This is like saying “Hey you guys won the football tournament last year so you get to start with 1 goal every match” .

Guild wars 2 is a Sequal..Guild wars 1 accounts are linked to Guild wars 2 accounts and hence you can earn rewards for guild wars 2 for the work youve done in guild wars 1.That people are nitpicking over this is something i find pretty egocentric.Also those people have all bought gw1 expansions on top of that,while you were probably..busy playing wow..

I’d rather have they come up with some new hairstyles,beards for norn.I mean..if you got the time to create something this ridiculous,you also got the time to create the same but Realistic and not out of proportion looking mustaches/beards/hairstyles.

So, is this kind of ‘blind’ different than the blind creatures place on you? I’ve been blinded for 10 months, and never lost the ability to see what’s on the screen before this last patch or so.

That also doesn’t explain getting this effect when no creatures or other players are around, though…

Because its a race its meant for you to Block your view,and jump miss etc.

naga with 12 buttons is Really good though.it takes a while to get adjusted to it but once it fits,it fits like a glove.You only have to press skills using your thumb,your left hand is completely free for movement,evading,looting,using,whatever you have put on there.You wont ever play as fast with a normal mouse + using keyboard skills vs someone with a razr.

All we encountered on EB last night early on was Kodash running away and Gandara running away.Untill you both noticed we suddenly lacked people and you came out in full force and didnt run away anymore….So yeah when were outmanned like that ( we even had the buff) We defend.Kodash golem rushing keep 3x and failing 3x aswell.Tbh Eb last night was boring,we fought Vs towers and arrowcarts mostly.And we met gandara near bravost at a point, big blob when we again had about 15 – 25 ppl left..And the first thing you guys do is build an ac…Now yeah ask me again why we went into durios to defend it ?

So …playing on windows 8 give 20fps less,thats strange since i heard people say the exact oppossite with gw2 playing smoother on win 8,but that might be related to the rest ofyour hardware.And how on earth does defragmenting your HD can give you Another 20fps boost…that’s just beyond me..unles you havent defragmented your hd for 5 y,it would barely make a difference.And magically dusting out your pc gives you anothr 20fps boost,..You will not get a 20fps boost from any of those things.
How is this helpfull info Really…? Dust out your pc,buy a Watercooler for your cpu and defrag….? Jump around in 10circles and pray for that 60fps boost….Yeah ok….

Nope,maybe in a future patch when they deal with pve culling properly.

Vsync is just aweful in this game for some reason…i havent botherd using it for a long time,also the same as you describe,you still have tearing when fps is capped at 60 with vsync.You can always disable vsync ingame and force vsync through NVCPL or AMD CCC to see if that makes a diference.

This only happens in large engagements.

If it only happens to wvwvw in large engagements, its most likely your wvwvw quality/players settings..Turn them to low or lowest,that should fix it.

Its not related to heat here either,GPU temps around 60 – 62c,CPU at around 50 – 54.Also..playing the witcher 2 with ubersampling just fine…really, like not even the slightest stutter.Yet gw2 since recently just feels incredibly stuttery,and lags way more then it did before.Tried out different drivers etc,it didnt do a thing.

We all know the Warrior skill “Staggering blow” roots yourself when using it.But after the latest patch when using skill 4 “Staggering Blow”,you get a one sec extra root on yourself..So it goes like this..You hit staggering blow,standard self root applies when using it..but when you start moving again you stop running right away and are stuck again unless you start moving again.

I think it has to be something with the aftercast changes recently being made.Ive asked more warriors about this ingame,and they all notice this bug,.I hope it made it clear enough and that it will be fixed soon.

Tbh i also suffer from lower fps,wvwvw mostly since the latest build ( and have heard others ingame complain about the same thing )..I noticed it right away,it’s not due to my drivers or anything,i reinstalled all of them properly,did a repair and deleted local.dat.The fps problem remains.

It seems this game doesn’t like Nvidia cards as well. There have been other black screen problems months ago as well.

Yes but that is usually the cause of the nvidia driver.Always try a rollback or look at https://forums.geforce.com/ Driver sections to see wich drivers are or aren’t buggy.

Those skins are awefull…Im Really not into glowey/flamey/ type weapons…its just not my taste.I would love for them to come up with some realistic looking stuff for once….Same goes for armor,im not about to dress myself as a huge flamig ball of fire with arms and legs

I’ve played warrior since launch, and tried different build so yeah, I know the class really well. I’m in no way a “hardcore” players, but my friends and people in my guild appreciated having me with them in Fractals, Dungeons and WvW. (Warrior hasn’t had a place in sPvP, less so in tPvP, since I don’t remember when, so let’s not even talk about that.) I began to love the hammer halfway through my warrior “career”, and decided to go full hammer/shout warrior. Which went really, really well even after the nerf… up til now. Which feels strange, because even though I knew my build wasn’t optimal, I had no problems whatsoever if I played well. But now I’ve noticed such a drastic change after the latest patches that I feel like a lvl 40 character or something… can’t do anything anymore, at least not in WvW. I even sense some trouble in PvE oddly enough.

Well tbh,all i play is wvwvw.Im pretty bored of spvp in general,same thing each match.And since the latest patches,i def not feel weaker at all.Cleansin ire is doing its job really well with the removal of 3 extra conditions on top of being able to remove 6 conditions on the fly allready,when traited for restor. strength and using mending.I do a crazy amount of dmg with hammer/sword axe,and have a nice gap closer wich now cripples/immobilizes my target when traited for leg specialist ( i dont agree with the internal cd on leg specalist though,unneeded ) .Final thrust from sword is also something you might want to try out…

Ive been able to hit for 10k+ allready ( when used at the right time,it usually ends up with the player going down,)it can be a bit hard to land though since the animation basically consists of 2 moves…lift sword up…stab infront,you can miscalculate that one easily.Ive always been using hammer in wvwvw,and even that is buffed slightly now,some moves feel a bit faster,im still not sure if its needed to keep 4 to immobilize yourself..but w/e.All in all im still having fun playing my warr,n i certainly dont feel nerfed at all.I honestly think alot of people are overreacting,sicne they simply copy builds from other people and when they get touched they got no clue on what to do next…and start making threads Like the “Delete your warrior” kind of posts…

Yeah…i think anet wants to be creative,theyre arent known as copycats,so introducing gear from skyrim will be something that will stay in your head as an idea and thats that.btw you realize where those ideas from the mods came from… ? They have to much ways of escaping in stealth only to return with full hp. I think that when a ticking condition is applied on thiefs ( bleed/poison/torment for examp ), they cannot go in stealth,and are revealed to everyone untill the condition is removed or the duration is over.

It is fully possible to stop a mesmer from porting people up. He does have to get there in the first place for one, and then he is a rather easy target and so is the part spot.

I think the op has a valid point,but seeing torment in action,i think the dmg is rather minimal to be a real issue.

Toughness is the answer to direct damage, Vitality is the answer to conditions. If you don’t have the toughness (which becomes armor), you having 20K health means nothing when you’re taking anywhere from 3-12K hits (depending on what’kittenting you) in rapid succession. If you don’t have Vitality, not only will your toughness not suffice, but you’re just leaving yourself open to the condition stacking. I can see where toughness could reduce a portion of condition damage, but let’s be serious here, conditions in general suck already. You already have Condi caps, and over riding with other peoples conditions, toughness would just make it worse.

Tell me you ever play wvwvw right ? Take a look at how “Weak” conditions are…They are so “Weak” that they melt through my endure pain ( the trait sometimes unable to pop at all ),able to kill me off right away at times.Endure pain is direct dmg only,that means im losing around 20k hp in an eyeblink due to conditions.

I didn’t like how the day after reset,i saw people from my server,FSP still pushing back white into taking back their towers or keep,same for black.Was asking to let everyone cap their stuff back so we could have an interesting evening perhaps…They didn’t want to,and Commanders tagging up at times who never did it at those times before….Capping around empty towers and when they found some resistance they were suddenly gone to another empty tower..They were trying to hold white keep,but that even failed miserably because you guys put up some resistance.They think they got it easy,capping around empty stuff,untill they meet you guys on the fields..I pretty much enjoyed watching how white sandwiched the fsp group near bravost yesterday,gave me a good laugh.

Im pretty bored already,so bored that i started sieging up sm lord with 21 ac’s and 9 balis…dont run in there btw,it might sting.Hope FSP wises up and stops acting like a random bandwagon of idiots.

I understand what you mean..but you can still try to make the best out of it..Last night on EB,both white and black were incredibly strong in their zerg,and FSP and our pugs didnt had a chance on fighting them in the open since they did not listen At all,yet white and black knew how to follow and stack up properly,you guys put up some great fights.I wanted to have enough people with me to deal with them since people were unable to keep following.If i tag anymore this week i will split the zerg up and you will not be facing a blob in EB.

It was reset..i didnt know my enemy yet,and they wiped us allover the place,pugs needed to learn how to stack,follow,push..we had Alot of pvers last night in EB.I had to rely on avoiding and outmanouvering for a while while relying on your movement when capping towers.I think if you guys put some more effort into trying to hold your towers you could have done much better.Leave a scout behind,and react faster when a tower is besieged.Anyway you guys fought strong and hard,it was frustrating that i wasnt been able to let the pugs do the same thing..i was looking for some nice fights aswell.

Vitality isn’t pointless, it raises your max health to help against burst damage.

So if you have 5k hp more..you get jumped by a thief who backstabs you,hs hs hs …how much longer will you last do you think ? 1.5 sec… ?

Don’t use the hotfix for bulldozer or vishera processors. I used it and windows did not deactivate unneeded cores and the performance dropped very badly. I uninstalled it to let Windows manage which cores are used and it’s all fine. Lower frames are to be expected from the AMD counterparts unfortunately. I have the FX-8350 as well. Again, that hotfix for disabling the windows core parking is a bad idea.

I get like 30-40 FPS in lion’s arch central area and 60 FPS (v/sync is yes) in most other places and like 10 FPS in huge zerg battles in wvw but whatever that’s like one place.

also I use 7970s so we’re pretty even on this issue.

In fact, we have the same specs. Just different brands and I have a 7970 while you have a 7950 (high five for similar machines!)

The one thing that is holding back our processors is single threaded performance unfortunately.

the only way you’ll get performance like Intel users is by either switching to an intel processor like an i5 or i7, or overclocking the FX-8350 to like 4.5 GHz or something. But honestly? Don’t bother switching to an intel processor if it’s just for guild wars 2. This game’s great but no game is worth a 400-500 dollar upgrade for 20% better frame rates.

You realize that statement…it just isn’t true,At All ..right ?You will Not get a 20% performane boost from just switching to an i7,stop pulling numbers out of your kitten like that. The 8350 outperformance some i5 or even i7.Not even speaking about the price/perf ratio…

by the devs. Here’s why. In order for the skill to work you need to have a target and hit it. Which means you can not use it on the run from some one and if there is add you need to actively engage it to get rid of the condition. However the real insult is blind. Now that blind has been buffed you can literally miss your burst get the cd and still have that condition on you. What makes it funnier is that currently it the main reason other classes saw few changes to condition builds. I in all honesty think we just got trolled by the devs.

For anyone who’s going to say lemon grass + melandru in WvW. Forget it I have heard that force yourself into one build nonsense before. Beside this being spvp problem also every class has access to this and isn’t as reliant on being in melee. We were promised in house condition management help. We got trolled instead and I for one find it hilarious.

Tl;DR

We got trolled by the devs between the damage reduction, the new blind, and cleansing ire. We’ll done Anet truly well done.

Learn to use it properly i’d say…Its working out really well for me so far.

If the “best builds” aren’t being shared, then odds are they aren’t being critically analyzed enough for iterative improvement. I question how long they’ll stay “the best” under the lack of magnification that an elitist microscope has.

Just saying it how it is,you don’t have to agree.I just know for a fact that alot of “good” pvp/wvw players do not like sharing their build when everyone copy’s it ( only sharing it with people i know good and wont be throwing it around on every forum ).You dont need 50 different people to share their opinion on a build to improve it,while a good pvp player doesn’t need any other person besides himself to continue on improving his own build.

320 series are pretty horrible..if you dont have a 780 that is.If you have another gpu…don’t even bother,there is to much wrong with the latest batch of nvidia drivers ( Just check out geforceforums ). I’m back to 314.22,those works best for me untill nvidia pulls their head out of their kitten and are able to deliver a driver that isnt riddled with buggs for every card out there except the 780 series.

What about a naked Trahearne on your back ? Able to say “The Pale Tree guide you.” with a soft voice….

Why would i buy something that i think is ugly ? Make sense……

In Diablo 3 you can click on a forum poster’s name and view their achievements / gear via a 3D model of their character. It also lists their stats and other characters they have. EverQuest 2 had something like that as well, whereby you could use a webpage to check out other players or guilds. Does anyone else think this would be a great feature to have on the GW2 forums? It’s basically ‘out of game’ Character inspection. EQ2 ranked players by a lot of different categories as well, such as wealthiest, most damage, died the most, highest critical hit etc..

No,if being added,i would find a way to disable it right away.I dont want my gear to be showing for others,i dont want my stats to be viewed,i dont want my achievements to be viewed.

I think that the new skill,Cleansin Ire..is in the wrong traitline.Look at the traits we have in that line.Spiked armor,endure pain,stability,dogged march etc..To make cleansin ire usefull they should have placed it in another line so we could combine some of them,now its either this or that again…and having used cleansin ire a bit yesterday,i wan’t very impresssed with it an probably stick with using my old traits anyway since theyre all in the same line….

I’m happy to oblige! My suspicion came from my experiences of playing Aion for about 2 years. I’ll try to explain. In Aion, they had a system called “manastones” which could be inserted in armor to add stats to the armor. For example, the better armor pieces had about 5 to 6 manastone slots, in which you could place a “magic resist +14” manastone, or a “magic boost + 25” manastone. Heavily stacking magic resist in all six armor pieces would result in near-immunity against the most dangerous attacks in the game, so it was an important feature. Now, slotting each manastone could fail or succeed. If you failed the first manastone, it would disappear, gone. If you succeeded on the first manastone, but failed on the second manastone, all manastones would disappear, the first and the second. Poof, gone. And manastones were expensive. Imagine the rage that some people experienced when succeeding all but the last manastone, and destroying all manastones inserted. It was really painful, people sometimes needed hundreds of them.

Now, I say “people” needed hundreds of them. I, and other people in my guild who followed my advice, needed about 40 of them, at most, to succesfully slot armor with manastones. I had found out the hard way that if I slotted them in a remote place, and in a zone where there were barely other players around, the success rate was much, much higher. Having slotted manastones in this manner consistently for over a year, and knowing that others who did the same experienced the same results, I know that this was a serious factor in Aion. By the way, this is but one example, many RNG elements in Aion were affected by this principle. This is why I tried using the same tactic in this game.

I played aion…that story is complete Bull..Its the same as Making a dance with a hoolahoop before opening a coffin will give you better results…Its in your head.

I know loads of people that opened just a few hundred and got a ticket.I opened about 1000+ and i have 4 tickets…Play more,open more..Theyre so easy to get.
Ticket for achievement is wrong imo.The weapon will lose being special right there…since every man and his wife and his kid will be wearing one after having done 10 achievements….The RNG on these things is to keep it a special item.Also,you do not even have to spend a dime in the gemstore,you can buy the normal coffins with ingame money at the BLTC…But since you dont have a ticket im sure you will disagree with me no matter what.
