level 80. Though I think I may still need to fill in some old skills to get full completion and thus move onto my elite?
So many questions
HoT maps are all like Silverwastes but feels so much more diverse, if you like map exploration and dynamic events you’ll LOVE HoT.
As I said in the 1st question, exotic gear will serve you well even in HoT maps, but you’ll end getting ascended stuff naturally with the time, don’t worry too much about it.
Guardian is a great class and its elite spec (Dragonhunter) is really good, also you don’t need to get DH fully unlocked to use it, with 65 points to start with you can already enjoy it as soon as you enter the HoT maps, also the Hero Points there all give 10 points so you’ll fully unlock them in no time.
The old client will update.
Actually if you were playing GW2 recently there is a big chance that you have HoT downloaded already.
especially when I can directly compare a Druid to my Reaper and LF is SO MUCH EASIER to both obtain and maintain. At least 3 trees have some form of beneficial effect on LF… Druid, none.
That is because Reaper was created with Necro in mind and creating synergy between them, while Druid is a healer strapped into the Ranger.
The item may be soul bound, if so you can’t trade/send it.
What item are you trying to send exactly?
I think what you are searching for is the Zap and Bolt skins, they are very clockwork-y but those are the precursor and legendary swords, so it won’t be exactly easy to get.
To buy the same stuff that she used to sell, speak with the Master Chef near the cooking stating in LA.
I also spent a while looking for milling basin to buy until I decided to look what the master chef offered
I think you are looking for the shield that you get completing the herald collection, that shield is the shiny one.
Or … you know … could read the stick official post in the top of this sub forum: Alert: In-Game Mail Scams
With hammer as 2nd set you can get a nice heal under pressure.
On shiro just use the heal, move away from the damage, switch to hammer, cast #4 , keep auto attacking, you’ll get 2 sources of healing per hit and you’ll be in long range and will be blocking projectiles and above all that you keep DPSing, can it be any better?
The druid shoulder is detailed and well thought? Yes
Is it good looking? Nope.
To be fair, I have only found the reaper skin to actually deliver. Chrono shoulders are okay too but the rest are kinda ugly as well.
DH gauntlet also looks good, too bad it is asymmetrical like Herald’s shoulder, otherwise I would use both.
Also, the game has been P2W for a while now. You can pay tons of money to get your crafting up, and then tons more to get ascended crafting materials, sans the BoA materials that are fairly easy to farm.
You don’t know what P2W means, do you?
P2W is when the game sell something that you can get ONLY by buying from shop and it offers an advantage.
For example, a service where you get better drop rate only if you buy gems as you suggested, it would be P2W.
Your examples are ways to make those items faster, there is even a thread of reddit a while ago of a F2P account that crafted a full zerker asc set (he crafted a sull sinister by playing in SW and then converted in the MF).
@OP: Your wonderful facts fall when you consider:
- Condition duration focus make fights longer. A longer fight means that you’ll have to tank more damages from your opponents. Also, the next wave can spawn before you killed the previous one.
- Cleanse cancel Condition duration. So all your extra damage vanish. These two reasons explain why Viper > Sinister against non-cleansing foes.
The thing is that Viper also has higher direct damage, so in a cleansing foes situation Viper is still better than Sinister.
edit version
“Two handed weapon attacks have a chance to grant fury on hit and 5% extra damage. while weilding a Greatsword and spear those skills recharge faster”
Fury(3seconds) 50% chance (5seconds icd)due to the beam on staff.
That trait already have a 10 sec CD
s/a + hammer on rev plays extremely similar to a LB + s/a ranger. You can bounce back and forth and enjoy both professions.
That was exactly what I did, and the happy thing is the only legendary I crafted for my ranger was the axe, so yeah, pure win for me
Currently I’m not playing my ranger because I’m unlocking all the elite specs (just need to finish Berserker, Tempest and Daredevil), but Revenant (specially Herald) feels like an augmented ranger, s/a gives the damage ranger can only dream for and sword #3 and axe #4 makes you clue on your target like ranger sword does, balance the Glints facets and swap to shiro for burst while you have the option to swap to hammer and still offer some CC and great ranged damage AND party support all in 1 package is all I wished for.
