He won’t last long with that build anyway.IMO its the build you pick when you just start playing and lvling,not for pvp/wvwvw everyday use.

On my pc i have seen gw2 use more then 2gb..So yeah,you Need 64bit to be able to use all of that 8Gb ram you have.

As has been explained before, no bot would buy the molten pick as it is ludicrously expensive for what it does and they won’t expect to get anywhere near the lifetime needed to pay it back.
Also bots mostly use hacked accounts rather than waste money buying games. They’ll certainly be happy if they get an account that has the pick on it already since that’s less gold wasted but they’re certainly not going to waste their money buying them.

You don’t understand. They’re in it to make real money. If they spend real money on the pick, which won’t even come close to paying for itself, they’re wasting money.
It is extraordinarily cheaper for them to clean out their inventory and fill it with a ton of picks rather than buy a permanent pick. They won’t last long enough for the permanent pick to pay itself off.

I do understand,i follow their forums..i know why they do it.I also know they dont mind paying 60$ per account,and pay a monthly fee for the bot they use.These ppl lay down big cash,they do not care,They will make it back in time anyways.

PLEASE,for god’s sake,do something to this awefull gamebreaking lag whenever SM is under heavy attack.It completely destroyes the entire Eb server no matter where you are,you can only run around pressing 1.Honestly,after all these months now im getting sick and tired of this.Make this a priority to fix,Please…This is One major reason for me to Quit the game logg off and go do something else.I dont like running around pressing 1 like an idiot while i cant do anything else at all.

I never really have any drops with smoke/fire no matter what driver i use btw,but now i’m using 314.21.

Although some people have been having this issue since beta, I acknowledge that this is not an issue that happens to everyone.

Specifically, NCSoft/Anet tech support said that they don’t see this performance problem on any of their systems for some odd reasons, and that the # of reports of this issue are not numerous. Also, if you look in page 1 you’ll see that there is at least one person for which the campfire test actually had increase in FPS. Although, that person has not responded to my post back to him, so I’m not sure about the accuracy of his post. Since he is the decenting opinion here, a few screenshots should be useful.

I still maintain that this problem affects a very significant portion of the player base.

Why should you consider my reply as not accurate only for the fact that i did not supply a screenshot ?Also,i totally forget about this thread. Anyway…i just made these now.When i had different Nvida drivers,my fps in that spot rose to about 80 when zoomed in,now they hover at 70.Simply not changing back since other games i play tend to do better with these drivers.

Its fine as it is.You’re not transmuting every week,and if youre doing so..youre doing it wrong.Also i think spending around 6 – 7g for converting gold to gems to get some transmutation stones is hardly a problem at all and imo the price is ok as it is.

The first time you used a resolution higher then 800×600 ? Yeah..does amazing things…

You should be getting Much higher fps with that.Although with zerg vs zerg,everybody suffers from low fps,but i think you should be able to do better then 5 – 10 with your hardware.How are your ingame settings ?

Reflections – turn them to off or terrain only.
Shadows – Turn them to medium
WvWvw character limit/quality – Put these to either Medium or Low or a mix.

I have the same cpu,oc’d to 4.8 ( You Need to oc that bulldozer,theyre made for it ) ..but with 2x gtx560ti @ 925mhz,.I rarely pay attention to my fps in zergs ( to busy fighting and such.. ) but i know i can manage 20fps in a huge zerg,and only really sufer from those awefull delays on skills.Is your crossfire working properly aswell ?

Never been hit by binding roots when you used a jump skill,or simply jumped in that time ? What happens is even worse,you get stuck in a jumping animation,unable to move,unable to attack..so what happens,youre standing there jumping up and down while immobilized looking like an idiot while you cant do a thing about it,being hammered into the ground…Also a serious bug thats been present for months and will get you killed when it hits you.These are 2 incredibly annoying bugs to be happening.

It’s exactly the same as it was,despite what people say.Now you can just actually See the people,that’s the only thing that is changed.The zergs are not bigger,they were always this big,and people suddenly get scared from seeing those numbers,and always assuming "were outmanned ! "..while its the exact same case for your opponent.So no,the zergs hasn’t grown larger,we are just able to see them all now.

So,you used the standard 100B build that everyone else used.And since thats not viable anymore you want to copy someone else’s build..Egh,why not just try to figure out a build for yourself ? I mean..try out different weapons ,traits..and just see what You like best playing with..its more then fun then simply copying someone else’s build.

Leveling is boring ? leveling should be fun,you should Explore and take note of your surroundings and the quests youre doing.Not trying to rush to 80 and find out you have nothing to do at the end…I dont get people trying to rush to 80,whats the point ?

Lower down your WvWvW Character limit/quality.That helped for me ! Have a kinda high end system and thought i was able to go all high with the wvwvw limits,but it made me cd alot.Have them now at low ( you barely notice the difference )and no more crashes.

To add to this, I’ve found that I have only had to lower the Character quality. After I dropped character quality to lowest, I have been able to keep the quantity at highest with no crashes.

I do get it,but you don’t.Simply put..The traits dont effect the banners because they are in the first place,Not Physical Utility skills to begin with…Like Stomp.

they are considered Physical Utility skills cause theyre the only warrior skills that deal dmg in the utility slots, so like i was saying with the trait that gives banners dmg why doesnt Physical Training apply to it.

They are not Physicial utility skills,check the wiki page i linked.A banner is an skill type wich has its own skill bar with enviromental weapon skills and one attack skill,that’s different than an actuall Physical utility skill like Stomp.

Bulls charge,Kick,Stomp and Throw Bolas are Physical utilitity skills,banners are not.So the trait only applies to the skills mentioned.

Who would go to wvwvwv to get to LA ? Most people use the mists for that…Also,don’t forget the people that actually Play wvwvw and do want to leave every now and then..you want to make it unable for them to do so ?
Also..why do you want to inspect my armor ? If that became available,i also want an option to Hide this from players since i dont want them to know,what runes im using,what sigils im using,what parts armor im using.If i dont want to tell you this…there should be no way for you to know otherwise.

This will just help you kicking players from who you think have crappy gear,sigils,runes while in reality they could have been a great addition to your party..And in any other case,these people might have never done a dungeon yet,and then You would be the reason for them not even being able to go into the dungeon at all…and may just end up not even bothering anymore since everybody thinks they have crappy gear anyways.

Just want to say, {Ewig} from abbadons mouth,you got a hacker in your guild.This Ac was at jerrifer in that left corner,just past the small bridge on the Backside hitting All the way across killing all sieges inside near the lordsroom.I tried to reproduce it later and there was no way in hell,i was able to even zoom far enough to be able to hit further then the wall.You all saw this ac,and you all help build it while there was nothing near that wall to destroy besides hitting all the way across killing sieges that were otherwise unreachable,so i wonder…Why allow this ? You all knew it…Learn to play fair ,leave the hacks out of this,we got enough lag to worry about making the game unplayable as it is,why do you people need to do this stuff ? I’ts getting pathetic.

It should be made possible for people to upgrade using badges aswell.

I’ve finally realised why I can’t enjoy or begin to enjoy this game even though it’s amazing and is in my favorite genre.

I’m not the demographic at which they are aiming for.

With the “Super Box Adventure” commercial I realised GW2 is made for the 35 year old gamers, or gamers generally older than me in their late 20s to 30s, who love this nostalgic feeling of 8bit games and bad american commercials. I didn’t grow up with this so to me it’s just not something I can relate to on any level.

With no time constrains and content available to anyone at any skill level, they are aiming this game at ppl who have a wife and possibly kids, gamers who don’t have that much time in the day to actually play games in general, in another term casual players who don’t have all the hours in the day to play. That isn’t me i’m not a casual gamer, I have hours for college work (not uni), and games. I’m not constrain by casual hours.

I’m not looking for an arcade game or an adventure game to play, a 8 bit platformer or a platformer in general. I’m looking to play an mmorpg. Mini games are fun but when the bulk of my fun from the game is coming from mini games, i might aswell be playing a real adventure, platformer or arcade game than a water downed version of such in an MMORPG.

They are aiming at multiple groups of ages…open your eyes maybe you’l see it.Don’t be dissapointed because you didn’t like this event,hundreds of other still did.And no…they aren’t all over 30….

Also,i can’t understand for the life of me,that people always have to find ways to complain about something…..I would be getting really tired of myself honestly…

Wouldn’t work since almost all spam is done with hacked accounts (ergo with a lvl80 on it).

The best thing you can do to prevent spam, is not getting hacked. Make sure your pc is virus free. Have a unique, long password with authentication and protect your mail account with the same level of scrutiny.

That doesn’t make any sense whatsoever.He’s talking about Ingame mail,so your account being secure or not does not include or exclude you from being the target of these Ingame mails.

Best thing to do,keep on reporting for now.Those hacked accounts they use,are accounts they have to Buy first…from hackers.So its costing these people a lot of money when they actually do get caught and multiple accounts all linked to the same will get closed down and they have to buy new acounts.

I think the stamp things is a nice idea,but in reality i dont think it’s gonna change anything,since they can path their bots automatically to the vendors.

The current outmanned buffs are lacking imo.I do not need 20% MF when i’m outmanned,what’s the point when you get wiped allover the place? Rather make the outmanned buff a usefull thing and expand the current outmanned buff by adding stats like below.

##% Dmg reduction
+ ##% Toughness
+ ##% Vitality

The take no armor dmg on death is a nice addition,but again it does not help me at all getting anywhere when i’m outmanned.

Players would be able to stand a chance,,and hold out a bit longer when outmannend heavily and i honestly think either one of those buffs could probably solve this problem to some extent.

I had this once Really bad when commanding,and we were capping WC.It all took a hell of a lot longer then expected ( about 30m ) in wich i could not leave because of a constant threat of getting wiped, needed to cross my legs and pray for 40m straight.All in all,it was the most “satisfying” cap yet

Instead of halfing the quickness speed.Rather put a “take 25% more dmg while quickness is active”,for all classes and on All quickness related skills,or sigils.

I just noticed today when i logged on my warr that my hammer is no longer clipping through my Stag cape !! I’m really glad with this and also tried some Greatswords,and they also no longer clip through my cape.

Good to see you are still going in guns blazing. We’ve seen some people who now see the real numbers in front of them and run away. We’re like “wtf you doing?!” Even though they used to run into these zergs before and wipe them, now they see a huge force which they now think they cannot defeat. Kindda silly.

People have to get used to it really.Strange though,getting used to seeing people on the battlefield…heh.Haven’t being able to play last few days,but the video looked impressive,huge numbers,i love it.Will run in just as hard.

This is happening for months btw…Especially in wvwvw its a deadly thing to be happening.Only way to get out is by using a movement skill ( Like whirlind for Warrior ),if that is on cd..Say bye bye,and greet death.Have posted this as a bug Months ago,with a description How to reproduce it.That it’s still present…is just…Mweh.Why should i bother to report a bug when i get no response,and i’m seeing patch after patch,the bug still exists.

Same as binding roots,it can Bug out your character Completely,if you happen to use a skill that makes your character jump,and in the meantime you get bind root on you,your character will be uncontrollable,jumping up and down unable to use any skill At All.Also happening way to often,and still present after months.This bug Will get your character killed in wvwvw.

In all honesty,i like new content,but bugs like these have been present for months now,maybe its time to Fix what you got before implementing new stuff ?

I’ve had confirmation from at least four different sources that this is an issue. Please do not dismiss this as “I don’t have this problem, so he must be him”. My hardware is well tune, I ran all the diagnostics and tests that tech support asked of me during the Ticket, and they found nothing wrong w/ my system. I had a score of 750 for Heaven Benchmark, and generally the game runs fine. EXCEPT during smoke!

I understand this is not a problem for everyone but a significant portion of the user base is affected by this performance issue that I must bring it to light.

Check the links to the youtube videos, all are the fire elemental events within the past month. Each one recorded by a different person, and in each instance there is a frame rate dip exactly during spawn where there is the smoke effect and the FPS jumps after the smoke clears.

You made that post for us to “reproduce the bug”…i tried it,and i simply replied that it does not affect me At All.I doubt your hardware is well tuned if your fps drops from 80 to around 30 when you zoom in on fire/smoke.Matter a fact,i just mainly think its your 460 that is the culprit to lowering your fps like this,eventhough you will never admit it and continue to blame it all on anet.

Current price is 5 keys for 450 gems, so 3600 gems. That’s $45 I think.

To put it in perspective, that would buy you a whole expansion in WoW, or 3 months of game time.

I think the prices are absolutely ridiculous to say the least.You can feed your family for 45$ for a few days honestly.I will never..ever..ever spend this kind of money on something as stupid as a ingame Key to open a chest that will grant you absolutely nothing of importance in return.Thank god were not being forced to buy this stuff though

Found an ez way to test if this bug affects you or not.

So to lion’s arch, and go to the refugee camp.
Stand directly over the campfire and look straight down on top of your character with the camera zoomed all the way out. Your FPS should be fine at this point. However if you zoom in all the way, your FPS will tank to maybe a third of what you should be getting.

This does not affect me at all,matter a fact my Fps rises above 80 when i zoom in ( maxed out ).The game can certainly use some perf fixes,but honestly its all down to your hardware,how well your pc runs,and how well you optimize everything.

Terrible idea.Botters go teleport allover the place to find these chests,and who will get the chest each day ? You guessed it right,the botter ! And what will happen when they all start selling them on the blc ? … you know it already.

There is no possible way Anyone is able to fire Over that wall without using a Zoomhack.Report him when you see him and be done with it,Clear proof.

I know,it’s just worth a shot for the OP to atleast try it out if he knows how to ,or otherwise let someone else do it for him.Since he is asking for a workaround without the need to buy 64bit.And this is the only, “workaround”.

It’s alot of hassle to begin with,basically you can enable the use of more then 4gb on a 32bit machine,to some extend.Google around if you think you want to try that out.

Just want to add,if you have absolutey no clue about this stuff,Do not try it out Let someone who does,do it for you..or simply switch to 64b,but that’s costly,i understand.

Every class is getting balanced one way or the other.Why are you asking btw,did you just google for the most Op build in gw2,came up with the thief perm stealth build to spam the same skill over an over,now find out its being balanced and you kinda regret it all ? Just keep on playing the game…

If you need to make a thread about lending 3g,i doubt you have it back soon or are even able to pay the person back,if ever.Just do like everyone else did and earn the money while leveling,farming,doing dungeons,whatever way possible.Can you imagine if every player in guild wars would open up a thread about lending gold for something?

Try to say the absolute necessary untill they “fix” this,try to refrain from talking about “nonsense” and only say things that have meaning and are needed in order to keep the supressed thing from not happening.Atleast that works for me,till some extend.
