Legendary = Remarkable enough to be famous; very well known. Celebrated or described in legend: a legendary hero.

What is Legendary about the steps that is required to obtain this item exactly? Do you think that people will be amazed at these accomplishments? I personally don’t think Arenanet understands the meaning of the word Legendary.

I believe they ran out of time. They didn’t have enough time to do what they initially wanted with Legendaries and just threw a couple of ingrediants together and voila. Theres your Legendary. Took them 6 minutes.

I’m not talking about a single guy, I’m talking about following their zerg and killing them with significantly fewer people and them not responding at all as their comrades die.

I always go a semi-tanky shout support build in pugs (unless i’m farming cof) because I don’t trust pugs and I don’t want to spend omnom ghosts to keep myself alive in zerker gear.

You seem to think the people you’re playing against care about PPT or the score. I know maguuma does not give one kitten about points, they just want to fight people, which is why they are fun opponents and why you are not.

Enjoy your promotion to tier 1 where people evidently care about the score.

In an organized zerg you can be any class and be useful. In a pug zerg, ranged classes with escapes are the best so you don’t die when the pugs do something dumb like run into a bunch of cannon fire. When I switched from my necro to my ele, I noticed I got a lot more bags, most likely because my AoEs were doing a lot more damage. Remember aoe caps at 5 targets (which sucks) so things that look cool like necromancer’s epidemic aren’t nearly as impressive as they seem.

1. jerky, laggy movement where he outran a character with swiftness while he had no swiftness
2. after dying he reappeared (literally he materialized in front of us) within ~15 seconds even though his server had no wp anywhere near that close

I got 4 or 5 people who saw him to report him for “botting”, which is I guess the closest thing. Just makes me mad that someone can even do that in game.

You’re “complaining Anet” about what players do? Why, exactly, do you think this makes sense to do?

The price of precursors are controlled by the player-created demand curve and the soft cap that the mystic forge creates. Unlike a manufactured product in the real world, ANYONE can manufacture a precursor. Dusk is priced highly because players value it more so than the other precursors. But no matter how highly valued it becomes, it can still be produced in the mystic forge, and after a certain price it becomes economical to do so.

This is not complicated.

My ‘theory’ happens every week when someone tries to list dusk for 750+ gold and nobody buys it before the lister is undercut.

If you really play 8 hours a day, 50g a day is not hard to make with certain dungeon runs. You can do the runs with a friend and ask him to lend you the gold he makes from those dungeon runs and then pay him back later. Or you can sell off some of your stock of ectos/crafting materials to afford the purchase then farm them back later. Maybe it’s not desirable, but it’s doable.

So the casual player will just have to wait until the price hits the point where people decide “i’m not paying x gold, i’ll try my luck in the forge” and then buy it when it reaches that point. Or preferably, when someone decides to deeply undercut that point and make a quick sale. Legendaries were not intended for ‘casuals’ anyway, they were intended to give people with nothing better to do to have something to work toward.

I bought my tooth frostfang for 318 gold 2 days ago. Since then, the 3 others that were listed have sold for 319, 320, and 340 gold. Then, there were no teeth on. Then, someone put one on for 599 gold, hoping to capitalize on the lack of current listings. Since then he has been undercut 4 times and the current price is 445 gold.

The price does not ‘go up and up every single day’.

I said ‘more economical’ not ‘guaranteed’. If you want a guaranteed one, you buy it on the trading post with gold you earned by playing the game. See how that works?

Or you could just work harder like the other people who have their precursors/legendaries. You are not a special snowflake.

It’s not hard to farm gold. And there’s a soft cap on the price of precursors because after a certain point it becomes more economical to craft rares and throw them in the forge. Everyone who wants one will get one eventually, but because it takes time and patience you see three threads every day on each subforum complaining about one aspect of the legendary process or another.

Takes 60 seconds to find a wurm mob and dodge it’s rocks. Why does this ‘achievement’ need a dissertation associated with it?

Favour of the Gods was changed back in 2006 (I think), which extended it when someone maxed a title track.

I know. Still, in it’s original implementation (when obby armor was actually impressive to have) you had to rely on other people to win PvP so you could get your shiny PvE crap. In GW2 you can grind whenever you want.

3 day matchups for 21 days and then back to one week. Or just leave them at 3 days. One week matches suck by wednesday anyway.

Calling Mag a zerg server is an insult to actual zergs

“playing for 2nd/3rd place” implies any of us are actually playing. At least in my small guild, most of us are PvEing, leveling alts, or farming karma in a nearly empty mag bl.

Joined the puzzle today, killed 4 people from 1 server, then 3 people from the other server came and chased me away. Fun was had. Don’t remove the puzzzle from wvw, remove the dumb badge requirement from the legendary so carebears stop complaining.

I currently play in Tier 1, Anet have announced a rating reset and likely my server will fall to tier 3-4-5 at the end of this week as we are in a hard struggle. We will fight on.

It is likely three different teams will be in tier 1 at the end of the week. I will congratulate them and fight on.

Next week we will fight again and if good enough we will move up a tier or two.

If we earn it we will return to tier 1. Not a fan of the reset but it is just a new challenge.

It won’t be a challenge though, you’ll be a tier 1 server fighting tier 5 servers. It’s just a minor hassle.

Which seems to be in agreement with what you said about SBI finally getting “stabilized.”

With all the unequal matches previously (whether due to population shifts or whatever), it’s clear that the prior ratings weren’t correct.

The current ratings are a hell of a lot more accurate than they will be for the next month if this reset goes through.

you just named the 3 assassin classes. They are all fragile classes which using kiting and trickery to negate damage.

I will admit though that the stealth ability on the mesmer and thief is complete BS. I don’t have a thief but I do play a mesmer and it feels cheap. At least with mistform you know where they are going. Why Anet hasn’t allowed people to knock players out of stealth is mental. At least reward the player for guessing right.

It has nothing to do with being good. It has to do with there actually being people online. Currently, we’re outmanned on eternal at 7:30 eastern time.

For someone from kaineng to say “stop making excuses” it’s like the USA invading iceland and then asking why they didn’t fight harder.

- Maguuma – has to go to bed and work in the morning
- Dragonbrand – first server you have fought that actually has an asian presence on it

Sooo, it’s Anet’s fault that you all transferred to a low tier server to stomp, but you’re also OK with the stomping because Kaineng has a happy-go-lucky attitude.

Pretty sure any server would be OK with 4 weeks of free badge farming. But I guess you have to actually kill people to get badges though, so I’m not actually sure what you guys are so happy-go-lucky about. Pathological need to see the map painted green? Unmitigated hatred of doors? Power to turn forum tears into a renewable energy source?

Obviously you don’t want to be in tier 1, because in tier 1 they have enough players to fight back. You can’t farm karma from an entire server’s borderlands if there are people defending it.
