SoS NA is still pretty weak, imo. Still a server largely carried by off-hour population.
Your comparing it to your server (Mag) which actually has a very good NA.
You have to admit that our NA is a lot bigger than when we first faced off. FA is still the biggest competition for both of us, but I think SBI would have trouble.
Commander Siegerazer; never gives up no matter how badly the fight goes.
I wish I could vote for my guild leader, but if I can’t I have to give shoutouts to Lummyna of Rx and Sano of CNB. Really good folks to run with.
I wasn’t a big fan of the season and look forward to not seeing Tier 1 again for a while.
That being said, I’m glad we got so many new people interested in W3 on SoS and I think people are going to be very stoked going into the post-season.
If anything, I’m worried about how many that have been dipping their toes in will get really fired up when we start getting winnable matches again. We could start seeing some crazy sized groups.
SoS-SBI-FA. Let’s find out right away if Silver League has made them soft.
SBI waked up from the k trains after Yb and Ebay. Then with FA, so shouls give a decent fight.
But i want a match like YB/SBI/IoJ or EBay/SBI/NoYB
I’m looking forward to facing you guys again because we now bring a fully armed and operational NA timezone to battle for the first time since February. Even TC ticked low in NA against us at times.
The only potential disappointment is that FA and SBI now have a healthy rivalry that might see them focus on each other too much.
A lot of thanks to all those from TC and Mag who hate Siege Wars as much as the rest of us.
For a match that began rather lackluster, it got to be lots of fun later on.
I agree, there are never enough mesmers running with a group when you need that clinch veil or time-warp.
What’s frustrating is when you have a lot of rangers and none of them seem spec’d for DPS.
If Ark’s goal was to get a lot of kills and CNB+Rooster’s goal was to keep garri, then they both won.
Sorry if that outcome is a little too Disney for everyone, but it’s the truth.
Same story in EBG. We were farming TC as they came out of spawn for a while there.
SoS-SBI-FA. Let’s find out right away if Silver League has made them soft.
As soon as an even numbered fight happens on sos bl, TC retreats to their tower and sits on ACs. I have no words
Clearly you need torun with a more well- spoken crowd. We wax very eloquent about TC’s propensity for Siege Wars.
I agree. Trying to roam against FA or SBI was pretty frustrating. You rarely bump into groups of fewer than a dozen, and it’s usually 20+ in prime time.
Silver League is so adorable (coming from weeks where 20 is a havoc group).
Congrats to FA for rallying after a rough patch and to YB for pulling ahead of ahead of the preseason favorite.
What is this kitten? Stay on topic.
On topic, SoS and Mag collected bags wholesale, but TC is still ticking ridiculously high.
Did I miss anything?
Actually it was real fun running with the Fang/RQ combo group. We got wiped a few times but we did a lot of wiping as well.
Watching TC I think that if Mag and SoS were to push for ppt above all else and put aside their love of open field fights that the score would be ridiculous close; but what would be fun about that?
Busting TC’s zergs has been some of the best fighting I’ve seen this season.
Some corrections:
- TC adapted to larg zerg tactics very well, as they now blob just as badly when the situation calls for it (I’ve witnessed two 70+ blobs over the last two evenings).
- No one believes for a second that TC beat SoR 1 on 1. JQ did focus SoR more and TC did an excellent job of taking advantage of that.
- FA has probably gotten a little soft. Their latest additions were from T5 (and lower before that) so I don’t think they are ready for the top 4 (of course no one is ready LOL). I think that any perception of momentum on FA or SBI will crash when RNG starts back up.
- SoR sounds ready to pick itself back up. With JQ losing a few and ZDs leaving at the end of the season; they have every reason to start getting fired up again.
I hope the thinly veiled hype of SoR getting a fresh EU infusion is true.
I don’t think TC’s body is ready and we don’t really want to see them that often now that T2-T3 is getting more fun.
Or maybe it’s to level alts a little bit without having to pve.
ZzZz fights outnumbered all the time, it’s what we do, but I obviously you don’t have a clue. Honestly, you seem a little kitten-hurt. Keep it up, I’m sure your attitude will get you far in life.
PS. Anet structured the WvW reward system in a way that encourages karma trains… ESPECIALLY when there is NO ONE to fight.
I recommend crafting to level alts.
I am fully aware that the reward structure of WvW favors blobbing and karma trains, that does not change that they are a boring snooze fest and a parasite on the game.
Given your guild tags, your attitude towards play is to blob up like sheep and play with little personal risk or challenge. Since you apparently think what happens in game/forums has an impact on your life, you might want to take this into consideration. Personally I think it’s just a game and playing like a herd animal will have no negative effect upon your life, so don’t worry about it.
We try to drill this into our folks as well. If you only have an uplevel and don’t have the means or patience to take the ~50 hours of gameplay it takes to craft and gain xp via exploration; we ask them to man arrowcarts and just about anything other than join a zerg in combat.
It’s getting to the point where I look for the green arrow before I decide to rez someone.
ah w/e, I give up on the case, at this point I realize nothing will be done about it, I guess I now know what to do; join the hemorrage and tag along another zerg-fest top 3 server WvW for a chance of getting nice things. Yay.
Maybe if you didnt give up on things 6 hours after you start something you will have better results?
join the top three = winning. No other servers matter to Anet it seems
Screw the top 3. TC forever! T1.5 forever
TC beat SOR. You are officially T1.
Nope still T1.5
It’s easy to see JQ and BG still much stronger.
final league placements will be
1.BG
2.JQ
3.TC
4.SORT1 is servers rank 1-3. TC is rank 3. thus TC=T1
disclaimer I know there are no tiers…but there are so many tears.
i predicted TC 3rd place finish at the beginning of the season but it doesn’t mean TC > SoR , it just means TC got some easier matches than SoR.
That being said, SoR is a shadow of itself these days. If the first post-season match was TC-SoR-SoS, the resolution would be in doubt.
SOR is T2, QED…
T1.5
TC and SoR are in similar territory; with SoS, Mag, FA, and possibly SBI forming another grouping behind them.
IMHO JQ raised the bar for the population needed to be T1 and BG took that and took it up to Eleven.
Maybe SoR will be more competitive if/when ZDs goes home and the emphasis returns to NA and OCX/SEA.
FA apparently got some EU recently so they should be a good fight. I wouldn’t expect miracles though, as they were on life support the week before Season 1 started.
Any of you SoS or Mag commander want to start a proper karma train in one of the BLs?
sigh…. its sunday, why dont you actually play the game?
Look at the guild tag.
You must be confused.
If you kittens want to ‘actually play the game’ come to Mag bl and fight with us. You guys have almost no presence right now, really boring; this is why things like “karma train” are brought up.
Are you really calling out other servers midday, during the work week?
I think SoR would win in a SoR/TC/SoS match. While SoR is weaker then they were they still have some very strong guilds and still have ok non NA coverage. Over all NA seems to be fairly even but SoRs SEA/OCE was hard countered by JQ in week 6. As for the 2v1 on SoR, I think it would come down to who is more dedicated to the win. SoR has always been one of the best servers at defending objectives and they should be able to weather a 2v1 in NA. As seen in this week 7 match, they are still able to gain ok PPT in early NA, even if there is a 2v1 on BG, they are gaining good PPT at the end of one of BG’s strongest time zones. (Even with the loss of IRON)
It’s an interesting thought because I think it could get hellishly close; especially if SoS and TC came out strong on the weekend.
I think SoR’s pride would be on the line and they would put in the extra hours to win; but they would sweat a little and lose some sleep.
World pvp always snowballs to one side or the other, this is old news.
You americans clearly don’t know vizunah square.
Eu typically had a flatter playing field across servers than NA (at least before the season nonsense started).
With that out of the way, I have some more questions.
1) What is an acceptable amount of chat suppression for a commander? It’s important to realize that if the system remains as it currently does, with 100g for a tag, no chat suppression would mean that people can spend 100g to spam you with whatever they feel like. That’s not an acceptable solution. I think there are other things we could do, like provide a commander only channel that has no suppression but that people have to opt in to.2) How would it feel to have a system that gradually unlocked more commander abilities and icons, but that required dedication to WvW? Let’s say we added a commander line to the ability panel and you unlocked it with WvW ability points. What is the right starting price for that? 100 points? more? If that happens, does it make sense for the system to remain character based? Would requiring commanders to spend their WXP in this way limit them to the point that they didn’t want to do it? What if you still acquired the current tag by spending 100g, but you upgraded to new shapes via the WXP system?
1. I think most people agree there needs to be a limit. However the limit needs to be tripled at least for commanders as they frequently have to repeat invites to VoiP and guild leaders often recruit in WvW for WvW-focused guilds.
2. The proposal has merit, but then it fails to address potential changes for PvE commanders who might wish additional icons (monster icon for champ farming, cross swords for chained events or meta events, etc).
The concern I have for this system for WvW as it’s explained is that people will want to focus their commanders in different ways. If you get a choice of icon at ~50 WXP that would be ok, but the element of choice is crucial. Especially since defensive commanders will typically have a lowered rate of WXP income over offensive ones. Perhaps differing trait lines?
Additional Thoughts: Acknowledging that a UI overhaul is quite an undertaking, perhaps simplified measures can be implemented?
A simple (15/123) players/supply display in or next to your own supply indicator would meet the needs of most commanders.
Likewise we understand that a real-time tracking of this would be taxing on server resources so perhaps an active polling (activate with /supplyinfo, amount of supply is tracked for 5 minutes at a rate of one poll every 6 seconds?)
At first I was angry about TC coming to MagBL just to fight SoS; but then I got warm fuzzies when I realized that they were looking for fights and realized that, even on mag’s BL, the best ones are with SoS.
If by best you mean the ones they can win.
Yeah, they were winning so much that we stood back and watched AGG and NS destroy their queue map blob to keep it fair(it was a classic mishmash blob too, nothing resembling coordination; just hurling bags…I mean bodies at us.)
Well, Agg is leaving soon (sometime next week I heard), so so much for the best fights being with SOS lol. It was very kind of the Australian National Army to deliver lootbags to us on TCBL and EB this morning though.
Yeah, sadly AGG only likes to visit in the Fall on SoS. Hopefully they will find what they are looking for in EU (or wherever they go).
Luckily they aren’t the only guilds that collect a lot of TC bags.
Let’s take a minute away from trashing SoR. I think the battlefield has spoken more than any more forum trolling could do anyhow.
Here is a better theoretical. If (all servers as they are today) we get TC-SoR-SoS (I use SoS because it’s a known fact we like TC a lot more than SoR); who would win?
I’m asking because it’s a given that SoR would win a 1 on 1 vs TC; but this isn’t a 1 on 1 game.
The question being pursued here, is SoR at the point where TC would win if the 3rd participant (large enough to not be farmed, but not large enough to win) focused on SoR over TC by a favorable ratio?
ah w/e, I give up on the case, at this point I realize nothing will be done about it, I guess I now know what to do; join the hemorrage and tag along another zerg-fest top 3 server WvW for a chance of getting nice things. Yay.

I hate to diminish TC’s accomplishment in anyway (or give a sop to SoR) but it is true. SoR was the only server that didn’t have a match against SoS and Mag. TC and JQ got 2 each, and even BG got one.
SoR got doubleteamed against BG and SoS (on the heels of ZDs’s arrival and SoR’s public meltdown), and later got focused by JQ when they were down; which allowed TC to take 2nd that match.
That being said, SoR is a shadow of itself these days. If the first post-season match was TC-SoR-SoS, the resolution would be in doubt.
I get what the OP is saying. Queues and lags were reasons that encouraged population distribution.
The current situation is improving a lot. With JQ and SoR finding disappointment in the season; many of their guilds are branching out. This is leaving BG with a less satisfying experience and they will begin to explore options.
Now we have EotM; creating even fewer reasons for population distribution; along with the hovering threat of a season 2 (and a possible revisit of the chaos the first one has wrought).
The simple truth about population shifts, is that no one transfers when they are winning. There has to be a catalyst or some sort of impetus. A dissatisfied guild will stay on a winning server, biting their tongues. The second there is a problem (long queues, lag, shift in fortunes) they will move.
If ANET keeps removing negatives of stacking; they won’t move; and people will continue playing while dissatisfied and will eventually quit.
Lastly, one has to wonder if encouraging stacking is really the best use of limited development resources.
Hey, you’ve been great. I’ve seen you running around quite a bit lately and I would have never thought you were a newbie to WvW if you hadn’t said so.
At first I was angry about TC coming to MagBL just to fight SoS; but then I got warm fuzzies when I realized that they were looking for fights and realized that, even on mag’s BL, the best ones are with SoS.

transfer to Sea of Sorrows.
While you might worry about a lack of things to do during your primetime; SoS is positioned in a cluster of servers that have very active EU numbers.
You would have a great lead in from our Oceanic and SEA numbers, and a fast growing NA contingent that will not let your hard work go to waste.
No matter what, good luck with your search and eventual new home.
I don’t know what to believe.
We have a guy from DR asking how best to use an 80 person zerg all on TS3 (I haven’t seen anything like that in T2-T5; the closest thing being last night’s blood bath at NWT on TCBL); and people on ET talking about GoM’s “huge” nighttime presence.
I don’t know if these kind of things are “in perspective” or exaggerations.
I personally think both NA and EU could shave off a tier and do just fine; but I haven’t seen any numbers to support or deny this.
DIBS ON EHMRY BAY MERGING WITH YAK’S BEND!
5 hour queues in NA, still loses to off hours coverage?
The problem is your just assuming that the lower servers are dead, they maybe just dead for WvW, you have to get someone interested in it, I would say that after the league you will see a lot of guilds moving about, in order to get better battles in the next season,
I heard that the Silver league was more fun to be in than the gold league, and that’s saying something.
Only SoR has not enjoyed Gold League. I think only FA and YB, and maybe NS are happy with their Silver League experience(s).

Hockey.2417:
SoR bay on JQBL…………lmbo hahahahahahahahaha x 10
What’s funny? We farmed you and BG for over an hour, received many bags, and had a fun time.
We can go to bread happy!
Obviously your Sor is superior, as shown your performance against TC last week, and 3rd again this week. (or is it “weak”)M8
you’re drunk again, go home.
wow SOR still has some balls to chest thump about farming, just wow.
Can’t say i’m too surprised, they’re the Kings of NA after all! (self proclaimed ofc
)
I always thought that was funny that they would claim that considering they have the only T1 South American guild. Lunatacos is Breadzillian right?
Whoa whoa … they do NOT have the only brazilian guild thank you very much. We at the Coast who love our beaches cannot have our ladies without proper wax job =)
^^ ERP 4life @ TC <3
Borlis Pass had/has a Brazillian guild as well.
Even Maguuma’s PvF is low energy. I’d blame tryptophan comas but they were alright Friday and Saturday.
We particularly could use a defensive oriented guild right now. We can take a lot of territory and we could use some dedicated siegemasters who are interested in keeping our gains. We regularly face servers who prefer backcapping over earning their territory and some folks could have a lot of fun ruining their day.
Must be some serious drama on those servers, RQ was very cooperative and helpful on their first raid night on SoS; and their members have gone out of their way to work with others in our community..
They will have to wait until at least 4 servers have medium-to-low populations before they decide to merge any.
While WvW is the only thing that really differentiates various servers, you have to take into account fringe cases.
A great example is Anvil Rock. Tumbled to last in WvW, but has the best SPvP population in NA.
I can see that the bottom two in EU are essentially dead weight but the 3rd T9 server is many time more viable.
Lastly, server merges are seen as a show of weakness in a MMO. When they finally decided to deal with having 30 empty servers in SWTOR, all they did was accelerate the transition to F2P.
I think a lot of it was the extreme bandwagon that took place. It seemed a cynical overreaction to leagues and the promise of easily obtained rewards; plus it decimated 3 servers’ populations in the process.
SBI as a whole does not deserve the villain title, but everyone wants to make an example out of SBI to show that fairweather transferring will not be rewarded.
PS if you send mes you up back, Santa will burn your houses down
Take him back.
Please.
Anyone take the guy.
We will pay you.I support this ^
I support this ^
I support this ^
What you don’t feel pride at having a guy who pops his tag on when he flies into enemy held keeps and rages when you won’t accept his port in?
Now FA we know that this weekend is traditionally associated with gorging but save some SBI for Gold Leaguers next week. Personally I’m hoping for FA and SBI, but TC deserves a piece before mold sets in and it has to be discarded.
No drama, it’s just too early for it and it does come across kinda snide. "Match is over, let’s karma train.
So I’ve heard talk that RQ transferred to SoS. Please JQ, take them back, I’d like to not fight Novus again for a while.
Better yet, BG, pay them to come there. I dont care, as long as I dont have to deal with his spy accounts.
He brings up a good point, BG. JQ donated a guild towards the SoS victory fund, you should be less miserly and donate as well. Tis the season.
PS if you send mes you up back, Santa will burn your houses down
Any of you SoS or Mag commander want to start a proper karma train in one of the BLs?
It’s a little condescending to suggest this before the weekend is over. Even JQ had the grace to wait until Tuesday to ask.
We’re trying to break our pugs of expecting karma trains in tough matches so we’re not interested.
I had fun leading SoS today in EB morning against tc militia and Sosbl in evening against STUN/NAGA etc. Nice to see TG again hope you guys enjoy it on Mag. If you guys want you can let us cap all of SoS and keep hills we can keep meeting north of hills at camp for fights for rest of week instead of running around
You guys were really organized and tough for a pug zerg. We were seriously impressed. Good commanding skills!
He is the PuG whisperer. The rest of us can’t tag up without yelling at them the whole time.
They were so bad at one point that Jericho started speaking in tongues (that many curse words strung together can’t really be considered speech though).
Some great fights today but the most devastating force on the field had to be SoS PvE’s. I’ll take a 40 man TC Zerg over these rallybots any day.
Has Maguuma decided to be be TC’s prison bi…. I mean “severe companion”?
Orange swords on SMC for 90 minutes straight, not a peep. TC takes their towers, not a peep.
We tap their keep, whole zerg arrives.
If you were going to play for second, then why did you bother getting ahead of FA; at least with you guys we thought you might like to tussle with the stronger servers.
Well I think turnout tonight has shown one thing. BG NA does not have families to go to bread with on Thanksgiving weekend
They were sacrificed as part as the deal to bring ZDs over
TC dying server
ctrl+t
um why are you making me open a new tab !!
better question is why he claims to be a zerg buster on TC.
I was hoping that the effort to beat SoR would have exhausted TC, obviously it hasn’t.
Guess we’re just going to have to work hard to curb that enthusiasm.
TC already has a lead thanks to SoS and Mag bringing their worst features to the fore. Mags gunned hard for SoS off the bat (their holdings got better when they straightened out and gunned for TC).
SoS was awash in unguilded ranger pugs again.
Just to be fair I played like crap too. Very unsatisfying start to the end of the season.
At least it was fun fighting PYRO and PINK.
Hopefully our night crew will have a better time.
