Question about elixir X

ButterOfDeath.2873

I know this probably has been discussed already but…why is the elixir X a mix of 3 elites put together?

I mean, it has a 102 seconds cooldown and benefits from all elixir traits, including the duration extending trait.
Both rampage and tornado have a 150s cooldown and last less than the traited elixir X.

You forgot something: Tornado and Rampage both got a skill tag too. Rampage count’s as an physical skill, Tornado is a cantrip now. They are both effected by traits for these skill types. This means they aren’t “better”, they are “different”! Rampage benefits from a trait which reduces the recharge and dealing more damage based on adrenaline! So this skills have their adventages too.

Strictly cooldown wise, the elixir X untraited beats the others traited.
Cantrips give regen, vigor and 3 stacks of might if fully traited.
IDK how peak performance works with rampage, does it boost ALL damage done during the skill’s duration? If so that’s quite good!
As for the elixir: 20% more duration, 2 stacks of long duration might, 1 condition removed.

All in all, they’re all good bonuses, still the elixir X has the shorter cooldown and the toolbelt ability.

But really now i’m curious about the peak performance trait, if it works like that then i’m so going to do a rampage build lol.

I don’t get why it would be more powerful. The only case you will run zerk as an engi is pve and maybe static discharge wvw. In case of pve the random of the tornado with the pushback can be annoying, in wvw tornado is useless compared to the sustain supply crate “can” offer (if turrets not destroyed). So the random effect prevents the “powerful” effect you are wondering. And again the 3sec moa is just an interrupt, at best.

Still, if you get the tornado out of elixit X, it’s stronger than elementalist’s tornado.
If you get the rampage out of elixir X, it’s stronger than warrior’s rampage.
Both due to the fact that they’re the same ability, has a lower cooldown, and if traited, it has higher duration and procs other elixir traits.
Plus, on top of that, a watered down AoE mesmer elite.

Sure, getting the tornado may not be a good deal, same for the rampage, maybe you’d just be better with the crate or the mortar kit, that doesn’t change that the elixir X, if we ignore the RNG side of it, IS a stronger version of two other professions’ elites.

Again, i don’t say it’s powerful, useful and whatever and that it is better than engineer’s other elites, i’m asking why, if we remove the rng aspect, it is a stronger version of ele’s tornado and warr’s rampage.

So yeah, i guess it’s balanced due to the fact the profession rarely can take advantage of the transformation while eles and warriors can?
Cause afaik, eles aren’t really happy with the tornado and i never see warriors using rampage…

ButterOfDeath.2873

Well,i never complained about elixir X’s strength by itself, i’m aware of the flaws of the transformations, i was wondering why it’s directly more powerful than Ele’s transformation or warr’s transformation (aside the fact it’s rng based) and has an AoE mesmer elite with reduced duration.

Those are fairly good points, but that’s the transformations fault, not the elixir X’s fault.

I mean, it has a 102 seconds cooldown and benefits from all elixir traits, including the duration extending trait.
Both rampage and tornado have a 150s cooldown and last less than the traited elixir X.

Which can be fine, as there’s some rng involved.

But now they added the AoE moa morph.
It has a 120s cooldown, while the mesmer’s signet has 180s cooldown.
It can hit up to 3 enemies in an area, instead that only one.
It has half the cast time.
It lasts only 3 seconds instead of 10 seconds.
It doesn’t provide a passive effect.
It can be casted twice with kinetic battery.

Now my question is: what makes the elixirX+its toolbelt skill balanced compared to other professions’ elites?
I’m not hating or anything, i’m just curious, if i were an ele or a warr i’d feel a little cheated.

ButterOfDeath.2873

Just a tiny bump.
I’ve been using this build quite alot and i’ve been able to hold points 1v3 for quite a good amount of time -and- surviving, against both power builds and condi builds.

Regarding sigils, i now run 1 sigil of intelligence and 1 sigil of endurance on both weapons.
The endurance sigil is obvious, dodge more live longer.
As for the sigil of intelligence, it allows me to burst people with my very high power.

You can ensure to be focused (which is good) by attacking, swapping weapons, popping lich form and using your #1 three times (those hit for 3k-4k if they crit).
That’s enough to pretend you’re full power, plus, you gain A LOT of life force, jagged horrors provide additional targets and you can keep them alive indefinetly by just swapping in and out of DS (plus full heal with shroud 4), you can lose all condis and apply tons of vulnerability.

Really, it’s good.

Toolbox is due to the fact you can teleport allies, heal them up, clear their condis, res em like crazy, you can stunbreak every 6/7 seconds, deny almost any amount of condis, grant perma regen to allies, CC enemies. All while tanking like crazy.

That’s a good bulk of stuff ;D

ButterOfDeath.2873

Greetings, with the new transfusion trait i’ve come up with this build which i’d like to share.

pros
- Incredible support
- Stun breaks for days
- Utilizes profession mechanic to its fullest
- Incredibly tanky
- Can hold its own in terms of damage
- Insane teamfighting capabilities
- Can be customized in many ways, both weapons and skills

cons
- No gap closer except shroud 2
- Requires at least one ally to shine
- Damage output is low

So here’s the build: http://dulfy.net/gw2traits#build=AgQEXAXUA7w~
The build uses cleric amulet and runes of mercy.
Weapons of choice are:
Staff – Perma regen, condi transfer, fear, chill and a long range #1. Too good.
Axe – Mainly for quick life force, axe 2 deals fine damage and gives a loot of it, axe 3 gives retal (which is perfect with our high power), cripples and removes boons, plus some vuln
Offhand Dagger – Condi transfer and blind, plus weakness

Other options
Mainhand Dagger – Makes good use of our healing power, the #1 chain gives a lot of life force but not on demand unlike axe, plus the immob is very useful.
Offhand Warhorn – More life force, some swiftness and a daze. Preferred if you’re against melee opponents and you can handle the condis
Offhand Focus – Regen, vuln and boon ripping, good stuff.

utilities
Consume conditions – it’s a must, forget the vuln, in this condi meta it’s almost always a full heal.
Plague signet – Here comes a fine chunk of your supporting, it’s an stunbreak but use it as your last option, for example if you’re low on health, shroud is running out and you’re loaded with condis.
Spectral walk – since we’re taking spectral mastery instead of vital persistence it’s mandatory to use spectral skills, it’s an awesome ability with the trait and the tradeoff is harsh, if you don’t take it switch spectral mastery and vital persistence
Spectral armor – INSANE with the trait, pop it if you feel a thief is going to HS spam you and /shrug, plus it’s a stunbreak and gives you an incredible amount of life force

elite
Lich form: It gives a good amount of life force when it ends, turns your high power to good use and gives a big “kill me now!” sign over your head, which is perfect for us as we’re really tanky.
Otherwise, take the good ol golem.

How traits work
Blood magic ensures you have immense healing and ressing capabilities, now your shroud 4 will heal 7-7.5k if you fully channel it, plus it’ll res quite quickly and teleport downed allies to you, this is HUGE!
Exiting death shroud will give you protection and heal everyone for 2.5k, so do it often!

Soul reaping will give you big defense boosts and it’ll improve your shroud ability by alot. If you don’t plan to use one of your shroud abilities in the near future be sure to keep entering/exiting it!

Death magic is there to support the other two trait lines: condi clear when entering shroud, toughness to power or reaper’s protection, your choice, and unholy sanctuary.
Unholy sanctuary has saved me countless times when trying this build, it’s deceptively good. That’s that allows you to fearlessy enter lich form, take all the incoming fire, heal yourself back up during shroud while you have almost no health and keep fighting again.
Of course, if you feel you really want to use the scepter, pick corrupter’s fervor, but i really enjoyed unholy sanctuary, it really makes a difference!

One tip regarding gameplay:
It’ll happen sometimes that you suddently get condi stacked and unholy sanctuary procs or that you activate it yourself when you’re very low…this is the moment to activate plague signet, right as you leave your shroud, just to pop your heal afterwards.
If you don’t have your plague signet up, don’t be afraid to run! All you need are 1.25 seconds to cast consume conditions, even if your opponents decap or an ally gets downed you’ll easily be able to fix it with your unreal life force regen and ressing capabilities.

Hope you enjoyed this build, i hope many will try it out!
Personally i was pleasantly surprised to discover that it works wonderfully.

What i feel about the xpac

A character slot should be included by default, it’s ridiculous that it’s not the case already.

Plus players that join now get the core game for free…which is fine, but the description says: “A game serial code for account creation or upgrade for the Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns expansion and the award-winning Guild Wars 2 core game.”

So the core game should be included for every current player as an alt?

By the way, from how i read it, it is a game serial code for either account creation (aka core) OR the upgrade to HoT+core game…
What’s up with the wording? ò.ò

So yeah, i’m really annoyed there’s no character slot by default as many players will either have to get the character slot themselves or, since they’re paying more already, the deluxe edition.
Plus new players get the core game for free when there were many big sales this year…imagine if you bought the game in april lol.
By the way, checking the gw2’s store page buy.guildwars2.com won’t display the core version anymore, no now it’s xpac or nothing for newcomers.

IMO, the character slot should be made baseline…or at least give it to current players as they either bought the game recently and feel kittened or are very likely to have all the slots used.
After all, people who are not into gw2 and buy the game together with the xpac will have all slots free, so they’re not really affected, but most of us really are.

ButterOfDeath.2873

Personally i always choose the race i feel the most interesting, thus i check the lore of each one and pick based off that.
For example, my go-to race in this game are the Asura: i truly enjoy their way of using names ( also nickname friendly, since it’s one short name plus a title awarded through your character’s lifetime, such as savant. So if you want your asura to be called Kepp you can add any title to it, such as peacemaker kepp, savant kepp, pyromancer kepp, etc), the fact they’re focused on technology and knowledge over physical prowess yet they care about their body, such as their ears.

In comparsion, humans feel like your usual self, it’s not interesting since you’re living it.

That “Duuuuh?” was out of place by the way. Let’s try and keep the peace in this forum, shall we?

For people that just purchased it, the serial key should be displayed on the page directly after the purchase, where it asks if you want to register it. Clicking register will simply go to the registration page and show the key. If the key was also missing here, they likely ran out of EU keys, their system broke or if the keys originate from NA, the EU network issue could be the cause.

For people that no longer have that option, you have 2 options. It’ll take several more hours before the main team is available where they’ll likely find a problem and resend the emails. If they don’t, it’ll likely take much longer for support to manually deal with your tickets. The other and much quicker option is to contact support with your transaction number and request a refund. You can then purchase the game again, but this time obtain the key from the purchase page.

The register link in the purchase page leads to a blank serial code: https://register.guildwars2.com/register?p=

So i’m afraid that can’t be used to help (we all can access it anytime, just check your history for the word “order”).

https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new

You DO need an account to contact support.

My friend has just been advised that – Request could not be created.

You don’t, we just submitted one and didn’t have to enter any account details.

Tell us how you did it then, cause my friend filled up most of the blanks except for the account info (cause he hasn’t got one yet, no serial), and it gave him an error saying it couldn’t be sent cause the account name couldn’t be blank.

Edit: you can’t just make one up either, it says it’s not valid.

Glider contradiction?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Posted by: ButterOfDeath.2873

ButterOfDeath.2873

I was thinking… if the gliders are tied to the mastery system, which is tied to the expansion, and they’re supposed to be used in the new areas due to the insane verticality, doesn’t it risk contradicting the concept of keeping all areas useful to an extent?

Because, if the gliders can only be used in the expansion area, then it’s a limitation, it’s a big feature limited to parts of the game.
Instead, if the gliders could then be used anywhere, all jumping puzzles would become free loot chests.

I mean, maybe there’s some special system that triggers the gliders, but then wouldn’t you be tied to it anyway?
Maybe my thought is completely wrong to begin with, that’s what happens when you have a headache…i don’t know…
Either way, the expansion is sitting comfortably inside my invisible shopping cart, does the hype train ever stop ? <3

They announce a new engine for Guild Wars 2 with superior graphics, true interactable features and it saves your spot on the map if you DC. Unfortunately it has a tiny little bug. RNG characters. Everyday your characters are randomly switched to another profession and appearance. Names are also randomly switched between all the character names in the game. In addition, if your new name breaks TOS and you get reported, you get a 72 hour suspension.

They hope to iron out this bug soon and will implement the fix “when it’s ready”

It’d be hilarious, i’d pay for it lol.

ButterOfDeath.2873

tldr: Increase might’s stripping priority based on the amount of stacks.

I’ve read just now ANet’s proposed changes to might and i think it’s an awkward solution.
Lowering the buff might provides will make players gravitate towards zerker meta again, as already wrote by somebody else, plus it’ll passively hurt players who don’t rely on might stacking.

Thus i came up with an idea: based on might’s stacks, the boon raises over the stripping priority up to second (first is stability for most cases).
For example, at 15, maybe 10, stacks it becomes a high priority boon, then at 20+ it’s a top priority boon.
If i’m a thief and i steal from an elementalist with 7 stacks of might using bountiful theft, then i’ll steal it only if the ele only had two boons; instead, if the ele had 15(or 10) stacks, then i could steal it over other boons like vigor or protection; if the ele had 20+ stacks then it’ll be sure i’ll strip it, alongside stability if available or another boon.

Not only it’d avoid nerfing anybody who doesn’t rely on might stacking to deal damage (your usual 5-8 stacks are safe), but it’d improve many abilities or traits rarely picked, such as engineer’s mine or mesmer’s arcane thievery/iDisenchanter or guardian’s searing flames.

Some classes like elementalists, rangers, warriors lack boon stripping tho.
In the case of the elementalists, they’re part of the “problem” and if they could remove might from other classes it might not be really sweet.
Warriors have easy ways to get their hands on some good might and they have quite some traits that benefit from opponents’ boons.
As for rangers, they could either get a little buff on a rarely used offhand/mainhand to strip one boon…or they could be black sheeps of boon stripping, just like engis are with condi removal.

Still, it’s an active change, doesn’t hurt players who don’t rely on might stacking, only hurts players who stack might and allow opponents to strip it, thus it also improves gameplay.
Because of that, it’s IMO a better solution that a flat out reduction.

Just a few remaining questions regarding equipment:
1) Where should i purchase the equipment? In the trading post i see alot of berserker weapons going for around 6g each(i plan to go zerk as it’s quite needed in pve), otherwise i have no clue how many dungeons i would have to run to get them through tokens or other ways to obtain them.
2) Do the runes/sigils actually cost more than the other gear? :O

1) It takes a week to get a complete dungeon set from tokens, depending on how fast you can complete a reward track this may be shortened (tracks provide 240 dungeon tokens, 3 weapons and 1 armor piece).

2) Possibly, depending on the runes/sigils that you want. For example scholar runes will probably consume all of your available gold, still there are some other options that are still “optimal”, ruby orbs are the cheapest one, flame legion runes work for some professions and you get a +7% damage if the target is burning.

Force sigils are great, might be a good investment.

Flame legion runes on thief! #yolo !
Jokes aside, it’s good to know there are cheap alternatives.

By the way, aside the outpost and tokens (excluding random drops) is there any other way to get exotic gear? If no i’ll probably do a mix of both options.

Ty alot for the replies!
Currently i have approx 40 gold and i decided to level up a thief.
I checked eotm but there was barely anybody, so i guess i’ll keep it for a later date.
Instead, i think i’ll probably finish the reward track (i’m almost at the end ;3) and i’ll consume my tomes, then i’ll do dungeons and map exploration as this character has absolutely none.

Since i’ll be level 50, it should be a breeze.

I’ll avoid picking an answer for a little time so more people can reply (especially about my gold amount, to know if it’s enough).

Greetings, i’m levelling my first character through pvp and at the moment i raked up 29 tomes (almost 30) of knowledge; i also have a boost scroll to level up to 20 immediatly.

Now, since i’ve no clue what’s outside the two areas next to my home city (i’m an Asura), i also have no clue what’s outside this little region, thus no experience about dungeons and wvw, also very limited knowledge about jumping puzzles and world bosses.

I’ve heard people suggest to level up to 30 then rush to dungeons, others say it’s better to go to the edge of the mists and stick with a commander if there’s any.

So the question is: should i go into dungeons(if yes, please add/link a quick guide)? Or should i go into the edge of the mists? Or is it better for me to stick for pvp until i can 20-80 (i’m doing fine there) ?
Also, bonus question, how much does it cost to pick up a full set of the lowest cost level 80 exotic gear? (for example, berserker and a condi one, with sigils and runes included)

Thanks in advance

For example, using iLeap on a temporal curtain gives a light aura, then swapping to staff and applying a chaos armor will lead to high damage reduction, many boons and many conditions on your enemies.

For high end content mesmers need to know what they’re doing, they also have quite some burst rotations which must be performed swiftly and on the go to be effective, when playing one you’re either really passive or really aggressive depending on the build.
The profession’s also slow out of combat, that’s fixed with runes which however aren’t available early, plus many things they can do require traits( imo it’s not a big deal).

As for guardian, they’re faceroll-y, can tank alot when going full damage and can support their team very well.

Overall, the classes i’d suggest you in order of how good they are in this scenario are:
Warrior and guardian as they have alot of room for errors.
Ranger because it’s straight forward and the pet helps alot in pve.
Necromancer is fine if she really loves the concept and what it can do.

I’ve assumed she’s little to no idea about how the game is, however, once she grasps the various mechanics and how things work then the profession i’d suggest over the others is the mesmer.
That’s because it’s an excellent profession in pve, it can support allies incredibly well and can do pretty much everything, at the cost of having to accomodate a few weaknesses (like the lack of mobility).

i think warrior has the fewest hard counters to worry about.

Can you type which are those fewest hard counters?

Your talking in circles man.

Nothing I said is “beyond the point”

It seems like you are just new and having l2p issues to be honest.

The profession you want is d/D cele ele.

You can tell what kind of necro by their weapons and when you get hit by one.

d/d ele isn’t a profession, it’s a build.
Almost every power necro uses staff regardless and indeed once you get hit you either choose to fight for a little and run or keep fighting (in the case you’re an engineer).

What you said is that a cele rifle engineer(build) isn’t necessarily counter by power necro(build too, which i’m not questioning)…and that’s indeed beyond the point.

By the way, my skill at playing the game doesn’t matter: i’ve always been comparing two builds played with equal skill and it’s clear that in such an impossible enviroment (as you’d need to clone somebody) a condi necro would have the upper hand against any engineer.

Now i wonder, why do you keep calling builds rather than professions? ò.ò

That’s exactly what i’ve been asking in the pvp forum, your situation is almost identical to mine lol.
To everybody replying after me: the OP isn’t asking which profession beats them all, but which profession can accomodate any encounter at different times.
It means that if you know the enemy team is 5 rangers then you’ll immediatly take all the reflects you have, it doesn’t mean that the build he’s running will deal with everything.

As far as i know, thieves can’t handle guardians at all, especially dps guardians, while engineers melt to conditions very quickly (but you already knew that, didn’t you)
Eles tend to be weak to boon stripping, mesmers have trouble against thieves(but they’re not that hard of a counter).
Necros are mostly weak to projectiles and CC as they have little access to stability and no access to reflects, they tend to win duels more often but they have little mobility, thus other professions can just run away if they feel they’re losing (especially thieves).
Guardians have mediocre condition builds, that doesn’t add to your question but if you choose a guard, then it’s power builds.
Rangers are often countered by reflects but not always, plus they’re quite good at melee too, warriors are soft countered by poison if they use the healing signet.

So the possible solutions could be:
Warrior
Ranger
Guardian
to a lesser degree:
Mesmer
Elementalist
to a lower degree:
Thief (they can run away from everything they can’t beat)

Well a condi or celestial engi wouldn’t necessarily be countered by a power necro depending on weapon sets and utilities. It’s not always class x counters class y it depends on builds. You see most people saying necro counters engi just because we see more condi necros and condi or celestial engis

That’s beyond the point, if you see a necro as an engineer you’ll still be afraid it’s a condi one and if it is then you’ll either run away or hold the point as much as you can then run away (almost) all the times.
Regardless of it being only part of a profession, it’s still an opponent you’re very unlikely to beat regardless of your setup.

Basically what i’m trying to do is choosing a class that can accomodate your needs: your opponent is going to make you bleed to death? Then take enough condi removal; your opponent is going to stab you in the back? then heal up that damage or evade it; your opponent is going to pew pew you your face? then take that reflect and return everything to sender.

If a profession is permanently unlikely to win certain fights then it may not be for me…and if no profession meets that requirement (aside the fact it’d be a terrible design choice) then i’d pick the one that suffers the least from this issue.

If you didn’t hAve some unfavorable matchups you wouldn’t have balance.

I don’t understand what you are asking….. “i was referring as profession as all possible builds” no idea what that means.

I mean if that i’m class X and i take condi removal, i can deal with condi based opponents well enough to have approx 50% win rate, same way if i build to absorb alot of damage then you’ll have little problems against somebody willing to slash your face.
However, if as class Y i take all damage reduction possible and still have issues against physical opponents, then it’s not that right.

Of course, if class X takes a lot of condition removal traits and abilities, it’ll have issues recovering after being stabbed a few times, while if it takes alot of defensive traits and abilities it’ll probably bleed and/or burn to death.

Basically: as long as your opponent is another player, you know his/her exact build and he/she isn’t going to change it at all, is it possible to have a favorable/fine matchup? (by fine i mean 50% chance of victory at equal skill)
In the case of engineer, then the answer would be no because you’ll always have an unfavorable matchup against a condi necro ( just an example).

It’s obvious every build can be soft countered to an extent, but it’s quite sad if a profession will always and regardless have to fear some matchups regardless of the abilities and traits chosen.

The answer to your question is either celestial rifle engi or d/D ele but you will always run into soft counters, hard counters, players and situations that you cannot win against. Part of the game is understanding what you can do against what builds and how to rotate accordingly.

I didn’t mean you specifically were crying, just that it would make sense that an engi would cry about one. I’ve met engineers that worked me over pretty good, you said it yourself you are not experienced my guess is they weren’t as good as you or they thought.

I was referring as profession as all the possible builds combined, not a build to rule them all. (for example, it’s obvious i have to be wary of a mesmer if using a LB/SB ranger, but i don’t always have to as a ranger)
Either way, it’s kind of sad that each profession has those unfavorable fights regardless of the build somebody chooses.

Dodge transfers and interupt consume conditions and you win.

You really underestimate necros imo: dodging the staff transfer is hard (they could just staff #2,#3 and bait both your dodges as the animation is the same), they can fear you anytime and start chaining conditions, if you stun break they can do it again with either staff 5 (which they can bait, just like staff 4) or spectral wall.
Really, try to hold a point vs a capable terrormancer as an engineer…

I main a necro. I didn’t say it was easy…. I simply stated how to win. If you load me up with condis and I haven’t blown my transfers yet then you should know it’s going to come right after you load me. Load me up and try for some sort of hard CC before I can transfer or if you have dodges which since you pretty much have perma vigor swiftNess you should have plenty.

I understand there is alot to the fight but there is alot to any fight….. also learning what classes to avoid is part of the game….

With that said engi is in a pretty good place right now so it’s not surprising an Engi would be crying about a condi necro since it is the closest thing to a hard counter there is.

There are going to be counters and hard counters it’s how the meta evolves.

Also spectral wall isn’t that great if your falling for that kitten you got other problems.

Actually i’ve played more necro than engi and my arguments were based off the fact i melted any engineer i’ve met(some of them were really good players too).
And yes, i’ve proudly been using spectral wall: the initial idea was a counter to melee while being tanky, then when i didn’t need it for that purpose i’d just place it behind feared enemies or underneat people for an instant fear. Really it’s better than it seems.

Either way, the second question has been answered already, but the first isn’t: at the end of the day, which is (in your opinion) the profession that can build in order not to have any hard counters (like the example we’ve just discussed)? If there’s none, which ones are closest?

I’ll still be trying (almost) them all during these few days of tome farming, but since i’m not very experienced and knowledge is power…

I think you are wrong, With specific builds you can counter specific builds, every profession have traits and trait lines to do DMG, remove conditions, control, etc. The problem is, when you go to a specific counter build, normally you lose hard in another encounters.

About second question, Engineer. He have the most useful and least bugged abilities of the game.

But then, assuming the battleground is a medium sized box with no different heights, how does an engineer beat a terrormancer (or thief beat a guardian) of equal skill?
That’s of course one single enviroment, but even with all condi reduction/removal traits, healing turret, elixir C, elixir gun and whatelse it’s almost impossible to win that particuliar fight.

I think too much…

Well it depends on the situation but you can still pull out a victory. At the moment there isn’t any true hard counters because depending on the situation you could still win. A Terrormancer will be running with 2 stunbreaks, so you can bait the wurm and spectral out first with two rounds of overcharged shot and then go ham with slick shoes. Your nades have a bigger range than their staff so as long as you dodge staff 4 and dagger 4 then that matchup can definitely be won.

Except that the engineer would need to outplay the necromancer, as one/two fears would kill you.
I mean, you’d have to carefully outrange the necromancer’s staff, pop the necro’s stunbreaks (he can just insta-fear you instead of popping them btw) and then you must also avoid using too many conditions. Instead, once the necro fears you into a spectral wall it’s kind of over.
Thus that all sums to “run away from/kite what you can’t beat” which i despise as a thing.
That’d be fine if you could build yourself to counter that specific build, but in some cases your opponent is guaranteed the upper hand.

I know it’s kind of a little thing (just rocket boost away huehue) but it grinds my gears quite alot.
It’s like when a warrior can GS#3 over those short gaps of skyhammer, but a thief can’t SB#5 over them…it doesn’t really matter at all but it greatly hurts your feelings lol.
