Anyone else find this kind of weird? … shouldn’t he be more serious about it?

For examine, he says it alot, I play a Sylvari so he says it really really weirdly, why does he always say it, I can see hes gaining Adrenaline, wouldn’t it be cooler if he was shouting angrilly or something?

No, because then Condition Damage would be even more worthless then it is now, as long as the "Condition Damage’ stat makes it critical and not “Precision” it would be fine though.

D/B is meant for Condition Damage builds and it can get up to 4000 if you stack Condition Damage, Ruining the attack for Condition Damage builds will no way help the class, D/D Thieves have enough tools, don’t take and ruin it for other thieves.

Vital Shot and Body Shot.

This is the main problem, Vital Shot seems to focus on “condition damage” while Body Shot seems to focus on vulnerability.

Body Shots Vulnerability is not enough, Body Shot deals almost no damage at all and almost does as much as Vital Shot, but the Bleed is better damage then 1 stack of vulnerability and Body Shot costs 3 initiative…

Something needs to be done, you can’t focus on both condition damage and vulnerability.

Instead of applying vulnerability, body shot should set the target on fire.

Unload should add 4 stacks of bleeding to the target and do less damage, but still hit 8 times.

Either this, or it needs to be changed to be heavy on vulnerability and focused on critical hitting.

Not just that… with the traits being synced up, you could also add more traits to make up the difference and add a unique touch.

“Sharpened Axes” – Change to “Killing Intent”
Your Melee Attacks Gain Adrenaline. (instead of just Axes.)

“Stronger Bowstrings” – Change to “Reach”
Increases Range of All Weapons and skills and shouts by 15%.
(Just make long bows shoot longer by default, its a long bow.)

“Sundering Mace” – Change to “Sunder!”
Attacks with the Main-hand weapon have a chance to to cause 1 second of weakness on a critical hit, this can only happen once every second. (So hammers do not get disadvantaged.)

“Merciless Hammer” – Change to “No Mercy”
Attacks on knocked down foes ignore their defenses and deals 5% more damage.

“Blunt Weapon Master” – Change to “Armored Hulk”
Reduces cool-downs on all Weapon Skills by 10% and reduces damage done to the warrior by 5%.

Honestly, you say its dumping down, but most classes are like this, traits arn’t meant to be switched around.

If you merged some of these traits and made them useful for all weapons, its BETTER overall for the balance of the game. (Hey I can now use axes because they give me might!) ect ect….

But it offers more playstyle choices AND better traits to be made for the future.

Several Warrior traits and builds are kind of “Must use for X”, this destroys sync and balance for most weapons, and most warriors probably wish they should be able to use things for all weapons.

So… I will start a list..

Strength:
X: Axe Mastery – rename to “Weapon Mastery”
Improves All Weapons Critical Damage by 10%.

IX: Slashing Power – rename to “Weapon Power”
All Weapons Damage is improved by 5%.
(not a nerf, because it was 10%, but only worked for GS, If you switch weapons, you still get 5% from it.)

Arms:
X: Forceful Greatsword – rename to “Forceful Strikes.”
Gain Might on a Critical hit.
Increases animation speed of all weapons by 20%.

VIII: Blackmaster -
Increases Critical Chance by 10%.

VII: Crack Shot -
Rifle/Longbow/Speargun shots pierce/skills are reset 20% More.

There are several more I want to work on, but basicly changing it so all things work for all weapons, but nerfed slightly or buffed slightly.

Duration could use an increase from 15 seconds to 25 seconds, the “bug” that fixed it screwed up alot.

Especially as a tanking thief, the vigor buff made sense.

No, because that would screw up balanced and that would make warriors, especially critical heavy ones completely overpowered, that would also make thief overpowered as well, since alot of them use critical chance builds and alot of our attacks have bleeds built into them, it would also make precision 2-3x more important then condition damage.

If you make Condition Damage Critical, you would have to nerf precision to add half the critical chance it currently adds now, and nerf several traits to about half there effectiveness.

Honestly, with the way the games set up, there is no reason to have levels on gear, so what if I can wear level 80 gear on a level 27, I earned that gear with gold/karma (ectect.) from my main, and it doesn’t give that much of a huge advantage, it just lets me look and feel the way I want to, without having to do another BORING grind to 80 to wait to wear the things i’ve been saving in my bank.

Yes, it’s not even a contest. Unless you’re traited awkwardly, the GS traits, plus the high crit + the crit dmg % easily surpasses Dual Axe.

It’s pretty simple unless you have some strange bias towards Axe over GS. The Auto attack damage of an Axe is higher than the autoattack of the GS. Traited GS gains 10% damage through Slashing Power, 20% lower CDs from Forceful Greatsword and Might on Crit. The time it takes for that Axe auto attack to finish putting out its dmg, 100Bs would be done, followed up by a Whirlwind. 6.5 seconds later you’re ready for another 100Bs, while it’s on CD, I like to swap to something else, like Axe for the auto attack or mainly a longbow to use the Adrenaline on something worthwhile. Combustive Shot>Arcing Arrow>(filler if needed) then switch back to GS (making use of Fast Hands -5sec weapon swap CD) and repeat the process. The terrible burst of the GS is halfway a boon depending on your traits. I run Berserker’s Power and Heightened focus for an additional 12% more dmg and 9% crit as long as Adrenline is at stage 3 which it always is if I never swap to my offhand due to how unappealing GS’s burst skill is.

I like GS, I like 1HD swords more because it fits my personal idea of what I’d like my Warrior to do, but I’m also not regurgitating the strange self loathing Warriors have of other GS Warriors because it’s “cookie cutter”. Even stat wise the GS is comparable to a dual wield Axe of the same Prefix. Pearl Berserker’s GS is 179 power, 129 Precision and 9% crit vs 2X Berserker Pearl Axes at 180 Power, 128 Precision and 10% crit.

At 400/400 Armorsmith/Weaponsmith I have my Swords, GS, Axes as exotic. I’ve tried them all under very many different situations and none of the weapon loadouts cover every goal of gameplay perfectly, but for overall PvE general gameplay/farming the GS beats the Axe in kill time.

Yeah thats nice and all, but GS’s have to hit to gain “Might”…

I’ve pretty much mastered exactly what GS Animations ALL look like, easy to avoid 100b and your stuck there for almost 3 seconds EVEN if you try and move.

FOR AN AXE, Did you know you can still move while using ALL axe abilitys, even the spin, YOU CAN even dodge during it.

It doesn’t matter if the Warrior knows how to play. It matters whether or not their opponent knows how to play.

You can dodge or interrupt to get out of Hundred Blades. It’s easy to see it coming, and if you really want to test this, run CM and fight the second boss. Yea, it’s really not that difficult.

How are you gonna avoid, if your stunned or rooted?

I am rolling a warrior, almost already have a full set of exotic gear for him, i’m going Shouts+Axes/Shouts+Rifle, Why? because its different and nobody knows how to counter an AXE Warrior because 6 out of 10 of the animations look EXACTLY the same, whereas the GREATSWORD all have different and slow animations.

Not to mention 1h Axe and 1h Swords animations and abilities move so fast.

Greatsword is so easy to avoid though… Whilst Axes are not, they may do less damage… but honestly, who cares if they do less damage, AXES HIT.

You may have some charges on Greatsword, but I keep Bulls Charge, Stomp, and I have my 1hSword Leap, my Rifle Slow. and if I’m hammer, I have more CC than you can shake a stick at. GL while my Team focuses you down while you’re on the ground from my hammer

Thats why you use frenzy with GS…

Axes animations are naturally faster, don’t even have to frenzy with them, you can focus on more important things, like living and using banners and shouts to cure conditions and heal yourself.

The Animation/Buffs you have TELL me exactly when your going to use 1hb, all sword animations look different and they are ALL slow.

Meanwhile, AXES abilities ALL look mostly the same, you can never tell WHICH ability your going to use.

Not only that, AXES abilities animations are almost 2x faster then swords.

I’d rather make the damage on abilities less and give you more intitative to use more then just the damage ability, which encourages faster gameplay, not slower.
