Most likely this was developed well before the crash happened, since then they probably didn’t have time to do something else. Its more poor timing then Anet being insensitive.
E: Also more people die each day from guns then plane crashes, should Anet remove Rifles, Pistols and all other firearms? The harsh reality is, bad stuff happens everyday, you can’t expect people to tip toe around every potential situation.

I love Silverwastes, but hate chest farms as well. Mainly people spamming map chat asking for one. There is nothing really wrong with bandit chests in of themselves, after taking a fort, Ill use a shovel and find a few while I wait.
Funny however because in the same way you see chest farms making SW bad, I see WvW as fail due to champ trains. A “pvp zone” where people just blob and kill NPCs is what has steered me away from WvW in this game, and giggle to myself when I hear people talk about how great WvW/EOTM is.
Allow to convert custom skin sets into outfits, charge 1 transmutation charge and I would buy more skins. Otherwise the price of using multiple skins/sets isn’t worth it.
Most fun profession is dependent on the person, everyone’s definition of fun differs. Personally I find the Guardian and Engi fun, while the Thief and Warrior boring. Really the best thing to do is use up your 5 char slots trying out professions and pick the one you like best.
In regards to race, it isn’t really important, go with the one you like the look of the best.
Dungeons for Lodestones, Silverwastes for Obsidian Shards and some of the other T6 mats.
However seems pointless if you don’t actually like the game, might as well invest time in something else.
It depends on how you do SW. If you taxi in late in foothold, then zerker would probably be fine, since you have high population and mostly you are doing champs. However if you are the type that actually builds up foothold, condi build isn’t a bad idea(I haven’t tried personally).
With buildup maps, population is usually low and most are scattered, this is where zerker will not do so well and condi/defensive builds will do better.
4k Dragonite and 3.2k Bloodstone. Its more the mentality of throwing away what “should” be rare crafting materials. A sink would be nice or reduce the need for silk in ascended armor and increase Dragonite.
Played ESO during beta, and knew right away it was gonna be bad. Taking a sandbox franchise and turning into a linear MMO was doomed to fail. Also while Zenimax is the main developer they did use Bethesda developers to help with it.
A beautiful game which is ruined by a terrible UI.
Never. It’s a journey, not a destination.
True, however the destination is still important, otherwise you are just wondering aimlessly.
WvW if you are on a good server, and can get into zergs. Otherwise PVE and event running.
Silverwastes, you will get decent karma which will help, chests and bosses will drop them, and you can buy them with crests you get.
Guardian Ring of Warding.
You can already see all the locked skins and preview them.
Go to any bank and then the wardrobe tab. You’ll be able to see and preview all skins, even ones you haven’t unlocked.
Oh, I didn’t knew that. Thanks!
Still, having to go to a Bank and constantly be switching windows is a bit bothersome. I feel the skins would be more organized on the Wardrobe section. And you could preview them on the go.
And again, it would be very helpful to be able to preview dyes on locked skins, which can’t be done on the Bank either.
Some armor sets will match your current dye set which is nice, but the overall UI design is quite messy and painful to use. Its odd to me that a game that is so focused around cosmetics has such poor design around that aspect, same goes for helms/hats making you bald instead of sitting on top.
I have only seen VW fail once and have been running it daily, almost live there tbh. Granted champ fails happen commonly, but usually VW will complete.
Defense of forts will be hit or miss depending on map population, if the map is unpopulated during foothold, I just cap red and stay there until population rises.
Usually when I run it is early mornings in EST, so the least populated time.
Id rather have some form of trinity, then “zerk or gtfo”.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Heros turned GW1 into a single player game, and we already have a customizable home instance with NPCs somewhat populated from the personal story.
I assume this is a reference to that other mmo, where I watched a friend get excited because her NPCs had just RNGed her a ton of loot off screen. Think she was clicking the RNG button for 20 minuets while she interacted with 0 players on her massive MULTIPLAYER Online rpg.
GW2 is primarily a zerg fest anyways, the interaction isn’t much different.
The only way to have a no-grind MMO is to have a fully dynamic world, one which GW2 doesn’t have. There are still grinds for almost all aspects, the only difference is what you are grinding for, which in GW2 happens to be cosmetics and ascended/legendaries.
Tbh, I don’t even know why there are levels in this game. Just have the NPE as the main storyline, which as you progress gain traits, stats, etc, and rebalance all non-80 zones. Most of your time at 80 will be scaled down anyways for PVE, and PVP you are scaled up.
Just seems redundant. Same goes for repairs, since repairing is free then it seems pointless to have and more of an annoyance.
Just started doing the same, already got the gloves made.
Silverwastes will be your new best friend.
E: Silk will still be the bottleneck.

Due to megaservers you might come and complain how game is too crowded actually…many people complain on that.
Only when it comes to open world zergs from what I’ve seen. Trying to do a quest and having a a blob run through and kill everything before you can even tag it can be annoying.
It would only be botting if it was automated somehow. All your scenarios are more leeching then an exploit or botting.
After reaching 80 on my Gaurdian I’m finding myself looking for a group to experience/learn more that GW2 has to offer. I’m looking primarily to do Dungeons and Fractals to start out before moving into WvW, however I have not really tried any of those, so guidance would be needed.
The problem is that since I work nights my playtime is at a very odd time. I usually play from 7am-12pm EST when I get off work, which I believe somewhat matches up with late OCX/SEA/Early EU.
I’m currently on Maguuma server but would be willing to transfer home servers to do WvW(after some time ofc).
In short, I’m looking for a laid back, casual, and mature guild to learn PvX with, one that can somewhat match my odd playtime.
Post here or send me a ingame mail to Brooks Puuntai/BrooksP.4318.
Thank You
Thought fair warning, Thief is just the FOTM it seems, there might be a chance it gets nerfed. So try them out and see which one you like more and you can see yourself playing through the good and the bad.
