Love this build, but hate having no form of swiftness with focus. Wish we had some kind of utility ability or something to give us swiftness.
No more maps, but perhaps, replacement and updated maps overtime would be nice for different scenery. Maybe even new castle design.
I would really like to see people being rewarded for the boring and less exciting things, like Yaks and upgrading. Currently you can spend a lot of gold upgrading things, only for it to get run over by a zerg so you basically just wasted gold and got nothing in return. Especially when you’re on lopsided servers that have no EU coverage and everything you bought is taken like candy from a baby overnight because there’s nobody there to protect it.
I doubt that. Guess I should’ve used a different example for all you mesmer theif whiners. It’s the same with my 12k health ele too. I live longer easily, and do more damage.
I run a mesmer in full berserker in WvW less than 1k toughness. And then I have this warrior 2057 Toughness 3267 armor, yet I’m unable to take a hit at all. But on my mesmer my survivability is amazing with full berserker?
I don’t understand this game. Is there no point in toughness and vitality? Because I may as well be running full berserker on my warrior with how fast I’m dying… and thats counting sheild block, endure pain and trait that activates endure pain at 25%….
Why do I just die? It makes zero sense to me.
I know I’m done with it. It almost seems like the real nerf to portals was to nerf mesmers so bad that nobody wants to play them so they don’t really have to change portal.
I imagine my GM is still going to force me on my crap mesmer which is dissapointing, going to make WvW not so fun for me anymore being a portal kitten.
Portals are fine. Me and my guild have crushed portal bombs on many occasions. They’re beatable. Thus fine. Just because you’re running around with a mindless zerg that doesn’t look for the big pink thing on the ground makes you the bad player not the portal. It’s easy to crush if you watch for it, then simply aoe the crap out of it. Things die, fast.
But, as with all MMO’s, enough whining gets their way like a crying child. And supposedly portals are going to be nerfed for all you bads.
Don’t worry, you’ll still lose.
TC isn’t too far behind IoJ, if they continue their blowout in T3 IoJ is likely to go down. SoR simply doesn’t have the coverage to be T1, which, after playing on JQ I think I’m perfectly ok with sticking in T2/3. Good matches, and queue’s aren’t horrendous. And aside from bragging rights there’s really nothing to offer for being in T1. And even then all you get to brag about is having 5+ hour queues. I’ve on several occasions read and heard people make claims to gaining more than 10 levels per craft. But I don’t understand how it’s possible. Am I missing some element here? Because everytime I’ve done it under ideal conditions, with craft booster, and over 20% bonus from WvW and I’ve never gone over 10 levels. Honestly I think it’s questionable if I’m actually even getting 10 full levels, feels more like 9 or 9 1/2.
Is there something besides the booster and wvw that I’m missing? Or are these 10+ level claims bogus?

L2P imo. To say SoR is fighting for second place is hilarious. Because all morning on IoJ we we’re putting all our forces into taking bay, but SoS had every bit of their PRX forces to defend it all the while IoJ was trebbing north bay. We finally got fed up with IoJ hitting hills and our redwater camp so we decided to mess you bads up.
SoR is getting burned out. We have little to no oceanic presence, and the NA’s staying up all night are just tired. I’m one of them and this is just getting exhausting. Already have outmanned and I’m just done getting zerged… Nobody is giving up. But there’s just no way to keep up with anyone overnight, already getting outmanned buff on first day.
The crying about spawn camping is silly. Use the other exit! Good lord… I’ve been in similar matchup situations where we we’re getting so called “spawn camped” and guess what. I walked out the side exit solo with no conflict. There’s 3 exits people. L2P imo.
While I don’t think spawn camping is a cool thing to do. It really doesn’t exist. And just goes to show there’s a severe lack of any coordination on the servers of people who complain about it. There’s several exits. You don’t have to keep bashing your head against the one being “spawn” camped.
Bad form? Don’t see why. The server stomped you, so until you can show some good thought out tactics like using another door, they should continue to pound you down until you start thinking before complaining. Maybe then you wont get stomped so hard.

But you fail to mention one liiiiittle detail: by that time, you already had all three orbs. they were taken in the first few hours after reset. It’s pretty much impossible to win on a capped map against the team that has 3 orbs.
And that was SoR strategy: take the 3 orbs in the first few hours and win the week.
If you want to call that balanced, let’s respectfully agree to disagree on that topic!
Did the same thing to SoS, still lost. Your logic is fail.
Lot of it is attitude and if your going in with a “Oh they already have the orbs, we lose” attitude, then yeah, you will.

Just because you don’t have the outmanned buff, doesn’t mean you’re not outmanned literally. Keep that in mind.
So you would say taking a tower with nobody defending it, is just as much work as one being defended with tons of seige and 20+ players?
I’d like to know what you consider NA primetime. Because around 10 EST is when numbers start to fall. People gotta work in the morning.

That makes absolutely no sense seeing as SoR during NA primetimes has held 300+ PPT all but one day in this match. The ONLY time you guys get us is during oceanics. Like right now for instance. But literally just a few hours ago we had 300+ PPT. Yet right now we have outmanned in all but one BL.
I completely agree with u Aron to be honest I wish all these bandwagon new transfers would get out of SoR que times are getting ridiculous, and apperant lay so is the blotting and hacking we never had this problem before I would much rather be in the 10-15 rank getting good fights tan this crap we have going on now

When your queues get to 5+ hours, then you can complain. Most of your so called “bandwagoners” came from a server that was destroyed by free transfers. We simply had to leave. Don’t blame us, blame free transfers.
Oh get over yourselves. Stop trying to blame an entire server for one persons cheating. Acting all high and mighty like your servers never exploited any orbs.
Unless you have a screenshot of who did it, and reported him. Stop pointing fingers like children.
Eh can’t hurt to ask for updates on here though. Sometimes that site goes up to like 5-6 hours without being updated.
They’re poor sports. Just take the lead and they’ll all give up.

You can’t expect programmer’s to answer developer questions. We already know they’re working on the technical issues. It’s all the other crap that needs attention. Basically everything the OP said and a few others.
Have to say I agree. Nothing I hate more than being left in the dark. I’m personally OK, with many of the issues in WvW, just because I have confidence that they’re working on it. But that confidence is fading, so for them to simply speak up and tell me it’s gonna be ok and what they have planned, I might feel more relieved and stop doubting them.
Love downed state. Adds a fun element to combat.

That’s what’s supposed to happen. It’s a vicious cycle yes, people having to break away from friends. But if TA never broke up. They would forever destroy the rankings. As soon as they stop transfers all servers will be locked in stone and have little to no change ever. So dominating servers would always dominate their tier, and bounce back when they get dominated after moving up a tier. Now THATS a vicious cycle that I’d rather not deal with.
All top guilds on one server is what’s not healthy for the entire community. Not even that own server. People like to win, but they like a challenge. I guarantee HoD got bored pretty quickly. I know many people on JQ did after the very first win. And almost instantly what happened to HoD started happening to JQ. And will keep happening until the guilds break apart. Guilds are what win these. Not the mindless zergs of people fighting over the island between briar and lake.
Actually what happens is the #1 server has the alliance of guilds get bored with it and disperse off to support other servers. Thus breaking things up so we’ll eventually have some good matches. Of course what the actual rankings are don’t really mean anything, and in reality WvW hasn’t even started yet.
Free transfers are breaking up communities. However it’s like this for a reason, and that’s a better future. Big guild alliances needed to be broken up, or they would forever dominate everything. By keeping them open, it gives the big guilds an option to break apart and build a new community.
HoD and the TA, would forever be unbeatable without the transfers. It does feel like it’s for the worst, and can be rough having to part with friends. But if these guilds didn’t break up and support some of the lower servers, all of WvW would be lopsided. And most matches would be over by sunday or monday left to drag on the rest of the week. The more and more these guilds disperse the more close and fun matches we will have.
It’s on a pvp zone… they even put traps in place to use on enemies. How is that griefing?

Probably mostly people who just transferred here that somehow find this fun. This is incredibly lame. I guess I gotta go sPvP or do some dungeons or something.
On a saturday? Sigh… JQ’s been defeated by free transfers. Winning like this is not even close to what I call fun.

For JQ I’d have to say it’s a toss up between Indo and Daboss. Both are fun to play with and have different strategies. Indo uses some more unique tactics where Daboss tends to be more of a brute force type of guy. Either can be fun to play with and both are very successful.
@fixit. From the core JQ folks we are truly sorry for that. Unfortunately ANet has allowed so many scrubs to transfer to our server I don’t even recognize those two guild tags. I can tell you that the people that have played on JQ from the start do not condone exploiting in anyway, I can’t speak for the others.
DC is a Korean guild. Dunno about the other one though. Either way, it’s too easy to move around and join any guild these days, it’s really not fair by any means to call people out based on server or guild. Heck even a bad enough apple will cause grief to its own guild if it can. Who’s to blame then?
It’s easy to point fingers, but unless you took a screenshot of every possible entrance as well there’s really no way to prove it, there is a water gate as well.
Be happy it’s only seige and not all 3 of your orbs on day two all within an hour. I’m surprised that little stunt didn’t completely demoralize JQ. Or maybe it just fueled the fire.
Surprisingly even with all the supposed bandwagoners, queue’s have been more reasonable than ever. However that could be due to our breaking off the lead and pretty much sealing the deal. Also I don’t play during primetimes so maybe those are bad. And weekends are almost always horrifying even before winning. Took me 5 hours once this last weekend. Of course I don’t know the secret so I might have been screwing myself by requeuing, but others have told me I should, and then not zone.
Luckily I’m always on friday during change so as long as I don’t crash or d/c I’m good. Saturday is a different story though. However these free transfers are still bringing the type of people over here that I really don’t want to play with. People who want to be carried, roll the fotm class… just… ugh… Get out! Learn to play for fun. Winning is fun sure, but steamrolling WvW is boring. That’s why falling to tier 2 is horrid.
Free transfers and the short cooldown at this point should be stopped. Paid transfers, and maybe a week cooldown or something. That’s more reasonable. Then people will stop just rolling over to the winning server like many of the people have posted here just to be “undefeated”. Or at least stop letting people roll right into the overpopulated ones.

It’s fine. Fix rendering. Then you fix portals. Portals are not the only issue with rendering. So unless they plan to disable a lot of things, it’s fine. Just fix rendering.
It’s overnight when they definitely outnumber us. Like taking candy from a baby. No one there to defend. Just an open world for you guys.
Outmanned buff earlier in 2/3 borderlands on JQ. We just can’t keep up in numbers, I know a lot of us are pulling all nighters on this game just to keep us up but people are getting worn out.
Well having a bunch of oceanic players that don’t WvW doesn’t really have anything to do with this thread. I’ve been playing since the beginning and the only time we have nightly presence is when our few commanders pull all nighters, they manage to keep people on until they leave.
So if these guilds even exist, they don’t WvW, so them being on our server is irrelevant.
I play during those hours, so if thats true I’d like to know where they are, and if they’re more than 5 people. I’ve on several occasions on one of the maps had to do a hills defense in the lord room with 10-15 people being the very last stand for anything even on the map. There is no one on until about 5 PST some of the asian guilds get on.
As much as I’d like to win with JQ I just can’t see it happening. We can’t keep up on the hours, oceanic guilds just kitten us overnight when nobody is on. Commanders are pulling late nights over the weekend, but you just can’t expect them to keep it up all week. So we just get withered down.
Yeah, would really be nice if there were badges obtained from claiming stuff. Because it really sucks when you’re playing a support or something other than aoe dps. You get so little bags.
The nerf is fine if they just make more ways, to balance it out for other profession types. Which if they made it from claiming stuff it would be more fair.
Is there a guide somewhere to EVERYTHING that’s worth points in WvW? Because when servers first went up, ET was keeping right up with JQ even though JQ was up by 50+ points most of the time.
Now I know stuff like Yaks and Sentries are worth some points, but I’ve seen the score sometimes go up by 1, and then sometimes go up by 4 or 5 by doing the same thing. Is there any other potential things that are worth points? Quaggans maybe?
