Guardian is fine…shelter/mace 3/focus 5 is all they have. No warrior can’t always be cced or immobilized (and they have so many condi clears it doesn’t matter). Berserk stance/defy pain/stability =invuln and does not drop orb or decap pts. Warrior gets special treatment in this game.

Wow I didn’t realize it was that easy to hit with longbow knockback. Your first shot (at 0:08) was so far off but still hit and knocked him off. Meanwhile, my staff ele still misses Gust all the time, even after I see it visually connect with the target.

The difference in running capabilities- through passive speed boosts, signets, leaps, etc. all contribute to the annoyance of the map. I also think it is annoying to be aoe spammed at the orb pickup point. Many orb pickups only seem to happen while there is a short lapse in the aoe spam action.

5 man content is good, but for groups outside the dungeons/fractals/instances i would like to have a bigger group
I was about to say the same. The 5 person group size is doing ok for instances, but does not seem necessary for open world/wvw. Commander is just simulating larger groups at the moment (in a much sloppier way than if we actually had the option for larger groups…)

Sounds powerful, but too many variables need to line up for it to work. Needs to be 1v1, perfect positioning, enemy not cleansing or stunbreaking, need to have an area high enough to take falling damage…etc.
But you seem to consider it a joke anyway (as per the title and tone of your post). So, all that aside…great idea

Definitely. The only argument I can imagine against this is that it may be ‘too convenient’ for PvE people to access. It is already possible to access TP for free by menu traveling to WvW (and then returning to PvE through HotM enter/exit or LA portal). Implementing a trading post in Heart of the Mists would reduce the amount of loading screens experienced, and would serve as another slight “quality of life” feature for PvPers.
While on the topic of quality of life features, I would like to see portals to each of the 5 racial capitals added to Heart of the Mists and WvW. I do not enjoy being forced to load into LA so often (the slowest load in Gw2).

I play elementalist for the versatility allowed by the attunement mechanic (I know many of you will disagree, but it does allow some semblance of direct damage, control, healing, tanking, etc roles), and because I like the theme of the profession and the appearance of the spells.
I am also still playing elementalist because it is the only profession I haven’t grown tired of yet. Though I have played elementalist for a long time, I still find that there is much for me to practice and learn. I see myself continuing to play elementalist well into the future, regardless of the ebb and flow of balance.

He didn’t seem to be very polished as a boss encounter. The poor thing could barely move. Not even sure what makes it such a threat.

You have a good point though, but it was in a lvl 5 (?) area so it didn’t need to be much of a threat anyway.
Seems it has been replaced by the champion hylek in that area.

I always enjoy seeing dwarves in mmos, but it seems they were phased out at the end of GW1 by their transformation to stone. At the same time (EotN expansion), asura and norn were introduced. I think (unfortunately), norn and asura fill much of the dwarf theme: norn have beards and the drinking obsession, and asura are…short.

It was a huge boss event, on the last two beta event weekends when the sylvari and asura areas became available. It took 50+ people, had a ridiculous amount of HP and really high damage attacks, it seriously took longer and was more frustrating than the original thaumanova fire elemental. I still have no idea why it was removed instead of rebalanced.
Probably not more frustrating than fire elemental was in beta, remember everything was much harder then before being toned down

What is the point of this? They seem to be marketing to people who already have the game…to make a stupid video…to get a second copy of the game? I’m not sure how these “migration” videos will reach or convince anyone who does not already own Gw2. If the contest rewarded gems, rather than a second account, they may have seen more participation.

I am unaware of exactly how stat scaling works in WvW from level 1-80, so it is possible that a low level “twinked” may have better stats than a mid/higher level (someone not yet level 80). But you should not be complaining about, or losing to “twinks” on your level 80. I am happier if low levels are able to put up somewhat of a fight rather than being free kills.

The signet is just really lame for covering conditions faster than most can remove them (unless Lyssa Runes or some other full clear).

That is right, each point in arcana will be worth less. The patch is therefore a nerf to the arcana tree (and water, for some builds). But it may open up other options, and gives the opportunity to be less dependent on arcana to play with a reasonable attunement recharge rate.

As of November 6th:
“The following changes were done to reduce the necessity of putting points into the Arcane trait line.
The base cooldown of the attunement that you just left is now reduced from 16 seconds to 13 seconds. Attunement cooldown rate now increases by 1% per point in Arcane down from 2%. The end result is that now Attunements go from 13s to 10s instead of the old range of 16s to 10s.
Base global attunement cooldown is now 1.625 seconds. Global attunement cooldown rate now decreases by 1% per point in Arcane down from 2%. The end result is that now global attunement cooldown goes from 1.625 to 1.25 instead of the old range of 2.0 to 1.25."
Still reduces base attunement CD, just from 13 seconds to 10 seconds instead of 16 secs to 10 secs.

Hello, I thought there was a change some time ago that made it so that leavers would receive a loss added on to their leaderboard position upon completion of their next tournament match. Not sure if this still holds true. Don’t worry about the leaderboard, just play to get better and have fun.

In my opinion, the first 20-30 levels of the story were good, then awful til Orr. I thought Orr was ok. And then finally, the Arah storymode dungeon was awful and an absolutely embarrassing way to ‘end’ a game as big as this.
