Mid November Patch

Does anyone know if any of the devs have said the exact date for the mod November patch? I have observed a lot of people putting the 15th, and I was just wondering of any of ANET had said the 15th specifically? Mondays have usually been the patch days for them on the last few patches correct? Today is still considered around the middle of the month for their normal patch day, just wondering.

^ If your argument is that they don’t see it coming, so it’s irrelevant, then there’s no point in even saying the wind-up is a good balance to the skill’s design, since your enemy won’t see it anyway.

You also run into the problem of, “Well, Kill Shot isn’t meant to be used in 1v1s, so when you’re in a 1v1, you just can’t use it.”

Bad design. Terrible, in fact.

I’m sorry that may have came out wrong. I meant that I try not to use it in 1v1’s not because its hard to use in fact it’s easy to set up with rifle but or an immobilize, I would rather not use it in a 1v1 so I can use it when there is a group of people to hit multiple targets.

You didn’t read the thread I’m guessing?

Their defensive capabilities would be adjusted accordingly. It’s not just oh add 4k more health to the guardian and ele and thief the way they are now, that wouldn’t make any sense.

Bam, 13k lol I’ve got a 7k one somewhere as well as a few others. Had some 9k ones too. I think usually they are anywhere from 1200 to 4k.
I think +damage% stacks in a very odd way in this game and is the culprit for many woes currently. I made a max glass thief just for shiggles and I’m running around doing 5-6k clusterbombs on a regular enough basis.

Nearly every other class in the game begs to differ on the “basically worthless” kill shot. This thing hits, and hits big. If your opponent doesn’t burn something to mitigate or avoid this damage, you win the fight, hands down.

Kill Shot, in my opinion, is a good example of what a high damage burst ability should be.

I can agree to disagree on Eviscerate, as Axe is basically just a damage weapon anyway, and at least one burst skill should probably just be damage, as that’s its personality. But nooooooooo on Kill Shot being what you say it is, by any stretch of the imagination.

Just dodge. Seriously. You don’t need a hold your breath HERE IT COMES moment where you frantically look for your one counter skill. Just move a little. It’s the easiest skill to dodge in the entire game. Well, maybe other than a couple of basic Ele skills. The Warrior can’t control when it fires. They can only cancel it. Just wait about three seconds, then dodge roll. He’ll never hit you. This isn’t Backstab we’re talking about here, which in that move set combination actually does more damage than Kill Shot and is far more difficult to dodge in addition to not being a primary class mechanic. It’s three whole seconds. There is no excuse at all for being hit with Kill Shot, other than you didn’t know the Warrior was there. That’s it. It’s only good for picking at people in WvW or as a rare lead-in attack in sPvP.

Kill Shot is an example of everything a Burst Ability should not be. Focuses only on damage, no utility, no depth to its execution, massive windup, incredibly easy to negate, completely pointless. I know it’s easy to get infatuated with a poorly designed skill because it deals a lot of damage, but really now.

While I certainly don’t mind “super moves” that can deal massive damage but have high wind up animations, you aren’t going to catch anyone in PvP with it unless they’re stupid or unaware you exist. And certainly not when the easiest counter for it is just moving out of the way.

You can’t just say dodge.

Sure in a perfect 1v1 scenario you can dodge it, but if a warrior is using kill shot in a 1v1 he’s wrong.

My targets NEVER see the kill shot coming. They are always engaged with other players, I wait until they are far away so they have a less chance of seeing it, and I pick out the highest health target in the mass chaos, because once it connects they are going down.
They should never know what hit them if you are using it right. Wait until the get locked in combat with a thief, or a clone factory Mesmer lol not a kitten chance in the world to dodge the 8-10k kill shot coming from left field.

Pvp in this game gets very chaotic due to animations and lots of players, this is why you can’t just say wait 3 seconds and dodge. If you get jumped by a thief who hits you with basilisk venom mug cloak and dagger and is trying to backstab you along with mesmers all over, clones phantasms, you will never even notice a warrior kneeling down in that corner about to take you from 75% to 0. I run rifle axe and shield and I just destroy players with kill shot and eviscerate. The class is extremely deadly and I much enjoy it, but if you think you “can just dodge kill shot” or “just count to 3 and dodge” in pvp, then you must not pvp. It’s extremely chaotic, you have toons dying in seconds from high burst builds, elite abilities and npcs all over, clones and phantasms. Not a chance. You will never see it coming.

Ha this doesn’t even take into Account using it on a cc’d target someone that is knockbacked or immobilized (leg specialist plus rifle 3? Is great for this) and in WvW it’s worse.

Kill shot is a phenomenal burst ability for doing just that bursting.

It’s the core concept like everyone has been screaming about thieves “No one should be able to put out this kind of damage” or how about the one everyone likes to say “If I had an Instant Kill ability on a 5 min cool down and cast time would that be ok? No”

You can’t have your cake and eat it too, if you are saying this about thieves mesmers and engis you have to say it for warrior too

Yeah real easy to dodge in WVW with people running all over like you are going to be focused on that 1 warrior out of how many mesmers and other toons?

It doesn’t matter “how easy you think it is to dodge” no one should put out that kind of damage, half my toons have 13k up -17k this would one shot most.

If you are level 80 and fielding 13-17k HP you have not built yourself for survivability. You have made a conscious choice to be killable by dust mites, small breezes, and moldy bread crusts. Glass cannons have no place EVER complaining that they get hit too hard, they literally specced and geared to be hit for too high a percentage of their health by everything.

I fully agree that burst on the whole should be looked at in this game, and I don’t necessarily disagree that warrior burst should be among those looked at.

The majority of data, however, should not be based upon players that have made a conscious effort to be as killable as possible. Even my thief has 23k hp—and yes, my enemies still void their bowels when his backstab connects.

My main an ele has to STACK vitality to even reach 15k health?? There are classes out there which don’t get lucky enough to start with 18k base health. So you saying 17k health isn’t built for survivability is pretty far from the truth, considering those classes have to give up Almost ALL damage to gain some vitality and toughness, like my light armor 10k base health ele, for an ele to even be tanky they have to stack healing power and toughness, there is no way to stack healing power toughness vitality at all in SPVP (in WvW its even worse as you have to stat for vitality, toughness, healing power, power precision or condition damage which is a rodiculous amount of stats to try ad ontain just to be even with other classes) and even then you would have Nothing (zip, zero) in damage. So yes before you go and say I have no room to talk with a class that ONLY has 16khp (which to have to give up a lot to get, you need to play some other classes to see.

Which brings me to my next point that of you think someone is a “glass cannon” at 17k hp (which they have to give up a lot to get) you more than likely haven’t played anything other than a warrior, which means you have no right to say anything in this conversation as this is about being on the receiving end of kill shot, which I have been on both receiving and dealing. You lack knowledge of the basic mechanics of the game if you think someone with 17k health is glass cannon. Kill shot hits ridiculously hard on classes that have a low base health to start off with which is just wrong.

Sure if you are a 25k hp warrior or necro a 10k hit is nothing, but when your whole up pool is 13-14k (like my BUNKER ele) that hit is hard. Even stacking toughness, it’s not going to outway a power precision Crit damage stacked warrIor.

Switch HB with Arcing Slice that would be so amazing. I would be playing greatsword all the time.

I hate the HB stand in one place mechanic it is so awkward but I feel kittened if I don’t use it. A swapping with arcing slice would mean I can trait for adrenaline and not have to use HB so much.

Nerfing our only viable PvP weapon to the ground like that would be crippling.

Hammer, rifle, axe shield, made and shield, sword bleeds all of these are EXTREMELY viable, people are just complaining to complain, warrior is in a good place as of now (minus bugs and a few other items)

Yeah eles and guards maybe the toughest to kill as of now, that’s because they are pigeon holed into taking defensive gear to compensate for their ridiculously low health.

Try running a power prec toughness armor set up on an ele without speccing into vitality and see how that works for you. We HAVE to either spec into vitality and run with 13k health and run tanky gear so we don’t get 2 shotted.

The base health differences is frustrating to say the least. I can stack all damage and only some toughness gear on my necro and warrior because I don’t even have to worry about vitality, my ele thief and guard I am completely screwed on stats, I had to pick up vitality (not an option to run with 10k health in PVE or pvp) then my ele is in light armor on top of that so I have to stack toughness or healing power or both, to avoid insta gib, Good-luck fitting damage stats in there.

It’s making balance difficult and pigeon hoping players into having to spec or gear up for defense just to not get one shotted.

I run Power, Precision, and Toughness on my Elementalist with Knights Amulet and made it to Rank 21. I usually die about every 5 or 6 kills. People do not understand how to kite back to thier group or when to disengage. Theif? Mist Form, Teleport, RtL, Shocking Aura, almost unlimited Swiftness and Might. Hit Points are not really a factor when you add utility to a class. Every once in a while someone catches you with no CC break, guess what…you die. It’s not because they were better, it just happens. I could see where people could make the argument about Hit Points if the difference was huge, but if you factor utility, mobility, CC, and DPS all into the equation (and player skill) it seems pretty balanced.

Learn how to move and pick your fights, you won’t need 24K hit points as a crutch.

I’m running 13k base health on my ele, with healing power toughness and power. All I’m saying is that because of the low base health of the class, our stat allocation is more kittened than the other classes when it comes to choices. Im running bunker style dagger build, but that’s just because I’m not really a big fan of glass cannon play style. I ran around with base health on my ele for a bit with a lot of toughness, but the survivability comes more with healing power for me. I rock same cantrips but armor of earth instead (stability too good to pass up for me) at rank 20 now. We would have more options if our base health was more in line with the others, especially with the melee play style of daggers, light armor and the low base health make defensive builds popular which is adding to the “bunker” problem. They gave each of the 3 lowest hp classes abilities to compensate for the low hp, eles heals, guardians defensive abilities, and thieves stealth, and which of these do you not see being complained about on the forums haha.

This is ridiculously dramatic, I picked up a warrior today, decided I wanted to play rifle, axe and shield, hammer tossed in every once in a while and within 3 games was pug stomping. It’s a blast, this class is a ton of fun. Made up my own build. Damage and some defensive, shield 5 plus endure pain utility, equals a very long time to getwhat needs to be done, done. The rifle butstroke knockback is a great cc, and same with shield bash. I tossed fear me into my utility for Aoe scenarios, and the used the signet that removes conditions on activate (endurance I believe) I was eating mesmers and thieves (but stroke when they stealth on you is hilarious) for breakfast. Eviscerate is a great gap closer, and rifle butt, or fear me is a great way to set up kill shot, which is hitting like a train , guardians were really the only “difficult” fight and they were just prolonged. Time fear me, rifle but, or shield bash to interrupt their heal and you are golden.

This class is tons of fun to play and extremely deadly.

How utterly kitten is it that some traits discourage using your F1 skill by giving you increased damage when you have full adrenaline? How does that even make sense? I just don’t even understand some of the designs in gw2.

I thought this was there to supplement burst damage?

Like with a rifle I chose that trust so at full adrenaline my kills hit gets an extra 12% damage. Is that not how it works? Because if it does work like that then it’s definitely a good trait. I run axe/shield and hammer or rifle depending.

Kill shot and eviscerate are great burst skills, the gap closer on eviscerate is great, and they are both high damaging abilities on low cool downs. I play with multiple classes and would love an on demand 6k-10k hitting ability on my necro or ele, the damage is amazing compared to other classes minus thief. Plus the low Cooldown. These abilities are great to supplement heavier defensive builds and still pack a punch.

These threads are getting ridiculous. Seriously can we not have the thief forum to discuss profession advice and builds as well as weapon set ups? Or is this sub-forum going to be continuously flooded with the same threads. If you want to complain do it on one of the other 362936 thief complaint threads. Stay out of this profession forum.

ALL burst damage needs to be toned down, not jus thieves, warriors, engies, shatter mesmers, all of it.

This is getting frustrating, that our profession forum keeps getting hi-jacked by complaint threads screaming nerf thief.

Nerfs are coming on the 15th kittening leave it at that.

It is funny when people complain about thief burst dmg while doing nothing to prevent it If they nerf the bs dmg, then all truly powerful builds will become more common (like bleeders or dazers) – that will become a scary day for those that are still having problems with backstabs.

so you always have full endurance and your defensive abilities are never on cooldown? you are beyond pro sir.

Well if I get ambushed without endurance and defensive utilities on cd most of the classes can kill me in a few second: war/thief/ele/mesmer/ even ranger have burst builds to kill unprepared people fast. Its just strange that only a burst thief gets most of the qq, yet being one of the weaker builds for this class.

please tell me how any of those classes can drop 15-20k damage (low end) in 1-2 seconds with zero setup. Btw i play mesmer and ranger regularly so dont lie. thanks.

20k Damage Low End huh? It’s ridiculous out of whack stats like this that cause problems.

I know burst damage needs to be nerfed across the board for multie classes, so I’m not defending a thieves burst ability, but when one person says a “statistic” people that like to exaggerate and repeat the information in larger numbers that end up being ridiculous.

Holy bugged stealth.

All night last night in SPVP, whenever I would stealth and then shadow step, or infiltrators arrow, it would “reveal” my character, I could see him (not invisible stealth outline) but I still had the stealth buff, I had no idea if other players could see me or not half of the time.

I feel like I’m going crazy here, all these warriors that are saying the amount of damage a thief can do should not be allowed ever, yet they are seriously defending these 17k damage hits??

It doesn’t matter if those people are level 1 and up leveled, there is no way that kind of damage should be able to be reached. You think that’s ok!? How good is it for this game for those lowbie a to get completely 1 shot from 1500 range having no idea what happened??

I’m really at a loss for words. As everyone has said about the thief class “What if I had an instant kill ability that kills anyone on a 5 min cool down, would that be ok? No it wouldn’t because it would be ridiculous.” You cannot have your cake and eat it too, if you are calling for thieves damage nerfs, saying that no one should be able to insta gib, and that that kind of damage should never be possible, then you have to call for warrior damage nerfs as well, because this is an insta gib ability, the very kind you “hate” (when it’s not your class that can do it.) It doesn’t matter how you defend this, it needs to go.

Warriors are underpowered

I like playing my warrior, but honestly 100B is ridiculously easy to set up. Anyone saying otherwise is lying. From blind siding a player whose not looking your way, to engaging with a few combos first and a cc to make them use their stun breaker (if its even off cool down) and with frenzy you better stun break the second you hit the ground because it will be over, I HARDLY ever missed a 100B combo with frenzy, even ran it without Transylvania and bulls charge, or leg specialist with blade trail, or hammer cripple. I don’t really have a problem with the combo when I’m fighting it, it’s just frustrating to see the warrior get passes over when their burst is just the same as a thieves. I mainly play hammer on my warrior and its a blast, but come on if you are going to nerf one class’s burst yet another class can do the same thing, lets be equal across the board.

I love downed state. It adds another strategic level and gives you that feeling of fighting for your life. You have complete glass cannon thieves and warriors that drop you in 2 seconds because your stun breakers were on cool down, but then start swinging away in downed state and they realize oh kitten this cheese insta gob isn’t just a free kill because I caught someone with utilities down. Lol

I love when I kill someone 1v1 say I’m at half health and utilities on Cd, and an enemy Zerg rolls through by wreck me but move on and forgot about stomping me, I Rez myself and heal come back with a vengeance and wreck them its such a great feeling.

I was actually Arguing with a guy in the warrior forum who said the blade trail “bug” is fine. His EXACT WORDS “It’s the necros fault for having all those pets, he DESERVES to get hit for 30k”

Thief in Arah Explore - Hints and Tips needed.

Ok

Here’s the deal, you are definitely going to wants some toughness and vitality gear especially when you get to the 3rd boss in any path giganticus lupicus. That fight is mainly about survival, a heavy stealth build might actually work well to drop aggro and help Rez teammates.

His auto attacks are homing and they come quickly along with a huge Aoe and a shadow step that hits like a train if you don’t dodge. You are going to need some speed and a lot of dodging. I would probably go 20-30 stealth the return energy on dodge in acrobatics, and maybe he rest in critical hits for some dps. You are mainly going to rage the bosses.

Now another HUGE secret or tip that I found out on my necro (haven’t tested it on thief yet) is that spectral grasp (a single target pull) let’s me pull 1 single mob out of a pack to the group without aggroing the rest. If scorpion wire works the same that will be a HUGE help to the team.

If you are running a dps spec with zerkers gear or little to no defensive gear you are going to be a big hindrance to your team. Arah explore is more about surviving than damage. You are getting multiple mobs at once, ranged and melee and they hit hard. You have to be able to take some hits and heal up.

Shadow step will be a huge Lifesaver for lupicus because he has a pull in stage 3 as well as the huge Aoes that you always can’t run out of in time.

Me playing my dagger ele, Ride the Lightning up to a point with a Guardian, I get that sweet ele bug where Ride the Lightning makes me stuck as a ball of lightning just hovering, 3 inches from the guys face. Can't Join Spvp Servers and Games Not Ending

So for some reason I cannot join SPVP servers, I click join on a server and nothing happens, then about a few minutes later I Get a message saying the world you are trying to join is full have your party member join you in your world?! I’m not with a party I’m solo.

Then if I do get into games the matches are not cycling players to the next map. The match ends and gets stuck in Blue/Red team won mode.

Hey all, so I’m new to the ranger I played a shortbow axe and warhorn, condition build yesterday and did alright, but I really want to try longbow power Crit build, anyone have anyone have any suggestions on a 2nd weapon, and possibly a build? I was thinking 20-30 in Crit, hide in plain sight, shared anguish, and arrow piercing trait, possibly 5 for QZ on pet swap, also anyone have any recommendations for pets, and utilities?

it only increases like that when you hit 9 people in the necros case it hit his pets going out and him then coming back in it hit his pets them him last… which means it had greatest dmg on him.. his falt for having sooo many pets? i dunno but its built to increase so of course if it increases off a increase its going to boost up and double the more times it doubles the more effective the dmg is. its not a bug just a bad spot to be in if the warrior can actually get 9+ targets hit anyways if he can then you deserved to die anyways

Need Thieves Help!!!

So earlier today I can across this thief in SPVP that I actually wasn’t able to kill, he wasn’t able to kill me either, but it is the first person I have fought in a very long time that I wasn’t able to kill.

He was a heavy bleed thief, had caltrops on dodge, I’m guessing he had to have return endurance on dodge, as well as sigil of energy, because every time he wasn’t fighting he was dodging spamming caltrops. Question do caltrops have a internal cool down or a stack limit? Now I’m guessing the thief had 15 initiative as well, because when he wasn’t dodging he was spamming leaping death blossom stacking bleeds like a champ lol.

Now I’m not complaining or QQing I’m coming to your forum to ask for some advice and learn.

I’m a D/D heavy water specced (lots of condition removal) ele.

I tried to keep him as cc’d as often as I could but none of my attacks were connecting between all the dodges and LPD.

Anyone have any advice on how to beat this guy? I’m not just ok with stale mating an opponent I want to be able to kill him and win, no matter how much work it takes. Thanks in advance!

Edit: also this guy was getting initiative back really fast.

How long have you had the second set for? How long have you been checking the numbers on the second Set? It might just be that you played longer with the vitality set, so over a larger span of time received bigger crits, and that is all you are remembering, and the beserkers maybe hasn’t gotten as lucky with the RNG yet therefore you onl remembering smaller crits?

I run a 30 arcane 30 water 10 earth spec, with clerics gear/amulet and have NO problem killing players/mobs. Usually end up with 15+ kills a game.

Hey aurum important thing for ya, don’t choose your spec based on the stat points, they are only there to add a second benefit to picking traits, pick you spec based on traits you want. Example, don’t be like hey I don’t have any toughness in this spec ill put points into earth for the toughness it gives, take a look through the traits and find what will benefit you most defensively.

Actually easy way for me to kill the fear from a necro is to swap to water attunements with the 10 pt trait cleansing wave? I believe remove condition on water attunement, pop water immediately to break the fear. Cleansing flame cantrip is amazing.

When fighting mesmers THE most important thing in m opinion is to STEP BACK stop and look at the clones and mesmer, you will clearly see the one that is moving like a player. If you just go flying in there attacking and dodging like crazy, you are going to get caught up in the moment and get lost. Stop for a second and look. You will instantly notice the Mesmer.

Go dagger and dagger, I have found the most important stat to be tanky on the ele isn’t toughness or vitality it’s Healing power. Put at least 20 points into water to get the heal every time you attune to water and the heals will be amazing, combine that with cantrips provide regen, and elemental attunements 10 pt arcane trait that gives you regen every time you attune to water and you are looking at some great tankiness from self heals. Toss toughness and power into the mix and you can be a monster.

I’m going to disagree, 10 points in arcane is a HUGE boost for new eles, for elemntal attunements, this provides eles with consistent protection and regens through the test of their leveling experience. This is huge to surviving, I personally would go 10 water or earth next depending on your goal for a build, the armor of earth at 50% is a nice save your kitten trait, or another 10 points in arcane for final shielding which has saved my kitten more times than I can count. Water is great for condition removal on water attunement (cleansing wave).

Actually my main is an ele D/D as well. Today for the first time since about a week after release I decided to mess around on the thief again, I tried building a heavy trickery and acrobatic build but I just couldn’t do anything to all those guardians, the cycle stayed like that for about 3 rounds with the other team always having 3 or more guardians.
Each of their guards were hardcore bunker specced, was a nightmare.

I was just really frustrated after that game and shelved the thief for a long time now back on my ele b

Thanks for the advice so far I really don’t like condition specs, even my necro I play power well d/d, but if guardians are starting to blow up in numbers I might have to look into it.

Do bunker guards usually have condition removals? Or are they mainly focused on stopping physical damage? I’ve messed around on the guard for a but but never tried a bunker spec so I am unfamiliar with the playstyle and utilities.

You are really telling the OP to go back to PVE?
If you have no understanding of How helpful this mechanic would be the. I think you are the one that needs to go back to PVE.

In PVP where organization and teamwork is EVERYTHING being able to see enemy targets health, as well as teammates health by immediately looking at your screen is invaluable information. Take a fight at the center point Graveyard for example mesmers in so really chaotic your teammates are getting beat and you can toss some heals or protections on them, if you are really enforcing mousing over targets you are pretty much saying you are a clicker. Being immediately able to see where you are needed with abilities (like my ele) in the middle of chaos is huge.

I’m just blown away at how people are saying mousing over your target is fine. That’s like saying to click.

If I’m on my ele and its a large node battle and I decide to drop churning earth, it would be nice to see oh the guardian popped retreat and everyone has aegis right now.

Yeah we had it on the left side of our screen, but in a game where players are getting fragged in seconds by thiefs and others, I’d rather not take my eyes off my toon and the enemy to check, when all I could do is shift my gaze to the top of the enemies head and my allies.

Here’s the thing.

The problem with thieves is now compounding and snowballing to a larger effect which is going to cause more problems and complaints.

The rendering issue - This is causing thieves to have WAY more of an advantage than hey should. When you are fighting a thief for 15 seconds (because you have played well and broke stun and have kept moving) and you continue to hear the thief hitting your toon with multiple auto attacks, and you cannot see the thief AT ALL for those 10 seconds this is a problem. I haven’t been able to physically see a thief while fighting them in SPVP in a long time.

Now combine the Rendering problem with this next issues
More players playing thieves - This issue combined with the rendering issue is compounding the thief problem greatly. Not only is a player dealing with attempting to fight constantly invisible (not being rendered) thieves, but now that there is anywhere from 5-10 thieves PER game this is causing MULTIPLE enemies to be invisible all the time.

This plus the fact that multiple players are now playing thieves, which means that stun break you had is going to save you once out of multiple basilisk venoms is completely frustrating to players, when you start getting in the realm of forcing players to take multiple stun breaks to survive one class then that is completely fringing on other classes ability to play how they want.

Last issue - NO MATTER how kitten good you play against a thief, if your stun breaker is on cool down, once they hit you with basilisk venom there is NOTHIG you can do but die, it is extremely frustrating to get hit with steal, basilisk venom and have your stun real on cool down knowing there is nothing you can do about it, then get downed

Now that being said I am not complaining about thieves, just that these issues are compounding causing more problems. Rendering NEEDS to be fixed, until then players are going to abuse it to being invisible 80-90% of fights.

As someone who just recently dinged 80 on my ele, after playing a few other classes, yes.

Yes and hell yes does it get better… But only if you spec water and arcane… Honestly I couldn’t even imagining pvping or pve’ing without 20-30 points in water and 20-30 points in arcane… The difference is completely night and day. One HUGE thing that I found out while playing SPVP and PVE and WvW was that The most important stats for me are 1) healing power and 2) toughness on gear, in fact I put 30 points into water and never put another stat or piece of gear into vitality, running with 13k health and I RARELY am downed in any dungeon, and I destroy people in SPVP and WVW. Healing power is huge for an ele, I should mention now I’m D/D.

I had the EXACT same problem as you while leveling 1-25 complete squishy, like 1 and 2 shotted from mobs squishy. I immediately put 10 points into arcane for the trait elemental attunements which makes a Huge difference because getting protection very time you swap to earth and regen every time you swap to water is massive to survivability.

So yes it does get better, I can Ride the Lightning into a group of 8 mobs and wreck the. All now in frost gorge (Orr is a little different) and in pvp I have no fear.
BUT and a huge but, ONLY if you spec for it.

Yes that would be pretty OP if it was a standard regenerate considering it is there continuously 24/7 as you stay in water, not only that but it also stacks with other regens as well, and is AOE, ele has a lot of healing support options, if this we’re a regular regen it would be ridiculous to bring us down, and if you get in trouble just stay in water for a FULL strength regen as well as the healing skills, and stacking that with +healing power gear.

It’s the 2nd dungeon that new players will see, I tried running a group of brand new players through cm story and the ending is bugged and the dungeon cannot be completed… I was trying to explain to the new players that this isn’t normally how dungeons go…

Lol you just said after the patch you feel godlike, then ask for more changes… You should probably re word that, as that statement alone completely contradicts your whole post.

The D/D changes were amazing, if the fix Ride The Lightning I would be EXTREMELY happy with D/D and I am already very happy with it.

RTL is SUCH a crucial skill for D/D melee eles arsenal or even S/D and for it to be stun-locking us the way it is now is terrible as we already have to work to be on top.

The story mode is now hugging out at the VERY end if the dungeon. The point where Queen Jenna is with the 3 Separatists and she is in the Bubble, the quest indicator says to kill 3 Seperatists to advance yet only 1 and the champion spawn. Therefore after you kill them the quest is stuck at 2 out of 3 separatists killed and queen Jenna gets bugged out in the bubble!
