I know what I am doing, I stay true to my words. I am the one that charge in and fire everything before anyone has time to react and dodge. Like other said, hitbox is still an issue as well LoS.

Fire Grab is still an issue for me, sometime I am right in front of my target and it just “Missed”.

I am not sure if it was the latency but this is dumb. 50% of the time my Fire Grab is a fail. Only successful if I do it in front of a zerg. It will hit 2 guys.

Yes, we really need this. I hate to open my bag or Hero windows and look around for my main weapon + other trash loot gears.

I wouldn’t say no, I can run GW2 fine with my MacBook Pro bootcamp mode. That is even slower what he have. You can look up MacBook Pro 2010 15" model CPU and 330M GPU.

I can still play GW2 at low spec. 30FPS PVE world. WvW… well good luck,

Get the HD7750
It is currently the optimal option to keep your system alive for a bit longer.
All other cards just aren´t worth the seemingly cheaper price.

Though you still won´t get very happy with this game as it hates AMD, and that AthlonII 220 just doesn´t cut it.
I have a PhenomII 965 x4 and I about gave up on this game.

But at least you´ll be able to play other games that way.

BTW if you have Win7 installed, do yourself a favor and get the free ISOs for the 64bit version from Microsoft and reinstall your system. You´ll use your full 4GB that way and especially GW2 will run with less problems.
You can register it without problem with the key of your current 32bit version, that you hopefully haven´t lost.

Getting that video card into his system doesn’t do anything. He will still see 4-5FPS.

He just need a brand new computer. Build one.

Update your driver to 310.70. Reset your Nvidia to default settings. Turn off overclocking software on GPUs.

This is where you’re wrong about RPG. First Person View is appreciated to have in RPG (Role Playing). We’re not truely a roll-play but we do love to film and make comedies, cinematography, photography and etc. out of RPG where we can have each person with their own character to emote.

You need to install the Steelseries Engine (driver) to make them work. I have a Sensei here, it’s the same thing.

Armor of Earth is useful if you want to cast a long ability with unwanted interruption. To my issue, it was probably too many thing going on that everyone was hitting me with all sore of abilities. I’m always the one charge into the zerg and break them.

Actually Elementalists are the lowest HP and Def in the whole game. We trade off alot of firepower for defenses. What about you?

I activate before being crowd controlled and or activate while being crowd controlled. It still doesn’t do anything except the 33% damage reduce did works. Not the stability.

I was about to film or for machinima. Without the first person view mode, I am forced to sit behind a wall and /sleep my char to film.

I don’t understand why we need character to be included. What is the point? Isn’t the same for filming other people characters minus my own because I am the camera man?

I’m a bunker Ele and I’m downed so quickly by a glass cannon Thief who just burst 22399 dmg under 10 seconds excluding the Wolf bite me at the end. The red text “not enough energy” is where I went downed and spamming those heal abilities.

Most of the post on mesmers and other “OP” classes are due to ignorance. I’m a clicker and I still manage to beat ppl 2 v 1.. it’s really a l2p issue or I just have more skill than those players. Get some more experience with your class…I had to go through tons and tons of builds just to see what benefited me the most. I hardly ever loose 1 v 1 unless I’m trying out a new build. People need to time their skills and use a strategy to beat me. Not just for example ( steal BS) that doesn’t usually work on me. Why? Cause you’ve been doing it for 2 months, did you think I won’t learn from this? Seriously I barely loose 1 v 1 anymore, but that doesn’t mean I never loose. I still find the ocassional ranger, thief, warrior, necro, mesmer, engineer, or guardian who actually outplay me. Not because of their burst but because of their skill.

P.S. I don’t use the burst spec everyone’s so fond of. So please don’t generalize.

I’ve went full range of Elementalist ability, From Staff, S/D or D/D. From Glass Cannon to Bunker. As of right now I do perfectly fine with 1v1 but you do NOT know how complicated and so much effort on Elementalist in other to kill someone. It’s a fact, I don’t die a lot from people but hey, how many abilities I have to use in other to kill someone vs someone only use 5 skills on the bar just to kill them slowly.

Especially your Mesmer, luck to be in party so I can mark you and I can identify the real one instead of the clones. I still get whacked by your clones like huge chunk of HP while running at you. I am not a glass cannon. S/D or D/D I’m at 17-18k HP with full 2000 Toughness at 2800 Armors.

I can’t speak for other profession except for Elementalist and Engineer. These two professions are the most complicated to master everything. Ele has 50 abilities alone on the left bar including trait and dodges abilities. + other 5 on the left. Eng has full kit to choose pre-combat.

I built my friend the same spec except the GPU I sold him the HD 6970. He can run GW2 maxed ranging 40-60fps in PVE. 40 average in WvWvW

You need to build a new system, this is too old.

Not many AV are fully compatible with Win8. Avast is one of the fully supported, AVG and some others.

I’ve tried many different driver version, also those are not from the official motherboard site (because they are mostly outdated).

One more note, spinning my camera around in GW2 with Windows 7 load faster than on Windows 8. On Win8, it struggle to load anything in my view that causes the FPS to drop a lot. On Win 7, it only drops for 0.5 sec not like 1-2sec long.

It also lock up for 1 sec on Win8.

Same hardwares and on SSD.

I’m not saying it’s bad but I am saying that if you plan to run CPU bound games on Windows 8, you will experience the micro-shuttering. GPU bound games don’t have any of these problems, really.

I ran GW2 on Windows 7 for the whole Betas and 1 month after release before I upgraded to Windows 8. This is the time I notice some shuttering FPS and I switch over to other games. There don’t seem to have this issue. I decided to wait and keep updating drivers to see if it improves but it is all the same. I’ve been running Windows 8 for 2 months until now I just switch back to Windows 7 completely.

Now back on Windows 7 with GW2 CPU bound game, no more shuttering FPS at all.

Please note, this issue arise with SLI or without SLI enable and in Windowed or Fullscreen mode. This is definitely has something to do with the new CPU management in Windows 8 that causes all the shuttering. Or if Anet can look into it to see if they can improve on Windows 8 support with extra instruction for the CPU.

Again, GW2 on Win7 is like smooth as butter, but not in Win8. High FPS in Win8 but inconsistent spike FPS from time to time.

This is important because a lot of new computer will be base on Win8 OS, many new or upgraded user will end up having the similar effect. It’s not that bad but I can see and feel the differences if you play Win7 and switch over to Win8 and run the game again on the same machine.

This is not specifically about my system hardware, this can happen on any machines.

@OP, look up and try the VPN tunneling services. You might have a bad routing to Anet server. Not Anet fault but it’s the datacenter (ISP provider) is giving you a bad latency.

If you use tunneling service, this allow you to reroute onto a better connection.

Just like Highway, your common highway is jammed. Try another highway and you have a toll to pay.

During the peak time in LA, everyone will end up on Overflow to group and Join In for Frac. BUT during the regular non-peak hours is a MAJOR problem.

1. Can’t find group at preferred level.
2. Found group on gw2lfg.com BUT can’t join in due it’s an official home server you can’t join in.
3. Sit in LA for 4 hours… to wait for overflow players or relog be on overflow.
4. Else quit.

I just turned on Ambient Occlusion in my Nvidia control panel and I know it’s buggy but I can see through walls just like XRay and etc. Driver 310.61

Time to report these bug with Cultural Tier 2 + Cultural Tier 3 Human light armors.

Think one problem is the game was way too accessible to many items. Like dyes I have like 250 collected+ in 2 days.

Been days, everyone is waiting for the fix! Dev, what are you doing? This is not fun at all and secondly, it’s under game breaking category.

It will take them 150 days to fix a tiny code statement. =)

It would seem all nodes, not just Ori, but Orrian Sapplings, Omnoms and the like are all moving each day instead of each build/week. Please fix this huge waste of time. Frostgorge Sound, Cursed Shore, and Southsun Cove are fine.

This is what I’ve noticed as well. I cannot find anymore of those. Usually I can get like 4-6 in a session over the map. Now each day, 0 for me. What happened?
