DB doesn’t outnumber kain at any point in time. Our strength was our night time, and yours is twice as populated. We struggle to barely hold in eternal while you have enough men to take all of Mag’s BL. I cannot fathom how anyone could be proud of kaineng. You stacked a lower tier server who did a good job advertising themselves and now you get to stomp for weeks. Grats.
I hope next week is DB/Mag/some other evenly matched server, but since they’re resetting the scores I doubt it’s going to happen.
Just took back our (db) keep in eternal awhile ago, and all I saw WM do is portal bomb. Sometimes they would portal bomb right on top of me and I would die. Sometimes I would be to the side of the portal and I would shoot them and get some kills while they retreated back into the keep after having killed those in the direct path of the portal. After each portal bomb me and the others who died would just stream back from the spawn and join up with the survivors.
I think it’s pretty boring gameplay.
step 1: get a guild of 40+ people
step 2: get them to use all their invisibility skills
step 3: run into pug zerg and spam melee attacks and aoe
step 4: collect lewt
bonus points if you do something clever like portal around the side of a wall

I should be able to block treb shots on my warrior if I use shield stance and jump in the way. That would actually be fun.

I’m in tier 3 and on every day that isn’t Friday 1-2 borderlands are completely vacant of people from my server. It gets even worse the lower you go. Too many servers, not enough wvw players imo.
HoD/ET had months of terrible matches and they didn’t do anything. They aren’t going to do anything now, either.

nobody ever asks me to see my gear, nobody asks me to bring certain skills other than to coordinate banners. this whole thing is a nonissue. i don’t see why there needs to be three threads about it.

I just got one to crit for 3k on my p/t/v warrior. I don’t have glass cannon gear to test, but I’m sure I could get it higher. The real power of these things is not their damage, but their ability to be used from the top of a wall. If you have a stack of these and someone is trying to ram a wall you can just spam them on the rams.
I play WvW to kill people. I don’t care much for Zergs or rewards. Instead I pick good fights and hope for an interesting combat.

What? If I decide to sit there and hold down the ‘1’ key for 10 minutes, I am most assuredly helping my team. I should at least get my measly karma reward and achievement credit for doing so.
Shouldn’t be terribly difficult to implement. If I treb down a tower wall, I should get as much (more, really, but whatever) credit as some guy who stood outside doing nothing and then ran into the circle.
And no, the satisfaction of helping my team achieve victory is not a sufficient reward.
No, what ruins the attrition concept is the ease at which conditions can be removed and the high level of burst other classes can put out.
They could literally just add the features that website has into the UI and everything would be fine. Making it server only or having to do it in the actual zone would just make it so people continue to use the website.
I don’t think a build that never dies unless the person playing the build is stupid is balanced. It’s not gamebreakingly overpowered, but nobody should be able to roll a god-mode never die class even if the damage it puts out is mediocre.

Bam, now eles have to actually plan an escape instead of just facerolling into a pile of enemies knowing they can easily teleport away if it goes poorly. This will solve most of the whining about d/d eles, because the bad ones will actually occasionally die without their get out of jail free card.
What about this:
1) Make dragon’s tooth a 1s cast animation….so enemies have to actually waste a dodge
2) Make phoenix a 1s cast animation…so enemies have to actually waste a dodge
3) Make lava font apply dmg immediately….so enemies have to actually waste a dodge
4) Make eruption a 1s cast animation…so enemies have to actually waste a dodge
5) Make shatterstone a 1s cast animation…so enemies have to actually waste a dodge
6) Etc etc etcMoral: The number of ele skills you can avoid without any plan or dodge is 20x the number of skills you assume we can use without planning
See? Baddies always see things their way..never the other way around…also so dumb to ask nerfs because a dude play “catch me if you can” while specced to SURVIVE against a bunch of lv10 baddies zerging in WvWvW

Cool, do that and make burning speed a spammable leap finisher like heartseeker.
( I actually wouldn’t mind if they did make rtl function like thief steal, but I’d be willing to bet you’d see a lot more QQ from other classes about it than you do now….. Also not sure it would take more skill to randomly click a deer or enemy straggler then rtl then it currently does to make sure you don’t have a target selected before using it.)
If you click a deer it will keep you in combat for a while longer, giving people some small chance to keep up, same with a straggler. Free movement + survivability = too low risk. There’s a reason why warrior GS has the free charges and not the shield.
Edit: I know critters dont keep you in combat, but at least normal mobs would

There are things they could directly port from GW1 to GW2. Pets with 33% damage reduction in PvE, spirits with radar range, traps that can be stacked, etc.
The whole thing is stupid. There are youtube videos of this stuff. Anet can’t possibly be unaware of it. All they have to do is add invisible walls to certain locations. How hard can it be? I shouldn’t have to play Guild Wars detective for them fix the problem.
Because everyone thinks they’re awesome pvp gods who don’t deserve to lose just because the enemy gathered up more people.
too powerful? you can stand in them for the full duration and just heal like it’s nothing. And if the enemy has a dozen people on arrow carts, then they deserve to keep whatever they’re defending anyway.
Who cares if a few classes can run around faster? Your mesmer still has access to aoe swiftness on the focus and portals. Who do you want on your team, a thief who can run around by himself at 25% or a mesmer who gives huge buffs to group mobility and utility?
More importantly, where is the spiked eggnog?

So apparently a group of Yaks are currently hanging out in EB Greenvale abusing a bug that lets them stay invulnerable. Stay classy.

Took me 10 tries to do it on my first char, then 3 on the next. You really just have to learn from your mistakes, something which is obviously not a lot of people’s strong suits.
Unless a youth spent playing super mario bros. has imbued me with super human video game jumping ability, then I really don’t see what all the fuss is about the puzzle.
If you’re running around as a group of 5 and you’re chasing 1 guy to get a kill, you’re wasting time. Go take a supply camp or something. If he ports home, he still has to walk all the way back, which is the same as killing him sans the 10% chance you may get a useless badge.
Running around solo ganking people in a team game doesn’t accomplish much? Who knew?
Don’t worry, next week you’ll be in tier 1 and one of the other servers can stomp tier 2. Such is the cycle of NA WvW.
It’s hard to pew pew when you have to sit in a 4 hour queue because everyone transferred to your server.
What point? That you don’t mind having a bunch of well-organized guilds mass transfer to your sever and give you easy wins? And what happens next week when someone falls out of tier 1 and then THEY have to “fight” ET/HoD? Another week of no WvW for everyone involved. I’m not trolling, I’m just thoroughly disappointed by how things have turned out for this game.

Yeah, it isn’t a result of Anet allowing free transfers, it’s a result of players using free transfers! Brilliant logic.
Yikes, I feel bad for tier 2 servers right now, nobody enjoys a one-sided fight. Tiers 1 and 3 are both pretty interesting this week at least!
The problem is, ET and HoD are completely dead in terms of WvW. So they are going to ruin matchups as they fall down the ranks for weeks and weeks. In 2 weeks, when ET and HoD are in tier 3, there will be another matchup that looks exactly like this. And, hypothetically, if JQ or SBI or whatever implodes like ET/HoD did, the cycle will just repeat itself.
Don’t lock the thread, Anet needs to be constantly reminded how terrible the system they have made is, this matchup being the most clear example of why.
My new plan for this week is to play exclusively with naked characters and take as many supply camps as possible, while converting as many others to my plan as possible. This way, I won’t get repair bills while getting owned by a zerg 5x the size of our group.
When there’s such limited space on a wvw map and queues, how many people on a server does it really take?
I’m imagining servers as having say 2000 inhabitants playing (keeping in mind they sold over 2,000,000 copies and there’s about 50 servers for NA & EU, making 40k per world, figuring 5% playing actively).
Out of those, you can’t get a team for wvw?
Even if you do get a guild together and capture some things, the enemy just comes and takes it back because it puts a big “hey, there’s something to do here” sign over what you took. Even if you manage to hold them off for awhile, the fully populated enemy realm just takes everything you worked for when you leave. Not to mention that any guild capable of fielding 50+ have left our realm, and it’s really hard to convince people to join a WvW guild when the only WvW experience you can get on our ream is getting owned because we’re completely outnumbered.
The situation is hopeless, so most people just transferred to other realms or quit playing. Last week we held on to our corner of EB for the weekend, but when sunday night rolled around we lost everything. I’m not sure we’ll last even that long this week.
Currently, as HoD players, we have 6 weeks minimum of getting absolutely destroyed before we make it down to a bracket where we can actually compete. ET, too, lost a ton of population and is ranked far too highly. We need another week or two of 1 day matches. I want to play WvW, but as it stands, I either have to transfer servers or be content with taking a supply camp in the middle of the night while trying desperately to avoid a 40 man zerg who is as bored as I am.
Please do something, Anet, this is kitten I don’t want to spend another week farming orr or doing dungeons, I want wvw.

You already indicated you knew that they were bots, so the point of this thread is what, exactly? Yes, botting is against the rules. No, following bots around and killing things with them is not.
