agree but life steal is bad it only work with dagger because you can spam 1 fast but on gs it need to be more to compensate the slow hits.
my idea would be increase the attack speed by 15%( like you say) and add a damage modifier 10% more dmage

What can we expect from this balance patch, ANet?
Every time ANet puts out a balance patch, they say they’ll keep a watchful eye on things and adjust/revert where necessary. They’ve never actually reverted anything though: as far as I can see, once a change is made, that’s it and the rest of the game is balanced around (sometimes broken) mechanics in the future.
—Thief AA buff (Jan. 26 patch) needs to be partially reverted.
—Ranger Search and Rescue buff (Jan. 26 patch) needs to be nerfed.
—Necro scepter AA buff (Jan. 26 patch) needs to be fully reverted.
—Necro chill damage buff (Nov. 4 patch) needs to be fully reverted.Among other things. ANet balance “team” (?), are the upcoming Feb. 23 balance “tweaks” based off your experience PvPing, or community feedback? Are you able to revert things when necessary as you’ve promised in the past?

You cant the quickness last for half a sec if you cancel the cast
I tested the same thing the other day with the runes… it makes the well a super quick cast (0.5 secs).
I think you could easily start casting the well, then cancel the cast and get some slow skill out of it (chilled to the bone, for example, or life siphon).
Or you could start casting the well, then before it finished, go into shroud and cast Soul Spiral (with the quickness) or Executioner’s Scythe (with quickness)… or even just auto attack.
I didn’t test it…but the quickness might apply with the trait that casts Well of Blood when you res someone…I think there’s potential there but it’s a lot of micromanaging (similar to canceling auto-attacks from Mesmer GS to maximize DPS).
how about make fear knock off all boons and prevent boons from being apply while it last, but not stability
would be better if the trait apply life leach on every gs hit + reduction to all gs skills or cast times
edit: or make the life leach affect all your attacks even in ds
i think health gaining effects should work in shroud they just dont want to do it cause we would be 1v1 champs.

Master of corruptions: all self-applied conditions are also applied to the target, including the additional ones like bhawb say
Terror: Fear last 1 second longer and kd at end of fear or if removed, damage increased by 50%
Path of corruption stays the same
Grandmasters:
Weakening shroud: stays the same
Parasitic contagion: while suffering a condition steal health when struck by a foe (can be an aura), a percentage of condition damage heals you 5% (this trait would be great with corruptions)
Lingering curse: apply to any weapon and make it 250
fear last 1 sec lol
this trait works 50% only vuln is apply the pierce is for ds 1 ( it should be baseline )

To provide some context on this change:
We felt that Blighter’s Boon was providing too much survivability, especially with the amount of boon output that Heralds and Tempests can provide. (This is especially true in WvW and large PvE Zergs). I did like the interaction this trait had with your allies, but boon application from allies is too broad of a category for us to reasonably balance in all modes of the game.
We considered a lot of other possibilities for this skill including adding an ICD, limiting the procs to specific boons, limiting the number of procs from allies, but the majority of these types of fixes ended up taking agency and control away from the reaper which we felt wasn’t optimal.
Ultimately we felt this change helped to make the trait more specific to some builds rather than the best trait in all situations.
EDIT: It seems like there is some confusion about the reasons behind the change. Even though I use PvE and WvW as an example, we think it’s providing too much in all areas of the game, PvP included.
all I see was the other class have too much boon spam, this trait was good only in zergs like you mention. reaper have to be on mele range to do damage also we don’t have heal in shroud signets in shroud invulnerability stealth evades the list goes on and on. Necromancers are the worst team fighter in the game with almost 0 ways to support the team this trait was not over power yes good but not over power
Like bhawb.7408 say nerfing a trait because it is good in zerg sustain is an awful balance point. and everything is balanced around 1v1 for necro but not so the case for everyone else and finally when we had a way to really benefit from outside support it is taken away from us.

• Suffer: need to transfer at least two conditions per foe
• Nothing can save you: unlockable should last longer or make it party wide or add quickness for 4 sec
• Rise : is ok
• Chilled to the bone: reduced cast to 1 sec rest is ok
Reaper shroud skills
• Skill 1 is ok
• Death charge: is ok
• Infusing terror : should pulse out of shroud
• Soul spiral: is ok
• Executioners scythe: need a little more damage and cast reduced to 1 sec
Traits
• Augury of death: Life siphon could be a little higher rest is ok
• Chilling nova: is ok
• Relentless pursuit : add regeneration like warrior one
• Soul eater: Siphon is way too low make it apply to all great swords skills
• Chilling victory: could use 1% more lf but is good
• Decimate defenses: is ok
• Blighter’s boon: need more healing and 1% more life force
• Deathly chill: is ok
• Reapers onslaught: attack faster is nice but the rest of the skill feels lacking
Note: reaper shroud drains too fast, it depends too much of vital persistence this should be base, If this is made baseline we should get a trait that gives life force while in combat 1% every 2 sec something like signet of undead.
Reaper shroud definitely doesn’t decay faster, its just that you are melee and take more incidental damage. I’ve had entire fights where I barely ever leave shroud, in fact its possible to gain LF while in Shroud simply from AAing.

Last time it happened it was fixed pretty fast i think. However, people reported it earlier in the day, so dev’s were actually on. Keep this thread on the front page and it should be fixed by the morning. Though, i’m just guessing.

I just got back in. Not sure exactly how long i stayed logged out, been watching the latest season of the Walking Dead. However, it was probably about 25 minutes. Got a message stating that i was unable to login to the server due to a firewall issue or something but i’m actually logged in and roaming around the map. However, i’m not able to get into a pvp match at this time. Currently it says i’m stuck in que while i’m not in a que.
Did you just log out or close the game? if you only log out it wont work
for all that are stuck just log out for 15 mins and you will be out of the match, you will get a log in error and can’t play pvp only pve hope this help

i try changing characters, exit on the pvp menu and go to wvw but it after 1 sec it’s reload me to pvp
edit: even if it kicks you for not moving it reload you back to the pvp match
