I can't log in game and hard to get on forum

Same problem here. The game keeps crashing and the forum is slower than dial-up. lol
Basically, those of us in small guilds need to be getting together and helping each other get our guild halls since they didn’t scale the fights properly for smaller groups.
I’m definitely willing to help others get theirs. Not sure if I have to temporarily join your guild to do it, though, or what.
Some people don’t know a guild is, I suppose.
Thanks for the responses, especially those who do get it.
So, because some opinions differ from yours, everyone else is an idiot?
Okay, then…
rolls eyes
I’m guessing we’ll get LS content for another 3 years and then maybe a 2nd expansion. If they do what they did before, LS comes out every 2 weeks.
I don’t see why we can’t have a choice among the 3. We had a choice before HoT. I prefer the one that showed my daily and AP progression.
Having pre crafting as an option to buying is one thing, but with the new legendaries, there will be no buying, so everyone will be forced to go this grindy route if they want the new legendaries.
I think it should have remained an option, not the only way.
Nightfury is this game’s trick part of “trick or treat.”
To people complaining about people complaining how hard HoT is…
Can you PLEASE stop.
all you need to do is ask on map chat (hope you know what is it)
I’ll ignore your condescension, but the simple fact is, asking for something in map chat is not a guarantee of getting help. It’s not even a guarantee of getting a response.
Massively
Multiplayer
Means nothing if everyone is doing something else…
Whatever the original intent was, it’s now terrific, imo, that we can play through the jungle the first time with the new spec.
Big guilds often have real problems that some people want to avoid like constant drama, massive egos, and not knowing anyone since it’s all a numbers game, anyway.
You can play multiple sports with different teams. Guild 1 is for PvE, 2 is for WvW, 3 is for PvP, etc. Not all guilds are going to specialize in everything and guilds can double as teams (as in a set PvP team).
This is the reason I like the current system. I’ve never been in a guild that does everything equally well. This game has a lot of different modes, so a WvW guild makes doing that more fun, while a fractal-heavy guild makes that more fun, and then there’s nice options like a solid RP guild when I’m in the mood for that and an exploring guild for getting the most out of the maps.
you have the ENTIRE core game for casual play….
This makes zero sense. Players of both persuasions are buying the expansion and looking to keep progressing. Therefore, there should be new content for both of them.
Is casual suddenly a codeword for "bad: or “braindead”?
People often seem to use it that way, but that’s just because they don’t understand what casual actually means. It says more about them than it does about the casual player.
The problem is, an 80 and a 20 are never going to be an “equal match up” no matter what.
I thought they nerfed EOTM into the ground and it’s no longer viable…?
I dislike open world pvp because the griefing is always so over the top.
However, I have no problem with servers being dedicated to it if that’s what people want. So long as I have the option of never being there.
The biggest problem seems to be with people that bought their 300 g commander tag suddenly getting in a snit because someone else can have a picture over their heads and on the map, too.
Also, it’s stupid to assume because there are both tags on a map that the two are somehow competing.
HoT will not always be end content.
Content should be doable even with only a handful of people on a map.
If it’s cheaper to buy a pre than to craft one, the whole “it reduces RNG” is meaningless since buying a pre is also 100% non-RNG.
I have both tags, and the mentoring one doesn’t bother me. Yeah, everyone will have one, but it will take no time at all for people to figure out that a com tag ultimately carries more weight. Also, these tags are new. Eventually, when the shiny wears off, you won’t see them all that much as people neglect to use them since they don’t mean as much.
Time, imo, will solve most of these problems on its own.
Not having an issue now since there are people in the maps. But a few weeks from now? Yeah, this map is gonna feel impossible when the numbers drop significantly.
When I consider alts, I’m very glad for the change. I’d also like to have the spec sooner for playing with in the jungle. Besides, they’re not going to put it back the way it was.
A guildie and I tried to duo the fights for the guild hall, but we couldn’t do it, so the guild hall is not meant to be obtainable by duo guilds, I guess…
Sad.
It’s not about “earning” something. It’s about being able to use the new spec to do the new content, not getting it after all the new content is more or less done.
Central Tyria is old content. Not new.
I’m not talking about Central Tyria.
It just seems like getting upset about the changes because a person has gotten their spec is very, very petty.
This happens to my characters, too. Maybe they’ll get around to fixing it in a coupla years.

This isn’t really about catering to casuals, anyway. This is about being able to play the new maps with the new specs.
Besides, ascended crafting has been around for a long time. If they were going to make ascended gear doable in 3 days, they’d have done it by now. Ditto for legendaries.
I don’t agree with you, OP. I want my legendaries the moment I buy and log into the game. All of them. I also want to have 999,999 gold on every character. Why bother grinding all that stuff? This isn’t Grind Wars 2… Just give that to us ANET.
There are so many Drama Queens of Hyperbole running around today…
until they get legendaries as login rewards.
Yeah, I hear they’re adding legendaries to the login rewards next month…
lol
Puh-lease.
I think there’s a term for this.
And here I thought the Casuals were only 1 %

Casuals are the majority on just about any MMO these days. If you want to see the success of a game catering to hardcores, go take a good long look at Wildstar.
Why this surprises anyone is…kinda weird.
Some people that wanted bragging rights about being the first to have the herald, etc. are now apparently upset…
Don’t understand it but there it is.
100% rep is completely laughable now.
Although, I do wish all activities done by guild members both in groups and solo contributed to getting XP.
I have absolutely no problem with this change. It’s nothing to whine about.
Those unsolable hero points are a mess though.
Yeah, in a month, no alts will be able to get them done.
Yeah, a lot of people are mad that hero challenges are no longer soloable. Hope ya’ll don’t play alts because good luck getting help with these once everyone else has completed them all in the beginning rush.
Pretty sure I’ve heard of people that have joined guilds, emptied their guild banks, and left the guild as having received perma-bans for it.
I think it’s to do with all the new instant-80 revenents that have come in with the expansion. There was a survey, and 4978 respondents said they were maxing it from day one. The levelling rewards have added 9956 unid’ dyes to the market as a result.
This is the best explanation I’ve seen so far. Also, due to all the 80 revs, the rare benthic or whatever it is aquabreather for heavy has gone from 2-3 gold per to 24-30 gold per.
I know a lot of people are upset about the fractal reward nerf.
They need more ways to get mastery points. Once I grind my way through the bar for a new skill like mushroom jumping, I don’t have any mastery points to use to actually get it.
Empty zones on launch day do not bode well for the future….
Do you listen to Ozzie? :p
Why? Does it help them look better?
The secret recipe is not to go for special ingrecients and just enjoy the game.
The point of this is you’re SUPPOSED to try and get it done…
These hero challenges are worth ten times more than the ones that you solo’d before. If anything they should require 10 players instead of 1. See how that reasoning works?
Good point except that we’re used to hero challenges that ARE soloable and someday in the not-too-distant future, the maps WILL be largely empty and then alts and new players won’t be able to get their points, which is just, you know, stupid.
So just call your friends and guild mates, whats the problem? This game is mmo, you must have some friends to play it.
No, actually, I’ve never HAD to have people doing the exact same thing I’m doing in order to complete hero challenges before. For 3 years, I’ve been doing these fine on my own.
Modniir's Ruin precursor crafting bugged?

We’re discovering that precursor crafting still involves a LOT of RNG.

Well, they did say that this was supposed to take the RNG out of it, so…
I have no idea what to say except…
Lame?
