+1 that’s not what’s needed I agree. Thieves are tricksters but they are nowhere near invulnerable.

Too bad all the balance team cares about is buffing the warrior further, since it’s their pet class.
I’d love to have some bug fixes that have existed since launch on some of my thief’s skills, at least, or maybe not be forced to go into D/D every time since condition damage with a thief is completely pointless and S/D is getting nerfed, yet again, while warrior has free reign to have the highest health regen on a passive signet while still doing more damage than any other class.
i have the feeling this guys is right…the Venom Share is also quite pointless, along with the PVE condi thief

Venomous Aura was very difficult to use, as the radius was fairly tight. We’ve now increased that radius a bit, so that it’s easier to share venoms with allies without huddling closely together.We’re also looking at shaving the efficiency of Flanking Strike slightly, so that it now only removes 1 b detailoon instead of 2.
Also, pistol main hand may see one of its skills reworked to better support allies. We have multiple prototypes that we’re trying out, so we’ll have to see which we settle on by the next release.
i think lowering the cost of LS to 1 ini would be a nice return to the nerf from 2 buffs stolen to 1. Why ? We still need to pay the 3 ini for IS. “Removing”, i was thinking we are stealing them to give to us. Are you guys planning to nerf it hard and rebuff it later on ? Strange way you have to balance things…
Venom Aura was described in detail by me what it needed in a previous post.
Altering conditions to 5stack max, will make it nearly useless in PvE vs dungeon boss.
you can give it 9999 range, but if it’s not worth it, no one will take it. simple.
and finally you are paying attention to LFG tool ingame … finally you guys are doing something usefull for us !!! the site was a workaround …. not perfect, not 100% up and it isn’t yours either
…..do you know what happens when it is down ? LOTS of unhappy customers !

we wanted at least 450 range on the kitten venom share, why it’s so complicated to undertand ?
600 would be ideal, to be on par with the banner range (untraited)
the OMG the venom share is OP … well…. it is strenghtening the party, but YOU are weak alone, sacrificing at least 3 traits (one beeing grandmaster)
zerg warfare, they are anyway 500 / sq meter, so range is not an issue there, but in PVE partys….oh boy…
not even mentioning that you have to give up the 30 in CS to get the lol venom share
objects are still immune to conditions, so .give me 1 solid reason to take it
(hint: the Lotus Poison nerf made the venom share more crappy than it was already, and the 5max debuff stacks, make things even worse, you think adding 60 more range after all this nerfs will change my option from pure dps build ??? hell no)
let me give you an example:
All duration stacking boons(Aegis, Fury, protection, Regeneration, Retaliation, Swiftness, and Vigor) and conditions(Blind, Burning, Chilled, Cripple, immobilze(now stacks duration), and Poison) now stack to a maximum of 5 times.
you activate “Spider Venom” via venom share, all 5 players are melee. The boss gets 5 stacks of poison, rest is wasted. (same as the other venoms)
1.either you guys are clueless how skills/traits/durations influence each other or 2.you want to heavly nerf a practically non-existant pve build

Looks like the damage from LH and FGS were “unintended” so Anet just nerfed them. By how much? Or was this a thing of the original patch accidentally buffed the conjures and this patch just restored them to what damage they were a few days ago?

i am proposing that, while in combat, you get the revealed “buff”
Ragnarok players should be familiar with this skill, it could be interesting for stealth mech to change into this, which could reduce the amount of QQ on stealth.
basically “stalk” is a stealth mechanic that leaves a subtle trail of footprints, so you’ll still be able to tell where the thief is, but the thief will only be revealed if hit by an aoe or etc.
i approve the stealth nerf !

Several friends and I recently had our kitten handed to us by a pair of bleed thieves using DB.
This isn’t a moan/nerf post, I was amazed by how effective it was at taking us down and our inability to damage them… Kudos to them :-)I see lots of guys/gals talk about p/d and d/p builds but rarely hear mention of the bleed db build – and I can tell you, it is super effective (or was against my friends, myself and several others who foolishly tried to help) hehe
Nothing more amusing than to die, then some big-headed guy/gal comes along boasting about how he never dies to thieves and how we must be noob/pve’ers… then 5 minutes later he’s dead next to you

…Is the single most overpowered utility in the game, and I’m absolutely mind boggled that i don’t see EVERY thief using this in SPvP.

its totally insane how a class with stealth can just pop it and even when hit directly remain in stealth, classes like thief just stealth spam using cloak and dagger and reset a fight at will, it takes no great feat of skill to just spam stealth nonstop stabing a player who has no clue where you are.
yes I have an 80 thief.
Stealth should not remove target lock, you should regain lock once they appear.
stealth should not be stackable.
stealth should be removed when they attack and are blocked.
any and all action from stealth should remove stealth.
if you take a direct hit (not aoe) you should have stealth removed.

why? they have moar mobility and stealth as compensation !
any S/D + non S/D(ex. Shortbow) is not viable anymore in spvp or tpvp cuz of high init. cost of Larcenous strike or unless if you gonna go S/D+S/D. so most of the players now using S/P Shortbow cuz pistol whip dmg is really good with stunevade and 5init. cost is just fine! 1 pistol whip can kill a foe @ 70% hp… but LS 5 init. cost 1/2sec casting time is really hard to hit unless if u gonna spam it… but 1 FS+LS damage is almost 40%-50% lesser than the dmg of 1 pistol whip flurries.
i think PW needs to be nerfed again !!!

To add to this,
At best, this skill doesn’t miss and you can kinda catch someone, though less than just using heartseeker or any other gap closer. At worst, it’ll be “obstructed” by a blade of grass. As if it wasn’t underwhelming already, the tooltip needed to be wrong and for the worse.
Ever wonder why no one reported this? Nobody uses this skill seriously. The damage nerf more or less killed it completely, and now, it’s also useless for condition thieves due to the godawful duration. #1 testing anet.

Hello, after dumping a ton of time and money into my elementalist, I’m finally starting to feel underpowered in that class and I’d like to possible switch my main to a thief, however I’d like to know how great they are in PvE content. My only experience with thieves is in spvp.
So please tell me possible builds, weaponsets, strategies, gear advice, and whatnot. Thanks!
a better choice would be warrior or guardian, trust me
