Do you play on the lowest pop server or something ? because everyone has SKILL DELAY LAG when 2 Huge zerg meet,or there is a huge fight in sm going on,or when 3 zergs c l a s h ( why is this word forbidden ? ),it makes the game unplayable.No matter what your system is,it is Connection related,and its on anet side.

This isnt about “mesmers are now useless since everyone can get a portal”, this about “mesmer were never allowed to have speed boosts because they would bring a unique mechanic to the game that would allow them to transport anyone, having a speed boost would only increase the strenght of this”

Now everyone who really wants to can bring said portal and a speed boost to back it up. I think it is time we move from that archaic way of thinking and give mesmers the uncalled for lack of movement speed for exploring without having tyo spend 15 gold in runes and having to occupy a weapons slot that most likely than not you will not like.

You already have dozens of ways to escape every single kitten fight whenever you want,lets ask for Warriors to be granted teleporting and portals and stealth aswell…because ehhh we need it !!!

This post should be deleted for being not only rude but downright silly. OP, I can assure you that the number of people who actually believe this inane rambling are slim at best.

Unfortunately, though, I doubt we’ll be seeing a fix to your FoV problem any time soon. That level of fix will take Arenanet probably a year+, and they certainly won’t be making any changes to accommodate a 3rd party application, since it would set a precedent that would have others asking “Oh, hey, btw- I have a quality of life addon that I would love to use. Please mod the game for me so it will work! You did it for -blah-”

Some people get motion sick very easily. My boss, for example, will not play games for that reason. Just watching me play GW2 for a moment would make him ill. Just because others don’t understand it, doesn’t mean it will go away. I don’t understand how someone can get car sick- doesn’t make the ill feeling not exist.

Anet stated that using any tool that gives an advantage over other players is a bannable offense.Since you never played wvw by the looks of it and have absolutely no clue that this is giving people a Huge advantage over other people with the normal fov and basically screwing up wvw for what it is.There are Loads of people using this type of stuff,and it is considerd to be a Hack.

By all means,send anet an mail with the link to the program you used ( Wich is only available on Hacking/exploits sites with the warning that you might end up getting banned ) ,and see if anet gives you the “ok” to keep on using this type of stuff.

Bull,not even worth making a serious reply on anyways,cannons WIll down you if you stand in their radius,its Impossible to do more healing with healsig then the cannon does dmg.

Grab a magazine roll it up and place it to your ear and put it inside your case to Exactly spot where the sound is coming from and to isolate other sounds.But it does sound like it could be coil whine,wich is nothing to worry about really.Capping Fps usually works.

Post all your system info,dont let people ask for this,it should be a Standard,same for Having tried to repair the client ?

Reseat your gpu ?

Check your settings.
The patch reset my graphic settings to highest possible. I had to lower it all back down for my four year old 295GTX to play normally.

This is not the issue, my fps is the same whether I run the game at the lowest settings or the highest.

Patch changed something in the code and how CPU gets utilized. The 5% utilization only (in any core) is the issue.

You’re limited by your cpu,honestly next time do some research about a games engine before spending hundreds of dollars on graphics card while your CPU is the issue.

Please ANET fix this ridiculous culling in the new pavillion area. I’m sorry but I can’t do the Pavilion events until this culling is fixed, in order to see the enemy I am forced to turn enemy name-tags on and then all I see are names with no bodies so I continually die not seeing the enemy.

I think it’s also related to your own systems capabilities.I barely have any culling at all there…none to be exact.

Also,posting your ingame video settings might help…instead of screaming culling culling.

My quad-core 32Gb ram SLI system is just fine running triple digit FPS in every other game I play with all GPU settings on highest with zero noticeable lag even with browser open and 8+ tabs open and torrents running along with Core Temp and other assorted apps running on my other monitor, but, in GW2 I get double digit FPS and single digit FPS at World Bosses(between 3 and 8) with all GPU settings at their lowest. It is most definitely not on my end, sorry.

Im just saying..if you make a post like that you start with system specs,it’s simple.Also its well known the gw2 client runs pretty bad even on high end systems,but tbh i really do not encounter the culling you are describing here and def not getting as low fps as you are describing here.Also,getting between 3 and 8 fps is a clear sign something Is wrong on your end,with such system specs you should be getting much better fps all around.

I am having the same problem, every time I go to load the game, I can log in, but right before the character selection screen, the game freezes. Sometimes, it goes to a partially black screen, other times it will remain a frozen desktop screen with my widgets removed.
The only way to escape this endless freeze is to CTRL+ALT+DEL my way out of it. The task manager will say GW2 is not responding. I am unsure if this is what the forum posts have been referring to as “Black Screen”, but the posted solution to this problem does not work for me.
I have a Radeon HD 6670 graphics card, and am running Windows Vista. Everything is up to date. GW2 has worked fine for me for the past 11 months, and even up to this morning. I did not even turn off my computer—it merely went into sleep mode.
There is another question I had I was hoping someone could answer: On the forums there is also a solution to a similar problem by deleting the .dat file at the GW2 location. I have done this, but all it seems to do is delete all the patches, etc. that I had accumulated thus far. It has been nearly a full year since the game’s release. It will take all night and some of tomorrow before the game is re-patched and hopefully playable. My question: Is this supposed to happen? Did everyone who did this procedure have to wait for the game client to reload everything from scratch? Or did I just delete the wrong file, unknowing of the true problem?
Looking for help to the freezing/black screen problem, possible solutions.

The .DAT file holds the patches,wich is located in the games main folder.The Local.Dat file is located in your user settings folder wich holds the Video options etc.I guess youve been mistaken the two perhaps ? Because the first solution would always to be deleting the Local.dat before even trying to remove the .Dat wich is not recommanded anyway..Simply do a -Repair on that file.

Open world dueling ? god no,getting spammed to death for duels over and over is not something i enjoyed in other mmo’s i have played.I usually turned the option Off if possible.

For the error part ,that’s just windows noticing that a program is demanding high utilization of resources, it wants to turn aero off, just to provide more resources to the demanding program. As the program is turned off, it automatically returns to aero.

But if you really get annoyed by this message.You can either make sure that whenever you launch guild wars 2 it switches off Aero on boot so you wont get the popup atleast.

Doing so by rightclicking your GW2 shortcut select Properties > Compatibility > And put a check behind Disable Visual themes and Disable desktop composition.

If you want to have Aero always to be enabled and windows to stop asking you to turn it off,since your system is well capable of having Aero enabled while playing demanding games.You can do so with the following registry edit.

Set a new DWORD “UseMachineCheck” with a value of 0. ( Without the quotes )

Youre a ranger..if they wield double melee…All you have to do is kite,wich you still need to learn to do properly i guess.Keep your distance…Start there first.You can have the best build,but it starts with the way you play.

Warrior heals doesn’t need to be on par with the other classes,we were in need of sustain heavily,and still do.The extra healing buff was and is necessary and should not be toned down whatsoever.Just for the fact that you want to UP necs ( the most OP class ingame atm,even survivability wise ) healing and guards healing is what’s making this post absolutely ridiculous to say the least,were finally being able to withstand some of the constant condi spamming,the healing buff doesn’t make us “immortal” we’ve just been granted some sustain wich we were in heavy need of.

Tbh,good looking mace skins are kinda lacking in this game,you might want to head to the heart of the mists ( pvp area ) and check at the PVP Locker for all available mace skins so you can make a decision.

They should remove the ability for them to teleport when Rooted,it just doesn’t make sense.

What i notice alot,that at times when being Entangled and at the time of being entangled you jump or being on uneven ground,(i dont know exactly how or when it happens but that’s my guess..).That the binding roots become unable to be destroyed for the person caught in them,and your attacks on it simply miss when being rooted and youre a sitting duck with nowhere to go.

This happens alot in wvw.

This is the reason why No one should simply recommend to Buy a better cooler and reapply the paste.The guy obviously has no clue what he is doing…and now possibly on the brink of making the problems even worse.Stop reaplying your own paste…Send it to someone who Knows what hes doing,and will mount the cpu correctly.Continue with this and you might end up damaging your cpu.

People occasionally make mistakes, even about expensive things.

Hence,you should be carefull when clicking,and looking at your screen..instead of randomly clicking without bothering to look hoping you pick the right item..You cannot expect anet to give everyone another amulet of their choise because they are to blind to pick the wrong one ( sry if it came out harsh,i dont mean it like that..)
For instance,many people would like another amulet instead of the one they picked now,so expect 500 ppl sending tickets all claming they picked the wrong item,while they didn;t but they just want other stats.Do you see what a waste of time this will be for anet ?

Tbh,i would like to have new stats on my amulet aswell,shall i create a thread claiming the same thing the OP did … ?

Yeah the pistol is an awesome design,same goes for rifle,really stylish look to them.

They need to move that icon to the lower left side of the Map.

ALso keep in mind it’s summer,at this time i usually ( since my system is oc’d at 4.8 ) Turn down the oc to 4.4,and increase the fan speed on all fans in my system ( Scythe kazer is a good fan controller for this,amongst many others.)
So if you have an oc’d system,get lockups because of heat,or worse performance,or just worried about your high temps..turn it down a notch and increase those fanspeeds,opening your sidecase can also help alot to get that heat out.

Also I dunno if this should be in a separate thread, and I left my screenshots at home (im at work), but the glowing effect on my phantasms is a square with my characters face texture, as well as her mouth flat and eye flats.

Oh and the glow shows up as squares when I go invisible too.

Aside from that they work fine on a mesmer.

Try using a Omnom Ghostberry,be Ready to freak yourself out because faces start to appear on those squares ( No joke,test it out)

What’s the point of this….? I reported this bug 14 days ago when it just got introduced.
Forums were not flooded at all about this bug.Try not to post messages that don’t contribute anything to this Bug thread.And since this Bug is still present this day,thought it would be a good idea to remind them again,since no one else is doing so.

2 Weeks now..The bug is still present and still very annoying..it really gets you out of the flow of combat making you miss targets and unable to complete your combos most of the time.
