I would like to play as a ranger’s pet, more chances to get slot in the tpvp premade than as a warrior.

Why is ranger’s pet better then the Warrior?
Pros:
- More health.
- Ignores most pathing.
- Double the armor (due to perma-protection.)
- Better boons/buffs. (perma regeneration!)
- More sustain. (more HPS, better buffs.)
- Better temporary abilities. (better invulnerabilities.)
- Easier to use not so animated knockdowns. (self-explanatory.)
- Better condition removal. (All you need to do is switch me out to clear all conditions! Not only that my master can cure them off me!)
Cons:
- Less damage.
- Can’t be controlled by a player.

The 0.1% Burst you get per trait point should instead be boon hate.
It should also be buffed to 0.2% per trait point, and the new mechanic should be something else, like… Heal for 3% per boon, per critical hit.

The new flexibility is great but because of the mechanics of chain skills certain situations are actually harder to survive now… wot?
It doesn’t feel exactly like I’ve netgained survivalbility but instead that I’ve gained conditional survivalbility and otherwise had it decreased.Tried the double tap, tried storing weapon during both animations. No dice.

Its just really not worth it having a Warrior in PvP.
- No Sustain. (No way to keep myself up in a fight.)
- No Condition Removal besides what everyone else can get “Items/Stats.” (Yes, this includes SHOUT build, which now rangers can do way better!)
- Underpowered Weapons. (No point in having weapons when they are horrible.)
- Forced to run away. (Yes, Warriors are now the Kings of running away.)
- Toughness is a JOKE. (Toughness needs to do something else, Protection offers more armor then 3000 armor.)
And last but not least…
- Ranger pets are pretty much warriors now in pvp, they have as much armor/more health and do almost as much damage, they are just a bit slower. However, ranger pets are.
- Tankier. (Perma Protection!)
- Have more sustain. (More ways to regenerate health in battle!)
- Have better Condition Removal.
- Have better ohcrapbuttons
- Arn’t even players.

So my thief just downed a ranger.
After almost downing it, the rangers pet interrupts me, then starts chasing me around as I try and kill it. Then downs me with a 6k hit.
Then it proceeds to rez the downed ranger, then they both destroy me.

This allows people with certain traits to become immune to movement based conditions, please lower it to 20% or add a global cool-down so it only reduces one condition by 40% every 5 seconds.

That trait is insanely good. It stacks additively with all other condi removal and reduces any cripple and immob to basically nothing!
I had a feeling this was the case.
Runes of Melandru + Bowl of Lemongrass Poultry Soup + Dogged March = immune to cripple, chilled and immobilize.
I am unstoppable.
I just pvped with all three, not the case.

Dogged March and Destruction of the Empowered are godlike. Add to that the +180 Power and Unblockable status from Signet of Might and the Warrior is back where it belongs. It made this class feel like a WARRIOR again.

So I know Omnomberry Pie used to be OP before the internal cooldown was added and now it is no where near as useful as it was.
What if the Warrior had a trait that gave lets say 33% chance to steal life on critical with no internal cooldown? This would give the Warrior some sustainability but still keep Anet’s theme for the warrior.
Why not “Heal when you gain a strike of adrenaline?” grandmaster trait. Would actually give us a reason to use burst.

Gain protection and retaliation (5s) when you take more than 10% of your health in a single strike. This effect can only trigger every 15 seconds. (This will help immensely in PvE, especially against chain knock-down mobs…)

It was an easilly abused trait which is why its removed, developers don’t like traits that can be abused with items and food and runes.
It could also be used with Healing Seed Trees in World Events to make you immune to conditions as well if your not a sylvari.
It is more balanced now!
And balance is good!
How was it easily abused? Elementalists don’t have that many ways of applying regen, even if they did changing Healing Seed would have made more sense since not all Elementalists have access to it.

I highly doubt ANet would do anything to the Healing Signet passive because it would impact the value of other Warrior healing abilities. However, the activation of signets (also eluded to potentially being changed) is definitely something that should be considered by ANet (i.e. Heal + Protection Boon, Heal + Regeneration Boon, Heal + Retaliation Boon, etc.)
I would be surprised if anything happened to it really. It’s like asking if Signet of Rage will see a change.
How would it inpact them? HS has poor opportunity cost because it doesn’t heal you when your HP is full and you can’t really save it for when ya need it.
the other heals have HIGHER HPS and effects added to them.

Not true, warriors have recieved some of the biggest non-direct nerfs in the game so far.
Once you lose 40% of warrior damage for 45 seconds out of every 60, your range damage goes from strongest to pitiful, and they reduce you to one build, then nerf it to the ground, warriors have a basis to complain about nerfs. Till then, enjoy how good they’ve got it.
Rangers have higher DPS then we do, if you take account there pets. Perhaps they should lower there DPS as well?
dude, what rock are you hiding under – with pets, rangers get normal damage. since the pets are generally dead or wandering about not attacking what rangers are targetting, their dps is 40% less than anybody elses.
If you’re complaining about the glassier pets (cats and birds) remember that to get the pets to hit that hard, they traited 30 into beast mastery, and 0 into their power spec. So the pet may be hitting for good numbers, but the ranger is doing no damage themselves.
This is not a good tradeoff when you consider that in wvw and dungeons, pets are dead most of the time.
Bad rangers pets are dead, good rangers must manage there pets.

Warriors were always supposed to be a mobile class, that’s in their official description.
I’m not sure that a warrior can out run an Ele with only using a Greatsword, you’ll most likely need Sword/Greatsword to catch the typical full-escaping-utility Ele.
Here is a little fun thing to enjoy. I will make a scenario “what if…” and those who want to play will tell “what happen”. Here go
Scenario 1: What if one day Anet apply these change:
Warrior Rush skill 20s CD on hit and 40s CD on miss.
Ranger Whoosh skill 20s CD on hit and 40s CD on miss.
Warrior can not use heal while in Endure Pain state.And all other moving skill that has the similar effect or give invulnerable or no dams apply the same change.
So what you guys think will happen. Discuss.

I run 3x runes and boon duration so I have 100% swiftness + shield I get leap, I’m fast and I sacrifice a lot for it.
I got chased by an ele and they stayed with me for half the map until one of their friends arrived.
Ele is one of the most OP classes, if you can’t make it work on an ele please quit or learn how to press F1 to F4 properly.
Good eles either win, or can run off rather easily. If they get downed just wisp form behind keeps/enemy lines.
Oh looking at your post history you’re bitter about a lot of things.
what if.. well see what do you seem to even for more can do ele when warrior was on you then?

Rush was an AOE skill and hit multiple targets.
Rush was uneffected by slows/immobilize/cripples.
Rush had better tracking/was faster. (IE, it has a 90% miss rate.)

1) It scales worse with healing. 3.33% vs 5% or 10%
2) You have no control over your healing. An ele can use insta attacks (including attune switching attunement) to get a boost. A thief can use rapid attacks. A warrior can ??
Now the advantage of the warrior version is that it works while you are stunned or have no enemy to attack. But that’s weak compared to being able to burst heal with the signet by either using rapid fire/install attacks
Changing the warrior version to be on adrenaline gain would make it a lot like the thief version. So that’s not good from a classes are unique standpoint.
I’d love to see some healing-on-burst added to the skill. So 200 HP/sec, and 50 health per strike used by a burst skill
How about “Gain 50-75 health each strike of adrenaline?” and 200 health per second.
That way it would be more during the fight (when we need it.) rather then people just using it to run away.So using Signet of Fury would get you 1,500-2,250 instant heal? Berserker’s Stance would regenerate 250-375 hp per second? Traited 150-225 hp every crit on an axe? An extra 400-600 hp on shout usage?
Actually, the way adrenaline strikes are, Signet of Fury and Healing Surge would not heal you at all, they are not “strikes.”
Berserker’s Stance gives 5 strikes, so it would proc all 5 heals and actually make the stance viable for the utility slot it takes.

There is a different from gaining “strikes” and “Adrenaline: 30” Adrenaline: 30 does not give you any strikes, it just fills it up, so it wouldn’t heal you.

Currently: 1% life force every 3 seconds. (Basicly worthless in all types of gameplay, it doesn’t even work out of combat. It should be atleast 1% every second forever regardless if your in combat or not, but that doesn’t even sound like its worse the slot either!
Or…
Passive: Steals health when you attack.
Healing: 62 (0.06)?
Damage: 62 (0.06)?That gives the signet what necromancer desperately needs. “FLAVOR.”
While this idea would be cool, it would probably fall under a healing signet (which we oddly dont have).
Also signet of Locust has a clickable AE damage/healing ability, your idea also would make more sense with that one as well.
TBH signet of Undeath should A) be an elite, B ) be buffed significantly. Utility skill shouldnt have 180 second cd imo…
Perhaps
1. make it an elite
2. increase the lifeforce regen to out-of-combat as well.
3. Add – for reach teammate ressurected spawn a temporary pet.
Necromancers claim to have attrition, but they do not have much. :/

Compared to guardian access to retal its pretty meh for grandmaster talent as it is. I ran it for a while and tried to make it work.

The problem with swiftness is that everyone thinks they’re entitled to it without having to make any tradeoffs.
You want 100% swiftness? Runes of the centaur and 5 points in acrobatics. That’s much better than what most other classes have to do, especially since theifs already have a 25% run sig.
Like what other classes? Mesmer? They don’t really need swiftness that much, most of there attacks and spells are ranged. Movement speed doesn’t matter much when moving backwards and kiting.
