There wasn’t much counter play either, just black powder, heart seeker then try to land backstab and repeat for the most part.

using refuge was a mistake to begin with
a skilled d/p thief does not need any 1 click stealth, period

that’s my playing style sometimes. Shadow refuge to gain 10stacks of might then d/d spike burst when it ends but unluckily he just evaded it. every people has different playing style sorry if u didn’t like it

I started playing thief one day ago for sPvP.

I had 10 players harassing me saying I am a terrible player when they are on the ground dying. I never had received this much harassment while playing any other profession, especially the engineer which is my favorite and best class. Is this a thief only thing or is it just me?

maybe you overuse HS. HS spam spam when their HP is @ above 50 or 60% is not a good idea. most newbie thieves doin that. i usually HS when goin to stealth or when enemy is atleast 30%hp below

u also need to feel where he is, it is not simple as BP+HS then BS = win! its easy to watch yea but its really different when actually doing it. it’s really hard to manage initiatives on D/P if you don’t have the trait that givs 2 init/10secsand most important thing read your foe’s movement and skill. how he play and Timing!!. some example recorded recently . by someone requesting for a duel

this is my favorite build not until april 30 RTL patch! i think this build aint good at all when mug can’t crit at all. so now im running 0/20/30/20/0 preparing for massive buffs and nerfs. im running d/p s/d the steal boon of s/d is gonna be fun and the steal w/ 2k+ heals.! very nice for 30toughness thieves D/P users.

You could have probably ended that second fight much faster if you were running SB. You could have kited him after the initial burst and he wouldn’t have been able to land a CnD, would have gone down after a couple hits. P/D doesn’t have many stealth options outside of heal/SR if they can’t land CnD.

yea you’re right. but we do in normal way. and he has fast reaction to always breakstun my D/D spike w/basilisk even if i advance my cloak and dagger followed by steal mug his hands too fast to breakstun. so in the 2nd duel my D/D is useless and my shadow step utility seems useless too. id rather get roll of initiative nxt time

I just fought another D/P thief in WvW while running condition P/D D/D and after 10 minutes it was again attrition and ended in two bows and walking away. Used to be an easy win for me but people are getting better… Embrace usually isn’t enough but some of these guys are rocking.

look heres a trick . Withdraw can remove conditions crippled, chilled. if i have tons of bleed and crippled or chilled @ 70%hp. ima goin to withdraw 1st before i go stealth. to remove stacks of bleed (with shadow’s embrace trait)

Solution could be found here:
a) Make BP+HS add reveal debuff on damage,
b) BP+HS combo only gives 1-2 second stealth.

highest crit dmg u can have in game with 10% crit dmg 100precision food is ! 122%crit dmg full ascended. with dual wield crit dmg weapons! u will only get 121% crit dmg when your wielding 2handed weapons

mug’s dmg base on your attack power. but in my personal experience mug and CnD almost has same dmg so even if its not crit. still has enough dmg to do. imagine 2k heal is huge! for 30toughness trait thieves! 30toughness= 300 healing power! so better adapt yourself to a overpowered D/P meta build!

this is bad news for mug spike d/d build. so as my build goes now. d/d D/p… after this patch i won’t gonna use D/D anymore.. id rather adapt another build. hmm maybe just gonna focus on D/P then SB or S/D. since mug can’t do crits

In the multiplayer PC game Starcraft 2, cheese is a tactic or strategy that is considered to be overpowered and is not sportsmanship-like. It is used in a derogatory fashion by players, Youtube commentators, and tournament announcers in South Korea.

finally a real clear answer… i played SC1 for 3 years so i know what u talking i guess. yeah caltrops nerf to be more balance i once stepped into his caltrops and then just 20 stacks of raining bleed on me! which is not a gud idea .. gonna evade it nxt time. and in this duel i forgot to change this shadowstep utility. which is useless in 1v1 didn’t use it not even once.

the only thing iv noticed is that.. u aint using the #3 shadowshot then bacsktab. instead u always using the steal and infiltrator’s signet.. and when melees harassing u. just black powder stay in radius they can do nothing about u. theyre perma blind! then HS when black powder near to expire.

Althought I know that I should make a better use of BP, I often willingly don’t use shadowshot to backstab, because I want to save initiative for BP+HS rotation

i mean if u have enough initiative why not just use it to cast ur bacsktab. when u hav still 7 initiative u will be fine. plus infiltrator’s signet, quick recovery and infusion of shadow trait. so dnt worry about initiative when well traited

better!. at this case. d/p and s/d wud be the best choice. i need to re roll after the patch im so excited about the 2k lifesteal! kitten my d/p style wud be too OP!

Good video, only thing i could comment on is that there are plenty of times you could sit in your BP and do an Auto Attack chain before HS into a BS.

4 secs is fine in wvwv and spvp, since in that 1 second gap you can blind or dodge

the majority only clamours for 4 secs reveal in PvE, which disrupts their rotation for DPS in dungeons,

What do you have against d/d?

Anyway, id say stop wasting your signet for +1 initiative(therefore change the trait in critical strikes to the one that procs fury every 45seconds),pick on better targets (w/o 3 guys helping you ) and use hs to get closer to your enemy instead of d/p#3.

it really depends use #3 when enemy is @ 600 – 900 distance…

i just recorded this earlier, wanna share why i really like D/P D/D spike burst then switch to D/P . especially black powder+finishing really helps
