What I do? I keep playing my Necro, even in PvE, cause I have lots of fun with it
I’m lucky to be in a guild, which has its main aspect on PvE, where everybody can play what they want. So when we go Dungeoneering, we don’t care what professions or builds people use. As long as everybody knows what to do and we can finish the instance with lots of laughter and fun, that matters the most.
I do have other lvl80 alts and they are fun, but they always bore me after a while. My Necromancer keeps calling me back. Maybe also because I want to prove it to other people that Necro still is a viable option in PvE.
The issue with hybrid isn’t Dhuumfire or Celestial, it’s that there’s no particular benefit to choosing hybrid over straight power (outside of play style decisions). The bleeds are negligible considering you’re giving up a lot of condi damage by not rolling Sinister trinkets anyway.
If I did want to run a hybrid, I’d go full Sinister jewels, zerk back piece, zerk
power weapons (axe/focus or dagger/warhorn, whatever you prefer) with bloodlust/force and sinister scepter/dagger with bursting/condi stacking (I prefer earth, works well with Necro condi builds) and Aristocracy runes.
Can’t you guys see what those Revenants are doing to us, the Necro-community? It’s trying to splinter us! Don’t let this happen! Forget about Glint or Shiro! It’s important that we stay focused on our new enemy!

Doing a SW-run with the guild now and during VW, almost everybody on the map got DC’ed. We knew about the fix for this bug, but maybe there’s a variant on the lose?
We all got DC, without error, so no crash and it happened twice now.

Well, this is kinda depressing, but no matter what… I’ll keep going with my Condimancer and I can only hope they’ll adjust the current professions enough to compete with the Revenant and that the specializations are cheap-kitten kittenz put together to ‘please’ us.
Join a guild that just wants people who know how the handle the encounters (and are willing to teach it to newcomers ofc) in the dungeons and don’t care about your build (might even make it more challenging and fun at some points).
My Necromancer is condi-specced and I love doing Dungeons with her. It’s ofc not the most optimal choice, but it’s a viable choice as in I know what I’m doing.
What’s the point in having a full zerk profession if you don’t know the boss-fights or don’t know when to dodge this and that. If you get downed a lot, well.. there goes your DPS as well
In my guild, we don’t do speedruns, but we do dungeons and fractals a lot. We just want to have fun and complete the run, doesn’t matter how fast it goes, as long as we make it till the end with everybody ^^
I would love to see the world progress on a global scale.
Not only am I referring to the rebuild of LA, but, for example, I want to see how the relationship between Humans & Charr have developed. This whole treaty talk is still busy, but we are almost 3 years later now. And much more.
This will give us not only a whole new region to explore, but make it worth it to revisit the core content.
Little question. I’ve loved playing Condimancer since release and now I finally got my full Sinister armour set with Aristocracy runes and I got the Sinister trinkets/rings/amulets as well (thank you LS).
Now I wonder what I should do with my weapons? They are still Rabid atm, but being almost full Sinister now… should I stay with Rabid weapons or is it better to aim at something else?
I’m just gonna throw in two here. one funny one from a human who just doesn’t care, and one more serious one from a sylvari who’s tired of being told what to do.
Also, you could probably go also go with Rabid or Carrion trinkets as those at least come in ascended whereas Sinister still doesn’t have ascended versions
There are Sinister Ascended Trinkets, Rings & Amulets → LS achievements and SW vendor
Those are the ‘cross rocks’ and they have a fixed pattern (2 diagonals). But sometimes, they pop real fast, especially when you are near the border to light a fire, ughhh, which makes it harder to notice the upcoming dust.
