Agree,the old screen was looking way better,i think the current login screeen is looking very dull,especially compared to the GW1 login screen,wich was actually very good looking.Be ready for the current login screen to be changed to resemble a huge arrowcart soon.

I feel like the thief class is fine balance wise.

That being said, it’s not very fun to fight a thief. At best it’s tedious. I dunno, it just isn’t a gameplay design that I like to fight against, or play as.

Many dev’s acknowledge this and keep clear of stealth mechanisms in mmo’s.Anet…think this is not the case and stealth is perfectly fine,although i can kill thiefs with ease at times.I do not like stealth mechanisms in an mmo,simply because it’s a bad design always being abused somehow.For now i have other things to worry about that may end up me quitting this game all together, instead of worrying about thiefs.

Basically, it’s like playing a game of prediction instead of a game of reaction. Not hard to guess which one is GW2. A player with less ms has far more chances and gadgets to win than a player with delay, who cannot use his interruptions and evades accurately. Is this ever, ever going to be fixed? This is happening in ALL online multiplayer games.Some players closer to the server,or with a better connection end up having a lower MS then anyone else in the server.Yes it gives them an advantage,but so is life.They have a better connection then you do,they are closer to the main server.So unless youre willing to move close to the server or getting a better connection,theres not much to do then trying to tweak your network by adding TcpAckFrequency,for examp.

And yet your cpu is running at 700Mhz higher than stock,so clearly,your Auto OC feature is enabled in your bios,might possibly be messing with your mem configuration,timings aswell.You need to either read up on your Mobo’s settings or take a look at them yourself.

As for no siege, its a no. Siege makes the WvW experience unique, however they do need to do some major re-balancing of all the siege and make there damage more dynamic vs other siege types rather then static such as arrow cart > catapult, ram, ballista.

This exactly…people rather run away from a fight now,safely back to their tower wich is filled up with arrowcarts,or back to a supp camp where they have…arrowcarts,or somewhere open field where they can place…arrowcarts.This game is getting incredibly dumb and people are Not helping by doing stuff like this.We should drop all the ac building and start fighting again,because trust me soon you wont have Anyone to use your arrowcarts on.

I just know some people that dislike all these siege buffs and guildwars starting to look more like siege wars,myself included.The point isthat we’re the players and we’re still in control of what’s going on.We could tone down the use of ac’s ourselves,but you guys just put even more up since the patch since your server obviously likes all the siege buffs and camping towers for hours in a row.I dislike it,this is not why i play guild wars.Trust me when i say this is one of the major reasons you are in the lead now,i dont talk bull alot and have no reason for doing so.Look at the points compared to the last few weeks,and it should be pretty obvious to what’s going on.

Well..then atleast give us the option to enable/disable the ability for us to see the titles.I didn’t like it personally,way to much txt clutter with big zergs,but if some prefer..why not give us the option.

You should only have one,but you knew that already.Anyway,try to place the smaller one on your desktop,then do a -repair on your client.Afterwards launch the game and play for a while.If everything works fine feel free to delete the smaller .Dat located on your desktop.

Currently on the FSP server in EB at the FSP waypoint keep there are 10 bots popping at the WP and teleporting away again,this is an ongoing thing,the entire day they do not ever log off and keep popping at the wp and pop away again only to rinse and repeat 4 seconds later.This has been going on for the last couple of Weeks,well over a month tbh.I have been reporting these bots on a daily base,i have send a video,screenshots,all names included to the anet exploit email,and these people are still here..

The point is that they take away 10 places in the queue,so we always have 10 people less when there’s a queue.Im getting tired an pretty frustrated of still seeing these people there every day..Since yesterday ive seen 3 more bots pop,making it now a total of 13 bots doing the same thing.Anet…DEAL WITH THIS please.What do you want me to do for you people to Finally take a look at those names reported ? I have reported them Each and every day i logged in,ive done everything to let you know you should take a look at these people.Please for gods sake,do not reply to me with a “send an email to the bla bla bla to report these people properly” because i have Already Done So,Multiple Times.

If i keep seeing these people,i will in the next few days make a new thread post all their names,and place screenshots in this thread aswell,hoping that more people will start reporting them,since you guys obviosly do not seem to care.

Seriously guys, your zergs are at least the size of ours and i highly doubt they are more skilled than ours. But i guess it helps to explain why you´re not in the lead this time. Feels better to think the other servers win only because of their numbers.

Youre in the lead this time because alot of players aren’t in the mood for wvwvw,since the latest patch.And alot are constantly crashing,myself included.Tbh,i havent seen anything special from AM all those weeks,besides camping sm,using golems,nightzerging ( yawn ) and only moving with 30+ ppl,even for a camp.I do believe FSP has better skilled players then AM individually.Ive seen to many fights to even think otherwise.Also the total abuse of now putting even more ac’s everywhere while the dmg is increased by huge numbers,is pretty sad imo.You people know how to grab the fun out of wvwv and turn it into something mindless and boring, there are no good fights against you people anymore since its the same thing each time,no matter if you get wiped or not.

The disconnects are not happening anymore for me.But i do think it may also be related to my ISP or my router aswell,since my internet was acting kinda weird aswell even after the windows reinstall.Pages not fully loading or slower then before,downloadspeed very unstable,especially with a p2p program.Getting very short disconnects that happend randomly and lasts for about 10 sec.

I have reinstalled windows
reinstalled gw2
using /client port 80
released and renewed ip adress,same for dns
setting up a static ip
reset router to factorysettings
disabling all firewalls in my router (now enabled again)

Called my isp to explain the problems but they couldnt find anything.They’l come in about 2 weeks to possibly replace my router anyway.
But for now i was able to atleast play all night without a crash.

Pages load with normal speed,download speed is still somewhat off,especially witha p2p program its just a nogo,normally downloading with 7mb+ now my max is around 300KB.. ( upload speed however seems fine).My isp has no limits and is not using any traffic shaping,so this is not the case.

Edit: Few hours later,now my downloads speeds are back to normal again aswell,all seems fixed..it was def my ISP,just a coincidence it started happening Right after the patch.

Then answer yourself this,does it sound fair to you when someone uses the macro you described to let his character use a treb to hit a tower the entire night while he is not behind his pc ?

Same here since the last patch,never had issues with this game before.The game is pretty much unplayable for me atm,even went so far to completely reinstall windows and thus guild wars 2 aswell,but to no avail.I keep crashing every10 – 30m with no error showing,all my other games work fine.

You do realize that guesting to another server is Completely free right and is Unlimited ? Unless you are planning to do a whole lot of wvwvw,wich is the only thing you cannot do when guesting to a server i’d suggest that if you cannot afford it to transfer atm to use this function.I think you can guest up to 2 servers at the same time for an unlimited amount of time.Gives you some time to see wich server fits you right.

Sometimes i do,sometimes i don’t.But compared to Guildwars 1 where i also had a warrior,i was nearly unstoppable with the endure pain build i used as W/Mo,taking over 6vs1 was a walk in the park then.If i try 6vs1 now…its about 99% im getting my faced smacked deep into the ground.

Actually literally every problem in this game now can be solved by building an arrow cart so I think his posts are perfectly valid.

He is trolling the forum with that message.Imo being immature doesnt help to solve a problem,being constructive and laying out your problem with the current Arrowcart buff instead of acting like a . . . might actually get you somewhere.

I know you probably won’t or are restricted from answering this,but i still am gonna try..How is it possible that alot of these people are being unbanned again if they just write up some made up story when you have pure evidence of these people having used a hack ?

Anet is doing alot to identify and getting rid of them.The real issue is…these people just have to write a support ticket,and they are getting unbanned again.Now that’s..a real problem.

Hackers are in Every mmo,multiplayer game,you cannot ever stop them all.You can only get rid of them and keep them out of the game when labeled as a hacker,but anet is unbanning alot of these people.

I do would like to know..Why are you people Unbanning them again ? These people use multiple bots to make Hundreds of dollars a month.They are getting banned,write a support ticket and anet is unbanning them.I Can show proof of Anet doing so.

Sounds like a good pc setup,but in all honesty 32gb is overkill ( can also give probs when overclocking ) unless you plan on using it for a ramdisk,or are heavy on video editing etc i suggest to go for 16gb with a higher speed.

Its all becoming way,way to dependant on sieges.With all honesty,strategy games use less sieges than gw does( Medieval total war,Shogun totalwar 2,are nothing compared to guild wars sieges…).Am i playing an mmo or a siegewarfare game ? Soon we wont be needed to use any skill at all..

Ac’s were powerfull enough as they were,no explanation needed..Nobody asked for this buff,nobody suggested it,I have seen dozens of Great suggestions made by players and totally overlooked by the anet dev team.Instead they Buff ac’s ,its imo one of the dumbest things they have done so far.This page reaching 22 pages now must be an eye opener for them that theyre doing something wrong…

Also,those back banners,are you guys just messing with warriors now or what ? After a long night..i think i found the culprit.Windows update KB2823324 and the “Fix” update they brought out soon after KB2840149.

I knew the first one was faulty and giving other windows related errors like
giving fatal system errors and disabling the activation of KasperkyLabs,but i did not know the 2nd one gave problems aswell.After some searching around ive uninstalled KB2840149 and Guild wars is for now working like it should.

I advice everyone to Uninstall the above mentioned updates,they are faulty and might be giving more problems then the one’s mentioned by Microsoft,google it.
Windows 7 .

To unininstall Windows updates.

Control Panel > Programs and Features > View Installed updates.

Now look for KB2823324 and KB2840149 , Uninstall them both.

For this this recent Patch Tuesday Microsoft issued a Windows Update for Windows 7, security update 2823324, that “addresses a moderate-level vulnerability that requires an attacker to have physical computer access to exploit”. Now Microsoft is telling users to uninstall this security update because it is causing “system errors” for some users.

Microsoft has not specified exactly what “system errors” are being caused by this update but they have said it is because of conflict with “certain third-party software” and the errors do not cause loss of data. According to third-party reports, the update is causing more than errors — some computers are unable to boot because of it.

Although Microsoft says not all users are affected by this issue, they are recommending everyone that installed update 2823324 to uninstall it.

I have the exact same issue only i disconnect quickly afterwards,the game is unplayable.Have tried repair,deletion of local.dat,reinstalled drivers..nothing helps.
Mind you,i never ever had a problem or crash before this patch,everything was working perfectly fine when i stopped playing yesterday night at around 2:00.

I’m getting disconnected about every 10 – 15m,totally random.Honestly,i never ever crash before,this is all happening since the last patch.I tried a repair,remove local.dat,even reinstalled drivers eventhough they were working perfectly fine.This is now about the 8th crash in the past 2 -3 hours,being unable to play like this and having to queue up everytime for EB is getting annoying.

Plug in your monitors go to Nvidia control panel and click on Set up multiple displays.Here you can identify your monitors as being the 1st or 2nd,and enable them.

You would have known already if you used google…just saying.

Also,this is a technical question,not Gw related.

They have Fractals..So imo,they can add every temporary dungeon to become a level in fractals.

That is not dumb,that’s the choise i made and im dealing with it,knowing they would in the future add more upgrades.Asking for a entire Upgrade reset for everyone,is imo Dumb.

Delete Local.Dat located in “C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Guild Wars 2”.
Delete the Gw2cache-folder located in “C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp”.

Then rightclick on the Gw2 Shortcut located on your desktop select properties and type -Repair behind the Target line "X:\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe , so it looks like.

“X:\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -Repair

Then try to start up the Gw2 client again.

If that fails you can also use the commandline parameter -image , wich will redownload and reinstall All known updates. Do this only when you have the time for it..The exact size of the file can vary across installations, although you might have to download up to 25 gigabytes of data.

It has been over a month since the patches of 3/26/13 made it so I cannot play GW2. I have seen no improvement since that date. I am very very disappointed that nothing has been done to fix the problem. All my drivers are current, I have no computer problems and can play other games with no problem. I paid $59.99 for GW2. I would like a refund if you are not going to fix the problems you created by those patches. If you have a shred of morals and decency you will refund my purchase price.

Your entire post history contains of posts about Gw2 running like crap.Please admit there is something wrong with YOUR pc and stop blaming anet..You have never in all your threads/posts not once described your Full pc specs,or told that you even tried to repair your client or delete the local.dat.All you do is complain and complain without providing Any information and just think the problem will get magically fixed somehow, and then you just blame anet some more.Great way to get help!
