I don’t think you can get the armour that the Priestess is wearing, think it’s just a model.

About the female Norn, of what I can see:
Shoulders: Feathered armour set
Chest: Winged armour set
Gloves: Winged armour set
Leggings: Winged armour set

I’ve noticed these bangs as well. It seems like it’s a small part of the background noises in-game that has been amplified a lot.

Or the bugged tooltip of Signet of Locust.

Problem is that people have this urge to create a new topic instead of reading a sticky post.

And don’t forget the slowing down to combat movement speed applies when walking forwards. Strafing and going back stay the same.

Pyre was the big turnpoint for me to see good in a Charr and thanks to him, I made Charr characters.

But being in Ascalon with a Human character… I really disliked being there. I know I had to (because of the world completion), but the pain I felt because I was killing my ‘own’ people… every time I killed a ghost, I felt a dagger going deeper and deeper in my lower back…

Thankfully, I don’t have this feeling when playing my Charr characters, I just love to see those ghosts being whiped out, because it IS Charrland and they have to move out!

Problem with Orr… too many pullers!

My first Charr is grey like a wolf. My second Charr is almost blackish, like a wo-… a black bear.

And people just like white. I mean, look at how many Humans there are now with white hair.

Cooking is handy during leveling because of the xp gain you get. I use this guide: http://www.gw2wiz.com/index.php/cg1400menu/chef1400
For some reason, during leveling, I find it quite “hard” or tiresome at early lvl30. Then I go level cooking to gain some levels and I’m off again.
With my Necromancer, I leveled tailoring. Thought I could craft my own exotic gear back then. But I fell in love with the Conditionmancer and alas, you can’t craft any Rabid gear as far as I know.
Then I took Jeweler to help out a friend who’s aiming for a Legendary.

But to be honest, I never crafted anything else except for the things you have to craft for leveling your profession.

I want to relive the war between the Humans and the Charr.

My standard colour for Humans is Pale 3 iirc.

As far as I know, it does work in combat. Just remember it’s only your forward speed that goes from 300 u/s to 210 u/s. With the Signet on, your forward speed would be 375 u/s and 262,5 u/s.
The strafing and backwards speed always stay the same (but ofc with the buff applied).

They don’t stack, easy as that ^^

As far as I know, there’s no way in.

They did alter his voice, I was kinda disappointed when I first heard Rytlock in-game.
I mean, Steve Blum was one of the many reasons I made a few Charr characters, just to hear his amazing voice.

So with the Signet, you go 25% faster out of combat and during it combat.

Or maybe she’s older than she appears to be… with some Mesmer tricks up in her sleeves… :p

I fell in love with the Winged armor set as well, I’m using the main parts of it.

Why are there 3 other zones being marked on that map?

In case you are wondering, Pendragon was reffering to the Rabid attribute layout (Cond Dmg / Precision / Toughness). Khilbron’s Armor, 4/6 God Karma Armor, Dungeon Armor (CM, TA, HoTW and Arah).

If you don’t have the money for Khilbron’s armor, you can also get 4/6 Karma God pieces and farm the rest up with tokens (CM, TA, HoTW or Arah). That’s how I’m doing it right now.

Same here. So weird they fixed it for Engi’s and not for us.

I’m only lvl22, but I’ve been experimenting a lot with all the available weapons and combo’s. I started this topic to see what kind of synergy moves people use, so I can take out the most of the Guardian and learn a lot more about it.

But anyways, thanks a lot for your response, it gave me a lote more insight on the matter ^^

I recently started a Guardian and I’ve been reading a lots of topics on how to play the Guardian and such, but I see lots of different opinions on the leveling matter.

My main question is what are the must-have traits and utility skills to use during leveling? Which ones provide good combos, synergy?

I’m not really looking for a leveling guide, but I’ll be glad if I know some good parts in the Guardian life ^^

Interesting build… has anyone tried it out?

It all started in GW1. I always thought the Charr was an evil race that destroyed every landscape and every human on their path, but then EoTN came out.
The questline of the Ebon Vanguard brought you in the amazing Charr Homelands and when I met Pyre Fierceshot, I got intrigued by the Charr. My whole view on them got changed, I wanted to learn more about that race. Then a GW2-news update came up and they announced that the Charr would be a playable race in GW2. I really got excited and a Charr was the first character I made.

When I play with my main character, it hurts to fight against the Ghosts of Ascalon, I sometimes don’t even enjoy the purging :p
This is because I roleplay a bit too much when playing my main character. She’s a Ascalonian descendant (my GW1 character was one of the Ascalonian Refugees) and her family never forgot where they came from. Being in Ascalon and fighting with the Charr for their lands… feels weird for my character :p

Though, when playing with my Charr, I say “screw those Humans and those Ghost, this is our land!!!” shoots cannon

Dungeons are challenging because I’m a Necromancer. All those times I get aggro and I run around the room with the boss on my tail, all those times I’m downed because of that, all those times I have to run

How can we cast a judgment on your own taste? If you like it, keep it that way. If people say it’s ugly, but you still love it, keep it that way. It is you who plays its own character.

Kiriwar, you never had these same questions when looking at our own history concerning the women?

How come mankind made those decisions on women XX years ago? Was it a rational decision back then? Maybe, for them, in their own time. Would it be a rational decision if it would happen right now? Probably not anymore, people would oppose to such ideas, like you are doing right now.

Societies, be it ours or that of the Charr, we mostly do some things we later think about it and say “hmm, that wasn’t good”, but we learn from those past ‘mistakes’. (people back then thought they were doing the right thing). Think same thing happened with the Charr.
“Oh no, those women are always interfering with our superior plans, they are so useless, ban them all. This way our military plans and tactics will stay high in quality, yadda yadda blaa blaa.”
They could be thinking they were doing the right thing to do, but as we all know (many many years later), they were mistaken. But you couldn’t really blame them back then, imo.

Well yes, I was referring to the previous Master of Whispers, the one before Riel Darkwater.

I think we can safely assume that there have been some Master of Whispers between Jurah and the current one.

I had to mortar me out of that mission.

If you can’t afford the exotic rabid accessories, then get the rares first. Like PowerCat said, the difference isn’t that much between rare and exotic, but at least you are wearing Rabid gear which is important. Equip them with a Crest of Rabid and you’ll have a good base when aiming for the Exotics.
