People that say they’ve made hundreds in a day etc. were very lucky (like getting a pre/genesis) or farmed for 24h str8. That’s a very very small percentage of the overall players. It’s getting nerfed soon anyways. It’s not the end of the world.

This is inaccurate. If you were here opening day before they made a change, I was banking 25g/hr in gunatlet (no champ skins or precursor, just standard drops). then they changed the centuars, so it became 10g/hr. That is the ONLY change they have made. In addition some people were farming 4 gambit ooze, which was nerfed, but guess what people just went 5 gambit deadeye and make upwards of 30g/hr, still untouched.

It’s been 2 weeks out of 4 weeks, these ‘itll be nerfed soon’ are bit late.

The problem is, yes I made 100’s of gold farming the first couple of days

But it killed the game for me, like everyday now just feels like a chore and I hate everything about the game now.

That is why I spent the last couple days playing roller coaster tycoon.

People ’don’t’ want to farm, they ‘have’ to farm.

Why are legendaries tied to gold, they hurt the players more than they should.

People play for the rewards because to them, rewards= fun.

So doing anything that is time consuming, that doesn’t reward you equally in the investment, why even waste time doing it?

Peopl are grinding because they want their legendaries asap, which means finding the most efficient way to make x gold per hour. This means removing the ‘fun’ and do the same thing over and over for x hours to finish up.

That’s the flaw of the game design. All the cosmetic effects you want aren’t rewarded on skill, challenge, team-play or anything like that. It is tied directly to gold, and that’s a sad reality.

As it stands right now, pavilion is about 10g/hr, which is like working a job for $5 an hour. But on top of that, there is a diminishing return effect that kicks in around 3-4 hours, and that drops off. Some people will still stick around in there but it wont be as much gold/hr. So they switch out and go farm champions in orr or frostgorge.

So this game ended up being a grind because the ‘cool’ items are buyable. I never had to farm gold in WoW, never. I made all my gear through raids, which takes skill and 24 other people working together. but here? no., it’s based entirely on running with a zerg, RNG, or manipulation.

As someone who farmed Pav for 10 hrs last night.

Was getting 10g/hr, then after a couple hours it dropped off.

There is DR. So if you want to do it, probably max 4hrs, then you gotta do something else to reset the DR.

if you’re inside an overflow the chest doesnt appear until you go outside

I got this while doing 5 gambits at once XP. I did it using 30/30/0/0/10 and taking all the spirit weapon traits except CD reduction and taking +10% on flaming targets instead. I used the hammer, sword, shield and hounds of balthazar and just nuked him while using scepter and focus. Near the end I jumped in and whirling wrathed him, got downed and beamed him to death.

The hammer was great because it kept knocking him away from his spawns.

OP suffers from Dunning–Kruger effect.

As a guardian, I did it with scepter and highly recommend only scepter. stop trying to melee her.

That whiteout blurr is a graphical error on anets part, theres a bug fix in place now so it shouldnt happen again.

There is no esport when you can simply stunlock from 100-0 with no DR on cc, and the ability to remove stability boons

Reminds me on Mimiron in WoW. Everything he did 1 shotted you lol but it was an awesome fight regardless and he like 10 different ways to 1 shot you along with 4 phases of one shot. X D

I actually managed to get on the world top dps with my rogue on that fight, was awesome

every skill is a mark you have to place on the ground and basically stand still to place them.

They punish you if you try to ignore mechanics

the first guy has a long telegraph slam, it one shots everyone who is going to try to facetank it

Think about your options:

Zerker, finish content in 10mins
everyone doing heal/condi/tank, finish the content 30mins

time vs. reward, its the same reward all around, zerker just closes the gap.

I run 3k armour, 3k atk, 45% crit, 75% critdmg on my guard, so I can tag the aggro (slighty high tog) so the other dps can slap him down because dodging/dying means your not dpsing

its been about 30.5 hours since release, there are currently 43 on TP, at about 40g (atm)

This is also permanent and has a chance to drop from all champ bags, you can see how it’ll keep dropping in price and be affordable eventually.
