Perm death won’t work..ever.Who plays for several hundred hours to see their char die and having to start allover ? A handfull of people would,exactly.The rest of the people would just drop out of the game and go find something worthwile to do.Permdeath in an mmo is terrible,look up the few mmo’s that did,and saw their playerbase drain.
Is it working as intented that Traps can be placed while in stealth, without breaking stealth?
And what about placing a trap and then blinking/shadowstepping away, which results in you finishing the trap from a distance?

What about the massive advantage Thieves have in placing traps and using them as an effective tool in WvW compared to other professions because they can place traps in an enemy zerg?

I will say we want there to be play with the traps, but placing the traps while in stealth has very little counter to it, so we will be evaluating whether we would like to change this implementation. Thanks to everyone for you feedback and concerns.

I mean -5 supply from 20 people in a zerg, that’s potentially -100 supply gone like that…
This is fun..how exactly ? It works both ways,i still have to find the fun part in this…Doubt i’ll ever find it.Supply running is already a pain,Think reset…Supplys are low allover the place.Towers are upgrading,camps are upgrading,everything is drained..Then you got some people running around placing traps leaving 0 supps left on a map,that Is a possible situation.What will you do when theres 0 supps,or not enough to be of any use,people placing traps like map men in the meanwhile to make sure all stay at 0 ?
Yeah it’s kinda annoying,trying to send 3 mails to a person is just impossible.I know it’s done to halt botters sending cash etc,but affecting many other people aswell.Anyways,just dont send to much in a row,try to deal with it for now.
About dungeons being to hard and repair cost being higher then your income,that is not true.I don’t know if you just started but,learn the dungeons you’re doing and you’l see their not that hard,go with guildies be orgranized and you won’t even have to repair at all.This is an issue with yourself,not anet and not the repair costs.
I know you can get frustrated over this,but i’d suggest to keep on playing and just learn those dungeons by heart,look up some guides on google,watch some vids how other people do it etc.

It appears with 310.xx branch and the only way I have found to fix it fully atm is to revert back to 306.97.
(You can also try to put shaders slider on medium, but you loose wat too much and it’s not a proper 100% fix-it-all)

By your definition then, running a dungeon for tokens is a risk too, because there’s no guarantee you’ll complete it. It may be gambling in your mind, it’s not gambling by law. And that’s sorta what matters. You can’t regulate something that isn’t gambling.

No i won’t.Mind you i did spend 600gems on the Rox Quiver,and if my build was Shield/Mace,i would have bought those 2 skins aswell.But i will not buy chests to gamble if i might or might not get a weapon ticket while wasting money in the process.Rather throw those skins in the gemstore for 600 – 800 each,because if they were,i would definetely buy 3 skins,but now i won’t buy any.
I believe the damage done to players should be toned down aswell,also think superior arrowcarts and the fact that not everyone is lvl80 eventhough upscaled,they melt.Also not everyone is full toughness/vit and it shouldn’t be a requirement to be using it wvwvw.

Didn’t you guys get WVW guilds come from Kodash? Thats what has been said so then you arent really that much of a pug server. And there was a noticeable change in your performance, you lost one week then suddenly destroying everything the next, so something did change whether you are willing to admit it or not.
AM did get guilds from another server,they suddenly had a huge night zerg going on vs 5 – 10ppl. ( FSP ).We were destroying them every week,suddenly they went hardcore nightzerging ( obviously.. ).Also the fact that it happend right after the new patch and people basically dropping like fly’s out of wvwvw since they didn’t like the new patch at all and getting pretty demotivated to keep on playing,it didnt affect the german servers however since theyre horny for sieges anyways.But yeah,they Do have lots more people now especially at night times,these guys cant fight fair,ever.Another reason why theyre so incredibly boring to play against.These guys do not know what fun means,honestly.Dont tell me it’s camping a tower for 5hours in a row then coming out with the full zerg to grab a camp….

I checked out WvW, and it doesn’t have the hoards of people I remembered. I went to heart of the mists and again…. no one. I see some large groups of people just standing around in the cities but I can’t really see anyone doing much… So really… what is everyone doing now?
Lack of people, really? I haven’t noticed.. Since I had guested over on Tarnished Coast with a big red word “Full” . Then 2 hours later went back to my “High” populated server.. I see people everywhere including the higher lvl areas.. Everytime I do the Shadow Behemoth it is packed… Everytime I do Maw it is packed so full you barely even get a freakin hit on the shaman before he is dead.. Even the dragon events are full. Even the small events have people doing them.. How is it you people don’t see that? What the heck are you people on or smoking? Maybe you need to stop smoking what ever it is and take off your blinders cause it’s affecting your senses… The game isn’t dying nor is it lacking in population.

This is purely a pve thing.Unable to type or having to switch to kb is a hassle.It;s fun when soloing around pve maps,in a slow pace…other then that you won’t be going anywhere when trying to pvp against someone using a kb – mouse.Tried it at the start of guild wars 2 in august,but it’s all just way,way to slow.
Using Slayer..it fits me,i couldnt bare myself to keep on playing spvp to get a higher rank honestly,its just so…boring and way to repetitive to be any kind of fun.Wish they would introduce more titles in wvwvw,not the ones you can get in about 4 year of playtime . ..wich is basically pretty much ridiculous.But other then that,i really don;t care about titles,at all.
I don’t know what the people in this thread are smoking. I have been playing since BWE2 and it has never been more packed.
Pve/pvp/Wvwvw 3 different things.Playerbase on my server is highly declining each day,less and less people show up in wvwvw.Its happening on more servers.
Individuals matter in the sense of scouting,escorting dolyaks,trebbing etc,its one of the most important things to do imo,i highly appreciate everyone scouting when i command,and its really needed to make sure you are everywhere sooner before your enemy even arrives.
Also when you have a small strike team,you can help out your zerg by staying close..grab camps close to the comm,tag some towers,tagg the keep,lure some people away from where the comm is heading etc…small things, but needed.

Are some people to dense to understand what is so unbelievably wrong with the current ac patch that they can’t comprehend people that are stopping with gw2 untill they fix this up ? Also,weve been waiting around 8 months for something to happen in wvwvw…what do we get ?? We could use a WvWvW Weekly,end of matchup..Winner gets decided.The winner gets the best chance on a better reward, 2nd place , 3th place.Should work like a daily,chest pops up when the matchup is over,and reward is given based on how your server did thiis week vs the other servers and wich place you ended up.Currently,there is no real reward for wvwvw,wich i don’t really understand tbh.We got Pve daily,Pve monthly,PVP daily,pvp monthly…and a Wvwvw achievement section that will take you 4 years to complete the entire list…Give us a Weekly allready.

And who is we? You’re acting very grand about this but things are already being done. I guess it’s hard to keep up to date with every new hacking software that comes out and devs need to keep finding a way to counter the new bot patterns while at the same time making sure they don’t ban real players.

You cant always use squad chat..not everyone is in your squad,sometimes people need to see the textbubble for them to get your attention,so switching to /say is a Must at alot of occasions.They just have to fix this and lower the possibility to be supressed for commanders.

Obviously you wouldn’t be able to use weapons as well. Exactly like the other classes who’ve got similar skills. So…either it stays as it is now, or you get some seconds of invulnerability where you can’t do anything. Your choice.
Obviously you misinterpet this thread,as in..It Is A Suggestion,.And we should be able to use weapons since Endure pain is not a mistform,meaning our body’s stay solid being able to handle weapons,so disabling the use of weapon skills for warriors while endure pain is in effect,doesn’t make any sense at all for this class.Being unable to use a trait/healing skill,would be simply to balance it out.
@Lylandri,then they would have to rework the entire skill,since a 4 sec HP boost,won’t do much imo,and afterwards losing that hp pool,would most likely get you down right away in this game,while i agree it was an awesome skill to have in gw1,it’s quite different in gw2.
Tbh,i wouldn’t mind that at all.It’s just at alot of occasions there is much,much more condition dmg going on than any melee dmg,making endure pain pretty useless in these situations.So being unable to heal at that time while not getting any incoming dmg both from melee and condition dmg would only sound fair.
Currently Endure pain only affects direct dmg,not neglecting condition damage.Ive had it happen multiple times that even with endure pain on my hp drops to 0 before endure pain even ends and my trait endure pain cannot even trigger due to condition damage melting my hp,making Endure pain a worthless skill to be even carrying in these type of situations.My suggestion is to make Endure pain a more viable skill by neglecting the incoming condition damage aswell.

I can 1v1 a thief… until the point where they are losing and begin to endlessly stealth. They then run away, return 12 seconds later with full health, and have effectively reset the fight at their convenience.
Nevermind all the mobility they have over certain professions (Heartseeker, Infiltrator’s Arrow and +Movement Speed, for example).
Exactly,also have no real prob with thiefs,but they can be so heavily abused in the sense of being stealthed 99% of the time regaining constant hp while doing so.Its just a bad class/mechanic wich anet tries to deal with by adding traps in wvwvw to remove stealth from players…Since they probably have no real clue to make stealth balanced.
If they can actually make bosses hard,instead of tedious.The continous Aoe spamming and us being needed to evade constrantly,is not something i consider hard to be doing,its tedious and gets repetitve and old.Would like to see bosses with a new design..better mechanics than this Aoe spamming.
It’s incredible how one patch has utterly destroyed what was once an incredibly addictive game. Before patch our server was flooded with players and commanders. You could always log on an find a fight. After patch it’s like a ghost town. I logged on and found myself flipping ogres solo just cuz there was nothing else to do. Haven’t seen a commander in ages. Gradually players trickled in and we got enough to go attack Ogrewatch. Same as before, the other force sauntered in and put a few foes on their AC’s. We retreated to the hill and set up trebs. Then waited and guarded those trebs. Epic stuff sitting around watching a treb work. Enough time elapsed without any major progress that the red team decided to wipe our treb. We defended it for a bit. Then folks just quit. Not worth it to players at this point. The real thing WvW needed to get player base up is a major reward for the winning team. Imagine if there was a set of incredible, unique armor with glow effects that you could only get from WINNING weekly match ups. I’ll take a new currency, sure. People would play then. Instead we get overpowered arrow carts that destroy the karma XP train which was another reason players were drawn to WvW. Thank god I leveled my character in WvW pre-patch. Impossible now. I still hold out hope that Anet will mend the error of their ways and give us back WvW.
If they will not listen to us now,or revert back with So many complaints..it means they will never listen to us when something they implement is a thing the community doesn’t like,and it will show they go their own way no matter what,and that we just have to suck it up and deal with it.So..basically this is the big turning point.Does anet care enough to listen to it’s community,or does it go it’s own way and losing a chunk of players while doing so ?
Well..I’m officially taking a break ( got enough other games to play ) untill Anet figures out they made a mistake,and if they don’t…tough luck.I never..never whine about any update,and accept what anet does.,be it a class nerf or whatever it may be.But this wvwvw update is just Ruining the Only aspect i like doing in this game.Many other people from my server think the same way,Wvwvw is getting pretty boring and empty where i am Anet,the vets hardly log in..its a few pugs and new comms tagging because no one else will.If you honestly do not fix this you will lose a huge chunk of people currently playing wvwvw.
