Regarding gold rate, the rates chosen are based on what players can expect from average play in other areas of the game, not on farming rates … Some of you have correctly noted that time spent in PvP doesn’t contain many of the gold sinks that PvE players experience and this has been factored in.
Sounds like it wont be very much gold at all. What do you define as farming anyway? Running through the nonterrible dungeon paths for 10g/24 hours? Spamming all the temples and metas for 14 ectos/rares /24 hours? Or is it someone that runs randomly in a zone swinging a sword and getting 1.5s from events making 3g/day at most after selling all the trash
I’d like to know how low to set my expectations. Especially when I look at other vendors that have had a gold sink attached to them, ie Therm reagants.
Of the things players have sufggessted the only ones that I agree with are emotes. I would certainly grind and grind and grind for such a base feature.
On the other hand finishers, armors etc etc have been very lackluster, especially those trench coats in the medium armor department. I wouldn’t waste a copper or a second playing for those.

i do not believe they said they would actually do anything. They really did not take the wvw cdi seriously at all it was a giant mess compared to the other 2 threads.
In that case perhaps the devs could start by, perhaps, pretending to humor players suggestions and make more of an effort to take part in this mockery of a discussion. At the very least they could come out and say “Your feedback is meaningless since we have no plans to adjust issue X as it is working as intended”

I believe the intent is this thread is to retrospect the Collaborative Development initiative. You’re suppose to include suggestions on how to improve that, not how to improve PvP.
Did you think the top 3 format was a good idea? Do you want to see more developer responses? Do you have a better idea on how community priorities can be polled? Do you think your suggestions were ignored? Do you think it was hard to draw attention to the very good ideas? Do you think a vocal minority dominated the discussion?
They probably want your feedback in the top 3 suggestions/ideas/concerns format like the original thread.
So it’s like a meeting about future meetings?
Where I work we call those wastes of time. How about moving down to the second most popular topic on each list.
And the first round of CDI around Living World was extremely useful in this regard.
Yes, the LW one was good in some respects, devs actually acknowledged that they made several mistakes and would try to improve in their future story-telling, sometime in 2014. The PvP/WvW ones were trash.

We fixed a number of bugs and made lots of balance changes to existing fractals.
So the dredge clown car has been brought in line (read: drastically reduced in number) and the hp of the champs in uncategorized is now 1/10th of what it was before?
These were the reasons these fractals were trash and people rerolled.
Every time you finish a complete set of Fractals (3 Standard Fractals + 1 Boss) you will receive the daily reward, restricted by account, which is consistent with other dungeon rewards. Each 10 levels of Fractals has it’s own daily reward. So if you played level 1, 11, 21, and 31, you would receive four daily rewards.
But the dungeon reward chests are all kitten, aside from the asura Arah path.
Can you just come out and say
X gold & fragments for level 1-9
X gold & fragments for 11- 19
etc

The bonus chests appear under your world rank bar with the message “X Bonus Chests reamaning”
They’re the same trash chests you normally get on level up,blues and greens and a 0.000001 chance of something good.

Let’s be fair, the rewards in WvW are kitten unless you’re running a non stop karma train. The people in charge of distributing rewards in this game have always done an awful job so, there is NO REASON to think that the season chest will have anything worthwhile in it regardless of what position the server finishes in.
Now if you play for fights or what not than good for you, you got what you came for.
If rewards were such a big deal to you, you would have switched servers before the season started. If you are only playing in WvW just for the season awards then maybe thats not the game mode for you and you should slide on back to pve.
Except some of us have multiple personal guild banks so server switching ins’t a reasonable option.
My understanding was the models for them clashed completely with Charr.

This game is already Ultra Casual, especially with the time gating that prevents the truly hardcore players from getting everything 5 minutes after release.

The changes to chill of death, weakening shroud and banshee’s wail are all good Although about weakening shroud, I agree with others; 2s base weakness is rather low, since you’re having a joke if you thing people are going to be trying to max condi duration, shorter DS CD, and spamming DS as often as they can. You simply can’t do this and still be effective, it’s an outright waste of DS, although if the DS CD was based on when you entered DS, not left it, it would be a different matter…
Reanimator is just beating a dead horse – if you’re removing it/merging it into something else later great, but decreasing the CD makes it just as useless in 90% of the game.
If it’s instanced than I get to do organized runs.
If it’s a zerg I get to stand in the back and push 1.
Either way I get to enjoy a shower of worthless blues and greens.

It was a bit bittersweet. Anyone else sell a legendary and have mixed feelings about it? Something you would do as steady income if you have the skill points/karma? I doubt I would do it again but that amount of gold is so tempting!
I regret selling a bolt only because the price point went up a few hundred g the following week.
On the + side I made 3 more legendaries with that so I guess it all worked out.
It’s too much work. Trash half finished skin sets like these should be in game rewards not in the cash shop.
They released the release teaser page for the twelfth . Looks fairly average.
ToN instance: 50/50 chance of being good(molten facility) or kitten (canach)
Gas Mask Helm: Cool
Breather/Backpack: kitten
Minis: No functionality so nobody (except collectors) cares
TriChest: 90/10 split between being kitten (Blues and Greens, gee thanks Aetherized Chests in TA) and being karka queen good.
They still have 3 more patches to keep promises made regarding new legendaries and Fractals.
Oh wow, they couldn’t even give us the trash glove/shoulder skins as a reward, you have to buy them from the cash shop.
